Abstract

Clean and Health Behaviour is one of the health promotion program’s priorities made by the government through clinic and become a target of the health management. Tuminting includes of nine sub districts in Manado City. Because no reports are discovered about the description of Clean and Health Behavior on Residents in Region 6 Tuminting Sub-District, the writer is interested to research about this issue. This research is aimed to discover the description of CnHB of Residents on Residents in Region 6 Mahawu District, Tuminting Sub-District including: Medical Team’s involve  on childbirth, exclusive breastfeeding, availability of clean water, usage of clean water and soap on hand washing, availability of health latrine, larvae’s eradication in houses, fruits and vegetables’ daily consume, daily physical activity and not smoking inside the house. This research is a descriptive research with 81 respondents. The data are collected by interview based on questionnaire and presented by using tabulation and percentage. The research shows a great result of CnHB on Residents in Region 6 Mahawu District, Tuminting Sub-District. Around 67% represents good knowledge and 33% for bad knowledge, 75% represents good attitude and 25% for bad attitude, 54% represents good behavior and 46% for bad behavior.Keywords: socioeconomic status, nutritional status. Abstract

The increasing problems as well as life expectancy become a problem that needs to be considered along number of elderly is consistently over time. Elderly Health is directed to maintain and improve the health and ability to remain productive; government efforts to organize health sports of elderly in health centers in order to improve the quality of life optimally. Therefore, the purpose of this study to determine how the challenges and obstacles of Eldery Sport Health programe in Community Health Centers of Manado City.This study using qualitative methods while the informants were the head of health centers and the holder of sport health programs incommunity Health Centers of Manado City.Data collection using in-depth interviews and observational methods. This research showed only founded in four community health centers which priority to implement it, while most of others not yet implemented due to some challenging and obstacles. The conclusion in the face of challenges, health centers must prepare trained personnel comply the aspects of quantity (amount) and quality (ability), provision of funds taken from operational health support if all activity must have the fullest, facilities and infrastructure are prepared to support the implementation of sport health programs; face of barriers, community healt center should socialize with the hope of can improve knowledge of the elderly and their families in the health sport benefits, and the cooperation with community organizations in the implementation of sport healt programs can be together. Abstract

Coroner Heart Diseases (CHD) is one of the main cause of death in many countries, also is the number one cause ofdeath in Indonesia.The high number of CHD in Indonesia goes in line with the high consumption of saturated fattyacid from eating habit. The aim of this research is to picture the eating habit of Minahasa Ethnic, and CHD case atLingkungan 5 Kelurahan Paal 2 Manado. Descriptive research is the method of this research. The population that wasused is all Householders or Housewifes at Lingkungan 5 which are more than 40 years old as much as 355 householders,with 72 householders samples. Result of the research shows 5 kinds of food with the most frequency of beingeaten which are Kangkung Tumis (68,1%), Sayur Pait Ba (25%), Ayam Santan / Kari (20,8%), Brenebon Babi(20,8%), Babi Kecap (19,4), and 5 kinds of food with low frequency of being consumed, which are Paniki (98,6%),Babi Putar (98,6%), Tina’i/Usus Babi (98,6%), Tikus (98,6%), Babi Hutan (98,6%), and 2,8% cases of CHD in Lingkungan5. Conclusion: there were 5 types of frequently consumed food by community in Lingkungan 5 Paal 2 VillageManado City, which were Sayur Kangkung Tumis, Sayur Pait Ba, Ayam Santan/Kari, Brenebon Babi, Babi Kecap, and 5types of rarely consumed food were Paniki, Babi Putar, Tina’i/Usus Babi, Tikus dan Babi Hutan, and history of CHD2.8%, history of CHD in family were 6.9%, history of Diabetes Mellitus 8.3%, and 25% had history of Hypertension,Hyperuricemia, and Dyslipidemia.Keywords: Eating Habits, Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract

