Abstract

The gap between abstract mathematical concepts and local cultural realities often hinders the effectiveness of students' geometric comprehension. This study aims to integrate the architectural wisdom of the traditional Baeleo Hena Puan house as a contextual pedagogical framework to strengthen geometric literacy. Through a qualitative exploratory descriptive approach, an in-depth visual analysis of the architectural structure was conducted to identify geometric concepts such as two-dimensional shapes (rectangles, triangles, trapezoids) and three-dimensional solids (rectangular and triangular prisms). The findings demonstrate that these architectural elements not only represent physical forms but also embody patterns of repetition and reflectional symmetry, reflecting complex mathematical activities in accordance with D’Ambrosio’s ethnomathematics theory. This research concludes that transforming architectural values into instructional materials serves as a strategic bridge to enhance students' cognitive engagement in meaningful mathematics learning. The proposed pedagogical framework provides an integrated learning model that enables educators to transform ethnomathematical data into instructional media relevant to 21st-century competency requirements. By incorporating traditional building designs into the formal curriculum, geometry instruction becomes more applicable while simultaneously functioning as a tool for preserving cultural identity within a modern educational setting. Implementing this framework is expected to facilitate a paradigm shift from formula-based learning to context-based and experiential-based learning.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic priority in higher education, influencing not only institutional processes but also how universities are perceived by stakeholders. However, research on digital transformation and university image remains fragmented across disciplines. This study employs a quantitative bibliometric approach to systematically map global research on digital transformation and university image. A dataset of 331 publications indexed in Scopus (2018–2025) was retrieved using a structured search strategy. Data were cleaned and analyzed using Publish or Perish for citation metrics and VOSviewer for science mapping, including co-authorship, co-occurrence, and co-citation analyses. The findings reveal a significant increase in publications after 2020, indicating growing scholarly interest in the topic. Research output is geographically concentrated in countries such as Germany, China, and the United Kingdom, with strong international collaboration networks. Keyword co-occurrence analysis identifies four major thematic clusters: digital transformation and innovation, higher education governance and strategy, digital leadership and organizational change, and stakeholder perception and university image. The results suggest a shift from technology-focused discussions toward institutional and strategic perspectives. The study highlights an emerging conceptual convergence in which digital transformation is increasingly framed as an institutional capability linked to stakeholder experience and university image formation. Despite this development, gaps remain in the operationalization and measurement of university image within digital contexts. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the intellectual structure and evolution of the field, offering directions for future research and strategic insights for higher education institutions navigating digital transformation.

Abstract

Variations in institutional quality indicate the absence of a coherent and standardized framework for defining school excellence. Muhammadiyah has extensive contribution schools in Indonesia. Offers an integrative Outstanding School Model of Muhammadiyah as a strategic framework for achieving a golden standard in future-oriented education. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of Islamic values and future competencies into a unified Outstanding School Model of Muhammadiyah, which is further aligned with a real-world school evaluation system to establish a standardized framework for educational excellence. This study employs a qualitative design-based approach by integrating systematic literature review and document analysis to develop an Outstanding School Model of Muhammadiyah. The findings reveal that, although the MFS instrument is structurally comprehensive, it remains conceptually fragmented. Through thematic and quantitative analysis, its components are reorganized into four core dimensions: academic excellence, Islamic character (Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan), future skills, and institutional quality. The results also indicate an imbalance in indicator distribution, with a strong emphasis on institutional aspects and limited integration of future-oriented competencies. The transformation of an existing evaluation system into a coherent and integrative framework that aligns Islamic educational values with global competencies. Furthermore, the model is aligned with SDG 4 Quality Education, reinforcing its relevance within global educational discourse. This study contributes by providing a standardized reference for improving school quality and guiding the development of Muhammadiyah education toward a sustainable and future-ready paradigm.
