Abstract

Introdution:Exposure to airborne pollutants such as lead (Pb) can cause health problems. Fuel stations are one of the places with a high risk of Pb exposure sourced from fuel or motor vehicle exhaust emissions. This research aims to know the effect of Pb exposure on hemoglobin levels and lung function in fuel station workers. Methods: This study was observational, analytical, and cross-sectional on 40 fuel station workers in South Banjarmasin District. Urinary Pb measurement was carried out by spectrophotometry, then the relationship to peripheral blood hemoglobin (Hb) levels and lung function was analyzed based on FEV1 (%), FVC (%), and FEV1/FVC ratio with a simple linear regression test. The data met the classical assumptions of normality, heteroscedasticity, and with no autocorrelation. If abnormal distribution was found, data transformation was carried out. Results: Study obtained urinary Pb levels below the normal threshold of 0.0356±0.0074 ppm. Respectively, urinary Pb levels did not have a significant effect on Hb levels (mean±SD:14.39±1.41, adjusted R2:6.2%, p=0.067), FEV1 (94.15±6.93, 5.8%, p=0.074) and FVC (89.68±6.24, 0.5%, p=0.380). However, urinary Pb significantly correlated with decreasing the FEV1/FVC ratio (90.87±3.36, 10%, p=0.026) with the equation y=96.550159.454x even without any obstruction value. Conclusion: This study showed that urinary Pb levels were normal. An increase in urinary Pb levels has a significant effect on decreasing the FEV1/FVC ratio. Prevention to reduce the health impacts of Pb needs to be taken. More research on at-risk populations with longer years of service needs to be done

Abstract

The existence of mobile devices and technological developments have made mobile-based learning a major trend in education, from elementary to secondary schools in Indonesia. This research is a systematic literature review limited to 10 articles published between 2018 and 2023. The aim of this research is to answer questions about the use of mobile technology in learning contexts as well as the types of learning models used in science teaching to improve students' higher-order thinking abilities. The results of this research are in accordance with the research objectives, where the mobile technology most often used to achieve learning objectives is smartphones and tablets. The most effective learning models in improving high-level thinking skills in science learning are problem based learning, project based learning, Inquiry learning, Collaborative learning, Flipped Classroom, and Blended Learning. The hope is that this research can become a reference for subsequent research in developing creative learning methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media Flipbook Digital berbasis model Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Media Flipbook Digital berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan memperoleh kelayakan oleh ahli media dengan skor 92,17% dan ahli materi serta bahasa dengan skor 98,40%. Hasil angket respons guru sebesar 98% dan respons siswa sebesar 90,33% dengan kriteria “Sangat Valid”. Keefektifan media Flipbook Digital dilihat dari hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test dan uji N-Gain. Hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test pada skala kecil dan skala besar menunjukkan nilai 0,00. Sedangkan hasil uji N-Gain pada skala kecil menunjukkan nilai 0,80 dan pada skala besar menunjukkan nilai 0,76 yang keduanya termasuk dalam kategori “Tinggi”. Jadi, media Flipbook Digital berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Elementary school teachers in Cluster Dewi Kunthi Gunungpati Semarang still need to become skilled at creating learning videos. Due to misunderstanding, the teacher's educational background is not in educational technology, and the experience of creating learning videos is minimal. This service aims to provide enrichment, skills, evaluation, and creation of learning media. The material provided is Powtoon-based learning video creation skills. The learning media used are in the form of Powtoon-based learning videos and learning media modules. The use of learning media will make it easier for elementary school children to absorb the material. The method used is direct and guided learning. Community service activities were conducted for eight months, with eight training meetings and guidance. Direct learning is done by conditioning the teacher as a participant, following and conducting copyright training, and evaluating learning videos. Skills and evaluation materials are carried out in 6 meetings. Supervised is intended to carry out direct supervision, coaching, and training. The service results show that teachers master making Powtoon-based videos, as evidenced by the collection of learning videos. The service succeeded in increasing teacher skills in creating Powtoon-based learning videos.

