Abstract

One of the abilities that need to be owned and developed by the students is the ability of understanding mathematics. This research aims to determine the comparison of the students’ understanding mathematical ability results that get a cooperative Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) and traditional learning model. The method used was a quasi-experiment. Population were all of seven grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Garut. Two classes were selected randomly as the sample. One class as an experimental class and the other class as the control class. The research finding indicate that the experimental group learning using cooperative learning type of RTE better with an average increase of the pre-test and post-test of 15.42 to 42.24, while classroom learning control using traditional learning with an average increase of the pre-test and post-test of 14.93 to 32.93. Thus, students are learning with RTE better than students who learning with traditional learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring menggunakan aplikasi Google Classroom tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil nilai siswa pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis pembelajaran matematika berbasis keberanian menggunakan aplikasi Google Classroom pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar di SMPN 1 Bungbulang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu metode analisis deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Bungbulang tahun ajaran 2020/2021 yang berada di Desa Tegallega, Kecamatan Bungbulang Kabupaten Garut yang menemukan satu orang guru dan 5 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, angket terbuka, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang berani menggunakan aplikasi Google Classroom siswa SMP kelas VIII efektif diterapkan, ditunjukkan dengan nilai harian siswa mencapai KKM yang ditetapkan oleh sekolah dengan perolehan rata-rata nilai siswa 67,7 berada pada kategori cukup baik.Online learning using the Google Classroom application has no effect on student grades in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine the analysis of courage-based mathematics learning using the Google Classroom application on the material for Constructing Flat Sided Space at SMPN 1 Bungbulang. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The research method used is the descriptive analysis method. The subjects in this study were teachers and students of class VIII at SMPN 1 Bungbulang for the academic year 2020/2021 located in Tegallega Village, Bungbulang District, Garut Regency who found one teacher and 5 students. Data collection techniques used are interviews, open questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that learning that dared to use the Google Classroom application for SMP class VIII students were effectively implemented, as indicated by the daily scores of students reaching the KKM set by the school with an average student score of 67.7 in the fairly good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil penelitian terdahulu yang menunjukan adanya miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun datar segiempat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bentuk miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun datar segiempat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MTs Negeri 2 Garut yang diikuti oleh siswa kelas VII-E tahun ajaran 2019/2020 sebanyak 31 siswa. Pengambilan sumber data dilakukan secara puposive sampling yang terdiri dari tiga orang siswa, masing-masing siswa berkemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes dalam bentuk uraian dan option (benar-salah) beserta alasannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat tiga jenis miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa, yaitu miskonsepsi klasifiksaional, miskonsepsi teoritikal dan miskonsepsi korelasional. This research is motivated by the results of previous studies which show that there are misconceptions experienced by students in solving quadrilateral problems. The purpose of this study was to analyze the form of misconceptions experienced by junior high school students in solving two-dimentional figure problems of square. This research is qualitative. The research was conducted at MTs Negeri 2 Garut which was attended by 31 students of class VII-E in the 2019/2020 school year. Retrieval of data sources was carried out by purposive sampling consisting of three students, each student with high, medium, and low abilities. The instrument in this study was a test in the form of a description and options (true-false) along with the reasons. The results showed that there were three types of misconceptions experienced by students, namely classify cultural misconceptions, theoretical misconceptions, and correlational misconceptions.

