Abstract

A fire broke out at the Darussalam Muhammadiyah Ogan Ilir Islamic Boarding School, destroying six surrounding schools. The mass circumcision event was coordinated with the Grand Religious Colloquium and the opening of an educational institution for impoverished students. Thirty-seven children who participated in community service took part in the blessing of mass circumcision. A significant number of officials and community guests of honor attended the event, which included the Deputy Regent of Ogan Ilir, a representative from the Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah Central Leadership, the Chairman of the South Sumatra Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership, the Chancellor of the Muhammadiyah University of Palembang, the PDM Chairman of Ogan Ilir, and representatives from TNI, Polri, the Payaraman sub-district head, and village heads. The session concluded with the attendees' tremendous enthusiasm for the event, for which they had earlier registered. Parallel circumcision initiatives could be undertaken alongside other activities. The Deputy Regent and Muhammadiyah Regional Leader of Ogan Ilir hopes that mass circumcision s will continue and be extended to other districts during the future KKN session. It is crucial to gather details concerning circumcision participants, assess the sufficiency of the number of operators, and establish the best time for the activity.

Abstract

Rubber seeds are an alternative raw material for biodiesel with great potential in Indonesia. Thisis because Indonesia is one of the largest rubber producers in Asia. Rubber seed oil has not beenwidely used. Therefore, this rubber seed oil needs to be processed, among others by reactingrubber seed oil with alcohol or by using an alcoholysis process, using Pertamina unit III petroleumcracking waste catalyst, which is also a waste, so that it can be utilized. The purpose of this serviceis in addition to applying the results of myCompetitive Grant research (Kiagus Ahmad Roni) whichwas funded by DIKTI in 2013-2014, also to provide knowledge and examples to the people ofSukajadi village, Prabumulih Timur sub-district, Prabumulih city, Muara Enim district, thisservice is proposed to be funded. by DIKTI for 2020, in 2015 this service was funded by DIKTI tobe implemented in Sumber Harum Village, Tunggal Jaya District and Margarahayu Village,Muara Telang District, Musi Banyu Asin Regency (MUBA) in processing rubber seeds to makethem more useful. Abstract

Abad 21 yang dikenal semua orang sebagai abad pengetahuan yang merupakan landasan utama untuk berbagai aspek kehidupan. Paradigma pembelajaran abad 21 menekankan kepada kemampuan peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis, mampu menghubungkan ilmu dengan dunia nyata, menguasai teknologi informasi, berkomunikasi dan berkolaborasi. Salah satu ketrampilan yang harus dimiliki dalam memasuki abad 21 adalah penguasaan teknologi informasi atau ICT Literacy (Literasi TIK). Salah satu teknologi informasi yang saat ini dapat digunakan yaitu Canva & Quizizz. Namun saat ini Namun, di sisi lain ternyata masih banyak guru yang belum mengetahui penggunaan aplikasi Canva & Quizizz untuk membantu pembuatan media pembelajaran, diantaranya yakni guru di SMAN 3 Banyuasin 1. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu pelatihan untuk menggunakan aplikasi Canva & Quizizz bagi guru yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keberagaman media pembelajaran digital di SMAN 3 Banyuasin 1. Diharapkan dengan adanya pelatihan ini dapat memberikan wawasan baru kepada guru yang belum pernah menggunakan aplikasi Canva & Quizizz sebelumnya, hingga dapat menerapkannya dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Dengan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, dampaknya terhadap pembelajaran diantaranya guru dapat mengetahui cara pembuatan media pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif, pembelajaran menjadi lebih berkreasi dan tidak monoton, terdapat perubahan dari pembelajaran yang hanya biasa saja menjadi lebih baik dan menyenangkan

