Abstract

The rapid rise of online gambling in Indonesia has created widespread concern due to its significant economic and social consequences. Despite being illegal, the accessibility and growth of digital platforms have made online gambling increasingly prevalent, with transaction values estimated to have reached IDR 327 trillion by 2023. This study aims to examine the socioeconomic impact of online gambling on household financial stability, labor productivity, and consumption behavior, as well as to assess the effectiveness of current regulatory responses. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research analyzes secondary data from official reports, media sources, and peer-reviewed literature. Thematic content analysis reveals five critical dimensions of impact: financial instability, rising household debt, reduced work productivity, diversion of household expenditure, and weak policy enforcement. The study also illustrates a sharp increase in online gambling activities over the past five years, indicating a growing threat to national economic resilience. This research contributes theoretically to the discourse on informal digital economies and behavior-driven financial risk. Practically, it calls for integrated policy responses involving financial literacy, regulatory reform, digital surveillance, and social protection mechanisms. A holistic, multi-sectoral approach is necessary to mitigate the economic harm caused by online gambling and safeguard vulnerable communities.

Abstract

Abstract

Principal academic supervision management is a crucial factor in improving elementary school teacher performance amid the increasing demands for educational quality and digital transformation in the Grogol District, Cilegon City. The background of the study indicates persistent issues in teacher performance, including suboptimal lesson planning, less innovative teaching methods, and limited integration of educational technology. The research problem is formulated as how principals manage academic supervision to enhance teacher performance through planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up processes. This study employs a qualitative case study approach involving eleven public elementary schools. The findings reveal that academic supervision is conducted systematically, collaboratively, and continuously through classroom observations, reflective discussions, workshops, and On-the-Job Training supported by the Academic Learning System. The results indicate a 15 percent improvement in teacher performance, increasing from 75 to 95, as well as an 80 percent improvement in school learning achievement. The study concludes that integrated, collaborative, and technology-based academic supervision management significantly enhances teacher professionalism. The novelty of this research lies in the development of a digital-collaborative supervision model that integrates teacher participation, continuous professional development, and real-time digital monitoring systems to ensure more effective, efficient, and measurable teacher performance management. Supporting factors include principal commitment, teacher openness, collaborative school culture, and technological support. In contrast, the main obstacles include time constraints, administrative workload, and variations in teacher competence. The findings imply that academic supervision should be managed as adaptive, participatory, and sustainable professional development oriented toward continuous improvement of learning quality in Indonesian elementary schools, serving as a reference for developing a more effective, systematic, and sustainable digital-collaborative supervision model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication strategies used by Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) families to maintain household harmony during long-distance marriages (LDM), particularly among KOPASGAT soldiers serving in the UN UNIFIL mission in Lebanon. Furthermore, this study explores the factors influencing successful communication and the obstacles that arise in long-distance relationships. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five TNI KOPASGAT UNIFIL FBB soldiers in Lebanon as key informants, five wives, two children aged at least 10 years, and one expert informant in the field of family psychology. The theories used in this study are Family Systems Theory and The Interactional View. The results show that the communication strategies implemented emphasize openness, consistent communication, emotional support, and the use of digital technology. Factors supporting successful communication include trust, commitment, social support, and emotional maturity. Obstacles encountered include technical constraints, time differences, and psychological stress due to assignment situations in conflict areas. In conclusion, appropriate, adaptive, and systematic communication strategies play an important role in maintaining family harmony even when physically separated for a long period of time.
