Abstract

This research discusses the rejection of Anak Dalam Ethnic transmigrants in Padang Tarok Village, Kamang Baru District, Sijunjung Regency. The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the reasons for the local community of Padang Tarok Village to reject the Anak Dalam Ethnic Transmigrant and to analyze it using the Social Exclusion by Rene Lenoir. This research uses a qualitative approach. The selection of informants was carried out by purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using involved observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result of the study shows that the rejection of Anak Dalam Ethnic transmigrants occurs because of differences in religious and cultural values between the Anak Dalam Ethnic and the local community of Padang Tarok Village. Due to differences in religious and cultural values between the Anak Dalam Ethnic and the local community, the transmigration program for the Anak Dalam Ethnic was not implemented according to the plan

Abstract

This research aims to explore the work of local institutions in overcoming the impact of the covid-19 outbreak and improving the economy of the community in Nagari Sungai Pinang. The concept of local institutions in this study is related to values, norms, and habits in society, both at the individual, community, and institutional levels. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques being in-depth interviews, observation, and FGD. The data were analyzed with the principles of qualitative data analysis from Miles and Huberman. The results of the study were that local institutions related to values and norms worked when the corona outbreak came. The value of helping and working together seems to encourage people to solve their own problems. Meanwhile, the value related to institutions is the role of the Nagari Traditional Kerapanan, Bundo Kanduang, and Parik Paga Nagari institutions in overcoming the COVID-19 outbreak. These local institutions are active in improving the economy of the Sungai Pinang community in agriculture, fishing, and the tourism sector. The role played by these local institutions is to encourage community members to work together to help each other, and to apply the value of land use in the agriculture, tourism, and fishing sector

Abstract

The market is a place for socio-economic activities in the regional economic growth. The existence of the main market began to be disrupted since the September 30th, 2009 earthquake, resulting in damage to the buildings of Pasar Raya Padang. Rapid handling was made by the Padang City Government through the construction of emergency stalls in the form of stalls along Jalan Sandang Pangan. The construction of emergency kiosks was opposed by some traders because of declining income and lack of visitors. This condition triggered a prolonged conflict for five years (2009-2014). The length of this conflict process makes it important to be explored further with regard to the involvement of third parties in resolving the post-2009 earthquake market conflict. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of descriptive research. Informants in this study were determined by intentional (purposive). Informants who contributed to this finding were 14 people with 5 women and 9 men. This research shows that the third party is the Regional Representative Council of the City of Padang and the National Commission on Human Rights (KOMNASHAM) of the Republic of Indonesia. The third party involvement carried out by the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) was hearing to the traders of Pasar Raya Padang and involving their representatives at hearings, working meetings of DPRD which discussed issues related to commission II. The next role is the role as the guardian of the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction process and striving for the realization of the budgeting in the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) in accordance with the needs of traders. Whereas the KOMNASHAM has a position and commitment not in line with the conflicting parties, but its role as a human rights guard positions it structurally as a neutral mediator.

Abstract

Precaution against the act of suicide not only a responsibility government officials but must be shared responsibility all members of the community. How empower communitymembers to prevent the act of suicide in by teenagers? Problems solutions by using the methodinformation about the phenomenon suicide and factors encourages young people do kill as wellas the cause preceded it; formulate with an appropriate way in preventing the act of suicide.The role of kaders in resolving the conflict suicides among teenagers very important. A rolethat can be run by kader is as an adviser, motivator for the teenager who was desperate, anddiseminator various knowledge and how to resolve the problems faced by teenagers andfacilitators activities test to fill leisure teenagers. Make kader can act independent in dealingwith the youth in their environment is very important for handling the suicide are visible notopen detectable since the beginning.The various need to get knowledge to run the role of themotivator and advisor for youth who trouble.

