Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media solar system untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa di kelas VI di sekolah YPI Syifaurrahmah yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Develovment (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysys, Design, Develovment, Implementations, Evaluation) yang telah di uji cobakan di lapangan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, respon angket guru dan siswa, dan test hasil hasil pre-test dan post-test berupa uraian yang berjumlah 6 soal.kesimpulan dalam peneliian ini adalah menyatakan bahawa media solar system pada materi tata surya yang dikembangkan dengan model ADDIE dikategorikan sangat valid, sangat praktis, dan dikategorikan sangat efektif sehingga layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran bagi siswa kelas VI YPI Syifaurrahmah Medan.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir ilmiah merupakan kemampuan yang sangat penting dikuasai oleh peserta didik Sekolah Dasar (SD). Berpikir ilmiah merupakan salah satu life skill yang perlu dilatihkan dalam pembelajaran. Berpikir ilmiah dianjurkan dilatihkan dalam pembelajaran, karena pemikiran yang dihubungkan dengan berpikir ilmiah menjadikan proses berpikir lebih teliti dan meluas. Dengan proses berpikir ilmiah, memungkinkan melakukan penelaahan ilmiah dengan baik, teratur dan cermat. Hal ini dikarenakan berpikir ilmiah tidak hanya sekedar proses berpikir secara sistematis dan empiris, tetapi mampu menguasai suatu pengetahuan dan menerapkannya dalam situasi nyata kehidupan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur pengembangan model 4D (fourD), yaitu tahap pendefinisian (Define), tahap perancangan (Design), tahap pengembangan (Develop) dan tahap penyebaran (Disseminate). Kelayakan media pembelajaran telah ditinjau oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan uji coba pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Validasi yang dinilai oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis berpikir ilmiah masuk dalam kriteria yang valid dan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar guru maupun siswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis berpikir ilmiah efektif terhadap pembelajaran IPA pada materi sifat-sifat bunyi. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, diharapkan dapat mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik yang lebih baik dan lebih bagus lagi, selain berbasis berpikir ilmiah LKPD bisa dikembangkan dengan berbasis keterampilan 4C lainnya, seperti kolaborasi, komunikasi, berpikir kritis, inovasi, dll.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the learning outcomes before using the Reading Guide learning strategy in the Islamic Theology and Ethics (Akidah Akhlak) subject on the topic of Asmaul Husna in class 4A of MIN 1 Serdang Bedagai; (2) the learning outcomes after using the Reading Guide strategy in the same subject and class; and (3) the implementation of the Reading Guide strategy in improving students’ learning outcomes. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) involving 27 students from class 4A as the research subjects. The findings indicate that prior to the implementation of the strategy, students’ average score was 58.9%, with only 26% (7 students) achieving the minimum mastery criteria. After applying the Reading Guide strategy in Cycle I, the average score increased to 67.03%, with 59% (16 students) achieving mastery. In Cycle II, the average score further increased to 83.37%, with 100% (27 students) meeting the mastery criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Reading Guide strategy effectively improves students’ learning outcomes in the Islamic Theology and Ethics subject on the topic of Asmaul Husna in class 4A of MIN 1 Serdang Bedagai for the academic year 2022–2023.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a crucial skill that significantly contributes to students’ academic success across various subjects. However, based on initial observations at MIS Miftahul Fallah Diski, it was found that many fifth-grade students still struggle to understand the content of reading materials, particularly in identifying main ideas and answering questions accurately. This study examines the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model on the reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students. The research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an essay test that had been validated, and the data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-test with SPSS version 25. The results showed an improvement in the average score from 43.55 on the pretest to 84 on the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that the CIRC model has a substantial impact on enhancing students’ reading comprehension skills. This study suggests that teachers should consider applying cooperative learning models, such as CIRC, in teaching Indonesian, particularly when focusing on materials that emphasize reading comprehension. Thus, this model can be an effective teaching strategy to create an active, interactive, and collaborative learning environment at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the role playing learning model can improve students’ speaking skills in Indonesian language lessons at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary school) level. Initial observations showed that many fourth-grade students lacked confidence when speaking in public. They often appeared awkward, hesitant, and were not actively engaged in the learning process.The study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. Data were collected before and after the implementation of the role playing model to assess any changes in students’ speaking abilities. All 24 fourth-grade students at MIS Madinatussalam were involved as research participants.Data collection methods included direct speaking tests, documentation, and performance assessments based on specific speaking skill indicators. To analyze the results, an independent sample t-test was conducted using the SPSS software to determine whether there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. The findings revealed that the role playing model had a positive effect on students' speaking skills. This was shown by an increase in the average score from 18.04 (pre-test) to 22.33 (post-test). The significance value of 0.00 indicates that the improvement is statistically significant.Based on these results, it can be concluded that the role playing learning model is effective in improving the speaking skills of fourth-grade students in Indonesian language instruction.

