Abstract

Sanitasi kolam renang diperlukan untuk memutuskan rantai penularan penyakit kepada pengunjung baik berasal dari pengunjung maupun kualitas air kolam yang kurang memenuhi syarat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran sanitasi kolam renang umum di Kota Kupang tahun 2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan metode observasi dan pemeriksaan secara langsung terhadap kualitas fisik, biologi dan kimia air kolam renang. Jumlah sampel terdiri dari 2 kolam renang umum di Kota Kupang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fasilitas sanitasi dan konstruksi kolam renang memenuhi syarat namun masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan seperti tidak adanya penutup pada tempat sampah, tidak adanya tempat penampungan sampah sementara dan tidak adanya bak cuci kaki. Hasil pemeriksaan kualitas air setelah digunakan tidak memenuhi standar kesehatan lingkungan kolam renang. Ditemukan kandungan e. coli yang cukup tinggi pada kedua kolam renang, penurunan pH air dan sisa klor di bawah standar yang ditetapkan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya meningkatnya jumlah pengunjung kolam serta kurangnya pemberian desinfektan pada air kolam renang. Disimpulkan bahwa kualitas air kolam renang Wirasakti dan kolam renang Batu Nona belum memenuhi syarat sesuai dengan permenkes RI no. 32 tahun 2017.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a disease that attacks the respiratory tract caused by a virus that spreads through droplets or a sprinkling of phlegm. Implementation of health protocols arises to prevent COVID-19’s spreading. The behavior of traders in the market who do not follow health protocols can facilitate the transmission of COVID-19. To break the chain of COVID-19 distribution, knowledge, attitude, and action are needed. This study aims to describe knowledge, attitudes, and activities avoiding the spread of COVID-19. The design of this study uses the descriptive survey method. Data collection was taken using a total sampling technique or taken as a whole from a total population of 120 people. Analysis of the data used is univariable analysis. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the knowledge is in a suitable category, namely 55 people (45,8%), good category 45 people (37,5%), and less type 20 people ( 16,7%). The attitude is in the negative category for as many as 75 people (62,5%) and the positive category for as many as 45 people (37,5%). The actions in the Poor category, as many as 74 people (61.7%), and in the excellent category, as many as 46 people (38.3%). It is recommended that relevant agencies can be inputted and considered in making policies for implementing the COVID-19 prevention program at the Weekarou traditional market.

Abstract

The Covid-19 vaccine is one of the government's breakthroughs to fight and deal with Covid-19 in the world, especially Indonesia. The goal of the Covid-19 vaccination is to reduce the spread of Covid-19, reduce the morbidity and mortality caused by Covid-19, achieve immunity and protect the public from Covid-19, so that it can protect society and the economy. This study aims to describe the Perception of the Community Recipient of the Covid-19 Vaccine in East Penfui Village Rt.18. This research was conducted using a type of qualitative research using a descriptive survey method. The population in this study is all the people in RT 18, East Penfui Village. The population of this research study is the people who live in RT 18, East Penfui Village with a total of 400 people and the sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique with a sample size of 200 people. The results showed that the majority of the people of RT 18, East Penfui Village believed in the safety and availability of the Covid-19 vaccine, namely 137 residents or 68.5%, while 63 residents (32.5%) were unsure about the safety and availability of the vaccine. Covid-19. the entire community of RT 18, East Penfui Village has received the Covid-19 vaccine under the brands Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Pfizer, Novavax, Moderna and with the complete dose, namely the first dose and the second dose (100%). The people of RT 18, East Penfui Village gave an unfavorable response or reaction to the addition of the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, namely 104 residents (52%). Suggestions for the Government Provide education about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine and strive to foster a sense of trust, safety, and comfort in administering the Covid-19 vaccine.