Abstract

Dalam masyarakat Minangkabau yang berdasarkan adat bersendi syara’, syara’ bersendikan kitabullah, LBGT merupakan perilaku menyimpang. Perilaku menyimpang adalah tindakan yangmelanggar aturan-aturan atau pranata sosial yang berlaku dalam sistem sosial (Soetomo, 2006).Banyak faktor yang menjadi penyebab seseorang menjadi penyuka sesama jenis. Berdasarkan hasilidentifikasi sebanyak 14 persen penyuka sesama jenis disebabkan karena pernah disakiti dandikecewakan lawan jenis, dan 13,8 persen berada di lingkungan komunitas LGBT, 12,9 persen dirayuoleh pelaku LGBT, 8,2 persen pernah disodomi waktu kecil dan ada 5,5 persen dididik tidak sesuaidengan gender, misalnya memberi boneka pada laki-laki. Perilaku LGBT telah menimbulkan berbagaidampak yang merugikan masyarakat. Kepala Bidang Pemenuhan Hak Anak dari LembagaPerlindungan Anak Indonesia (LPAI), Reza Indra Giri menilai, bahwa lesbian, gay, biseksual, dantransgender (LGBT) merupakan ancaman bagi kehidupan bangsa Indonesia yang religius. Kehidupanberagama, ketahanan keluarga dan kepribadian bangsa. Dalam konteks sistem hukum, LGBT menjadiancaman besar terhadap sistem hukum perkawinan di Indonesia serta mengancam generasi penerusbangsa. Secara individu, perilaku LGBT dapat menjadi media penularan HIV/AIDS. Spesialis kulit dankelamin dokter Dewi Inong Irana mengemukakan, kelompok Lelaki Seks dengan Lelaki (LSL) atau yangdikenal sebagai gay, 60 kali lipat lebih gampang tertular HIV/AIDS. Meningkatnya jumlah pelakuLGBT dan gambaran hasil penelitian mengisyaratkan bahwa keluarga dan tokoh masyarakat perlulebih diberdayakan dalam mencegah warga masyarakat berafiliasi terhadap gerakan sosial LGBT.Permasalahan mitra yang perlu dipecahkan adalah bagaimana memberdayakan keluarga dan tokohmasyarat untuk mencegah agar masyarakat tidak berafiliasi dengan gerakan sosial LGBT.

Abstract

To be able to be the last stronghold in preventing and overcoming drug abuse, all local institutions need to be empowered. Through the empowerment of local institutions, it is expected to be able to identify the signs of children involved in drug abuse so that it can be easier to prevent and overcome them. Community service is carried out using the Lecture method and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The targets and targets of this activity are the board of the Community Empowerment Institution (LPM) of the Nagari Indigenous Density (KAN), Bundo Kanduang, Youth Organizations, Nagari Apparatus, Nagari Deliberation Board. The activity was carried out in Nagari Mandeh, District XI Koto Tarusan, Pesisir Selatan Regency on September 1, 2019. The results of the activity could increase the knowledge of the management of local institutions in identifying drug addicts and awareness of the importance of administrators of local institutions to help prevent drug abuse in Nagari Mandeh.

Abstract

A correct understanding of sexual orientation can prevent community members exposure to male sexual behavior with men (Gay) and transmission of HIV/AIDS. Dedication aims to build awareness and commitment of village officials, community leaders and village cadres to take responsibility in preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS through sexual relations between men and men (Gay). Community service activities were carried out in Nagari Batu Gadang Kuranji Hilir, Sungai Geringging District, Padang Pariaman Regency on 30-31 October 2019. The method of empowering village apparatus, community leaders, and village cadres with counseling and focus group discussions. The results of the activity showed that participants' understanding of the dangers of MSM sex and HIV/AIDS transmission increased and the growth of a shared commitment to prevent transmission of HIV/AIDS through MSM sex.

Abstract

Nagari Sungai Pinang is a village with quite a lot of tourism potential and an excellent and exciting view and natural beauty. For this reason, various sector reinforcement is necessary to support the development of tourism potential by formulating a program of tourism development activities that are environmentally sound. The purpose of this activity was to improve the quality of tourism in the Nagari, namely Nagari Sungai Pinang, to increase the economic income of the community and the village itself. At the same time, the purpose of the activity was to facilitate Nagari in developing environmentally friendly tourism businesses by compiling a five-year tourism development program in Nagari Sungai Pinang. The methods used to carry out this activity were Desk Study and Transect Walk, observation, focus group discussion and data analysis. The trial activities were carried out in Nagari Sungai Pinang, Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The activity results were in an activity program for tourism development for five years in Nagari Sungai Pinang. The tourism development strategy is held by empowering tourism actors and involved stakeholders. Moreover, achieve the sustainability of the program. Good planning is carried out in a participatory manner involving various elements to build a sense of belonging to various parties and realize program sustainability.

Abstract

In order to be able to play a role in preventing and overcoming drug abuse, all community leaders and local social institutions need to be empowered. The purpose of this service activity was to understand the management of Community Representative Institutions, Kerapatan Adat Nagari, Bundo Kanduang, Youth Organizations, and Nagari officials in identifying signs of children entangled in drug abuse and empowering them to prevent and overcome drug abuse. The method used to carry out this activity was counselling and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). This activity involved the Nagari Duo Koto apparatus, Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency. Service activities have been running smoothly, concluding that efforts to prevent drug abuse are very appropriate if done with an approach from local institutions, especially Nagari, to invite the younger generation to have awareness together to stay away from drugs. The team of community service recommended regularly holding outreach events about drugs' effects to attract all parties' attention. So that drug problems can be anticipated before a case occurs in the Nagari.
