Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity, readability, and student responses regarding the e-handout on the sub-concept of the human sensory system for 11th grade at SMA/MA. This type of research is a research and development study using the ADDIE model. The research is limited to the Development stage. Data analysis techniques are obtained through validity, readability, and student response tests. The results of the research were developed into an E-Handout. Based on the validity test results, the suitability achieved a percentage of 85,81% (very valid), and the feasibility validation received 87,11% (very valid). The readability test received a percentage of 88,68% (perfect). The student response test obtained a percentage of 89,15% (very good). This research highlights the importance of integrating technology into education and supporting the development of digital competencies among students relevant to the times' demands. The e-handout can enhance students' interest and engagement in learning, given the use of interactive and easily accessible digital learning materials. The conclusion is that the developed E-Handout has several unique characteristics, making it an engaging learning resource. These include a systematic presentation of material supported by clear images and illustrations.

Abstract

21st century education requires educators to improve the quality of learning tools so that students have 4C skills. 21st century learning emphasizes learning using critical thinking skills. Development of an encyclopedia to train students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to describe the validity of the encyclopedia. This research is included in the development research (EDR) category and uses Tessmer formative evaluation research design. The expert subjects were 3 lecturers from the biology education study program at Lambung Mangkurat University. Data from the results of the encyclopedia's content validity, the instrument used is the content validation assessment sheet. The research results showed that the arecaceae family encyclopedia was declared valid

Abstract

21st century education emphasizes the development of essential skills to face the challenges and dynamics of the modern world. One of the most important frameworks in education this century is 4C concept, which includes Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration and Communication. One way to train critical thinking skills is by using teaching materials such as encyclopedia books. This research aims to describe the types of Anura in the Tabanio Coastal Forest Area, the content validity, practicality (content, expectations and actual) and effectiveness (expectation and actual) of the Anura order encyclopedia. Research on encyclopedia development uses the Educational Design Research (EDR) research method with a Tessmer formative evaluation design. The research object is an encyclopedia book. The research subjects were 3 experts as validators, 3 students in individual tests, 4 students in small group tests, and 10 students in field tests. There are 8 species found in the Anura order from 4 families. The validity test results of the encyclopedia book have a valid category based on the assessments of the three validators with an average score of 3.58. It can be said that the Anura order encyclopedia book is suitable as an alternative learning resource for training students' critical thinking skills. Pendidikan abad-21 menekankan pengembangan keterampilan yang esensial untuk menghadapi tantangan dan dinamika dunia modern. Salah satu kerangka kerja yang sangat penting dalam pendidikan abad ini adalah konsep 4C, yang mencakup Critical Thinking (Berpikir Kritis), Creativity (Kreativitas), Collaboration (Kolaborasi), dan Communication (Komunikasi). Melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat dilakukan salah satunya menggunakan bahan ajar seperti buku ensiklopedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis Anura di Kawasan Hutan Pantai Tabanio, validitas isi, kepraktisan (isi, harapan dan aktual) dan keefektifan (harapan dan aktual) ensiklopedia ordo Anura. Penelitian pengembangan ensiklopedia menggunakan metode penelitian Educational Design Research (EDR) dengan desain evaluasi formatif Tessmer. Objek penelitian adalah buku ensiklopedia. Subjek penelitian yakni 3 orang ahli sebagai validator, 3 orang mahasiswa pada uji perorangan, 4 orang mahasiswa pada uji kelompok kecil, dan 10 mahasiswa pada uji lapangan. Ordo Anura yang ditemukan sebanyak 8 spesies dari 4 famili. Hasil uji validitas buku ensiklopedia memiliki kategori valid berdasarkan penilaian dari ketiga validator dengan skor rata-rata 3,58. Hal ini dapat dikatakan bahwa buku ensiklopedia ordo Anura layak sebagai salah satu alternatif sumber belajar untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir krtitis mahasiswa.

Abstract

In the context of 21st-century education, critical thinking skills are becoming one of the four essential skills (4Cs) that students must possess. One method for developing these skills is through the use of appropriate teaching materials, such as encyclopedias. This study aims to examine the content validity of an encyclopedia focused on waterbirds in the Mangrove area ofanio Village as a tool training critical thinking skills in students. This research is limited to the content validation of the encyclopedia and uses the Educational Design Research (EDR) method. research object is the developed encyclopedia, while the research subjects three experts serve as. The validation results show the encyclopedia is included in the valid category with an average score of 3.53, thus it be appropriate as an alternative learning source for training critical thinking skills.

Abstract

One of the learning materials that is arranged alphabetically so that it is easy to use is an encyclopedia book. Encyclopedia development can train students' critical thinking skills in 21st century learning. This study aims to describe the practicality of the encyclopedia of the family euphorbiaceae. The research method used is Tessmer's formative evaluation design. The individual test subjects were 4 students who were taking the phanerogamae course and the small group test subjects were 4 students who were taking the phanerogamae course. Data were obtained from research instruments, practicality, content, and expectations. The results of the study show the practicality of category encyclopedias is excellent based on attractiveness and easy to use by students.