Abstract

Siswa tidak mempunyai keberanian untuk bertanya ketika menemukan masalah yang sulit, karna itu kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sangat penting untuk dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh keterangan lebih lanjut tentang kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelititan ini adalah 4 siswa kelas VII di Pondok Pesantren At-Taufik Ciucing. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kondisi akhir dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, yaitu: indikator pertama sebesar 81,25% artinya sebagian kecil siswa tidak dapat merepresentasikan permasalahan yang dihadapi; indikator kedua sebesar 62,75% artinya sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam hal menjelaskan ide permasalahan secara lisan ataupun tulisan; indikator ketiga sebesar 93,75% artinya hampir semua siswa dapat melukiskan permasalahan pada suatu gambar/diagram; dan indikator keempat sebesar 62,5% artinya sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam hal ini. Students do not dare to ask questions when they find difficult problems, therefore students' mathematical communication skills are very important to have. This study aims to obtain further information about students' mathematical communication skills. The research method used is qualitative research. The subjects of this research were 4 students of class VII at Pondok Pesantren At-Taufik Ciucing. Data collection techniques used are tests, interviews, and observation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study indicate the final conditions of students' mathematical communication skills, namely: the first indicator is 81.25%, meaning that a small number of students cannot represent the problems they face; the second indicator of 62.75% means that most students have difficulty in explaining problem ideas orally or in writing; the third indicator of 93.75% means that almost all students can describe the problem on a picture/diagram; the fourth indicator of 62.5% means that most students have difficulty in this matter.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah yang dihadapi anak di sekolah selama belajar di rumah adalah mengenai pembelajaran matematika yang dilaksanakan secara online. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran dan pengaruh dari peran orang tua terhadap hasil belajar pada pembelajaran online di masa pandemi Covid-19. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP/MTs, orang tua, siswa, dan guru matematika, untuk subjek penelitiannya sebanyak 5 orang siswa, 5 orang tua siswa, dan 1 guru matematika. Jika dilihat dari setiap perannya, orang tua S-1 tidak memenuhi 1 sub indikator maka skor peran orang tua sebagai guru didapat 80%, orang tua S-2 dan S-3 mendapat skor maksimal yaitu 100%, orang tua S-4 tidak memenuhi 2 sub indikator sehingga skornya 60%, orang tua S-5 mendapat skor terendah yaitu 20%, karena hanya memenuhi 1 sub indikator. Peran orang tua sebagai motivator orang tua S-1, S-3, dan S-4 mendapat skor maksimal karena sudah memenuhi seluruh sub indikator, orang tua S-2 dan S-5 mendapat skor yang sama yaitu 70%, karena kurang memenuhi sub indikator. Peran orang tua sebagai fasilitator dan pengarah/director, semua orang tua mendapat skor 100% karena seluruh indikator dipenuhi seluruh orang tua. Karena itu, peran orang tua berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar. One of the problems faced by children at school while studying at home is about learning mathematics which is carried out online. The purpose of this study was to determine the role and influence of the role of parents on learning outcomes in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The population in this study were SMP/MTs students, parents, students, and mathematics teachers. The research subjects were 5 students, 5 students' parents, and 1 mathematics teacher. When viewed from each role, S-1 parents do not meet 1 sub-indicator, the score for the role of parents as teachers is 80%, S-2 and S-3 parents get a maximum score of 100%, S-4 parents do not meet 2 sub-indicators so that the score is 60%, S-5 parents get the lowest score of 20% because they only meet 1 sub-indicator. The role of parents as motivators for S-1, S-3, and S-4 parents got the maximum score because they had fulfilled all the sub-indicators, S-2 and S-5 parents got the same score of 70%, because they did not meet the sub-indicators. indicator. The role of parents as facilitators and directors, all parents scored 100% because all indicators were met by all parents. Therefore, the role of parents affects learning outcomes.

Abstract

The unconsciousness of a teacher in obtaining knowledge due to students can be known if the teacher was notified when he was a student. A student has an essential role in learning, and the teacher is responsible for supporting smooth learning. Students' problem-solving processes need to be found because each student's reasoning and ideas in solving problems are different. This study focuses on students' thinking processes using realistic mathematics education based on emergent modeling. In this study, the researcher is the teacher, and the student is the prospective teacher. The prospective teacher involved were students of the Institut Pendidikan Indonesia mathematics study program. Prospective teachers were selected as research subjects for as many as 74 people (11 males and 63 females) consisting of 3 classes. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. As learning activities progress, students get a kind of model that seems as solutions to solving problems given by the teacher. Various kinds of models emerged from various student ideas and ended with a mutually agreed for a model for. Through this study, a teacher can learn about student models in the learning process.

Abstract

Mathematics education is very important for survival, therefore students are expected to have good mathematical skills and attitudes, one of which is problem-solving ability and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to find out how the mathematical problem-solving ability of students in solving math problems on number pattern material and how the level of mathematical self-efficacy of class VIII students in Karamatwangi Village. The method used by the researcher is a qualitative research method. The sample in this study, namely class VIII B SMP IT Nurul Hidayah in Karamatwangi Village as many as 6 students based on predetermined categories, namely 2 people in the high category, 2 people in the medium category, and 2 people in the low category. The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling technique. The method of collecting problem-solving ability data is by providing several pattern material questions, conducting interviews, and documenting the results of the Final Semester Assessment, while the self-efficacy data collection method is by distributing questionnaires, conducting interviews, and making observations in field notes. The data analysis technique was carried out in several stages which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. From the results of the study, it was shown that the mathematical problem-solving ability of class VIII junior high school students on the material of Number Patterns in Karamatwangi Village was in the high category and the self-efficacy level of class VIII junior high school students was in the high category.

