Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical communication skills in terms of interest in learning for fourth grade students with GeoGebra-assisted ethnomathematical learning. This research is a mixed methods research with a sequential explanatory design. The results showed that learning with Problem Based Learning containing ethnomathematics based on local culture assisted by GeoGebra on students' mathematical communication skills in terms of high learning interest showed good results from all indicators. Students' mathematical communication skills in terms of interest in learning are showing good results as well. Furthermore, students' mathematical communication skills in terms of low learning interest showed good results, this is because students have not been able to solve the problems that are in each indicator of mathematical communication skills. So that it can be concluded, PBL learning containing ethnomathematics assisted by GeoGebra fourth grade students of SDI Tamalanrea I Makassar is proven to be effective on the mathematical abilities of fourth grade students of SDI Tamalanrea I Makassar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking skills and to analyze indicators of critical thinking skills according to this literature review. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review or (SLR). This study traced 15 nationally accredited articles on Sinta 2 to Sinta 5 obtained from Google Scholar. The results showed that 1) The Discovery Learning model had a positive and significant impact on students' critical thinking skills in each educational unit, Elementary School , Junior High School, and Senior High School. 2) The application of the Discovery Learning model is able to improve students' critical thinking skills. 3) The indicators recommended to be used as a reference for students' critical thinking skills are (1) Identification, (2) Define, (3) Enumerate, (4) Analysis, (5) List, and (6) Self-correct.

Abstract

Various things from previous research studies have been attempted to build mathematical connections and their uses from various types of indicators of mathematical connections and a sense of self-confidence. So the purpose of this study is to classify the types of mathematical connections and students' self-confidence. The method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. This study is intended to gain the strength of scientific studies in building a framework of mathematical connection abilities through the types of indicators of mathematical connections that suit the needs and identify self-confidence. The results of the study of several articles on the types of mathematical connections, to build mathematical connection skills, in this study recommend four types of mathematical connections of students, namely: (1) connecting between concepts in one mathematical material, (2) connecting between concepts in the field of mathematics, (3) connecting mathematical concepts with other fields, and (4) connecting mathematical concepts to solve problems in everyday life. Based on the results and discussions that have been described, it can be concluded that self-confidence has a significant effect on students' mathematical connection abilities, so that students' self-confidence has a positive effect on students' mathematical connection abilities.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is an important factor in the learning process. Mathematical literacy is able to help students succeed in their lives, because mathematics is not just a science but the mastery of mathematical skills by understanding the mathematics around it. PISA results of Indonesian students occupy mathematical literacy at levels 1 and 2 of 6 levels, which shows students are only able to solve routine problems. One of the steps so that students can develop mathematical literacy skills is project-based learning (PjBL), students are more active in learning by exploring, interpreting, synthesizing, and providing information in completing a project. The type of research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Several studies of articles on mathematical literacy, weak mathematical literacy in the content of change and relationship, quantity and uncertainty and data show that students are less able to understand teaching materials related to arithmetic functions, algebra, number concepts, statistics and probability. The development of students' mathematical literacy skills with the tendency of intelligence possessed by students can also affect the learning styles used by students.Besides this, Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning is suitable learning in improving mathematical literacy skills. fish. Students not only learn in theory but students also learn practically in real life.

Abstract

Mathematical communication is needed by people to communicate ideas or solving mathematical problems, either orally, in writing, or visually, both in learning mathematics and outside learning mathematics. Mathematical communication skills can be viewed from several aspects, one of which is self-efficacy which affects student success. In addition to mathematical communication, self-efficacy or self-confidence in one's ability to communicate ideas simultaneously has an influence on learning achievement. The teacher also uses a learning model, namely the Trefinger learning model. This model uses divergent thinking along with the ability to apply the concepts that have been learned. In addition, the teacher also uses a performance assessment, with a performance assessment an assessment will be carried out on student activities as it happened.

