Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of scrapbook media on student learning outcomes of the material of kingdoms in the archipelago of grade IV of Ciwuni 01 Kesugihan State Elementary School. This study applies a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were 30 grade IV B elementary school students who were determined as saturated samples. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, pretest-posttest. The data obtained were then analyzed using paired sample tests and N-Gain tests. The results showed an average pretest of 68,50 increased to 85,83 in the posttest. The results of the paired sample t-test of the study obtained a t-test value (-12.095) with a significance of 0,000 <0,05 and the N-Gain Test obtained an average of 59,69 "quite effective" with t count> t table, namely 12,095> 2,045, so it can be seen that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This shows that scrapbook media has a significant and effective influence in improving the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of Ciwuni 01 Kesugihan Elementary School on the material of kingdoms in the archipelago.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of visual elements and interpret the expressive meaning in elementary school students' artwork themed "My Surrounding Environment." The approach used is descriptive qualitative with visual analysis techniques. The research subjects consist of ten works from fourth-grade students, analyzed based on four main aspects: line, shape, color, and composition. Data were collected through documentation of the artwork, observation of the learning activities, and reflective notes from the teacher. The results show that lines are used by the children as a means of expressing emotions and movement; geometric and organic shapes reflect symbolic representations of their visual experiences; bright colors such as green, blue, and yellow indicate positive feelings toward the environment; and simple compositions show an intuitive balance typical of elementary school age. Expressively, the students' artwork conveys values such as cooperation, responsibility, and care for nature. The findings emphasize that visual arts education in elementary schools plays a crucial role in developing visual literacy, ecological awareness, and character formation through a creative, reflective, and contextual process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of the innovative Periscope Grid media based on hybrid learning in two-dimensional drawing lessons for elementary students. The media was designed to help students understand perspective and proportion concepts by combining a manual transparent grid frame with digital features accessed through QR codes linked to tutorial videos, artwork galleries, and reflective learning materials. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving fourth-grade elementary students. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of students’ artwork. The data were analyzed interactively using reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. The findings reveal that the Periscope Grid effectively enhances students’ ability to observe, replicate, and draw proportional two-dimensional objects while promoting collaboration through digital gallery activities. Moreover, the media helps teachers explain perspective concepts more easily and fosters students’ active participation. It can be concluded that Periscope Grid serves as an effective, engaging, and integrative learning medium suitable for 21st-century visual art education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study seeks to develop learning materials utilizing quartet cards integrated with QR codes and to evaluate their practicality and efficacy in enhancing learning outcomes in Pancasila Education concerning Indonesian Cultural Diversity. The research and development (R&D) methodology employed the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) framework. The participants were fifth-grade pupils from Jatisari Elementary School. The data gathering encompassed interviews, questionnaires, assessments of learning achievements, and recordkeeping. Data analysis was performed descriptively and inferentially utilizing normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain computations. The findings indicated that the QR code-assisted quad card media was considered very viable based on validation by material and media specialists. The paired sample t-test results indicated a significant difference in learning outcomes pre- and post-media usage. The N-Gain computation revealed a moderate enhancement in learning results. Consequently, the QR code-enhanced quad card medium is efficacious in enhancing learning results in Pancasila Education.

Abstract

The learning models used by teachers in arts education at the elementary school level are still not very varied. This condition indicates the need for a deeper understanding of various art learning models. This study aims to examine the novelty and findings related to trends in art learning models in elementary schools from 2020 to 2025. The research method employed was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA model, which includes the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and verification. Article searches were conducted using the Publish or Perish application with the keywords “model,” “art,” and “elementary school” for the period 2020–2025. An initial search yielded 500 articles, which were then screened and narrowed down to 26 relevant articles for analysis. The results indicate that trends in art learning models in elementary schools during 2020–2025 were dominated by the Project-Based Learning model, classroom action research, visual arts materials, and studies conducted in Grades IV and V. However, limitations were identified in quantitative research, studies involving Grade VI, music and dance art materials, as well as integration with local culture, the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), and digital media. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there are opportunities to develop and investigate more diverse, innovative, integrated, and student-oriented art learning models in elementary schools.

