Abstract

The purpose of the study describes the driving school in managing human resources, managing learning in order to, utilizing digitalization, implementing mentoring activities and budget management to develop teacher performance at State Junior High School 1 Seunagan. The research method is qualitative descriptive. Informants consist of the principal, education staff and teachers. Data collection using interviews, observation and documentation and analysis is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study indicate that in managing human resources in order to develop teacher performance, various training activities are carried out to teachers, both through seminars, workshops, discussions in teacher work groups and conducting supervision. In managing learning, it is done by designing learning in accordance with the Operational Curriculum of the Education Unit, implementing a differentiated learning pattern and implementing the P5 program in various learning activities by teachers. In utilizing digitalization, it is done by utilizing the teacher competency development platform, Learning Platform, Platform as a school resource and utilizing digital media such as the Canva application as a facility for designing learning and in carrying out mentoring activities, it is done by holding various discussion activities through academic supervision by the principal, discussions with supervising teachers, as well as training and mentoring, such as workshops and seminars.

Abstract

Purpose - This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of implementing AI-based science learning integrated with a deep learning approach in improving the academic achievement of inclusive students. This study also evaluated the impact of deep learning strategies on inclusive students' conceptual understanding, engagement, and critical thinking skills in science learning.Methodology – This study uses a quantitative approach with 25 elementary school students, including inclusive students who have adopted or tried AI-based or deep learning-based educational tools in science lessons.Findings – The results of this study indicate that the implementation of AI-based science learning and deep learning positively impacted the academic achievement of elementary school students, including those with special needs. The average post-test score for students increased by 21%, comparable to their peers. Observational data show that inclusive students are more actively engaged during learning. AI features such as voice support, visual simulations, and interactive tasks helped reduce learning barriers, boost their confidence, and increase their participation in science learning activities. Student feedback collected during the learning sessions indicated that most students found the AI-based learning tools enjoyable and easy to use. Paired-sample t-test results showed a statistically significant difference between pre- and post-test scores (p < 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of AI-based learning and deep learning in improving students' science learning outcomes.Contribution – The results of this study demonstrate that AI-based learning tools, integrated with deep learning strategies, are highly effective in supporting inclusive education. AI adapts to diverse learning needs and can reduce barriers for students with special needs in the classroom, benefiting learning for diverse students.