Abstract

Kreativitas merupakan aspek penting yang harus dimiliki siswa. Dengan mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, guru memperoleh wawasan yang luas tentang potensi dan bakat yang dimiliki siswanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa pada materi segi empat dan segitiga berdasarkan disposisi matematis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan 3 subjek siswa kelas VIII di Desa Sindangsari. Pemilihan subjek berdasarkan kemampuan disposisi matematis tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, angket disposisi matematis, dan wawancara. Analisis tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif mengacu pada tiga indikator berpikir kreatif, yaitu fluency, ,flexibility, dan originality. Hasil penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa (1) kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan disposisi matematis tinggi diperoleh tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif (TKBK) 3 yang artinya kreatif; (2) kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan disposisi matematis sedang diperoleh  (TKBK) 1 yang artinya kurang kreatif; (3) kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan disposisi matematis rendah diperoleh  (TKBK) 1 yang artinya kurang kreatif.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis, Disposisi Matematis, Segiempat, Segitiga.Creativity is an important aspect that must be owned by students. By knowing students' creative thinking abilities, teachers gain broad insight about the potential and talents of their students. This study aims to describe students' mathematical creative thinking skills on the material of rectangles and triangles based on mathematical dispositions. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using 3 subjects of class VIII students in Sindangsari Village. Subject selection was based on high, medium, and low mathematical disposition abilities. Data collection techniques used mathematical creative thinking ability tests, mathematical disposition questionnaires, and interviews. The creative thinking ability test analysis refers to three indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility, and originality. The results of this study stated that (1) the creative thinking ability of students with high mathematical disposition obtained a level of creative thinking ability (TKBK) 3 which means creative; (2) the creative thinking ability of students with moderate mathematical disposition is obtained (TKBK) 1 which means less creative; (3) the creative thinking ability of students with low mathematical disposition is obtained (TKBK) 1 which means less creative.Keywords: Mathematical Creative Thinking Ability, Mathematical Disposition, Quadrilateral, Triangle.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there are differences in the increase in mathematical problem solving ability of students who get a cooperative learning model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR) and Reciprocal Learning types. This study was conducted in one of the Junior High School in Garut on pyramid and prism material. The population in the study were students of class VIII, and as many as two classes selected sample. The instrument used is test description of mathematical problem solving ability. This test instrument tests on another class who have studied the material pyramid and prism, the instrument is deemed to have qualified validity, reliability, distinguishing features, and level of difficulty. Data analysis was performed with data normality test, homogeneity test, t test, and test to determine the normalized gain increased ability students' mathematical understanding. From the results of the data analysis performed in this study can be concluded that there are no differences in the ability of solving mathematical students between experimental class one that uses a learning model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR) and experimental class two were using model Reciprocal Learning, which increase the ability of mathematical understanding of students from each class experimental group was included in the criteria Keywords: Mathematical Problem Solving, Discourse Multy Representation, Reciprocal Learning

Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan hal yang penting namun siswa yang menguasai konsep matematika tidak dengan sendirinya pintar dalam mengoneksikan matematika. Koneksi matematis merupakan suatu keterampilan yang harus dibangun dan dipelajari. Kegiatan penyelesaian masalah kontekstual merupakan aktivitas yang membantu siswa untuk dapat mengetahui hubungan berbagai konsep dalam matematika dan mengaplikasikan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pendekatan keterampilan proses pada hakikatnya adalah suatu pengelolaan kegiatan belajar-mengajar yang berfokus pada pelibatan siswa secara aktif dan kreatif dalam proses pemerolehan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi siswa tentang pembelajaran pendekatan keterampilan proses terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam pengajaran matematika pada pokok bahasan Lingkaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Wanaraja dan untuk sampel dipilih satu kelas yang diambil secara acak, yaitu kelas VIII-A. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan instrumen yang terdiri dari tes kemampuan koneksi berupa tes uraian (tes akhir) yang sebelumnya di uji cobakan kepada siswa kelas 1X-A di SMP Negeri 1 Wanaraja dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan korelasi Rank Sperman dan dilanjutkan dengan uji t,dari perhitungan diperoleh Ho ditolak, artinya Ha diterima sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang positif persepsi siswa tentang pembelajaran pendekatan keterampilan proses (PKP) terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Sedangkan untuk analisis kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa secara keseluruhan berinterpretasi baik dan persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses menunjukan interpretasi yang baik pula. Kata kunci: kemampuan koneksi matematis, pendekatan keterampilan proses, persepsi siswa, penelitian eksperimen Mathematical connection ability is an important aspect. However, it is not all students who master mathematical concepts, master to create such mathematical connection. Mathematical connection is an ability that should be emerged and learned. A contextual problem solving activity is an activity that can help students to recognize the connection between concepts in mathematics and to utilize mathematics in everyday life. A process skill based approach is an organizing activity around teaching leraning which focuses on student engagement both actively and creatively in a learning outcome acquisition. This study was conducted in order to get information about the effect of students’ perception on learning activity by using a process skill approach towards students’ ability of mathematical connection on the topic of circle. The frame of study was an experiment. The population of the study were 8th graders of SMP Negeri 1 Wnaraja. The sample was determined randomly, and it was students of VIII-A. The instrument of the study was test of connection ability in form of essay (posttest) which was tested prior to study to students of IX-A of the same school. The questionnaire was another instrument which was used throughout the study. Data analysis was conducted by using Rank Sperman correlation followed by t-test. From the calculation, it was obtained that Ho was rejected, which meant that Ha was accepted simultaneously implying that there was a positive effect on students’ perception about learning activity which used a process skill approach towards students’ mathematical connection ability. On the other hand, based on the analysis, it was shown that students’ mathematical connection ability was generally interpreted ‘good’ as well as the students’ perception on this process skill approeached-learning.
