Abstract

Sebagian besar guru di level SMP, termasuk di SMP Plus Al-Azhar, kadangkala mengalami kesulitan dalam mengajarkan mata pelajaran ke peserta didik di sekolah, seperti halnya pada mata pelajaran MIPA (Matematika dan IPA) serta bahasa. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan inovasi pembelajaran yang dapat mengaktifkan peserta didik dalam belajar. Salah satu pembelajaran inovatif yang berbasis konstruktivisme adalah guided discovery learning berbasis Actions, Processes, Objects, Schema (APOS). Guided discovery learning berbasis APOS merupakan pembelajaran yang memberikan kesempatan pada peserta didik untuk melakukan upaya coba-coba, penyelidikan, dan menarik kesimpulan dalam rangka menemukan pengetahuan baru. Untuk mengoptimalkan gagasan dan strategi peserta didik dalam menemukan pengetahuan baru, guru memberikan LKS berbasis APOS sebagai bentuk dari ‘guide’ agar proses penemuan menjadi terarah. Kegiatan pelatihan ini sangat berguna bagi guru-guru SMP Plus Al-Azhar karena mereka memperoleh pengetahuan dan wawasan terkait cara implementasi guided discovery learning berbasis APOS beserta aspek psikologinya agar dapat mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif peserta didiknya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan dasar mengajar guru MIPA (keterampilan bertanya, keterampilan mengadakan variasi, dan keterampilan membuka dan menutup pelajaran). Adapun tempat penelitian dilakukan di salah satu sekolah di daerah Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar angket. Adapun hasil analisis yaitu kemampuan mengajar guru dari penguasaan materi diperoleh 76,11%, kemahiran mengajar 79,1%, perilaku guru dalam sehari-hari 92,5 %, dan hubungan sosial antara guru dan siswa 79,1%. Setelah data hasil penelitian dianalisis, ternyata ke empat variabel tersebut mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna dalam 4 kompetensi yang harus dimiliki guru. Sehingga guru harus memiliki kompetensi tersebut agar bisa mengajar dengan baik sesuai profesionalitas guru.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an English textbook “Bahasa Inggris SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Kelas X” from the perspectives of students and teachers. The textbook was prepared by the Indonesian Ministry of National Education for the 10th-grade students and used by some teachers during the 2018-2019 academic year. The evaluation of the concern for the textbook is carried out at the macro level based on eleven parameters. Data was obtained through student questionnaires administered to 94 students and through interviews with four teachers. The data were analyzed and grouped according to 11 criteria used in this study for the evaluation of the particular textbook. The results revealed that both teachers and students felt negative about some of the characteristics of the textbook. It was found that the reading passages needed to be simplified in terms of vocabulary load and that the grammar needed to be presented in detail. The majority of students indicated that the level of the textbook was not appropriate for the particular age group. The teachers pointed out that the tasks and activities were not organized from easy to difficult stages. Also, the listening activities were not supported by audio recordings that should have been included in the textbook. Moreover, the students expected the book to include multiple-choice exercises. It implies that some aspects of the textbook need to be revised, and the audio recordings must be included to support the listening activities. On the other hand, one of the strengths of the textbook was that the activities in the textbook involved opportunities that encourage students’ creativity, interest, and curiosity.Keywords: EFL textbook, textbook evaluation, macro evaluation

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan aspek stilistika dan nilai moral dalam novel Ayah, Aku Rindu karya S. Gegge Mappangewa. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Fokus penelitian ini adalah novel Ayah, Aku Rindu karya S. Gegge Mappangewa. Subfokus yang dikaji adalah stilistika dan nilai moral dalam novel tersebut. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan lima tahapan, yaitu membaca, memberi tanda, mencatat, mendeskripsikan, dan menyimpulkan. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah 1) Terdapat 102 temuan bermajas yang terdiri atas majas perbandingan, penegas, pertentangan, dan sindiran dengan rincian: (a) majas perbandingan dengan 69 temuan; (b) majas penegas dengan 23 temuan; (c) majas pertentangan dengan 9 temuan; (d) majas sindiran dengan 1 temuan. 2) Terdapat 146 temuan yang mengandung nilai moral. Nilai moral tersebut terdiri atas tiga jenis hubungan manusia, yaitu (a) hubungan manusia dengan diri sendiri, yaitu 48 temuan; (b) hubungan manusia dalam lingkup sosial dan lingkungan, yaitu 84 temuan; dan (c) hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, yaitu 14 temuan. Kata Kunci: Novel Ayah, Aku Rindu, Stilistika, Majas, Nilai Moral.

