Abstract

Dependence on optimal environmental conditions is a major challenge in aeroponic cultivation, as plant roots require regular watering to maintain moisture and nutrient absorption. This research aims to design an IoT-based aeroponic watering monitoring and control system using Sugeno fuzzy method, which can adaptively determine the duration of watering based on temperature, humidity, and light intensity sensors, and enable environmental monitoring via smartphone. This research is conducted using an experimental approach, implementing the Sugeno fuzzy inference method to generate a constant (linear) watering duration calculated based on a fuzzy rule base. The system development stages include hardware and software design, implementation of Sugeno fuzzy logic for the watering mechanism, integration of the device with an IoT platform, and testing the effectiveness of the system in maintaining optimal environmental parameters. The results showed that the developed monitoring and control system was able to produce watering duration output with an average difference to MATLAB simulation results of 0.048 milliseconds and an average error rate of 0.9%. The system is also effective in maintaining optimal humidity in the aeroponic environment, with an average humidity of 96.00% and an average temperature drop of 0.28°C every time the watering process takes place.

Abstract

Environmental sanitation is an activity to create healthy environmental conditions in the port area. Good sanitation conditions can prevent disease transmission. Sanitary conditions in the Port of Tanjung Harapan Selat Panjang are not good enough, characterized by rat catching which increases every year, poor drainage conditions, and inadequate sanitation facilities. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the management of sanitation at Tanjung Harapan Harbor in Selat Panjang to become input material to make it better in the future. This research uses a qualitative method with a system approach based on input, process and output where the data collected comes from interviews, observation and documentation and is analyzed using triangulation. Sanitary management of the Port of Tanjung Harapan Selat Panjang is managed by port management and supervised by the Port Health Office. Sanitary management at the Port of Tanjung Harapan Selat Panjang is already running but not optimal, there are still obstacles from the aspects of human resources, large financing and inadequate infrastructure such as the unavailability of TPS and WWTP for waste management. Port sanitation management must be maintained to prevent the development of disease vectors and transmission of various types of diseases. The need for good cooperation between the manager and the Port Health Office to create a healthy port.

Abstract

One of the non-conventional therapies usually given to postpartum mothers to accelerate the reduction in uterine involution is postpartum exercise. Movements in postpartum exercises can train and tighten the abdominal muscles so that they can indirectly stimulate the uterine muscles to function optimally and prevent post-partum bleeding. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of postpartum exercise on uterine involution in postpartum women at the Muara Telang Community Health Center, Banyuasin Regency. The research method used was a control group design approach. The population was all postpartum mothers totaling 40 people and a sample of 20 people, of which 10 cases and 10 controls used purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used was the Chi Square test. Research results: There was a difference in uterine involution before and after postpartum exercise, the pretest average value was 10.90 and the posttest average value was 3.50, whereas in the control cases on the first day and on the seventh day the average value was 11. 20 and an average value of 5.70, so there is a difference before and after giving postpartum exercises on uterine involution in postpartum mothers at the Muara Telang Community Health Center, Banyuasin Regency. It is hoped that postpartum mothers will increase their knowledge about the benefits of postpartum exercise.

Abstract

Emesis gravidarum atau mual muntah terjadi pada awal kehamilan yang disebabkan oleh perubahan hormone estrogen, progesterone serta HCG. Emesis gravidarum terjadi 50%-80% dari seluruh kehamilan di Indonesia. Hal ini dapat diatasi dengan terapi non farmakologi seperti pemberian akupresur pada titik P6. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh akupresur titik P6 untuk mengurangi emesis gravidarum pada ibu hamil TM I di PMB Griya Bunda Ceria Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi – Eksperimen dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Teknik pengambilan sempel menggunakan total sampling sebanyak 17 responden yang mengalami emesis gravidarum. Frekuensi emesis gravidarum diukur mengguanakan lemabar checklist PUQE. Analisa data menggunakan uji non parametrik wilcoxon. Berdasarkan hasil uji wilcoxon diperoleh nilai p (0.000) < nilai α (0.05) dan beda mean 5,94 pada pretest dan posttest. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh pemberian akupresur pada titik P6 terhadap ibu hamil TM I yang mengalami emesis gravidarum di PMB Griya Bunda Ceria Palembang.