Tuberculosis and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are two issues of public health which has become concern inthe world. HIV related stigma is a major barrier to treatment. Many cases of AIDS have been found compered hiv positiveraised the question how is hiv services in manado city. This study aims to determine the correlation betweencharacteristic, knowledge with stigma of health care workers about tuberculosis-human immunodeficiency virus coinfectionsin Manado city. The method of this research is analytical with cross-sectional design was conducted at fiveclinic of Manado city. Ninety seven health care workers were included in this study and they were selected proportion.Bivariat analysis (chi-square) was used to identify the correlations between characteristic, knowledge with stigmatizedattitudes. The result of research indicates that the level of stigmatized attitudes was high. Chi-square testshowed a correlation (p<0,05) between characteristic based on age with stigmatized attitudes, characteristic based onjob with stigmatized attitudes, characteristic based on years of experience with stigmatized attitudes, and knowledgewith stigmatized attitudes. Conclusion: There are a correlation between characteristic based on age, job, years of experienceand knowledge with stigmatized attitudes.Keywords: Characteristic, knowledge, stigma, health care workers, TB-HIV co-infection.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS are the most destructive pandemic in the history, it kills more than 25 million people since found in 1981.At the end of the year 2007, estimated 33,2 (30,6-36,1) million adults and kids lives with HIV world wide. In the earlyof 1981 United States of America reported that this infectious disease spread through out unsafe sexual intercourseand constantly changing in sexual partner. In 1982-1983 they found that this infectious disease transmitted not onlyby unsafe sexual intercourse and constantly changing in sexual partner but also through blood transfusions injectionamong injecting drug users together by IUDs. In North Sulawesi there has been 18 cases and 9 death cases in 1991 to2010. In North Sulawesi there is at least 275 people that are infected with HIV and 483 people that are positive withAIDS. Over all total of people that are infected by this deadly transmitted infectious disease are around 758 people andit could increase over time because of the people’s adapting the Heterosexual behavior which is constantly changingin sexual partner and by using blood transfusions injection among injecting drug users together by IUDs. The mainpurpose of this research is to measure the knowledge level and how the high school students react on preventing theHIV/AIDS spread in Manado International School. This research are using Cross-Sectional method. Sample of this researchare taken in Manado International School grade 10 and 11 of high school stundents. The results of this researchshows that some of the respondent knowledge were good on how to prevent HIV/AIDS with 84 respondent (70%)and some of respondent attitude shows a positive sign on how to prevent this viruses with 77 respondent (64,2%0.The advice that can be given is that the students were able to open their mind on how deadly this HIV/AIDS is so thatthe student could know how to prevent it and hoping that the parents can intervene the student social life to stop thisviruses from spreading.Keywords: Relationships of knowledge, attitude and preventive measures, students, HIV/AIDS

Abstract

Breast milk is the best food in feeding babies at early aged. This is not because Breast Milk contains lots of nutrients butalso breast milk contains immunologic substances that protect the babies from infections. Breast feeding is the idealsource of nutrients for babies because it has a perfect and balanced composition for babies to grow. Breast feeding in developcountries has managed to save over 1,5 millions of babies each year. Based on that number WHO recommendingonly to give breast feeding to infants in the age of 4-6 months. UNICED declare that 30 thousands infants death in Indonesiaand 10 millions death babies world wide each year can be prevented through breast feeding program for around 6months. The purpose of these studies is to know the level of knowledge and jobs and also the support of husbands in givingformula to their infants around the age of 0-6 months in the region of health center in molompar east tombatu. Thisresearch was used Cross-Sectional methods. Samples are taken in Health Center in molompar east tombatu. The result ofthis studies shows that the respondent have a good knowledge on formula feeding and some of the respondent gives apositive feed back about the importance of breast feeding during 6 months. Some respondent with positive feed back innot to give formula to infant are unemployed. Advice that can be given is to give public counseling to society particularlymothers who are pregnant about the importance of breast feeding in infatnts and also to their husbands as well.Keywords: Factors that are associated with formula, feeding in infants aged 0-6 months

