Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, significant transformations are taking place in cultural identity. The digital environment has developed a more malleable and unrestricted setting, allowing individuals to express themselves freely. The relationship between culture and digital technology has changed the dynamics of cultural engagement, creativity, and the dissemination of cultural objects. However, these changes also introduce new obstacles, such as intercultural conflict and dehumanization, which can affect emotions and personal identity. In the realm of digitalization, the formation of cultural identity is influenced by factors such as liberal virtual spaces, the use of communication technologies for storytelling purposes, and communicative transformations and connections. Digital technology also facilitates the process of cultural assimilation between diverse cultures by promoting cross-cultural interactions through digital platforms. Digital media such as films, music and games play an important role in shaping cultural identity, while the maintenance of cultural identity in online communities is ensured through complex interactions between various elements. Many challenges arise in maintaining cultural identity in the digital era, including concerns regarding digital identity security and identity management in an ever-evolving environment. However, digital technology also offers opportunities to improve understanding of cultural identity through digital education and the protection of cultural heritage. In general, the digitalization process has influenced how individuals perceive, communicate, and respect their cultural identity. Although introducing new challenges, digital technologies simultaneously offer the possibility of strengthening and expanding cultural identities in an increasingly interconnected global society.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the representation of capitalist ideology in digital advertising and its impact on shaping consumer lifestyles in society. Employing a qualitative approach with a literature review method, this research analyzes various sources to identify how digital advertisements convey capitalist values through narratives, visuals, and data-driven personalization. The findings reveal that digital advertising not only promotes products but also actively constructs an artificial ideal lifestyle that is materialistic, individualistic, and status-oriented. Social media and algorithms play a significant role in amplifying the psychological effects of advertising, particularly among young generations, leading to excessive consumer culture and potential negative psychological impacts. This study concludes that critical media literacy is a crucial solution for raising awareness and mitigating the adverse effects of digital advertising

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam membentuk nilai karakter pada peserta didik di SMPN 7 Balaesang Tanjung Kabupaten Donggala dan mengetahui hambatan yang didapatkan serta solusi yang diberikan terhadap guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam membentuk nilai karakter pada peserta didik di SMPN 7 Balaesang Tanjung Kabupaten Donggala. Jenis penelitian kualitatif atau penelitian lapangan, terdiri atas lokasi penelitian, kehadiran peneliti, data dan sumber data, teknik pengumpulan data, teknik ananlisis data, dan pengecekan keabsahan data. Penelitian kualitatif yaitu prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan perilaku yang dapat diamati. sehingga peneliti mengumpulkan tiga komponen yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1). Peran guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam membentuk nilai karakter pada peserta didik adalah mengacu pada nilai-nilai dasar yang terdapat dalam agama Islam yang bersumber dari keteladanan Rasulullah Saw berdasarkan sikap dan perilaku sehari-hari beliau, yakni shiddîq (jujur), amânah (dipercaya), tablîgh (menyampaikan dengan transparan), dan fathânah (cerdas) yaitu membentuk karakter religius peserta didik seperti watak, tabiat, akhlak atau kepribadian yang sejalan dengan internalisasi dari berbagai kebijakan yang berlandaskan pada ajaran agama Islam. 2). Hambatannya adalah ketidakmauan peserta didik untuk belajar, kurangnya minat dari peserta didik untuk mengikuti proses pembelajaran yang bersifat pendidikan dan nilai karakter peserta didik hal itu dikarenakan adanya pengaruh secara internal dan eksternal seperti kemalasan, jenuh, bosan dll. Solusinya yaitu guru pendidikan agama Islam berupaya untuk lebih meningkatkan kemampuan secara individual dan berusaha untuk menggunakan berbagai macam metode atau model dalam pembelajaran agar peserta didik bisa memahami materi pembelajaran khususnya tentang pendidikan dalam membentuk nilai karakter pada peserta didik dengan baik.
