Abstract

The ability to flexibly use mathematical representations is a crucial aspect of mathematics learning, particularly in solving problems through intra- and inter-representational transformations. However, the influence of learning styles on representational flexibility remains underexplored. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical representational flexibility in solving set problems based on Kolb's learning styles (Accommodator, Assimilator, Diverger, and Converger). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving 12 eighth-grade students selected through a Kolb learning style questionnaire. Data were collected using a mathematical representation flexibility test, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The research instruments included test sheets and interview guidelines, analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings revealed that Accommodator students excel in recognition and treatment but are limited in conversion, while Assimilator students demonstrate high flexibility in conversion. Diverger students are strong in recognition, whereas Converger students show excellent initial visualization but need reinforcement in treatment. Teachers are encouraged to implement learning strategies tailored to student's learning styles to enhance their representational flexibility. Future research should explore other mathematical topics or different educational levels.

Abstract

Produksi konten video pembelajaran sangat penting untuk digunakan pada era digital. Konten video pembelajaran menyediakan akses ke lebih banyak siswa dan memfasilitasi kegiatan pembelajaran campuran (blended learning) atau pembelajaran hybrid. Namun, saat ini banyak guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) yang memiliki problem tersendiri dalam pembuatan konten video pembelajaran. Hal ini juga dialami oleh para guru MI di wilayah Sumbermanjing, Kromengan, dan Kepanjen (SuKroJen) yang mengalami permasalahan dalam produksi video pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran bagi guru MI se-Kelompok Kerja Madrasah (KKM) Sukrojen. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara offline dan online kepada 56 guru MI. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa para peserta antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan, yaitu 45% peserta sangat antusias, 34% peserta antusias, dan 21% peserta menyatakan netral. Selain itu, 86% guru MI telah berhasil mengunggah konten video pembelajaran masing-masing ke channel YouTube mereka.

Abstract

Learning mathematics at the basic education level is not easy, many challenges and obstacles arise to ensure that students really understand the addition and subtraction material well during learning activities. The objectives of this study are: 1) Identify the forms of student learning difficulties in understanding the concepts and procedures of addition and subtraction of Hundreds, 2) Describe the learning methods used by teachers in learning mathematics. 3) Analyzing the factors that cause low student motivation in learning mathematics. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 22 students of class V-B MI Roudlotul Uqul as observation subjects during learning activities, and 2 students as test subjects. The results showed that the form of difficulty experienced by students in performing arithmetic operations was the occurrence of misconceptions on the concept of place value, not understanding the concept of saving and borrowing. The factors that cause students' learning difficulties are internal factors, which include students' physical, psychological, and intellectual conditions, and external factors, which include teachers' teaching methods, learning environment, and social factors.

Abstract

The development of the 21st century demands that students not only have the ability to think critically and creatively, but also communication skills, especially in mathematics learning. However, various studies show that students still have difficulty communicating their mathematical ideas, both verbally and in writing, especially when working in groups and facing contextual problems. The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical communication profile of students in solving contextual problems collaboratively reviewed based on high, medium, and low self-efficacy. A qualitative approach with an exploratory research type is used in this study. The subject of the study is a student of class XI MAN 2 Malang. The research data were obtained through the results of the Contextual Problem Solving Task (TPMK) and interviews. Data analysis was carried out by the triangulation method. The results showed that students with high self-efficacy tended to communicate their mathematical ideas orally. Students with self-efficacy showed balanced verbal and written communication but were less consistent in explaining mathematical models and operations, while students with low self-efficacy were more dominant in written communication.

Abstract

Upaya pengembangan potensi alam sangatlah penting untuk meningkatkan potensi wisata Desa Jatisari. Beberapa cara dilakukan untuk menjadikannya sebagai desa wisata. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk mengembangkan potensi wisata yang dapat meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat di Desa Jatisari Kecamatan Tajinan Kabupaten Malang. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan untuk kegiatan pengembangan wisata ini adalah survei lokasi wisata dan perancangan desain. Kegiatan ini berupa perancangan desain wisata dengan bentuk animasi. Pihak perangkat desa dan masyarakat memberikan respons positif terhadap produk rancangan. Hasil perancangan ini dapat dijadikan acuan untuk pembangunan selanjutnya secara bertahap.Kata Kunci: perancangan desain; potensi alam; desa wisata.Tourism Design Design for the Development of Jatisari Village's Natural PotentialABSTRACT Efforts to develop natural potential are very important to increase the tourism potential of Jatisari Village. Several methods are used to make it a tourism village. The purpose of this activity is to develop tourism potential that can improve the economy of the community in the Jatisari Village, Tajinan District, Malang. The implementation method used for this tourism development activity was a survey of tourist sites and design construction. The activity is in the form of tourism design construction with an animation form. Village officials and the community responded positively to the product design. The results of this design can be used as a reference for further development gradually.Keywords: design construction; natural potential; tourism village.