Abstract

Sampah organik dari sampah rumah tangga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk kompos. Akan tetapi, masyarakat cenderung enggan untuk membuat kompos karena harus mengeluarkan biaya untuk membeli cairan EM4. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan kepada warga Desa Ulak Kembahang mengenai pembuatan EM4 alami dari beras busuk yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mempercepat proses pengomposan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah, demonstrasi pembuatan EM4, dan diskusi tanya jawab. Subjek pengabdian ini adalah warga Desa Ulak Kembahang yang terdiri dari petani, ibu rumah tangga, dan pemuda setempat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta pengabdian sangat antusias dengan kegiatan penyuluhan. Peserta menyimak dengan seksama demonstrasi pembuatan EM4 dari beras busuk dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan sederhana seperti beras busuk, gula merah, gula pasir, kulit telur, dan air bersih. Dari kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembuatan EM4 dari beras busuk merupakan solusi inovatif dan ekonomis dalam pengelolaan sampah organik yang dapat diterapkan secara luas di masyarakat. Rekomendasi untuk kegiatan selanjutnya adalah mengembangkan pelatihan aplikasi EM4 pada skala pengomposan yang lebih besar dan menerapkannya dalam pertanian organik untuk mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of efforts to increase rice production at swamp area which is frequently flooded is the use of submergence tolerant rice varieties. The objectives of this research was to improve plant tolerance after submergence stress for 14 days in BC1F1 of crosses between local superior varieties and Sub1 gen donor (FR13A). The studies were carried out in two stages: 1) Crossing local superior varieties, i.e., Pegagan (Pgn), Siam (Sm), Payak Selimbuk (Pys), dan Pelita Rampak (Plr) to submergence tolerant variety FR13A; and 2) submergence tolerance evaluation of the progeny. The first study was conducted at green house of Graduate Study Sriwijaya University, Palembang. The second study was carried out at field experiment of Central Research and Development of Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Resources in Bogor. All studies were conducted from March 2011 until March 2013. The first study was the introgression of Sub1 gene into local genotypes Payak Selimbuk, Pegagan, Siam and Pelita Rampak from FR13A. The second study was evaluation of BC1F1 plant performance after submergence treatment for 14 days. The results showed that introgression of Sub1 gene into local varieties improved submergence tolerance as indicated by higher percentage of survived plants, lower decrease of plant dry weight, and lower decrease of grain weight per panicle compared to parents.Keywords: Sub1 gene, local swamp rice, submergence tolerant

Abstract

Compost production in Indonesia is often hampered by conventional methods that rely on manual mixing, resulting in lengthy processing times, high labor requirements, and inconsistent compost quality. This study aimed to develop a mechanical compost mixer system featuring an innovative flow gate in a dual-brick-bin setup. The innovation is designed to improve mixing efficiency, mixture homogeneity, and energy consumption. The research was conducted in Tanjung Tebal Village, Lahat Regency, from March to June 2024, using materials such as household organic waste, animal manure, coffee husks, dry leaves, fresh leaves, and the EM4 bioactivator. The methodology investigated using a comparison of a 9HP gasoline engine and equipped with the innovative flow gate to manual methods. Parameters compared include mixing time, energy consumption, homogeneity distribution, and residual material. The results show the mechanical system reduced mixing time by up to 30% from an average of 45 minutes using manual methods to 30 minutes, mixture homogeneity increased to 95% compared to 70% with manual methods, while residual material decreased from 15% to 6%. The flow gate innovation in the dual-brick-bin system proved effective in enhancing the efficiency of the compost mixing process. Implementation of this technology has the potential to support organic waste management in rural areas, reduce environmental pollution, and promote sustainable agriculture. Further research is recommended to evaluate the system’s efficiency on a larger scale.

