Abstract

Target khusus yang ingin dicapai melalui kegiatan Program KKN-PPM  ini adalah: (a) meminimalisir limbah plastik yang sulit terurai khususnya di Gunungsari Kabupaten Lombok Barat, (b) meningkatkan efisiensi biaya pengelolaan sampah, (c) melakukan perbaikan pada sistem teknologi pengolahan sampah melalui pengolahan sampah plastik menggunakan Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (d) meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat agar lebih bersemangat dalam melakukan pengolahan sampah plastik menggunakan Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (e) membangun kemitraan dan kerjasama yang efektif antara Perguruan Tinggi, Pemerintah Daerah dan masyarakat di Gunungsari Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Kegiatan KKN-PPM ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan pada semester genap tahun akademik 2019/2020. Adapun metode kegiatan KKN-PPM ini adalah metode workshop dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan yang telah dilakukan didapatkan tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat di Desa Gunungsari terkait pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi BBM masih kurang sehingga perlu adanya pendampingan dalam pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi BBM melalui PoGREP.Community Empowerment through Training on Plastic Waste Management Using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po Grep) in Gunungsari, West Lombok RegencyAbstractSpecific targets to be achieved through the KKN-PPM Program activities are: (a) minimizing plastic waste that is difficult to decompose, especially in Gunungsari, West Lombok Regency, (b) increasing the efficiency of waste management costs, (c) making improvements to the waste processing technology system through processing plastic waste using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (d) increasing community participation to be more enthusiastic in processing plastic waste using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (e) building effective partnerships and cooperation between Universities, Local Government and the community in Gunungsari, West Lombok Regency. This KKN-PPM activity was carried out for 3 months in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The KKN-PPM activity method is a workshop method in the form of training and mentoring. Based on the results of the training that has been carried out, it is found that the level of understanding and skills of the people in Gunungsari Village regarding processing plastic waste into fuel is still lacking so there is a need for assistance in processing plastic waste into BBM through PoGREP.

Abstract

Information literacy at the higher education level is very important because it tends to be problematic in fostering students' critical thinking skills, including awareness, collection, understanding, analysis, synthesis, and the use of information and their attitudes to the treatment of information at the university level. This study examined the effects of the online learning Google Classroom in enhancing information literacy among students. This study observed a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. This research involved 65 students from the Chemistry Course under the Biochemistry Program. The instrument used to assess students’ information literacy consist of fair set of multiple-choice questions. The test was found to be very valid at 4.22% and highly reliable at an alpha level of 0.86. The findings of this research showed that the information literacy of students improved before and after their learning exposure using Google Classroom based on the descriptive and inferential statistics. Moreover, the students' attitude towards the online platform shows that they are more willing to learn using Google Classroom than the non-online or conventional learning platforms. Therefore, applying Google Classroom in online learning is effectively boost students’ information literacy.

