Abstract

MEA market is a great opportunity for our farmers. One commodity that is likely to be competitive in the MEA market is mangosteen. In fact, various problems faced by Gapoktan to plunge into the free market MEA. This study tried to assess the problems faced by Gapoktan Arta Mukti in the face of the MEA market and looking for problem-solving strategies faced. The method used is descriptive survey, with respondents 30 members Gapoktan Arta Mukti. Soft Systems Methodology used to analyze the problem and produce a conceptual model Gapoktan institutional improvement. The results showed there were many constraints faced by farmers' groups in the face of the MEA level of motivation among farmers to compete in the MEA is still lacking, the availability of ICT is not yet supporting, international networking has not been formed. But on the other hand the farmer has a carrying capacity of which has been certified organic and GHP as an important factor in commodity Manggis a prerequisite for entry into the free market. To prepare gapoktan jump directly to the required socialization MEA MEA, Quality Supervision, ICT Applications and Preparation of international networks.

Abstract

Target of this research is to know and elaborate: Activity of rosela agroindustries in Lembang and also make correct strategy to develop rosela agroindustries in Lembang. The method of this research used by case study. Data which used in this research is primary and secunder data. Primary data obtained with direct interview technique to responden, the secunder obtained from various institution which related to this research. Data analysed descriptively, is and also used by Analysis of SWOT to get correct strategy in development of  agroindustri rosela in Lembang.The result of this research are: the problem to develop of rosela agroindustri in Lembang in general for example is: lack of availability of Human Resource, lack of promotion and lack of support of medium and also institute. In consequence, strategy in development of rosela agroindustri in Lembang have to convergent local potency and strength and also orient market. Needed innovation and creativity to be tidy and market products of rosela sold authenticity, specification and local by rosela in Lembang.Keywords : Rosela, Agroindustries, Farmers, Free Trade Area

Abstract

Farmworkers in the coffee production section at CV. Frinsa Agrolestari are dominated by women, namely 9 women and 5 men. While the coffee production process is fairly heavy, female farmworkers continue to become workers in this company. The large number of females as farm workers can be caused by the low income in her family. Inadequate income from her husband salary will encourage some of the wifes to get additional income. This research was motivated by this phenomenon. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of welfare of female farmworker families, the contribution of female farmworkers income to the family income, and the motivation of female farmworkers working in the production field at the coffee factory of CV. Frinsa Agrolestari, Margamulya Village, Pangalengan, Bandung Regency. The approach taken in this research was a qualitative approach, using a case study with interviews based on indicators of family welfare levels according to the regulation of BKKBN in the year of 2005. The results of the study showed that the family welfare level of a female working in the field of coffee production at CV. Frinsa Agrolestari was in the Prosperous Family category I indicating that the income can fulfill basic needs such as clothing, shelter, health, and education. Contribution of income of female farmworkers to the family income ranged from 22.2% (the lowest) to 50% (the highest). Motivation of the female farmworkers to work is 89% due to economic reasons and 11% due to social reasons. Keywords: family, farm, labor, welfare,women

Abstract

Di Kabupaten Bandung Barat banyak petani sayuran yang mulai menjalankan pertanian organic, namun masih terdapat petani yang belum sepenuhnya menjalankan sistem budidaya sayuran organic sesuai dengan SOP. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan SOP sistem pertanian organic yang dilakukan oleh petani sayuran organic di Kabupaten Bandung Barat serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi petani dalam menerapkan SOP sistem pertanian organic. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga kecamatan di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, yaitu Kecamatan Lembang, Parongpong dan Cisarua. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 105 orang petani yang membudidayakan sayuran organic. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat penerapan SOP sistem pertanian organic masih tergolong sedang. Faktor yang mempengaruhi petani dalam menerapkan SOP sistem pertanian organic adalah tingkat pendidikan petani, keikutsertaan petani dalam kegiatan penyuluhan, persepsi petani terhadap keuntungan relative, tingkat kerumitan dan keteramatan dari budidaya sayuran organic. Dukungan kegiatan penyuluhan sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam membudidayakan sayuran organic sesuai dengan SOP serta meningkatkan akses ke pasar sayuran organik.Kata kunci : petani, sayuran, organic, penerapan, pengaruh