Abstract

National education has the goal of shaping the morals of students who are truehearted and dedicated to God. As part of national education, Islamic-integrated mathematics learning becomes a bridge to achieve this goal. This study aims to explore the concept of mathematics in the hadith with the theme of the virtue of reciting shalawat. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods. Data were obtained from hadith books, hadith applications, articles, and relevant documents. The results showed that there are three mathematical concepts in the hadith related to the virtue of reciting shalawat. The mathematical concepts found include the concept of numbers (natural numbers, integers, positive integers, odd numbers, and even numbers), arithmetic operations (addition operations), and the concept of relations and functions (bijective functions). The results of this study can be used as a reference for learning resources related to Islamic integrated mathematics derived from hadith with the theme of the virtue of reading shalawat.

Abstract

Fuzzy time series is a forecasting method that handles data uncertainty by applying fuzzy set theory. This study compares the forecasting accuracy of the Chen fuzzy time series method, modified using Fuzzy C-Means (FCM), and the Lee method in predicting Indonesian coal prices from January 2019 to December 2023. The Chen method is en hanced by generating fuzzy intervals through FCM to better reflect data distribution, while the Lee method uses weighted fuzzy logical relationships. Forecast accuracy is measured using Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The modified Chen method achieves a MAPE of 2.56% compared to 5.07% for the Lee method. These results show that cluster ing techniques like FCM can improve fuzzy time series forecasting. This contrasts with earlier studies that favored the Lee method and highlights the potential of adaptive interval construction for volatile commodity prices. The proposed modification offers a promising alternative for improving prediction accuracy in economic time series.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir divergen perlu dikembangkan untuk menciptakan siswa yang kreatif. Namun, pada kenyataannya, kemampuan berpikir divergen masih memerlukan peningkatan. Soal open-ended menjadi salah satu cara yang memungkinkan siswa untuk memperluas pengetahuan mereka dengan menyelesaikan masalah melalui berbagai solusi yang beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal open-ended materi barisan dan deret ditinjau dari adversity quotient (AQ). Kemampuan berpikir divergen dalam penelitian ini di dasarkan pada tiga aspek yaitu fluency, flexibility dan originality. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 siswa kelas XI. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, angket, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu reduksi data, menyajikan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan paparan dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat variasi kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa. Siswa yang memiliki AQ tipe climber memenuhi semua indikator dari aspek berpikir divergen baik fluency, flexibility, dan originality. Siswa dengan AQ tipe camper memenuhi aspek fluency saja sedangkan flexibility dan originality tidak terpenuhi. Kemudian siswa dengan AQ tipe quitter tidak memenuhi semua indikator pada aspek berpikir divergen baik itu fluency, flexibility maupun originality. Divergent thinking abilities need to be developed to create creative students. However, in reality, divergent thinking skills are still require improvement. Open-ended questions are a way that allows students to expand their knowledge by solving problems through a variety of solutions. This research aims to describe students' divergent thinking abilities in solving open-ended problems regarding sequences and series in terms of the adversity quotient (AQ). The ability to think divergently in this research is based on three aspects, namely fluency, flexibility and originality. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this research were 6 students of class XI. The data collection techniques used were tests, questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model which consists of 3 stages, namely data reduction, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Based on the presentation and data analysis, it showed that there were variations in students' divergent thinking ability. Students who have climber type AQ meet all indicators of divergent thinking aspects, including fluency, flexibility and originality. Students with camper type AQ only meet the fluency aspect, while flexibility and originality are not met. Then students with quitter type AQ do not meet all the indicators in the divergent thinking aspect, be it fluency, flexibility or originality.