Abstract

Integrated service postis is a basic health activity organized from, by, and for the community to reduce infant mortality, and maternal mortality (pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum), cultivate small happy, and prosperous families, and increase the role of participants and the community's ability to develop health and welfare activities and family planning. This study aims to describe the characteristics of mothers under five in integrated service posts in the working area of ​​the Tarus Health Center in 2022. The type of research is a descriptive study using a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study were all mothers of children under five who were recorded at integrated service posts in the working area of ​​the Tarus Health Center who had toddlers from 0-60 months of age as many as 3,675 people and the sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 97 people. The results showed that the distribution of respondents was based on the number of visits to the integrated service post, namely active visits (52.5%), and inactive visits (47.4%). The age of the mother of children under five is at most 31-35 (36.1%), the mother's education is high school education at most (41.2%), the mother's occupation is the most in IRT work (51.5%), Mother's reassurance toddlers who have good knowledge are (59.8%), less well are as many as (40.2%), the distance from house to integrated service post is near (54.6%), far away (45.3%). Suggestions for community health service centers can provide understanding and awareness to mothers of toddlers so that they routinely bring children under five to the integrated service post every month so that the growth and development of toddlers can be monitored.

Abstract

Pada umumnya menstruasi terjadi pada usia 11 tahun, namun tidak menutup kemungkinan terjadi pada sebelum atau sesudah usia 11 tahun. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku personal hygiene menstruasi pada remaja putri di SMA Negeri Kota Ende. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh remaja putri di SMA/SMK Negeri Kota Ende dengan jumlah 3.070 siswi. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah Multistage Random Sampling dengan jumlah sampel yaitu 89 responden. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan responden terhadap perilaku personal hygiene menstruasi kurang baik ( 61, 8%), sikap responden terhadap perilaku personal hygiene menstruasi bersikap positif (50,6%), informasi yang di dapat oleh responden mengenai personal hygiene menstruasi benar sebanyak (51,7%), dukungan sekolah terhadap personal hygiene menstruasi (52,8%) tidak mendukung, perilaku responden terhadap personal hygiene menstruasi kurang baik (55,1%), serta berdasarkan hasil observasi sarana dan prasarana personal hygiene menstruasi belum memenuhi syarat.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kualitas hidup merupakan kunci bagi Orang dengan Human Immunodefciency Virus (ODHIV) untuk memiliki usia harapan hidup yang lebih lama. Asupan gizi seimbang, kepatuhan terapi ARV dan tidak memilik stigma diri dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup ODHIV. Tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan menurunkan stigma diri pada ODHIV. Pretest dan posttest dilakukan untuk melihat perubahan pengetahuan, sikap dan stigma diri. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan koordinasi dengan mitra yaitu KPA Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur untuk menentukan peserta dan jadwal kegiatan. Peserta kegiatan sebanyak 20 orang dengan HIV. Materi pengabdian yaitu pendidikan kesehatan yang terdiri atas materi sumber zat gizi, aktifitas fisik dan manfaatnya, pentingnya kepatuhan terapi ARV, Stigma diri dan Kesehatan mental. Metode pendidikan kesehatan yang dilakukan dengan ceramah dan diskusi. Dari hasil pendidikan kesehatan diperoleh peningkatan pengetahuan pada kategori baik sebesar 95%, sikap positif 90% dan penurunan stigma diri sebesar 95%. Dari hasi pendidikan kesehatan dapat terlihat bahwa ODHIV memiliki komitmen untuk memelihara dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup dengan konsumsi gizi seimbang, kepatuhan terapy ARV, serta tidak memberikan stigma diri.Abstract: Quality of life is the key for people with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (PLHIV) to have a longer life expectancy. Balanced nutritional intake, adherence to ARV therapy and not having self-stigma can affect the quality of life for PLHIV. The purpose of this community service is to increase knowledge, attitudes and reduce self-stigma on PLHIV. Pre-test and post-test were conducted to see changes in knowledge, attitudes and self-stigmatism. This activity began with coordination with partners, namely the East Nusa Tenggara Province KPA to determine participants and schedule of activities. The service material is health education which consists of material sources of nutrients, physical activity and its benefits, the importance of adherence to ARV therapy, self-stigma and mental health. From the results of health education, it was obtained an increase in knowledge in the good category by 95%, a positive attitude by 90% and a decrease in self-stigmatism by 95%. From the results of health education it can be seen that PLHIV have a commitment to maintain and improve the quality of life by consuming balanced nutrition, adherence to ARV therapy, and not giving self-stigma.