Abstract

Fine arts learning in elementary schools often faces obstacles in fostering student creativity, especially in storytelling drawing (comic) materials. Conventional methods and the lack of interactive media cause students to have difficulty visualizing ideas and storylines, resulting in monotonous artwork. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing "Komik Zaman Now" Flipbook media in increasing the creativity of fourth-grade students. This study used a Mixed Method with a Sequential Explanatory design. The subjects were 27 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Songgom 01. Data collection was carried out through performance tests (comic products), observations, and response questionnaires. Quantitative analysis results showed a significant increase in student creativity with an average N-Gain score of 0.72, which is in the high category. Qualitatively, digital flipbook media proved capable of creating an interactive learning atmosphere relevant to the students' world ("Zaman Now"), thereby triggering their visual and narrative imagination. It is concluded that the integration of flipbook-based digital comics is effective as an innovative solution in art learning in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of character education in addressing digital technology disruption in formal education, particularly at SD Nasima. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to explore how digital technology is integrated into the learning process while maintaining the implementation of character education. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving school principals, teachers, and students. The findings reveal that digital technology has been effectively utilized to enhance student engagement, motivation, and learning experiences through various digital platforms and interactive media. At the same time, character education remains a central focus, implemented through classroom activities, school culture, and daily habituation. However, several challenges were identified, including excessive gadget use, reduced face-to-face social interaction, and disparities in students’ digital literacy levels. To address these challenges, the school has implemented strategies such as strengthening digital literacy, regulating technology use, integrating character values into digital learning, and fostering collaboration with parents. The study concludes that character education in the digital era can be effectively sustained through the balanced integration of technology, strong teacher competence, and active collaboration between schools and families.

Abstract

Music art is one of the subjects of art in Elementary School, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and equivalent. The limited allocation of time for art subjects which is only 2 hours of lessons per week makes the space narrower for students who want to explore and hone their talents. This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of extracurricular tambourine activities as one of the forums that accommodate students who want to increase their creativity in the field of religious music arts. The method in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and literature studies. The results of this study are that extracurricular tambourine activities in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah are a solution to the lack of time to explore the study of music arts subjects in classroom learning activities. Students who have an interest and tend to have musical intelligence are directed to participate in extracurricular tambourine activities. This activity has a positive value in developing the potential talents and interests of students in the field of music arts, especially Islamic music arts. In addition, this extracurricular activity supports music arts learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR) learning media developed using the Assemblr Edu application for teaching food chain concepts in Grade V elementary school IPAS learning. This research uses a development approach with the ADDIE model with qualitative and quantitative methods. Quantitative data were obtained through pretest and posttest scores, while qualitative Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires, interviews and observations. The effectiveness of the AR learning media was analyzed using a normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the pretest and posttest data were normally distributed. The paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference between students’ learning outcomes before and after using the AR learning media. N-Gain analysis showed moderate to high level improvements in student learning outcomes. In addition, classical mastery learning increased substantially after the implementation of the media. The results of this study show that AR-based learning media using Assemblr Edu is effective in improving elementary school students' understanding of the concept of the food chain. Therefore, the AR learning media developed can be used as an alternative innovative learning method in science learning. particularly for abstract topics that require concrete and interactive visualization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa kelas I SD dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita penjumlahan serta belum optimalnya penggunaan media interaktif yang mendukung penalaran matematis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan, menguji kelayakan, dan menguji keefektifan media flash card berbasis smart lock untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Borg and Gall. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 6 siswa kelas IB (uji coba skala kecil) dan 26 siswa kelas IA (uji coba skala besar) SD Negeri Wonosari 02 Kota Semarang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji kelayakan (persentase), uji normalitas (Liliefors), uji t berpasangan, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) media berhasil dikembangkan melalui 10 tahap Borg and Gall; (2) kelayakan media berdasarkan validasi ahli materi (93,75%) dan ahli media (96,67%) dengan kategori sangat layak, serta tanggapan guru (96,7%–98,3%) dan siswa (94,4%–96,8%) dalam kategori sangat layak; (3) keefektifan media ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan rata-rata nilai pretest ke posttest (skala kecil: 29,2 menjadi 77,5; skala besar: 47,5 menjadi 81,2), uji t berpasangan menunjukkan signifikansi thitung > ttabel yaitu 45,85 > 2,02 (skala keci) dan 35,69 > 1,71 (skala besar), serta nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,69 dan 0,67 (kategori sedang). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah media flash card berbasis smart lock dinyatakan layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas I SD pada materi soal cerita penjumlahan
