Abstract

As a very important figure, a good leader must have a good character and can be a role model for its members. Without a good leader, the institution being led cannot run well either. Good faith and spirituality produce ethical leadership and are able to become a superior and successful leader for anyone, be it in the family, society, government or other institutions. This study shows that faith and spirituality can shape the character of an ethical leader, while without good faith and spirituality, good ethics cannot be formed from a leader. Qualitative study is used accompanied by literature works. Data were collected through some writings ftrom books, articles, etc that discuss related topics. The results show that a leader needs good faith and spirituality not only to govern and provide direction to his subordinates but also to be an example and motivate his subordinates to also have good ethics

Abstract

Accreditation is a form of assessment or evaluation of the quality and feasibility of an institution of a university or department carried out by an independent organization or body outside of higher education. The department is an academic implementing element that carries out professional education and if qualified can carry out academic education for undergraduate programs and/or postgraduate programs, in a section or one branch of science, technology and/or art. In order to maintain its quality, each department must carry out accreditation or reaccreditation continuously. The Pastoral Counseling Department was established in 2007 but until now the accreditation obtained by this department is still in the "Good" category, even to has undergone two form assessments by National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education. The first in 2014 obtained a grade of "C" (rank 3) and the second in 2021 is still in the 3rd rank position, which is "good." This shows that no improvement has been obtained yet. It is hoped that through this research, leaders will be able to design the ideal pastoral department leadership in accordance with standards in increasing the value of National accreditation.

Abstract

Believers, both in the time of Jesus and in today’s context, live in situations shaped by social, political, economic, religious, and cultural influences that often give rise to anxiety and doubt about God’s providence. In Luke 12:22–32, Jesus delivers a teaching that prohibits worry and calls His followers to direct their hearts toward the Kingdom of God. For those living under Roman rule, these words were a source of comfort and encouragement to remain steadfast in their faith in God’s power, and for believers today, the same message continues to be relevant as guidance for managing worry with trust and hope. This study seeks to analyze Luke 12:22–32 from the perspective of the theology of God’s providence and to explain its implications for contemporary Christian life. The findings emphasize three key points: first, the passage affirms God as a sovereign, loving Father who cares deeply for His people; second, God’s providence includes both physical and spiritual needs, thus framing faith as an active trust that combines prayer, hope, and concrete action; and third, reflection on God’s providence strengthens believers to face modern anxieties by prioritizing the Kingdom of God, practicing spiritual discipline, and embodying solidarity with others. Although limited in scope as a textual study without cultural or empirical application, this research contributes significantly to understanding God’s providence in Luke 12:22–32 and underlines its relevance for addressing contemporary challenges while encouraging Christians to live out their faith in tangible ways.

Abstract

This writing tries to analyze the influence of kedai tuak toward the presence of congregation members, especially males in church. It begins with a study of the concrete reality of the church dan how the common response of the father according to it. And how the church does evaluation and reflection of the church, by doing persuasive action for serving the laity, not by giving a negative stigma. This research is qualitative with Sociology of Religion perspective. The expectation, the transformation for changing of preaching method will get.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interpersonal communication and academic supervision of school supervisors on teacher performance partially and simultaneously. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method. The population of the study was all junior high school teachers in Parlilitan District, totaling 104 people with a sample of 104 people. The questionnaire trial was conducted on 30 teachers outside the research sample, and has been tested with validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression tests. The results of the study showed: 1). There is an effect of interpersonal communication on teacher performance of 48.9%, with rx1y of 0.671 in a positive direction, in a strong interpretation. 2). There is a positive effect of interpersonal communication and academic supervision of school supervisors simultaneously on teacher performance of 56.6%, the multiple correlation coefficient of R = 0.752 is in a strong interpretation, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a positive effect between interpersonal communication and academic supervision of school supervisors on the performance of junior high school teachers in Parlilitan District partially and simultaneously because it has been tested empirically. The results of this study recommend to related elements that in order to improve teacher performance, interpersonal communication between school principals and academic supervision .