Abstract

Penelitian mikrofasies batugamping Formasi Sentolo dilakukan di daerah Karangsari, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. Formasi Sentolo terdiri dari batugamping dan perselingan napal-batugamping. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi mikrofasies dan lingkungan pengendapanpada batugamping di Formasi Sentolo menggunakan analisis petrografi. Analisis dilakukan terhadap sepuluh sampel batugamping menggunakan metode petrografi untuk menginterpretasikan tipe mikrofasies dan lingkungan pengendapan, dengan delapan sampel di antaranya juga dianalisis foraminifera bentik besar untuk menentukan umur relatif. Karakteristik yang paling menonjol pada hasil analisis komposisi batuan adalah melimpahnya fragmen fosil foraminifera bentik besar dan alga. Analisis foraminifera bentik besar pada lokasi penelitian menunjukan umur Miosen (Te5–Tf), berdasarkan kehadiran asosiasi spesies Operculinoides panamensis, Amphistegina bowdenensis, Amphistegina lessonii, Operculina sp., dan Elphidium sp. Dua mikrofasies utama berhasil diidentifikasi, yaitu fasies foraminiferal wackestone yang mewakili lingkungan laut dalam toe-of-slope (FZ3), dan fasies amphistegina grainstone/ packstone yang mencerminkan lingkungan open marine (FZ7) pada bagian backreef. Perubahan lingkungan pengendapan dari laut dalam menuju laut dangkal mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh fluktuasi muka air laut serta kontrol morfologi sisa gunungapi purba terhadap sistem pengendapan karbonat di Pegunungan Kulon Progo.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the ability of the driving teacher in developing himself as a principal at Sukadamai Elementary School, Aceh Besar. The research method is qualitative with a descriptive type. The research informants consist of the principal, subject teachers, curriculum team leaders and education staff. Data collection uses interviews, observation and documentation and analysis is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study indicate that the driving teacher in developing himself as a principal at Sukadamai Elementary School, Aceh Besar has the ability to lead his school effectively, innovatively, and student-centered, so that he is able to bring positive changes in the school environment and improve the quality of education at Sukadamai Elementary School, Aceh Besar. The ability of the principal who has a background as a driving teacher at Sukadamai Elementary School is seen from the aspects of leadership skills, collaboration and innovation that have been developed, self-development, learning development and improving the quality of education in the school he leads.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of leadership style in Islamic boarding schools in preserving the traditional Islamic boarding school culture as local wisdom of Aceh.Methodology – This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design through a structured questionnaire on the leaders, teachers, and staff of the Insafuddin Integrated Islamic Boarding School, Banda Aceh. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality tests, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression to measure the influence of leadership style on the maintenance of Islamic boarding school culture.Findings – This study shows that leadership style positively affects efforts to maintain the traditional Islamic boarding school culture, as the local wisdom of Aceh. The results of simple linear regression analysis show a regression coefficient value of 0.533 and a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.211, which means that leadership style explains 21.1% of the variation in efforts to preserve Islamic boarding school culture. This finding shows that leadership plays an important role in maintaining the sustainability of Islamic boarding school cultural values amidst the challenges of modernization.Contribution – This study contributes to the literature on educational leadership by proposing an adaptive authority model that combines religious legitimacy, cultural roots, and participatory managerial practices. Practically, this study provides insights for Islamic boarding school leaders and policymakers in designing leadership development programs, succession planning, and managerial innovation that balance cultural preservation with the demands of modern education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low purchasing power of the community in Pidie Jaya Regency, which is suspected to be influenced by high unemployment rates and income fluctuations. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of unemployment and income levels on purchasing power during the period 1994–2023. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis, utilizing secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and related institutions. The results indicate that the unemployment rate variable (X₁) has a negative and significant effect on purchasing power (Y), while the income variable (X₂) has a positive and significant effect. These findings suggest that higher unemployment rates tend to reduce purchasing power, whereas increased income can enhance it. This highlights the need for local government policies to focus on job creation and income improvement to strengthen purchasing power and promote economic welfare in Pidie Jaya. The study is expected to serve as a reference for formulating more effective and sustainable regional economic development strategies.

Abstract

Moral degradation among students in Indonesia, especially during adolescence, demands an educational approach that fosters inclusive character and cultural values. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of inclusive character education in students through culture-based learning at Darul Aziziyah Amilin Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Subulussalam City. This qualitative study uses a descriptive approach with data collection through interviews, observation, documentation, and focus group discussions. This study involved six key informants: the principal, student coordinator, curriculum coordinator, and classroom teachers. The research findings indicate that inclusive character education is implemented by integrating the values of inclusivity and cultural respect into the learning process. This is realized through the creation of an inclusive classroom environment, the integration of local wisdom into teaching materials, and the implementation of intra- and extracurricular programs that emphasize tolerance, cooperation, and empathy. Learning is student-centered and encourages a cooperative, collaborative, and active approach. Despite facing challenges such as limited parental involvement and time constraints, the school consistently strives to improve quality through regular evaluation and communication. It can be concluded that inclusive character education supported by culture-based strategies effectively fosters moral development and social awareness among students in the context of boarding schools.

Abstract

Beton ringan merupakan beton yang memakai agregat kasar ringan dan pasir sebagai pengganti agregat halus dengan ketentuan tidak boleh melampaui berat isi maksimum beton 1850 kg/m3. Agregat kasar ringan dari batu apung mempunyai kekuatan yang rendah, dan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kekuatan beton ringan. Syarat agregat batu apung untuk dapat dipakai sebagai bahan penyusun beton ringan struktural, maka perlu dilakukan rekayasa terhadap agregatnya. Perbaikan kekuatan agregat batu apung dengan merekayasa agregat batu apung tersebut dengan memasukkan/injeksi pasta semen dalam pori-porinya menggunakan metode perendaman disertai dengan pemberian tekanan udara. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan pasta semen pada pori agregat batu apung dengan variasi faktor air semen (FAS) yaitu fas 0.50, 0.55,0.60, 0.65, 0.70, 0.75, dan 0.80 ditinjau terhadap ketahanan aus agregat, kuat tekan langsung agregat, dan kuat tekan beton dengan benda uji silinder. Benda uji tekan agregat yaitu ukuran 5cm x 5cm x 5cm dan untuk kuat tekan beton benda uji berupa silinder beton dengan diameter 150 cm dan tinggi 300cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai tertinggi terjadi dengan konsisten pada fas 0.70 baik untuk ketahan aus agregat, kuat tekan agregat, dan kuat tekan silinder beton. Besar penurunan untuk uji keausan agregat dengan perendaman 15,09% dan 21,10% dengan pemberian tekanan udara terhadap agregat tanpa rekayasa. Kenaikan uji tekan agergat, dan uji tekan silinder beton tertinggi dicapai pada perendaman dengan pemberian tekanan udara berturut-turut adalah 55,7 %; dan 22,80%, dibandingkan dengan sebelum agregat direkayasa.