Abstract

The ability to read comprehension is an important skill that must be mastered by elementary school students. This study aims to determine the influence of the PQ4R strategy on the reading comprehension ability of fourth grade MIS Istiqomah Medan students. The research uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The researcher used grade IV students of MIS Istiqomah Medan with 14 students as a research experiment. The instrument used was a reading comprehension essay test. The results showed a significant influence, from the average pretest score of 27.86 to 86.5 in the posttest. The statistical test showed a significance value (2-tailed) with a value of 0.000 which showed a positive influence of the PQ4R strategy. Thus, this strategy has proven to be effective in helping students understand reading more deeply and is suitable for application in Indonesian learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman anak usia sekolah dasar di Desa Perteguhan, Kecamatan Simpang 4, Kabupaten Karo, terhadap tata cara shalat yang sesuai tuntunan. Minimnya media pembelajaran yang menarik dan kontekstual menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan media Pop-Up Book sebagai sarana edukatif diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk mempermudah proses pembelajaran tata cara shalat bagi anak-anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat, khususnya guru TPQ dan orang tua, dalam membuat media Pop-Up Book sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran tata cara shalat bagi anak usia sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan pelatihan partisipatif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahap sosialisasi, pelatihan pembuatan Pop-Up Book, pendampingan, dan evaluasi hasil karya peserta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini mendapat respon positif dari peserta, dengan 85% peserta mampu membuat Pop-Up Book yang sesuai dengan standar yang ditentukan. Media yang dihasilkan dinilai menarik secara visual, mudah dipahami anak, dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran praktik shalat. Peserta juga menyatakan adanya peningkatan motivasi dan pemahaman mereka terkait pentingnya media kreatif dalam pendidikan agama. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pelatihan pembuatan Pop-Up Book terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menghasilkan media pembelajaran tata cara shalat yang edukatif dan menarik bagi anak usia sekolah dasar. Diharapkan program ini dapat dilanjutkan dan dikembangkan sebagai strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pendidikan keagamaan anak di Desa Perteguhan.

Abstract

The research conducted is entitled "EFFORTS TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES THROUGH BUSY BOOK LEARNING MEDIA IN SCIENCE SUBJECTS IN CLASS IV MIN 11 MEDAN CITY" and is based on the phenomenon that student learning outcomes in science subjects are relatively concerning. Students are less interested in science subjects and consider natural and social sciences to be boring, unpleasant subjects, and face-to-face activities in class are limited to listening to lectures and reading. In fact, the curriculum requires that the skills acquired involve higher-order thinking, similar to analysis. Busy Book is a learning tool in the form of an activity book equipped with games, and learning materials in each design to involve students in learning and increase student learning outcomes in science subjects. The research methodology uses a type of classroom action research. The research population was students at MIN 11 Medan City with a sample of 25 students in the group. The aim of the research was to determine whether or not there was an increase in student learning outcomes after using the busy book. Based on research conducted in class IV MIN 11 Medan City, the use of Busybook Media turned out to deliver significant results on student learning outcomes in science subjects. This can be seen through the average score of student learning outcomes using Busybook media, which is 84.4. Meanwhile, the pre-test results before using the busy book showed that the average student received a score of 63.6, which is still below the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria).
