Abstract

Tekanan darah tinggi atau hipertensi merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan utama yang perlu dideteksi sejak dini untuk mencegah komplikasi serius. Kemampuan tenaga kesehatan dalam melakukan pengukuran tekanan darah yang akurat sangat penting dalam menunjang upaya promotif dan preventif di fasilitas layanan primer. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tenaga kesehatan di Puskesmas Kapoiala dalam menggunakan alat ukur tekanan darah, baik jenis tensimeter aneroid maupun digital, sesuai standar pengukuran yang berlaku. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif, yang terdiri atas penyampaian materi teori dan praktik langsung. Sebanyak 20 peserta mengikuti pelatihan selama satu hari penuh, yang mencakup demonstrasi teknik pengukuran serta simulasi dengan pendampingan langsung oleh fasilitator. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam penggunaan alat ukur tekanan darah, termasuk pemahaman terhadap posisi pengukuran yang benar, pemilihan ukuran manset, dan teknik pembacaan hasil. Peserta menunjukkan partisipasi aktif dan menyatakan bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat praktis dalam tugas sehari-hari. Kesimpulan pengabdian ini bahwa pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan teknis tenaga kesehatan dalam pengukuran tekanan darah.

Abstract

The function of English in introducing micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) in Soppeng Regency through business communication techniques. thesis. English Department D4 at Makassar State University's Faculty of Language and Literature. In order to promote the welfare of its citizens, Indonesia, a growing nation, keeps expanding its collaboration with other nations in a number of areas, including commerce and investment. Consumer purchasing power is currently declining as a result of the crisis that is hitting practically every nation. UMKM in Indonesia is one of the groups impacted by the crisis. SMEs need a strategy to survive and compete in this crisis. This strategy not only targets the local scope but also the international one. One of those strategies is mastering English in the business world. English is an international language that serves as a means of communication for people around the world. The ability to communicate in English can be used in various aspects of life. Language skills for business practitioners can be utilized for optimal product development, whether from SMEs or small businesses, such as marketing. The purpose of this research is to understand the role, constraints, and impact of English as the medium of instruction in business or marketing. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects are MSME actors in Soppeng, with the research period from June to July 2024. The data collection method uses observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. From the research results, the role of English as a medium of communication in interacting with consumers is very important because it impacts long-term business efforts. Moreover, the challenges faced by MSME actors include difficulties in pronunciation and a lack of vocabulary knowledge. very relevant for SMEs because this approach is designed to meet specific language needs in a business context. By focusing on directly applicable communication skills, it enables MSMEs to understand technical terminology, marketing strategies, and negotiation tactics that are often required in international business interactions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of brand equity, service quality, and organizational commitment on lecturer performance through job loyalty at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Employing a descriptive quantitative research approach, data were collected from 106 respondents via questionnaires. Hypotheses were tested using Path Analysis and Sobel Test methods. The research findings reveal that brand equity has a positive but non significant effect on job loyalty, while service quality and organizational commitment significantly influence job loyalty. Additionally, brand equity, service quality, organizational commitment, and job loyalty collectively have a positive and significant impact on lecturer performance. Interestingly, brand equity does not significantly affect lecturer performance through job loyalty; however, service quality and organizational commitment significantly influence lecturer performance through job loyalty. Based on these findings, recommendations are provided to the university management to develop holistic and integrated strategies aimed at enhancing service quality, reinforcing organizational commitment, and improving lecturer job loyalty. These strategies may include professional development programs, infrastructure and facility enhancements, fostering an inclusive organizational culture, and strengthening communication and relationships between management and lecturers. Furthermore, efforts to enhance institutional branding are suggested to bolster the university's image and reputation as a leading academic institution committed to quality education

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum presents student-centered learning with a differentiated system that recognizes the different needs and abilities of each student. Peer tutoring is a learning method that can be used in this learning, where students help each other learn the material. Students are divided into three groups based on their level of understanding to discuss together and work on different assignments for each group. The results showed that some students increased their self-confidence and motivation, and were able to catch up in completing their LKPD or LKS assignments.

Abstract

The Engfluence program is an interactive E-Learning-based course designed to improve students' English skills at SMAN 2 Makassar. This program was implemented in response to students' low English proficiency, particularly at the Elementary level (A1-A2 CEFR), as identified through pre-tests and classroom observations. The action research method was employed, involving problem identification, data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The program utilized digital platforms such as Google Meet, Canva, Wordwall, Kahoot, and Quizizz to create interactive and engaging learning experiences. Evaluation results indicated significant improvements in students' English proficiency. The Beginner class (A1-A2) showed an average score increase of 23 points (from 52 to 75), while the Intermediate class (B1-B2) improved by 17 points (from 65 to 82). Key success factors included an intensive and structured learning approach, level-based class division, and the use of interactive digital media. The program not only enhanced students' understanding of the material but also boosted their confidence in using English for communication.