Abstract

Utilization of digital library resources in supporting the writing of scientific papers among teachers of SMK 10 Tangerang is still not practiced. Based on the results of the initial questionnaire, it was found out that the vocational high school teachers did not know much about how to find or utilize electronic library resources to support writing scientific papers. Therefore, this community service activity by UNINDRA aims to improve the knowledge and abilities of teachers in searching, utilizing, and compiling library resources in online databases systematically so that they are able to apply this knowledge in writing scientific papers for publication in journals. The method used is the lecture and question and answer method. It can be concluded that the PKM activities in SMKN 10 Tangerang in providing guidance on writing scientific papers, especially regarding the use of library resources, can be well received and followed by the teachers. For further activities, further complete trainings are needed in the form of writing scientific articles so that teachers are able to write papers for national journals independently with maximum utilization of library resources.

Abstract

Errors and mistakes of language in administering on social media Instagram (psycholinguistic study) Thesis: Jakarta; Postgraduate Faculty; Indonesian language education program; University of Indraprasta Teacher Association of the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to find out the existence of the errors and mistakes of language in giving comments on the social media Instagram and the impact of language errors and mistakes in the comment sections on social media Instagram (a psycholinguistic study). The research method used is an analysis of qualitative-based errors and mistakes in the form of documentation of content analysis techniques. The results show, language comprehension of the background knowledge and the linguistic knowledge is regarding phonology, syntactic, and semantics. Most errors and mistakes are found in the syntactic and semantics fields.Keywords: Language Errors, Language Mistakes, Psycholinguistics, Language Comprehension.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif metode survei yang bertujuan menguji pengaruh minat belajar dan disposisi matematis secara bersama-sama terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika serta menguji pengaruh minat belajar dan disposisi matematis secara parsial terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dengan hasil sampel sebanyak 84 siswa dari populasi sebanyak 534 siswa. Populasi ini diperoleh dari siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri di Kabupaten Kuningan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuesioner dan tes. Pada penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga variabel yaitu minat belajar, disposisi matematis, dan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan SPSS diperoleh nilai kontribusi ganda sebesar 0,684. Artinya, kontribusi X1 dan X2 secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi Y sebesar 68,4%. Sedangkan sisanya yaitu 31,6% Y dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain selain X1 dan X2. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan minat belajar dan disposisi matematis secara bersama-sama terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika; 2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan minat belajar terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika; 3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan disposisi matematis terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika.

Abstract

This activity is a collaboration between the community service team of the University of Indraprasta Graduate School (Unindra) and the Centre for the Development of Educational Competence, Education and Research (P2KPTK2) in West Jakarta. Pkm activities were carried out online through zoom meetings on 1-5 August 2022 and expected to provide insight to low-level elementary school teachers in the work area of P2KPTK2 West Jakarta in terms of the use of innovative learning models in thematic learning in schools. The methods used in this activity are lectures, questions and answers and practice making educational games based on the Internet. After the community service, there is an increase in the value of the post-test results or a change between the lowest, highest, and rare values in general. At the lowest level there is a decrease of 10 points while at the highest there is no increase. The ratio increased by 32.97 points. Generally speaking, the rate of improvement in competence after the community service was 27.45%. The school is expected to provide guidance on the importance of this activity for teachers to improve competence. In addition, teachers should also be aware of the importance of improving themselves through such training to adapt to the demands of the implementation of education in the era of technology as it is now.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how effective the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is. The research method used in this study is the experimental method. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique. The instrument for collecting data in this study is an essay test consisting of 8 items. The data analysis technique used is the t-test, and based on the t-test calculation shows t-count = 10,098 and t-table = 2,002 at the significant level of 5% or (???? = 0,05) and the degree of freedom (dk = 58) which means t-count t table (10,098 2,002) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion is that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students given the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is higher than the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are given an expository approach. And the effectiveness calculation for the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is quite high, which is 2,605. Thus, there is an influence and effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The general objective of this study was to find and analyze empirically the effect of the I Care learning model on the students' metacognition. The method used in this research was the experimental method. The affordable population in this study was grade X students of SMK Assyafiah which is located at Jalan Bukit Duri No.29, South Jakarta 2016/2017 academic year. The sample of the study was 60 students obtained through random sampling method that the researcher mixed in the population so that all subjects were considered the same. Data collection was done by documentation techniques (learning model variables) and test techniques (student metacognition variables). The collected data was then analyzed using the t-test. Before the data was analyzed, first descriptive statistical analysis and data requirements test (normality test, homogeneity test) were carried out. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the I Care learning model on the students' metacognition. In other words, students' metacognition who used the I Care learning model was higher than the students' metacognition who used constructivism learning model.