Abstract

Organic vegetable business opportunities are quite potential with the spread of a healthy lifestyle through the consumption of organic products. The problems faced by organic vegetable farmers include the use of technology and information that is not optimal. This study aims to analyze the communication network on organic vegetable agribusiness in West Bandung Regency; and analyzing the relationship between the communication network and the capacity of organic vegetable farmers in West Bandung Regency. This research used quantitative methods with survey techniques. The total respondents who were analyzed were 105 organic vegetable farmers in Lembang, Cisarua and Parongpong Districts who were selected using systematic random sampling technique. The results of the sociogram analysis showed that the communication network in organic vegetable agribusiness has a personal structure that spreads centrally (interlocking personal network). This diffuse and concentrated pattern in each click occurred because the areas where farmers lived were far from one another and the ability of farmers to access information sources varied. Farmers who have high capacity in managing organic vegetable farming are generally active in seeking information, and are able to market their products directly to the modern retail market, whereas farmers with moderate capacity tend to establish contacts and relationships that are limited to their community.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian adalah memberikan pemahaman kepada stakeholder koperasi agribisnis mengenai pentingnya penerapan kewirausahaan dalam manajemen dan pengembangan usaha koperasi. Lokasi Penelitian ditentukan secara purposive, yaitu di Koperasi Mitra Tani Parahyangan. Analisis yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, untuk mengetahui gambaran detail dan mendalam tentang penerapan kewirausahaan dalam koperasi Mitra Tani Parahyangan.Jiwa Kewirausahaan menjadi suatu hal yang harus dimiliki oleh pelaku bisnis pertanian (Agribisnis), Sifat dan watak seorang agripreneurship adalah memiliki kemauan keras, berani mengambil risiko, jeli dalam melihat peluang usaha yang memiliki prospek yang cerah, senantiasa memperkuat jaringan usaha, memiliki semangat untuk selalu meningkatkan kualitas produk bagi kepuasan konsumen, memiliki cara pandang positif terhadap suatu keadaan dan memiliki sifat kepemimpinan.Koperasi Mitra Tani Parahyangan memiliki Unit Usaha Otonom Hortikultura, Tanaman Pangan, Simpan Pinjam dan Sarana Produksi. Dalam aspek pelayanannya, koperasi Mitra Tani Parahyangan memberikan pelayanan dalam hal on farm, penyediaan sarana produksi (hulu), Pasca panen dan pemasaran (hilir) dan juga penunjang. ABSTRACTThe purpose of the study was to provide insight to stakeholders about the application of cooperative-preneurship in the cooperative management. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach  with a  case study techniques, to find out the details and in-depth overview of the application of entrepreneurship within the cooperative Mitra Tani Parahyangan .Entrepreneurship becomes a thing to be possessed by agricultural business , The nature and character of a agripreneurship is risk-taking , keen in seeing a business opportunity that has a promising future , constantly strengthen business networks , have a passion for always improve product quality for customer satisfaction , have a positive outlook on the situation and has leadership qualities.Mitra Tani Parahyangan have Horticulture Business Unit, Plant Food , Savings, Loans and means of production . In the services aspect , Mitra Tani Parahyangan providing service in terms of on-farm , providing the means of production ( upstream ) , Post- harvest and marketing ( downstream ) and also supporting .

Abstract

Increased demand for organic vegetables in Indonesia proves that business opportunities of organic vegetables are still wide. However, the number of farmers who cultivate organic vegetables is very limited. This is the basis of thinking about the sustainability of organic vegetable farming practices in Cisarua Subdistrict of West Bandung Regency. This research aimed to analyze the sustainability of organic vegetable farming in Cisarua Subdistrict, in terms of ecological, economic, social, technology and infrastructure, and institutional dimensions. This research was a qualitative research. Respondents in this study were all organic vegetable farmers in Cisarua Subdistrict that required 8 people. The data were analyzed to measure the sustainability status by using multidimensional scaling (MDS) analysis. The results showed that the ecological, economic, technology and infrastructure, and institutional dimensions had sustainable status, while that of the social dimension less sustainable. These results indicate that in the development of organic vegetable farming, farmers need support from agricultural extension institution association, and marketing of agricultural products.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merumuskan alternatif pengintegrasian on farm dengan off farm dalam sistem agribisnis untuk mewujudkan pola pengembangan SRI secara berkelanjutan di Iawa Barat. Melalui wawancara dengan pelaku padi organik di Kab. Ciamis, Kab. Tasikmalaya, dan Kota Sukabumi, serta analisis perbandingan. Diperoleh beberapa temuan; 1) Secara spasial, pilot project SRI masih terkonsentrasi di zona ekologi ]awa Barat bagian selatan. Secara sosial, mayoritas petani belum mengetahui informasi dan teknis SRI. Secara ekonomis, jika input organik diproduksi sendiri, metode SRI lebih menguntungkan dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Secara ekologis, dengan metode SRI, tanah menjadi lebih baik. Secara teknis. SRI dipandang rumit oleh petani, sehingga penerapannya masih berada pada tahap mencoba (trial) kecuali beberapa tokoh tani; 2) sosialisasi SRI berjalan terlalu tergesa-gesa dan orientasi yang bias (pseudo); 3) pengembangannya belum didukung payung hukum atau pemihakan politis; 4) perilaku bertani organic petani yang Iemah, ketergantungan pada metode konvensional, kurangnya motivasi, kurangnya supply pupuk, belum berperannya kelompok tani, belum memadainya tenaga fasilitator, minimnya informasi SRI, dan lemahnya akses jaringan pemasaran padi organik berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan padi SRI; dan 5) strategi untuk mengatasi permasalahan di atas meliputi: memproduksi pupuk organik yang lebih praktis dalam skala besar; menerapkan manajemen rice estate dan corporate farming berbasis kelompok tani; mengintegrasikan metode SRI dengan agribisnis peternakan; menguatkan modal sosial (seperti budaya beternak dan kerjasama); mengintegrasikan pasar padi organik; menggulirkan program rehabilitasi lahan, dan mengembangkan petani-petani SRI yang berusia muda, berpendidikan, dan berwawasan lestari.

