Abstract

Background – Stress caused by technology overload in the workplace is one of the main factors leading to workplace stress as well as the demand for continuous improvement in work performance which can eventually lead to feelings of pressure and work overload. Aim - This study is to analyze the impact of Techno-Overload on Work Performance with Work Engagement as an Intervening Variable on MSME Workforce in Semarang City. Design / methodology / approach – The method used in this research is survey methodology and respondents in the SMEs workforce in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. SMEs in the Food & Beverage, Handicrafts, Fashion/Clothing, Retail/Minimarket, Services, and Other sectors were sampled because the workforce requires technostress-related treatment related to the types of disorders in the workforce and organizational losses, such as fatigue, dissatisfaction, anxiety, and decreased productivity. To achieve the objectives of this study, researchers involved 315 workers from 6 sectors and distributed them to SMEs in Semarang City. Findings – The results of this study techno-overload as a technostress variable have a positive relationship to work performance. However, this study shows that work engagement has a significant influence in influencing work performance but the role of work engagement has no influence in mediating technological overload on work performance. This research is to provide an understanding of technostress that has a negative impact on MSMEs so that the workforce is able to take steps to overcome it and theoretically this research can be a benefit for further research. Conclusion - Low techno-overload in SMEs in Semarang City can improve workforce performance. The higher work engagement and the lower techno- overload in the workforce of SMEs in Semarang City can improve workforce performance Research implication – This research is to provide an understanding of technostress that has a negative impact on SMEs so that the workforce is able to take steps to overcome it and theoretically this research can be a benefit for further research. Limitations - This research solely concentrates on one primary stress variable, techno-overload, because this variable significantly affects workers within the research context. There are still many research variables that could be explored regarding the phenomenon of technostress affecting job performance. Another limitation of this study is that the researchers only conducted the study in one city.

Abstract

The implementation of Sustainable Management Accounting (SMA) in developing nations is examined in this paper along with its prospects and obstacles. To achieve long-term sustainability, SMA incorporates social, economic, and environmental factors into business decision-making. SMA adoption in underdeveloped nations is hampered by issues like a lack of funding, a lack of environmental consciousness, and a lack of training and technology. SMA does, however, also have a number of noteworthy advantages, including increased operational effectiveness, better risk management, and higher standing in a global marketplace that is becoming more and more concerned with sustainability. This study examines the challenges and tactics in implementing SMA using a qualitative methodology and case studies of businesses in underdeveloped nations. It is anticipated that the results will help businesses and policymakers create and implement SMA in a way that promotes social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

This community service program, titled "Empowerment of Women in Recycling Inorganic Waste in RT 2, RW 12, Pedurungan Tengah," addresses the urgent need for effective waste management and environmental sustainability. The growing volume of inorganic waste poses significant challenges for local communities, particularly impacting women, who play a vital role in household waste management. The primary objective of this initiative was to empower women by enhancing their skills in recycling inorganic waste while raising awareness about environmental issues. The method employed involved participatory training sessions that included socialization, practical workshops, and group activities focused on recycling techniques. Throughout the program, participants learned to separate, process, and create valuable products from inorganic waste. The results were significant: approximately 80% of the participants demonstrated improved recycling skills and successfully produced marketable items. Additionally, the program fostered a greater sense of community engagement and increased awareness of environmental conservation among residents. In conclusion, this initiative not only empowered women economically but also contributed to a cleaner and more sustainable environment. The program highlights the importance of women as key agents of change in waste management practices, setting a foundation for ongoing environmental initiatives in the community.

Abstract

Purpose: This study will look at how stock prices with non-performing loans (NPL) are affected by Net interest margin (NIM) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR).Methodology/approach: This study uses secondary data from IDX for conventional banks in Indonesia from 2019 to 2023. This study uses the documentation method and analysis tools with the SEM-PLS approach.Results/findings: The results show that NPL is negatively and significantly affected by NIM, but NPL is not significantly affected by LDR, NIM is able to positively and significantly affect stock prices, but stock prices are not significantly affected by LDR. NIM has a positive and significant impact due to the mediating role of NPL. On the other hand, there is no significant impact between LDR and stock price with NPL mediation. Conclusions:Limitations: This study only uses the variables NIM, LDR, NPL and stock prices with a sample of 20 conventional banks listed on the IDX with annual reports for the period 2019 - 2023. Future research should be able to provide additional variables with a larger number to determine the effect on stock prices such as the use of financial ratios ROA, ROE, and external assets. In addition, it is also necessary to increase the number of samples used so that statistics can accurately represent the population such as using additional samples from Islamic banking, regional banking, or other industrial companies.Contribution: Stakeholders can use these results to assess the share price of the banking sector using financial ratios.