Abstract

Jembatan Banyumulek merupakan jenis konstruksi jembatan prestressed yang didukung dengan sistem fondasi tiang pancang beton pracetak (Precast Reinforced Concrete Pile). Geologi bawah permukaan pada lokasi penelitian tersusun oleh endapan alluvial berupa lanau hingga pasir. Likuifaksi sangat rentan terjadi pada tanah pasir (non kohesif) dalam keadaan lepas (gradasi seragam). Beban kejut kendaraan dapat meningkatkan tekanan air pori tanah yang mengakibatkan berkurangnya tegangan efektif tanah. Jika tekanan air pori meningkat dan tegangan efektif tanah turun menjadi nol, maka tanah berperilaku sebagai cairan dan tidak mempunyai kekuatan lagi untuk menopang bangunan di atasnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan tekanan air pori tanah akibat beban kejut (tegangan dinamik) kendaraan pada jembatan Banyumulek. Analisis perhitungan tekanan air pori tanah menggunakan metode elemen hingga dengan bantuan perangkat lunak PLAXIS dua dimensi. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, diperoleh nilai perubahan tekanan air pori tanah akibat beban kejut kendaraan sebesar 450 kN/m2 atau sebesar 1.40 dari kondisi setelah dinormalisasi terhadap beban statis. Perubahan tekanan air pori tersebut mengakibatkan deformasi pada lapisan tanah sebesar 0.247 meter. Semakin besar perubahan tekanan air pori tanah, maka deformasi tanah juga semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Aplikasi metode AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) telah banyak digunakan oleh para pengambil keputusan karena respondennya cukup diwakili oleh para ahli pada bidang yang dikaji sehingga cukup efisien. Metode AHP tersebut digunakan dalam studi ini untuk membandingkan dua pilihan apakah jalan aspal lebih baik dari jalan beton pada kasus Jalan Malwatar-Labuhan Bajo, Flores, NTT. Lima belas orang responden yag berasal dari berbagai stakeholder ditentukan untuk mengisi kuisioner yang dirancang dengan lima kriteria yaitu (1) umur rencana; (2) biaya operasional kendaraan (BOK); (3) biaya pembangunan; (4) biaya perawatan; dan (5) kenyamanan berkendara. Sumber responden yang dianggap mewakili adalah Dinas Pekerjaan Umum, Konsultan, Penyedia Jasa dan Satker Pelaksanaan Jalan Nasional. Berdasarkan analisis hasil wawancara diperoleh bahwa faktor utama yang mempengaruhi pemilihan tipe jalan untuk diterapkan pada jalan Malwatar-Labuhan Bajo adalah faktor biaya perawatan dan umur rencana masing-masing 39.72 % dan 29.76 %. Berdasarkan pilihan Jalan Beton, faktor biaya perawatan dan umur rencana juga signifikan mempengaruhi masing-masing dengan bobot 39.72% dan 23.15%. Pilihan Jalan Aspal dipengaruhi signifikan oleh faktor biaya pembangunan (8.65%), kenyamanan berkendara (8.4%) dan umur rencana (6.61%). Untuk jalan Malwatar-Labuhan Bajo ini, Jalan Beton menjadi pilihan karena lebih baik dibanding Jalan Aspal dengan perbandingan 72.74% dan 27.26%.