Abstract

Secara umum masalah dan kendala utama yang dihadapi Petani Jagung di daerah Labuapi adalah belum adanya upaya dan pengembangan yang baik dalam usaha diversifikasi produk olahan jagung yang berdaya jual tinggi dan bernilai ekonomis. Kondisi ini dikarenakan masyarakat petani daerah Labuapi belum mengenal teknologi pengolahan tersebut. Selain itu, minat masyarakat terhadap pangan berbasis jagung masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan sebagian masyarakat tentang nilai gizi jagung, tampilan produk pangan dari jagung yang kurang menarik, dan adanya anggapan bahwa jagung hanya dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat berekonomi lemah. Kegiatan KKN-PPM yang telah dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keanekaragaman produk olahan jagung melalui penerapan teknologi pengembangan diversifikasi produk olahan jagung yang murah dan mudah diaplikasikan oleh petani jagung. Kegiatan KKN-PPM telah dilakukan selama 3 bulan pada semester genap tahun akademik 2016. Adapun kegiatan yang telah dilakukan meliputi: pembekalan KKN-PPM pada mahasiswa, pelatihan dan pendampingan secara langsung pada petani jagung dalam menghasilkan produk berupa diversifikasi olahan jagung seperti susu jagung, mie jagung, dodol jagung dan tempe jagung. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan yang telah dilakukan didapatkan tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat (petani jagung) di Desa telagawaru memuaskan, sedangkan kualitas produk olahan jagung yang dihasilkan berhasil baik atau maksimal. Kata Kunci: Diversifikasi, Produk Olahan Jagung.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk dan kelayakan Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis KAPRA Pada Materi Larutan Asam Basa Untuk Kelas XI SMA/MA yang telah dikembangkan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan konseptual ADDIE yang dikembangkan oleh Reiser dan Mollendayang dibatasi pada tiga tahap yaitu 1) tahap analyze, bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengembangkan pemahaman yang jelas tentang kebutuhan peserta didik 2) tahap perancangan (Design) bertujuan untuk menyiapkan perancangan bahan ajar berbasis KAPRA 3) tahap pengembangan (Develop) bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berbasis KAPRA berupa modul  yang sudah direvisi berdasarkan masukan dari uji ahli validasi, uji praktisi, dan uji terbatas. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berupa Modul Kimia pada materi larutan asam basa dan divalidasi oleh 2 validator ahli dan validasi praktisi oleh 2 guru mata pelajaran kimia menggunakan instrumen validasi berupa angket serta diujicoba kepada 10 orang siswa SMA Negeri 6 Mataram. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis KAPRA Pada Materi Larutan Asam Basa Untuk Kelas XI SMA/MA ini sangat layak digunakan, terbukti dengan skor penilaian validasi ahli sebesar 90,90%, validasi praktisi oleh guru kimia sebesar 86,25% dan hasil uji coba terbatas siswa sebesar 81,47%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of POGIL to creative thinking skilland conceptual understanding of students at senior high school. This researchform of quasi experimental was carried out by postest-only control groupdesign. Research conducted in SMAN1 Montong Gading using sample whichdetermined by saturated sampling technique, 24 number of XA class studentsas experiment class, and 24 number of XB class students as control class.Creative thinking skills data was collected by observation sheets andconceptual understanding data by reasoning multiple choices test. The resultsshowed that the average creative thinking skill of experimental class at the 1st,2nd, and 3rdmeeting was 64.388, 72.656, and 79.752.The mean of creativethinking skill of the control class at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rdmeeting was 59.765,67.447, and 73.476.The hypothesis test result of creative thinking skill datausing independent sample t-test it is known that significance value of t-countwas 0.040 < 0.05, and conceptual understaning data by paired sample t-test itis known that significance value of t-count was 0.000 < 0.05. So that, there isinfluence of POGIL model to student creative thinking skill and conceptualunderstanding.

Abstract

One of critical problems faced by students in learning process is lack of teaching materials. Teaching materials are selected by the teacher, and mostly they focuson a review of materials and problem solving, without considering environment aspect in learning. Therefore, the attitude of student toward environment and awareness of science are lacking. Ideally, students must be equipped with modules that can stimulate them to learn and have environment awareness. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of a developed module. The module was developed by adopting ADDIE model, consisting of 1) analyze, 2) design, 3) develop, 4) implementation, and 5) evaluation. The study was conducted on class XII IPA3 at SMAN 1 Batukliang. At development stage, the validation results showed that the module is very feasible for use, as suggested by expert evaluation score of 96.04%, practitioner evaluation of 97.77%, as well as average score from students of 97.27%. Result of N-gain test shows that the average N-gain 0.8 demonstrating the remarkable effectiveness of module in improving the scientific literacy of students. Overall, it can be concluded that the developed module was highly feasible for use and can help to improve scientific literacy of students.

