Abstract

Learning solar system material for elementary school students is still carried out using printed textbooks. The lack of media use then impacts low motivation and student learning outcomes. This study aims to create electronic learning media in the form of an Android-based Serli module (E-Module Seroid) on solar system material. This research belongs to the type of development research which was developed using the ADDIE model. The subjects involved in this study consisted of 6 students in the small trial and 20 in the field trial. Data collection was carried out using the method of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests, with research instruments in the form of observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and multiple-choice tests. The research data were then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative data analysis was carried out with central tendency and data categorization—quantitative data analysis with the Wilcoxon test. The study results obtained a media validation value of 84 or very valid. Material validation is 87.5 or very valid. The practical result is 89.6, or very practical. The Wilcoxon test results obtained a significant value of 0.001. It means that the seroid module is effectively used in learning. The data analysis concluded that the android-based serli e-module (Seroid E-module) in the solar system material was valid, practical, and effective for sixth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The available learning media still need to be improved and still limited in the learning process, especially in science subjects, because they only use textbooks and occasionally do simple practices. This study aimed to prove the effectiveness of the Serli E-Module based on Android (Seroid E-Module) on electricity subject to the learning outcomes of sixth-grade elementary school students. This research is conducted in two groups: the experimental group and the control group. The research design used in this study was the control group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects in this study were 35 students of sixth-grade elementary school. The instrument used is a test instrument, namely multiple choice questions tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used the conditional test, namely the normality and homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test assisted by SPSS For Windows 25. The results of this study show that the use of Seroid E-Modules in electricity material is effectively used on student learning outcomes. So, it can be concluded that the Seroid E-Module on electricity material can be used to improve the learning outcomes of class VI elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the subtraction numeracy skills of second-grade students at SDN 165717 through the implementation of the Knisley learning model assisted by subtraction basket media. The background of this study is the low numeracy ability of students, particularly in subtraction, caused by conventional teaching methods that do not actively engage students in the learning process. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were second-grade students of SDN 165717. Data were collected through numeracy tests, observations of teacher and student activities, and documentation. The results showed that the application of the Knisley learning model assisted by subtraction basket media significantly improved students’ numeracy skills, as indicated by an increase in the average scores and the percentage of learning mastery from Cycle I to Cycle II. In addition, students’ participation and engagement during the learning process also improved. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Knisley learning model assisted by subtraction basket media is effective in improving the subtraction numeracy skills of second-grade students at SDN 165717.

Abstract

This research discusses the use of the pair check method using reading boards as a medium to improve students' reading skills. The purpose of this research is to determine and describe the effectiveness of the Pair Check learning model using reading boards in improving the reading skills of 2nd-grade elementary school students. This research was conducted using the Classroom Action Research method with a quantitative approach. The quantitative research method is the basis for the development of scientific knowledge. The low ability of students' reading comprehension is still a concern, so an effective learning model is needed to improve this skill. .The Pair Check learning model is a form of collaborative learning done in pairs, aiming to deepen or practice the learned material. Several studies show that the use of reading boards and letter cards can help improve students' reading skills, especially at the early stages in lower grades.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) learning model assisted by serial picture cards on students’ reading skills. The low level of students’ reading skills is caused by the lack of variation in learning models and the limited use of interesting instructional media. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects were elementary school students who were divided into an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class was taught using the Inside Outside Circle learning model assisted by serial picture cards, while the control class used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through reading skill tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing with a t-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in reading skills between students who were taught using the Inside Outside Circle learning model assisted by serial picture cards and those who were taught using conventional methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Inside Outside Circle learning model assisted by serial picture cards has a positive effect on improving students’ reading skills. This learning model can be used as an effective alternative to enhance reading skills in elementary schools.