Abstract

Problem-Solving Skills as an Essential Competency for Elementary School Students is a critical area that can be enhanced through Project-based Scratch Programming technology. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Scratch Programming, applied through projects, on the problem-solving skills of students at SD Negeri Jatisari in Semarang City. The research employed a Quasi-Experimental design using a Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group approach. Participants in the control and experimental groups were not randomly selected, with each group consisting of 27 students. Data analysis techniques included the Independent Sample T-Test and N-Gain Test. Results from the Independent Sample T-Test indicated a significance value of 0.009 (Sig.<0.05), while the N-Gain score for the Experimental Group was 0.40, categorized as Medium. These results demonstrate that the Experimental Group saw a notable improvement in problem-solving skills, particularly in their ability to re-evaluate the outcomes of their problem-solving efforts.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on Adobe Animate with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve student learning outcomes on fraction material in class IV SDN Kedungpane 02. The background of this research is based on students' low understanding of the concept of fractions, which is caused by the lack of use of innovative learning media and less interesting learning methods. Therefore, Interactive Math media was developed that integrates animation and interactivity in the learning process to increase student engagement and understanding. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis to identify learning needs, Design to design appropriate media Development to build products, Implementation to test on students, and Evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the media that has been developed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and learning outcomes tests. The validity test was carried out by media experts and material experts, while the media effectiveness test was carried out through experiments with a pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that the Interactive Math media based on Adobe Animate is very valid and feasible to use in learning based on expert validation with a score of 91.07% from material experts and 91.66% from media experts. In addition, there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after using this media, as evidenced by the difference in the average scores of the pretest and posttest in the small and large groups. Thus, Adobe Animate-based interactive learning media with PBL model can be an innovative solution in improving students' understanding and learning outcomes on fraction materials. This study recommends the use of similar media on other materials to improve the effectiveness of learning in elementary schools.       Keywords: adobe animate, interactive learning media,fraction, problem based learning (PBL), learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran Video Animasi berbasis Virtual Reality dengan tujuan menilik proses pengembangan, kelayakan dan keefektifan media dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial kelas V SD Negeri 1 Pucungkerep. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D), dengan model ADDIE untuk tahapan penelitiannya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik tes berupa hasil pretest dan posttest. Adapun teknik non-tes meliputi wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi yang digunakan sebagai pendukung dalam analisis data kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek sebanyak 8 siswa kelas V uji kelompok kecil dan 20 siswa kelas V uji kelompok besar. Pengujian media pembelajaran Video Animasi berbasis Virtual Reality menunjukkan hasil yang layak oleh validator media (88.75%) dan ahli materi (90,9%). Media pembelajaran ini membuktikan keefektifannya dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar pada kelompok kecil melalui pretest dan posttest, yaitu meningkat dari 64.2 menjadi 84,5 dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 56% dengan kategori sedang. Pada kelompok besar, hasilnya meningkat pada pretest dan posttest yaitu dari 63,9 menjadi 79,1, dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 40% yang berkategori sedang. Oleh karena itu, media pembelajaran Video Animasi berbasis Virtual Reality terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Pucungkerep pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial.

Abstract

This paper focuses on describing the interpretation of al-Qur’an with al-Sunnah. The use of sunnah or hadith for the interpretation of the Qur'an can be seen from several aspects, from the aspect of the assessment of the contents of the texts, it is distinguished into, first, using the sunnah or hadith which its contents directly affects the Qur'an, or second, using the sunnah or hadiths that are useful for supporting interpretation although the content of the texts has no direct relation to lafaz or verse being interpreted. In addition, the sunnah or hadith also can be seen from its function in explaining lafaz or verse, explaining topics such as fiqh, tasawuf, history etc., explaining etymology, snatching, asbāb al-nuzul support, and other uses that may be found along with the development of science. While in the study of Islamic jurisprudence, the position of sunna against the Qur'an has an important function as bayān al-taqrīr, bayān al-tafsīr which includes tafṣil al-mujmāl, takhṣiṣ al-'ām, taqyid al-muṭlaq, also bāyan al-tashrī ', bāyan al-nasakh and defines the mubham.

Abstract

Controversy over several human rights issues between Islamic and Western human rights activists is still happening. Some of the controversial issues that are often be debated are Qiṣāṣ, Ḥudūd, and women's rights. The question in this research is how human rights activists from both Muslim and Western view the practice of implementing Qiṣāṣ, Ḥudūd, and women's rights in the Muslim world. This paper focuses on describing the controversy between Muslim and Western human rights activists in upholding human rights especially related to the Qisas, Hudud, and women's rights issues. This is library research with a qualitative descriptive method. Data were analyzed using the inductive method. The results of the research showed that according to Western human rights activists, the enforcement of Islamic law in these three issues is contrary to the human rights values which are universally recognized. Meanwhile, in addressing these issues Muslim human rights activists are divided into two groups. The first is the textual group. This group views the necessity to apply Islamic law exactly as stated in the al-Qur'an and Hadith texts. Second, a group that is more moderate and even liberal. This group sees the need to reinterpret the text of the Koran and Hadith to make it more in line with the development of civilization. However, the two groups of Islamic human rights activists agree that Islamic law respects protects, and upholds human rights.

Abstract

Di negara mayoritas Islam atau Muslim, posisi institusi dan produk fatwa memiliki banyak perbedaan. Perbedaan ini dipengaruhi oleh masing-masing sistem hukum, pemerintahan dan administrasi negara. Ada negara-negara yang menempatkan fatwa atau lembaga fatwa dalam sistem hukum dan struktur pemerintahan, sementara yang lain berada di luar sistem hukum dan struktur pemerintahan. Alhasil, posisi institusi dan kekuatan produk fatwa berbeda untuk masing-masing negara. Lembaga dan produk fatwa yang berada di dalam struktur hukum atau pemerintahan memiliki posisi yang lebih legal dan mengikat daripada yang berada di luar sistem hukum dan pemerintahan. Di Brunei, Lembaga fatwa termasuk dalam sistem pemerintahan, sehingga Mufti di Brunei nampaknya kurang independen, karena ada campur tangan Sultan dalam mengambil keputusan, namun hasil produk fatwa di Brunei sangat mengikat. Di Malaysia, Mufti adalah badan yang berkuasa setelah Sultan dalam urusan agama. Mufti Malaysia memiliki pendapat yang lebih independen, walaupun keputusannya dianggap sah jika mendapat persetujuan Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan atau Yang di-Pertuan Agong pada saat pewartaan fatwa, produk fatwa juga mengikat. Sementara di Mesir, Institusi untuk fatwa dipisahkan dari sistem hukum atau pemerintahan, namun merupakan salah satu pilar utama institusi Islam bersama Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Universitas Al-Azhar dan Kementerian Wakaf. Posisi fatwa di Mesir serupa dengan kondisi di Indonesia bahwa produk fatwa mengikat saat menjadi hukum positif.