Abstract

The coronary heart disease is a disease with the highest death rate yearly in accordance with other diseases in the world.Habitual eating is influenced by cultural factor, tradition, religion and belief. The habitual eating also play a role in theoccurrence process of coronary heart disease. This research was purposed to know the description of the eating habit andits relation with the coronary heart disease risk food of the Minahasa ethnic at North Tomohon Subdistrict Kakaskasen 1Village. The design of research was descriptive study by using survey methods. A hundred and nine were the numbers ofthe patriarchs (KK – Kepala Keluarga) who settled in in Lingkungan 8 of Kakaskasen Village of Tomohon Utara Subdistrict,and the samples were 52 KK. Data was collected using Food Frequency Questionnare (FFQ). The study found 5 Minahasaethnic food which often consumed, namely: Sayur Kangkung Tumis (86,6%), Babi Kecap (65,4%), Sate Babi(65,4%), Brenebon Babi (57,6%), Sup/Kuah Asam Babi (53,8%) and the 5 other types which rare consumed were IkanMas Woku Blanga (100%), Ikan Mas Goreng (100%), Ikan Mas Bakar Rica (100%), RW/Anjing (96,1%), Paniki/Kelelawar(90,4%). No history of the coronary heart disease was obtained on all respondents. On the other hand, this study revealed the history of the coronary heart disease in the family (5,8%), history of hypertension (42,3%), diabetes mellitus (11,5%), dyslipidemia (7,3%), stroke and hyperuricemia (1,9%).Keywords: Habitual Eating, Coronary Heart Disease.

Abstract

Masalah seksualitas pada remaja karena faktor-faktor perubahan-perubahan hormonal yang meningkat hasrat seksualnya.Tingkat perubahan dalam sikap dan perilaku selama masa remajasejajardengantingkatperubahanfisik.Perilaku seks pra nikah nampaknya menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang terbesar dari berbagai kasus kenakalan remaja.Kasus dari tahun-ketahun menunjukkan peningkatan kejadian seks pra nikah di kalangan remaja.Perilaku-perilaku seks yang terjadi tidak diiringi dengan pengetahuan yang memadai pada diri remaja.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran perilaku seks pranikah pada remaja di SMA Negeri 1 Manado.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskritif dengan metode survey.Sampel diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling dengan jumlah 96 responden.Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa pengetahuan remaja sebagian besar dalam kategori sangat baik (60,4%), sikap remaja sebagian besar adalah sangat baik (99%), dantindakansekspranikahremaja sebagian besar baik (82,3%).

Abstract

Tuberkulosis paru adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh mycobacterium tuberculosis dan merupakan masalah kesehatan global dimana jutaan orang setiap tahun terinfeksi. Tuberkulosis merupakan peringkat kedua penyebab kematian di dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kasus tuberkulosis di Kecamatan Tuminting tahun 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode bersifat deskriptif dengan menggunakan data sekunder kasus tuberkulosis dari puskesmas Tuminting. Populasi yang diambil adalah semua penderita dugaan tuberkulosis yang tercatat di puskesmas Tuminting dan sampel yaitu penderita tuberkulosis dengan pemeriksaan BTA (+) yang ditemukan di puskesmas Tuminting.  Hasil penelitian ini disajikan dalam bentuk pemetaan sebaran penderita tuberkulosis dengan menggunakan GIS. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sebaran terbanyak berada di Kelurahan Sindulang I dan terendah berada di Kelurahan Tumumpa II. Terjadi penurunan jumlah kasus tuberkulosis BTA(+) sebanyak 3,25% pada tahun 2013 dibanding tahun 2013.   Kata Kunci : tuberkulosis paru, pemetaan

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TB) ialah suatu penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Sebagian besar kuman TB menyerang paru, tetapi dapat juga mengenai organ tubuh lainnya. Determinan penyakit TB paru adalah kependudukan dan faktor lingkungan. Kependudukan meliputi jenis kelamin, umur. Sedangkan faktor lingkungan meliputi kepadatan hunian. Di Kecamatan Wori kasus TB terbanyak pada terdapat di Desa Wori selama tahun 2012 dan 2014 sebanyak 12 kasus di tahun 2012 dan 5 kasus (Januari - Agustus) di tahun 2014. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor risiko umur, jenis kelamin dan kepadatan hunian dengan kejadian penyakit TB di Desa Wori Kecamatan Wori. Jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan studi deskriptif analitik dengan metode cross sectional. Sampel Penelitian sebanyak 97 responden. Analisis Data dilakukan dengan uji chi square untuk mengetahui deskripsi dan hubungan faktor resiko dengan kejadian tuberculosis paru. Hasil analisis bivariat yang terbukti berhubungan dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru adalah; umur (p = 0,012) dan jenis kelamin  (p = 0,000). Dari keseluruhan hasil penelitian bahwa faktor resiko yang di teliti yang berhubungan dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru adalah umur dan jenis kelamin Kata Kunci: Faktor resiko, TB paru, umur, jenis kelamin.