Abstract

Desa Sri Kembang di Kabupaten Ogan Ilir merupakan sentra produksi nanas unggulan di Sumatera Selatan. Namun, sebagian besar hasil panen masih dijual dalam bentuk segar dengan nilai ekonomi rendah. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan dodol nanas sebagai bentuk diversifikasi produk yang bertujuan meningkatkan nilai tambah dan memberdayakan perempuan melalui organisasi ‘Aisyiyah. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan aplikatif, terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan mencakup materi teoritis serta demonstrasi langsung pembuatan dodol nanas. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan respon sangat positif dari peserta, dengan tingkat pemahaman materi sebesar 90%, kepuasan terhadap metode dan fasilitator di atas 90%, serta munculnya motivasi kuat untuk mengembangkan usaha berbasis olahan nanas. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan teknis dan kesadaran kewirausahaan peserta. Temuan ini mendukung pentingnya pelatihan berbasis potensi lokal sebagai strategi pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Disarankan adanya pendampingan lanjutan dalam produksi dan pemasaran untuk menjaga keberlanjutan dampak program.

Abstract

Usaha mikro kerupuk Ibu Dahlia membutuhkan dukungan untuk mendapatkan produk kerupuk yang berkualitas baik, sehat dan laku dipasarkan. Beberapa masalah produksi dan manajemen menjadi kendala untuk mencapai tujuan diantaranya adalah pengeringan dimusim hujan, kurangnya pemahaman akan proses produksi pangan yang baik, pengemasan, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, pembukuan dan legalitas izin usaha. Untuk mengatasi persoalan-persoalan tersebut dilakukan pendampingan dan pelatihan secara bertahap yang meliputi bidang aspek manajemen pemasaran, administrasi keuangan, manajemen mutu dan keuangan. Dari kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan ini, mampu melaksanakan fungsional manajemen yang lebih terstruktur dan baik meliputi pengelolaan keuangan, tata kelola sumber daya manusia, manajemen produksi, serta manajemen pemasaran yang lebih optimal bagi usaha mereka. Diharapkan dengan adanya perbaikan di sisi manajemen tata kelola dan pemasaran akan berdampak pada peningkatan produksi dan penjualan yang berujung kepada peningkatan kesejahteraan pelaku usaha rengginang.

Abstract

The village of Talang Balai Baru 1, located in the sub-district of Tanjung Raja in the Ogan Ilir Regency, is characterized by a type of land known as lowland, locally called “lebak” land, which is characterized by low soil fertility. This factor, among others, contributes to a decrease in crop productivity. To address this challenge, it is imperative to employ organic fertilizer in optimal amounts. Specifically, the harvested straw is primarily incinerated, with a limited portion being utilized as chicken manure fertilizer. Despite the abundance of local resources like chicken manure and straw, they are underutilized. Therefore, there is a need to harness these resources for the production of organic fertilizers enriched with phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (PSB). This enriched organic fertilizer is expected to provide essential nutrients to plants and improve soil fertility, thereby boosting soil and crop productivity. The project, conducted from July 29, 2024, to August 27, 2024. The method employed in this study is counseling and socialization regarding the production of BPF-enriched organic fertilizer and its subsequent application by partner farmers. The results of this counseling and socialization demonstrate the high level of support among the residents of Talang Balai Baru 1 Village for this program, as evidenced by their ability to utilize BPF-enriched organic fertilizer on their respective fields. This will contribute to an enhancement in soil and plant productivity.

Abstract

Rice washing water (commonly called air leri) is a household waste that is often discarded, even though it can be used as a liquid organic fertilizer. This water contains a significant amount of essential nutrients such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), vitamins, and minerals that support the growth of vegetable crops. When consumed by humans, it may also improve overall health. The objective of this community service activity is to enhance public knowledge about the benefits of rice washing water for plant growth and human health, to encourage behavioral changes in environmentally friendly waste management, and to improve community skills in making and using rice washing water as a liquid organic fertilizer for home gardening. The method of implementation includes three main activities: (1) education and outreach on the benefits of rice washing water for plant growth, soil fertility, health, and environmental sustainability; (2) hands-on training to teach the community how to collect, store, and apply the water efficiently to vegetable crops; and (3) mentoring, by assisting residents in applying rice washing water to home garden plots. The results show that 75% of participants experienced increased understanding and skills in managing household waste into eco-friendly agricultural inputs. There was also increased interest in home gardening. This activity contributes to food security, family health, and the reduction of household waste.