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Work Motivation and Work Discipline on Performance partially or simultaneously, with the hypothesis that there is a positive effect of Work Motivation and Work Discipline on the Performance of Elementary School Teachers in Cluster 1 and 2 in Onan Ganjang District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method. The population of the study was all teachers of Elementary Schools in Cluster 1 and 2 in Onan Ganjang District, totaling 63 people with a sample of 63 people. The research instrument was a closed questionnaire, which was compiled by the researcher based on the research variable indicators. The questionnaire trial was conducted on 30 teachers outside the research sample, and has been tested with validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique was with multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study recommend to teachers that in order to improve teacher performance, Work Motivation and Work Discipline must continue to be improved.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar pemuridan sebagai upaya pembentukan spritualitas pemuda-pemudi di GMI Ressort Laguboti, mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan bahan ajar pemuridan sebagai upaya pembentukan spritualitas pemuda-pemudi di GMI Ressort Laguboti. Metode penelitian dalam tulisan ini adalah dengan pendekatan campuran (Mixed Method). Dari hasil penelitian, Penelitian dan pengembangan Bahan Penelaahan Alkitab untuk pemuda Kristen di Gereja Methodist Indonesia Resort Laguboti menghasilkan produk yang efektif dalam membangun spiritualitas mereka, menggunakan model delapan langkah pengembangan dari Sugiyono. Validasi desain bahan penelaahan alkitab menunjukkan kelayakan tinggi dengan persentase 93,86%, dan analisis oleh ahli materi serta desain masing-masing mencatat 96,18% dan 91,85%. Uji coba lapangan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam nilai rata-rata post-test dari 78,56 menjadi 87,94, mengindikasikan bahwa bahan ajar ini sangat efektif untuk tujuan tersebut

Abstract

Gereja sebagai lembaga rohani memiliki peran sentral dalam membimbing dan memelihara umatnya. Pelayanan gereja yang relevan dan efektif sangat penting untuk mendukung pertumbuhan jemaat dan gereja. Gereja Protestan Persekutuan (GPP) sebagai bagian sejarah keKristenan, menghadapi tantangan. peluang dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pelayanannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi pelayanan Nommensen saat ini, mengindefikasi tantangan dan kebutuhan serta merumuskan strategi yang dapat mendorong pertumbuhan gereja yang berkelanjutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara,obsevasi dan dokumen. Penelitian ini melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan gereja, termasuk Pendeta, Guru Jemaat, Penatua dan anggota jemaat. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada kebutuhan untuk melakukan pembaharuan dalam berbagai aspek pelayanan, termasuk penguatan kepemimpinan gereja, peningkatan kualitas ibadah dan penyusaian program pelayanan dengan kebutuhan tri tugas panggilan gereja (Koinonia, diakonia, marturia).

Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang memengaruhi keberhasilan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Penerapan model pembelajaran yang tepat dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan dan semangat belajar siswa di kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap motivasi belajar Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan Budi Pekerti kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Pangaribuan Tahun Pembelajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen (Quasy Experimental Design) dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pangaribuan Tahun Pembelajaran 2025/2026 yang berjumlah 188 siswa beragama Kristen Protestan dari 6 kelas. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu kelas VIII-4 sebanyak 32 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-3 sebanyak 32 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket sebanyak 20 item. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji beda rata-rata (N-Gain Score) dan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata N-Gain Score kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,8278 yang berada pada kategori tinggi, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,2081 yang berada pada kategori rendah. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa nilai t_hitung = 15,257 lebih besar dari t_tabel = 2,000 pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dengan derajat kebebasan 62. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap motivasi belajar Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan Budi Pekerti siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pangaribuan Tahun Pembelajaran 2025/2026, sehingga hipotesis penelitian diterima dan H0 ditolak.