Abstract

The lecture process experienced by students often makes them vulnerable to experiencing stressful conditions and even loss of motivation in undergoing lectures. How students overcome problems, difficulties, and challenges in study is related to their grit. Grit is a long-term passion and perseverance that helps individuals to stick to their commitments. This research aims to determine the relationship between mindset and grit in students at Nusa Cendana University. The method in this research is correlational quantitative. The subjects of this research were 268 active students at Nusa Cendana University who were at least in the third year of college. Spearman’s Rho correlation test results showed that mindset was positively related to grit (r = 0,372). Higher mindset is associated with higher grit.

Abstract

Decision-making is a cognitive process carried out to find the most appropriate alternative to change a behaviour, and it also occurs in alcoholic individuals to consider the cause and effect experienced to stop being alcoholic. Alcoholism is a term used for individuals who use and consume alcohol over long periods. The purpose of this study is to be able to describe how the dynamics of decision-making to stop consuming alcoholic beverages in former alcoholism based on perceptions, attitudes and behaviours that arise during the process of stopping consuming alcohol. The type of research used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Participants in this study amounted to 5 people in Kupang City. The results obtained showed that the initial perception of participants to decide to stop consuming alcohol due to feeling the adverse effects on themselves and the surrounding environment, then the participants began to take a stand by looking for and doing activities that can be used to stop consuming alcohol and behaviours that can be seen namely social support, reinforcement and modelling.

Abstract

Skincare product preference is an individual's interest in seeing and choosing certain skincare products that are the primary, most desirable, and are a priority choice. This study aims to determine the description of skincare product preferences and the impact of product use psychologically on students of the Faculty of Public Health, Nusa Cendana University Kupang. The type of research used is the mixed method. The research participants used the purposive sampling technique of 300 students of the Faculty of Public Health, Nusa Cendana University Kupang. The descriptive analysis results show that skincare products with the highest number of preferences are face wash (73.3%). The thematic analysis results indicate that students choose skincare products that can protect the skin, help solve skin problems, and brighten the skin. Psychologically, the use of skincare products makes students feel more confident.

Abstract

Clean behavior on household is an effort to made the family and awaken to each members of family has to volition and ability to PHBS practice,until all members of family could maintain and improve their health, prevent the risk of disease and threat of disease from themselves protectingand play an active role in themovement of  public health. The aim of this research how to knows the description of clean behavior on household at west Solor subdistrict,east Floresregency. The type of this research are used quantitative descriptive. As many as 66 are sampels household used in this research. The data collection techniques used simple random sampling. The data analysis used univariant analyse. The result of this research shows as much 20 (30%) PHBS households. The indicator of PHBS household at west Solor subdistrict,east Flores such as 66 (100%) childbirth assisted by health personels, such as 39 (59%) exclusive breasffeeding, such as 66 (100%) weighing babies and toddlers, such as 62 (93%) used of clean water, such as 62 (93%) wash hands with soap, such as 41 (62%) used healthy latrines, such as 60 (90%) eradicating mosquito larvae, such as 33 (50%) consume the fruits and the vegetables every day, such as  66 (100%) daily physical activity, and the 44 (67%) no smoking in the house. Is the recommended for public health center at Ritaebang to put on community emphasis and gift active attention to carry out PHBS household in every villages in west Solor subdistrict, implementation of socialization especially or counseling about exclusive breasffeeding, used healthy latrines, consume the fruits and the vegetables every day, and do not smoke in the house.