Abstract

 Pendahuluan: Semua orang akan mengalami proses menua dan masa tua merupakan masa hidup manusia yang terakhir. Salah satu gangguan yang dapat muncul pada usia lanjut adalah gangguan mental dan yang paling sering muncul adalah kecemasan. Kesepian merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kecemasan pada lansia.Tujuan: Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan terhadap upaya pencegahan pada lansia terhadap kesendirian.Metode: Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal30 Oktober 2023 meliputi wawancara, sesi tanya-jawab serta presentasi yang diampaikan pemateri menggunakan leaflet dan komputer kepada 21 orang Lansia.Hasil: Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah lansia sangat memahami dan antusias terhadap materi yang disampaikan.Simpulan: Masyarakat khususnya lansia diharapkan dapat segera mengatasi masalah kecemasan yang terjadi pada dirinya sendiri.Kata Kunci: Lansia, Kecemasan, Kesendirian, Penyuluhan Kesehatan

Abstract

This study aims to describe the attitudes of elementary students towards online visiting lectures and teacher problems while teaching in the Covid-19 school closure period. The visiting lecture was conducted to relieve the boredom of online learning. The novelty of online visiting lecture conducted at elementary school level in Covid-19 school closure period. This study sample comprised 48 third grade students at a private elementary school in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This study used a qualitative approach. The data were collected through observation and interviews with elementary school students. The results showed that the students' attitudes towards online visiting lecture in Covid-19 school closure period were very good. The students engaged in learning actively. When the visiting lecturer asked questions, the students answered the questions confidently. In conclusion, the visiting lecture can be held in Covid-19 school closure period when students need a new online learning atmosphere. In Indonesia, Covid-19 pandemic has lasted more than 1 year, and it causes boredom of online learning. Holding visiting lecture is an effective way to increase students’ learning interest and motivation so that the online teaching and learning process runs more efficiently.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity aims to provide knowledge about mobile applications for queuing systems that are expected to make it easier for patients who will check their health or seek treatment at the Health Center. The methods used in this activity include interview methods with the Health Center to find out the source of the problem that is the basis for this community service activity. Furthermore, a socialization method is carried out, where in this socialization activity an explanation will be given to both the Health Center and patients about the use of the application that will be designed. The results of this activity are socialization regarding the Mobile application for the patient queuing system along with socialization of the procedures for using the application. Where after the implementation of this activity is carried out, the application that will be designed will make it easier for patients and patients no longer need to sit and queue for a long time when going to the Sako Health Center for treatment.

Abstract

Hearing impairment was considered a significant barrier to understanding verbal communication. Therefore, an alternative communication medium in the form of sign language was required to bridge interactions between Deaf and hearing individuals. One of the sign languages used in Indonesia was the Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO). The advancement of deep learning technology provided a great opportunity to develop an effective and accurate BISINDO alphabet classification system. This research was conducted to evaluate and compare the performance of two Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures, namely ResNet50 and MobileNetV2, in classifying BISINDO alphabet images consisting of 26 classes from A to Z. Model training wa carried out over 100 epochs and was analyzed using metrics such as training and validation accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix. The training process used a dataset that was divided into 80% training data and 20% validation data, and include image preprocessing steps such as resizing and rescaling. The evaluation results showed that ResNet50 achieved 86.42% training accuracy and 98.64% validation accuracy with 98.80% precision, 98.69% recall, 98.57% F1-score, and 31 misclassifications. In contrast, MobileNetV2 showed superior performance with 99.99% training accuracy, 99.65% validation accuracy, 99.69% precision, 99.65% recall, 99.61% F1-score, and only 8 misclassifications. Based on these results, MobileNetV2 was recommended as a more effective and efficient architecture for BISINDO alphabet image classification compared to ResNet50.

Abstract

This study aims to implement and evaluate an Open Source-based 5G Standalone (SA) network using Open5GS as the Core Network, srsRAN as the Radio Access Network (RAN), and USRP B210 as a Software Defined Radio (SDR) device. A commercial smartphone was used as the User Equipment (UE) to test end-to-end network connectivity and performance. The research method includes software installation, network parameter configuration, system integration, as well as connectivity and performance testing based on ITU-R IMT-2020 standards. The test results show that all network elements were successfully integrated, as indicated by the successful registration and authentication of the UE and the establishment of a data session. Performance testing recorded a downlink throughput of 55 Mbps, uplink throughput of 15 Mbps, latency of 33 ms, jitter of 8.9 ms, and 0% packet loss. Although some performance parameters did not meet the minimum ITU-R IMT-2020 standards, the system proved operable as an independent Open Source and SDR-based solution for experimental purposes in a laboratory environment. Future work should focus on optimizing the backhaul connection, conducting multi-UE testing, and simulating mobility and handover scenarios to assess system performance in large-scale and real-world deployments.

Abstract

This research aims to design an IoT-based prototype for temperature and humidity control to enhance the productivity of tempe fermentation. The prototype utilizes the WeMos D1 R2 microcontroller, processing data from the temperature sensor (DHT11) and RTC DS3231 to control a DC fan and heater. The Blynk application enables remote monitoring and management of temperature and humidity. Research results indicate stable temperature (30°C–37°C) and humidity (60–70 RH). The prototype demonstrates effectiveness in controlling tempe fermentation conditions and is suitable for implementation. .