Abstract

The art of creative thinking needs to develop and taught to students because by thinking creativity, students are able to solve the problem they have, the students become more independent, creating reliable and talented human resources, and skillful in the future. The purpose of this research is to find out the creative thinking ability in the mathematic aspect of Elementary School Mardi Rahayu 02 Ungaran students. The data collection was done by giving four questions of students' creative thinking ability on KPK and FPB materials along with with interview the students. The research was done to 31 students of class IVC. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. Creative thinking ability is important in Era 4.0 where the development of knowledge becomes really fast. The average achievement of every creative thinking indicator is fluency 45,8% and flexibility 58,3%, whereas originality and elaboration indicator reaches 33,3%. The conclusion from this research is that the creative thinking ability of Elementary School Mardi Rahayu 02 Ungaran students need to improve

Abstract

Penting untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis pada siswa. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dapat terjadi pada pembelajaran, salah satunya pada pembelajaran dengan model Creative Problem Solving (CPS).  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran CPS dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review, dengan 15 artikel yang di-review. Berdasarkan kajian literatur diperoleh hasil, yaitu: 1) model pembelajaran CPS terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan penalaran adaptif; 2) model pembelajaran CPS menggunakan empat tahapan, yaitu: klasifikasi masalah, mengemukakan pendapat, evaluasi dan pemilihan, serta implementasi. Selama proses pembelajaran dengan model CPS perlu diciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan kemampuan yang penting bagi siswa. Faktanya, kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih rendah. Siswa hanya menuliskan hasil akhir tanpa menuliskan prosedur penyelesaiannya. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh kajian ilmiah sebagai pedoman dalam merancang modul matematika innovative berbasis STEAM untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan mengkaji artikel penelitian yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan dan penerapan modul berbasis STEAM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul matematika berbasis STEAM dapat dikembangkan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Modul matematika berbasis STEAM yang akan dirancang memiliki keunikan yaitu memuat proyek dan masalah pada materi statistika yang berkaitan dengan STEAM serta dilengkapi dengan indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang akan digunakan dalam perancangan modul matematika berbasis STEAM adalah (1) mengekspresikan ide-ide matematis secara tertulis; (2) mengekspresikan ide-ide matematis dalam bentuk tabel, grafik, atau gambar; (3) menggunakan notasi dan simbol matematika untuk menyelesaikan masalah; dan (4) membuat kesimpulan menggunakan bahasa sendiri.

Abstract

Abstract It is important to develop mathematical critical thinking skills in students because they have an important role in understanding a problem. Mathematical critical thinking skills can be improved by learning Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) because learning prioritizes the process of mathematical modeling with students' environmental conditions as the basis of learning. This study aims to develop indicators of mathematical critical thinking skills and Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning steps that can foster students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The research method used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. This method identifies, reviews, evaluates, and interprets existing research. Based on the literature review, developed several indicators of students' mathematical critical thinking skills, namely interpreting, analyzing, evaluating, drawing conclusions. In addition, developing several steps of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning, namely preparation, opening, learning process, and closing. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) yang dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Dengan metode ini mengidentifikasi, mengkaji, mengevaluasi, dan menginterpretasikan penelitian yang ada. Berdasarkan kajian literatur, mengembangkan beberapa indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa, yaitu menginterpretasikan, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, menarik kesimpulan. Selain itu, mengembangkan beberapa langkah-langkah pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) yaitu persiapan, pembukaan, proses pembelajaran, dan penutup. Abstract

Proses belajar dengan media yang penuh gambar, warna, dan cerita yang tidak membosankan dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berupa komik matematika (KOMIKA). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai kebutuhan media yang benar-benar dibutuhkan oleh siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode survei. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar angket yang disebarkan pada siswa SMPN 12 Muaro Jambi kelas VII A – VII E. Hasil yang diperoleh dari hasil survei mengenai angket kebutuhan ialah 70,3% siswa kurang memahami materi hanya dengan buku paket matematika, 76,6% siswa menyatakan sangat membutuhkan media buku tambahan untuk pemahaman materi, 60,9% menyatakan sangat membutuhkan media buku matematika dengan nuansa yang berbeda seperti tampilan adanya banyak gambar, warna, dan sedikit tulisan, 76,6% siswa menginnginkan jenis media buku matematika yang menyajikan rumus disertai dengan adanya gambar, warna, dan percakapan. Selain itu hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat menyukai buku komik dengan persentase 60,9%, dengan 75% tema mengekplor keindahan kota. Pengembangan media komik matematika ini sangat memperhatikan kebutuhan yang di inginkan oleh siswa dengan menyajikan adanya cerita yang bertema mengekplor kota Jambi, gambar dan warna yang sesuai dengan ikon Jambi, dan dilengkapi dengan rumus dan penjelasan materi yang menarik.
