Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan memahami strategi komunikasi interpersonal yang digunakan oleh pemimpin tim Rare dalam membangun kekompakan, koordinasi, dan kerja sama tim dalam konteks permainan online Point Blank. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis konten. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari lima anggota aktif tim Rare. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara online dengan pertanyaan terbuka. Hasil wawancara direkam, ditranskrip, dan dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama terkait strategi komunikasi tim. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah lima indikator strategi komunikasi interpersonal yang dijalankan oleh pemimpin Tim Rare, yaitu keterbukaan (openness), empati (empathy), dukungan (supportiveness), sikap positif (positiveness), dan kesetaraan (equality). Kelima strategi ini mencerminkan peran kapten dalam membangun komunikasi yang inklusif dan dialogis, menciptakan suasana tim yang suportif dan demokratis. Kapten membuka ruang diskusi, memahami kondisi emosional anggota, memberikan dukungan mental, menyebarkan semangat positif, serta mendorong partisipasi setara, sehingga memperkuat solidaritas dan kekompakan tim dalam situasi kompetitif

Abstract

The increasing demand for renewable energy expertise requires practical, competency-based education, particularly in electrical engineering programs. This study aimed to address the lack of effective learning media for solar power generation, which influences student preparedness and the overall quality of renewable energy education. Using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), instructional media were developed to enhance students’ practical understanding of solar power generation. The study involved 29 sixth-semester undergraduate students enrolled in an electrical engineering education program. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing pretests and posttests to measure learning outcomes, along with students’ feedback. The results indicated a strong need for improved solar power generation tools and revealed significant competency gaps among students. The developed media included concept maps, diagrams, case studies, and interactive exercises, received very high feasibility ratings: 91.67% from media experts, 89.57% from material experts, and 91.40% from users. Following implementation, students demonstrated a significant improvement in understanding (p = 0.012) with high test reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.891). These findings demonstrate that the developed instructional media provide a validated, and practical solution to strengthen renewable energy education and support workforce readiness for the global energy transition.

Abstract

The use of gamification in higher education has been widely explored as a strategy to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. However, many empirical studies on gamified learning primarily examine direct relationships between gamification and motivational outcomes, while the underlying experiential mechanisms that connect gamification with sustained engagement and higher-order cognitive performance remain insufficiently understood. In particular, few structural modeling studies simultaneously examine the roles of motivation, flow, and presence within a unified experiential framework. This study investigates how gamification technology influences student engagement and problem-solving competence through the experiential mechanisms of motivation, flow, and presence. A quantitative research design was employed involving 100 undergraduate students enrolled in technology-oriented programs (electronics engineering education and informatics engineering education) at Universitas Negeri Padang. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine the proposed mediation pathways. The results indicate that gamification technology significantly influences motivation (β = 0.412, p < 0.001), flow (β = 0.508, p < 0.001), and presence (β = 0.436, p < 0.001). Among the experiential constructs, flow shows the strongest influence on student engagement (β = 0.483, p < 0.001), while the effect of motivation on engagement is not statistically significant (β = 0.097, p = 0.18). Student engagement subsequently demonstrates a significant effect on problem-solving competence (β = 0.498, p < 0.001). The structural model explains 30.6% of the variance in student engagement and 24.8% of the variance in problem-solving competence. These findings suggest that immersive experiential states, particularly flow, play an important role in shaping engagement in gamified learning environments. The study contributes to the gamification literature by proposing and empirically testing an experiential pathway model that integrates psychological immersion mechanisms with behavioral learning outcomes in technology-enhanced education.
