Abstract

Abstract

Purpose — The objective of this research is to investigate the relationship between change readiness and digital innovation within the banking industry. Furthermore, the study aims to examine how this relationship is influenced and moderated by the alignment of digital business strategies.Method — This research employed quantitative methods and utilized a saturated sampling technique to gather data. The sample consisted of 95 respondents and was conducted at all branch offices of PT. Nagari Bank Sumatera Barat. To ensure the validity of the data, convergent validity and discriminant validity tests were performed using the SmartPLS 4.0 program. Hypothesis testing was carried out by conducting t-statistical assessments for each variable in order to address the research hypotheses.Result — We found that there is a positive and significant influence between valence changes and digital innovation. Similarly, we observed a positive and significant impact between contextual factors and digital innovation according to our test results. Additionally, our study revealed a positive and significant association between changes in efficacy and digital innovation. However, our hypothesis which posits that the alignment of digital business strategy (including valence changes, efficacy changes, and contextual factors) moderates the relationship between change readiness and digital innovation was not supported. This suggests that the alignment between business strategy and digital strategy does not strengthen or weaken change readiness for digital innovation.Contribution — This study adds to the body of knowledge by providing new insights into the relationship between change readiness and digital innovation within the banking industry.

Abstract

Abstract

Innovation is one of the most important activities today. Because innovation is often a guarantee for business people to achieve market advantage. Unfortunately, not everyone can innovate well. Even though we implement innovation steps related to the search for new solutions, new products or new technology by investing, we can fail or succeed. This type of research is qualitative using semi-structured interview data collection techniques. The number of MSMEs data studied was 20 MSMEs. The research results show that innovation failure can be caused by several things, lack of innovative ideas, rigid local government regulations, lack of market share, undisciplined workforce, employee behavioral culture, poor product quality, unstrategic location, personality that is not easily influenced, missed customers. Lessons learned from innovation failure can be obtained from family motivation, self-motivation, curiosity, openness to the knowledge among employees, product consistency, modern machine tools, and improving service to consumers. The conclusion of this research is that each type MSMEs has very diverse innovation failures and learning from innovation failures in each MSMEs is also different. In previous research, it only discussed innovation failure, whereas in this research, innovation failure and learning from innovation failure are discussed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of interpersonal conflict and job stress on counterproductive work behavior (CWB), with job dissatisfaction as a mediating variable. The research was conducted among employees of the Perumda Air Minum Office in Padang City, using a probability sampling technique through cluster sampling involving 160 employees. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that both interpersonal conflict and job stress have a positive and significant effect on counterproductive work behavior. Furthermore, job dissatisfaction also has a positive and significant influence on counterproductive work behavior. Job stress is found to have a direct and significant effect on job dissatisfaction, whereas interpersonal conflict does not significantly affect job dissatisfaction. Job dissatisfaction is proven to mediate the relationship between job stress and counterproductive work behavior, but it does not mediate the relationship between interpersonal conflict and counterproductive work behavior. These findings offer important implications for organizations in managing interpersonal conflict and job stress, with the aim of enhancing job satisfaction and minimizing the emergence of counterproductive behaviors in the workplace.

Abstract

This research aims to collect data nationally using a questionnaire based on statements related to the performance factors of the Technology Business Incubator in Indonesia. This research uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the validity and reliability of adapted scales. There are five stages starting with an outer model test to test the validity and reliability of the questionnaire's feasibility. The population in this research are organizations that are affiliated with the Indonesian Business Incubator Association (AIBI) and Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, including business incubators belonging to ministries, local governments, the private sector and universities, there are 182 Technology Business Incubators in Indonesia. Testing in this research looks at whether the questions in the questionnaire are valid or not by going through two stages of convergent validity and discriminant validity. The first stage is convergent validity that aim of finding out the correlation between indicators and their latent variables. The second stage is discriminant validity which aims to find out whether the latent variable has adequate discriminant value and this was done to find out whether the statement items in the questionnaire were reliable and consistent in measuring the same symptoms in respondents. This research looks at the results of convergent validity analysis to consider the results of factor loading indicators on relevant factors, the results of testing the validity of all factors with a value greater than 0.50, one of which is an AVE value of 0.550, indicating that the indicators in these variables have a strong contribution in measuring the desired construct, and the reliability test of all variables is reliable because it exceeds 0.70, one of which is the facility variable which has a value of 0.858.

Abstract