Abstract

Mangga gedong gincu (Mangifere indica var.Gedong) banyak diusahakan di Jawa Barat dengansentra produksi Indramayu, Majalengka dan Cirebon. Hasil penelitian lapangan mengungkapkan bahwa manggagedong gincu dari Majalengka dan Cirebon lebih diminati konsumen daripada Gedong gincu dari Indramayu,karena bentuknya lebih bulat, warnanya lebih menarik dan aromanya lebih tajam (Deliana, 2011). Masalahnyaadalah tidak ada jaminan kualitas bahwa mangga tersebut memiliki kematangan tertentu, rasa dan bebas hamaseperti harapan konsumen. Sejak tahun 2005 pedagang besar di Kabupaten Majalengka, Cirebon dan Indramayumencoba menempelkan label pada mangga gedong Gincu, tapi bukan label asal daerah. Label asal daerah hanyadikeluarkan oleh Dinas Pertanian setempat dan hanya digunakan mangga Gedong Gincu pada saat pameranatau sebagai oleh-oleh kepada tamu khusus yang berkunjung ke daerah tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulanJuli sampai dengan September 2013 di Kecamatan Sedonglor Kabupaten Cirebon karena banyak pelaku pasarsudah menggunakan label. Sampel petani diambil secara acak sebanyak 30 orang, 30 konsumen Cirebon dan200 konsumen Bandung. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa produsen dan konsumen mengganggap pentinglabel asal daerah, akan tetapiprodusen maupun konsumen tidak mengetahui bahwa label asal daerah seharusnyamenunjukkan informasi tanggal petik, informasi letak kebun, informasi asal daerah dan sebagai persyaratanuntuk ekspor. Untuk meningkatkan pemasaran mangga, harus ada program yang terintegrasi dan adanya salingketerkaitan antara konsumen, produsen, pelaku pasar, dan penentu kebijakan. Harapannya ke depan, origin labelingdapat dikembangkan menjadi Country of Origin labeling (COOL) dan menjadi titik awal untuk internasionalisasimangga di pasar globalKata kunci : Persepsi, perilaku, produsen, konsumen dan label asal daerah

Abstract

Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga petani adalah dengan meningkatkan nilai tambah produk sayuran organic. Jika harga sayuran organic segar dirasakan kurang menguntungkan, maka dengan pengolahan sayuran organic menjadi aneka jenis makanan seperti nugget sayuran dapat menjadi peluang bisnis baru yang berpotensi meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga petani. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di salah satu lokasi penelitian Hibah Riset Fundamental Unpad (RFU) yaitu di Desa Cibodas Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat, dengan kelompok sasaran Kelompok Tani Mekar Tani Jaya.Peserta kegiatan PKM adalah anggota Kelompok Tani Mekar Tani Jaya sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil kegiatan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan kognitif dan psikomotorik sekitar 90% pada peserta terkait pembuatan nugget sayur serta peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dan psikomotorik sebesar 80%, terkait membangun manajemen bisnis nugget sayur skala rumah tangga agar menguntungkan. Dari hasil kegiatan juga tersusun Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUB) yang diharapkan akan merintis usaha nugget sayur organic di Desa Cibodas, sehingga pendapatan petani diharapkan bisa bertambah.