Abstract

Keterampilan 4C yang diperlukan untuk pembelajaran di abad ke-21 adalah berpikir kritis. Salah satu cara untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah melalui penggunaan bahan ajar. Salah satu sumber belajar yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini adalah Buku Ensiklopedia yang dihasilkan melalui penelitian pengembangan. Tujuan penelitian pengembangan adalah menyempurnakan penelitian terdahulu guna meningkatkan kualitas bahan ajar. Penelitian menggunakan desain penilaian formatif Tessmer untuk mendeskripsikan kegunaan Ensiklopedia famili Sapotaceae. Metode yang digunakan yakni penelitian pengembangan (EDR). Sebagai subjek uji lapangan, digunakan lima belas mahasiswa. Fokus penelitian ini adalah ensiklopedia famili Sapotaceae. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, efektivitas buku ini dapat dibagi menjadi dua kategori, yaitu keefektifan aktual dengan kategori sangat baik dan keefektifan harapan dengan kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa buku ensiklopedia keluarga Sapotaceae dari Kebun Raya Banua cocok untuk membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya.

Abstract

This research explores the integration of character education, specifically focusing on drawing inspiration from the abundant cultural wisdom embedded in Mamanda theater—an invaluable cultural asset in South Kalimantan. The central aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of utilizing Mamanda’s theater arts as a catalyst for collaborative character-building within the realm of education. The collaborative characters, symbolic of the harmonious dynamics inherent in the learning process, undergo evaluation through the implementation of a Likert scale. The research encompasses a cohort of 83 students, all actively engaged as respondents. The outcomes highlight the notably high effectiveness of incorporating Mamanda’s theater arts to facilitate the collaborative character-building endeavor. Beyond its immediate findings, this research contributes substantively to the ongoing academic dialogue surrounding character education. Moreover, it serves as a valuable resource for educators and lecturers, offering insights into the practical application of local wisdom, specifically through Mamanda theater, to instill character traits firmly rooted in cultural richness and educational excellence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai validitas, kepraktisan isi, serta kepraktisan harapan dan efektivitas E-LKPD, sekaligus mengevaluasi aspek kelayakan, kemudahan penggunaan, daya tarik, dan kontribusinya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Tingkat keefektifan harapan diukur berdasarkan hasil penerapan E-LKPD dalam pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini, produk dikembangkan dengan menerapkan model 4D yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penerapan pendekatan formative evaluation, mencakup tahapan validasi oleh ahli, uji coba secara individu, dan uji coba terbatas dalam kelompok kecil. Validasi dilakukan oleh dua dosen pembimbing bersama seorang guru pamong. Sementara itu, Uji coba pada tingkat individu dilaksanakan bersama tiga peserta didik, sementara uji coba dalam kelompok kecil dilakukan dengan melibatkan empat peserta didik. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa: (1) E-LKPD memiliki tingkat validitas sekurang-kurangnya tergolong valid (rata-rata valid); (2) isi E-LKPD dinilai cukup menarik dan praktis, dengan kategori sekurang-kurangnya baik (rata-rata baik); (3) aspek kepraktisan harapan dikategorikan sekurang-kurangnya baik (rata-rata baik) berkat kemudahan penggunaannya; dan (4) Keefektifan harapan sekurang-kurangnya tergolong kategori baik (rata-rata baik) jika dilihat dari tanggapan peserta didik terhadap soal yang mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis (KBK). Fokus penilaian E-LKPD berbasis KBK terletak pada keterampilan eksplanasi, dengan capaian sangat baik pada aspek interpretasi dan analisis, serta baik pada keterampilan evaluasi, inferensi, dan eksplanasi.

Abstract

Students' knowledge about plants is crucial. The school environment serves not only as a place containing various types of plants but also as a learning resource. Some plants available in the school environment have the potential for medicinal use as well as aesthetic purposes. The purpose of this activity is to enhance student's knowledge about the utilization of plants in the school environment through educational activities at SDN Kuin Cerucuk V, Banjarmasin. The activity was conducted at SDN Kuin Cerucuk V with 64 students from grades 4, 5, and 6, along with 7 teachers. Besides the importance of conducting education about medicinal plants, similar activities regarding the utilization of medicinal plants in the vicinity of SDN Kuin Cerucuk V, Banjarmasin, have not been conducted before. Based on the service results, it is known that the educational activity on the utilization of plants around the environment shows a positive response and enthusiasm. The educational activities were carried out through lectures in classrooms and using posters as a publication medium. The results of the education show that there was an increase in students' knowledge, with a pre-education average of 10.91 and a post-education average of 89.01. The improvement in knowledge can contribute to teaching and learning activities

Abstract

The 21st century is called the information century for all aspects of life. One of the abilities that 21st century education must have is critical thinking. Statistics on critical thinking abilities of biology students show that these abilities are still lacking. The use of teaching materials is one method for training critical thinking skills. The Encyclopedia Book is an instructional resource created during this project. To improve the quality of a product developed in the form of an encyclopedia, development research is needed. Seven types of plants from the Malvaceae family which are often found in the Banua Botanical Gardens are included in the encyclopedia created. The EDR (Educational Design Research) research method was applied in the study of making this encyclopedia. In terms of developing students' critical thinking skills, the results of the expected effectiveness test are in the good category with a total average score of 76.3%, while actual effectiveness is in the very good category with a total average score of 87.13%. This is suitable for use as a teaching tool both in theory and practice.