Abstract

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is the leading cause of death in the world. The prevalence of heart disease in Papua Province is 4.3%, while in Jayapura City is 1.6%. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of the increased risk of coronary heart disease in PTM posbindu participants in the working area of ​​the Kotaraja Health Center. This design study used a cross-sectional study. The sample is 52 Posbindu PTM participants who are recorded in the SIPTM Offline Form during 2020. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Statistical test using Chi-Square test and Fisher Exact test. A total of 12 people (23.08%) posbindu participants were at high risk of suffering from CHD, as many as 16 people (30.77%) were at moderate risk of suffering from CHD, and as many as 24 people (46.15%) were at low risk of suffering from CHD in the next 10 years. As many as 81.82% of posbindu participants aged 40 years are at high risk and are suffering from CHD in the next 10 years, and 70% of posbindu participants with hypertension are at high risk and are suffering from CHD in the next 10 years. The results of the statistical analysis found that age (p=0.000), gender (0.011), and a history of heart disease (p=0.011) were associated with an increased risk of CHD in PTM Posbindu participants. Factors associated with an increased risk of CHD are age, gender, and history of heart disease. Strengthening the PTM Posbindu needs to be done to monitor a healthy lifestyle, control blood pressure, and nutritional counselling to control unhealthy diets.

Abstract

The skill of writing narrative texts is still very low and difficult for most students of SMPN 1 Kuala Batee. The objectives of this study are 1) to find out the level of students' ability in writing narrative texts, 2) to find out the causes that make their scores low in writing narrative texts. This study uses quantitative research. The subjects of the study were 98 students. The test is used as a data collection technique. The results of the study show that, there are 81 students who could not write narrative texts at all or were included in the Very Poor category, 6 students who got a category with a score range of 70-79. There are 4 students who are included in the Excellent category with the highest score of 95. Then, 2 students were included in the Poor category and 5 students were included in the Very Poor category. Among the 98 students, only 17 students took the narrative text writing test. And among the 17 students, only 59% (10 students) were able to do it. The cause of students' low scores in writing narrative texts was found to be not mastering English vocabulary which led them not participating in the survey. Also, limited knowledge in identifying the general structure and language of narrative text features was also a cause to students’ low achievement in writing narrative text.

Abstract

Pelatihan penggunaan game Bamboozle berbasis web bagi guru dan siswa SMP Kartika XX-2 Makassar merupakan kegiatan pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dan siswa dalam menggunakan game edukasi online bernama Bamboozle. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode hands-on learning, dimana para peserta akan dilibatkan secara langsung dalam menggunakan Bamboozle sebagai media pembelajaran. Dalam pelatihan ini, para peserta akan diberikan pemahaman mengenai konsep dan manfaat dari game edukasi online Bamboozle, serta bagaimana cara menggunakannya sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif.  Setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini, para guru dan siswa di SMP Kartika XX-2 Makassar diharapkan dapat menggunakan Bamboozle secara mandiri dan efektif dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa, serta memudahkan guru dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran dengan cara yang lebih menarik dan interaktif.

Abstract

Abad ke-21 menuntut perubahan dalam pendekatan pendidikan, dengan fokus pada pengembangan kecerdasan emosional (EQ) di kelas. Pelatihan guru menjadi krusial dalam konteks ini, menargetkan peningkatan kemampuan mereka untuk mengidentifikasi, memahami, dan mengelola emosi siswa, serta emosi mereka sendiri. Penelitian ini menggali metode pelatihan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan EQ guru, yang pada gilirannya akan memfasilitasi lingkungan belajar yang lebih empatik dan produktif. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, studi ini mengamati dampak pelatihan EQ pada guru dan murid, serta efeknya terhadap prestasi akademik dan kesejahteraan psikososial. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam interaksi kelas, pengelolaan konflik, dan motivasi belajar siswa. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan EQ bagi guru bukan hanya meningkatkan iklim kelas, tetapi juga merupakan kunci sukses pendidikan di abad 21. Dengan meningkatnya pengakuan akan pentingnya kesehatan mental dan kecerdasan emosional dalam pendidikan, penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana pelatihan EQ dapat secara integral menyatukan aspek-aspek ini ke dalam kurikulum dan pedagogi. Pelatihan ini membekali guru dengan strategi intervensi proaktif untuk mengatasi masalah emosional dan perilaku di kelas, sekaligus memberikan mereka alat untuk mempromosikan keterampilan sosial dan emosional siswa. Ini termasuk pelajaran tentang empati, pengaturan diri, dan komunikasi efektif. Selain itu, studi ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana pelatihan EQ berkontribusi pada pengembangan kepemimpinan guru dan bagaimana hal itu mempengaruhi iklim sekolah secara keseluruhan. Temuan mengindikasikan bahwa guru yang terlatih dalam EQ cenderung menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih inklusif dan mendukung, yang penting untuk menangani keanekaragaman dalam ruang kelas modern. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pelatihan kecerdasan emosional bagi guru sebagai alat penting untuk menghadapi tantangan pendidikan abad ke-21. Melalui pengembangan EQ, guru dapat lebih efektif dalam mengajar, membimbing, dan mendukung siswa, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz berbasis web dalam Ulangan Harian (UH) siswa SMK Negeri 10 Makassar adalah kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas Quizziz dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, partisipasi siswa, dan efisiensi evaluasi. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa Quizziz memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan efektivitas evaluasi, meskipun menghadapi beberapa tantangan teknis dan adaptasi di awal. Setelah kegiatan ini dilakukan, guru-guru diharapkan mampu mengaplikasikan Quizziz dalam mengevaluasi pembelajaran siswa sebagai solusi inovatif yang mendukung upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan melalui integrasi teknologi di SMK Negeri 10 Makassar.