Abstract

Pengembangan bahan ajar ini didasari oleh hasil observasi tentang masalah pendidikan seperti pembelajaran konvensional dan bahan ajar yang masih kurang mengarah pada keaktifan dan kemandirian siswa. Selain itu, kondisi kelas dan tingkat kesulitan materi kimia khususnya reaksi redoks dan elektrokimia berdasarkan hasil investigasi awal mendapat interpretasi sulit dengan persentase 70%. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan bahan ajar penting dilakukan agar dapat mempermudah dan memperluas wawasan tentang materi reaksi redoks dan elektrokimia secara konvensional. Bahan ajar ini dikembangkan dengan berbasis model problem posing. Pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan kelayakan bahan ajar reaksi redoks dan elektrokimia berbasis problem posing. Model pembelajaran problem posing memiliki berbagai tahapan yaitu (1) Motivasi, (2) Penguraian secara kontekstual, (3) Penjabaran dan penjelasan masalah, (4) Merumuskan masalah dengan membuat soal dan (5) Menjawab soal dan merangkum seruluh isi materi. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Plomp. Tahapan penelitian dari model tersebut meliputi fase investigasi awal, fase desain, fase realisasi/konstruksi, fase tes, evaluasi dan revisi serta fase implementasi. Hasil pengembangan  diperoleh pada fase tes, evaluasi dan revisi menunjukan validasi bahan ajar dari validator dengan persentase rata-rata 87,25% dan interpretasi sangat layak, validasi bahan ajar dari 10 siswa dengan persentase rata-rata 81% dan interpretasi sangat layak serta validasi dari guru bidang studi dengan persentase 81,25%. Dengan demikian, bahan ajar yang dikembangkan ini dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan sebagai sumber referensi dan media pembelajaran.

Abstract

The influence of cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship to entrepreneurship motivation and conceptual understanding of students on colloidal system concept. Colloidal system concept was a concept that requires highly analysis with mastery of concepts that must be understood and require students practice in daily life. Learning will be more meaningful and provide a deep understanding of the learners when learning adapted to the characteristics of the subject matter. One effective solution was implement the cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship. This study aimed to determine the influence of cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship to entrepreneurship motivation and conceptual understanding of students. The study design used was pretest-posttest control group design, the sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The population in this study were all students of grade XII IPA SMA AL-Hamzar, Thatwas 50 students were divided into an experimental group of 26 students and a control group of 24 students. Entrepreneurship motivation analysis technique using multivariate test obtained scores of experimental group 63%, 74% and score of control group 66%, 68%. While conceptual understanding data using multivariate test with SPSS 16.0 for windows which scores obtained from initial test and final test on the conceptual understanding was no difference between the experimental group and control group that why used T test. Results obtained there was significant influences of cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship to entrepreneurship motivation and it had no influence on students' conceptual understanding with sig = 0.304 > 0.05. So it can be concluded that there was no influence of cooperative learning type TAI based on chemoentrepreneurship to conceptual understanding of students.

Abstract

Acid-base material is one subject that is considered difficult by students. In addition, students are less able to associate material with a problem or phenomenon in everyday life. The development of a teaching material in the form of modules can be seen as a solution to this problem. This study aims to develop a prototype in the form of developing contextual-based chemical modules to build students' conceptual understanding of acid-base material. This research is a development research with ADDIE model design (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of the development were validated by two expert validators, one practitioner validator and ten MA Al-Mansyurati NW Aik Bukak students as students' limited test validators. Quantitative data from the results of feasibility validation were analyzed by percentage formula. Qualitative data in the form of responses and suggestions for improvement from the validator are used as considerations to make revisions to the modules developed. In general, the validator's assessment of the results of the development obtained an average percentage of material expert validators 88.8%, product design expert validators 95%, practitioner validators 92%, and limited trials of students 85.28%. This shows that the developed module is very feasible to proceed to the effectiveness test phase. Thus it can be concluded that the contextually based modules are declared to be feasible with very good quality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran TGT dengan media Domino terhadap minat dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi struktur atom. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian “Posttest-Only Control Design”. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling dan didapatkan kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) minat belajar kelas eksperimen sebesar 77% sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 76%. 2) Hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 75 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 67% sedangkan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 71 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 50%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis didapatkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,093 > 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol pada materi struktur atom.
