Abstract

Pengambilan sampel dilakukan Purposive random sampling.

Abstract

Diseases that can cause very high economic losses are viruses and one of them is Betanodavirus or commonly called Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN). VNN is a disease registered by The Office International des Epizooties (OIE) and is a major problem in marine fishery production in the world. This virus is able to infect fish from larva size to consumption size in a short period of time to reach death with a frequency of 80% to 100%. The disease can infect barramundi and is spread throughout the Riau Islands. This study used a live fish sampling method showing VNN signs and freshly dead fish. The research samples were obtained from several cities and districts in the Riau Islands Province, including Batam City, Bintan Regency, and Tanjung Balai Karimun Regency, the sample selection was based on clinical symptoms and fish mortality. Then the samples were necropsied for eye and brain organs, then amplified using primers targeting the RNA 2 gene. The results showed that VNN had been detected in the Riau Islands Province, i.e. Batam City, Bintan Regency, and Tanjung Balai Karimun Regency.

Abstract

The increase in the volume of vehicular traffic leads to faster damage to road pavements. The use of additives in asphalt mixtures is believed to improve the properties of the mixture so as to increase resistance to damage. This research aims to develop an asphalt mixture by utilizing plastic waste as an additive. The plastic waste used is a type of Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP). The test was carried out by varying the content of plastic additives in the asphalt mixture by 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10% to the weight of asphalt. The asphalt mixture is tested for marshall characteristics, indirect tensile strength test, durability test, and wheel tracking test. Test results show the addition of plastic additives up to 8% increases stability, strength, durability, and resistance to deformation of asphalt mixtures. The improved performance of the mixture is thought to be due to the interaction between plastic and asphalt which results in a stronger bond. This research proves that the use of plastic waste as an additive material can be a solution to improve road pavement performance.

Abstract

Traditional games are a symbol of knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation and have various functions or messages behind them, where in principle the games can be played by anyone who is interested, both children and adults. This research aims to determine the effect of the traditional game of squirrel hunter on the sprint speed of extracurricular students at SMPN Muara Bungo. This study is an experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design with a population of 25 students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling of 15 students. The study was conducted in the field of SMPN 3 Muara Bungo and the MTQ Sarunai Baru track, carried out for 16 meetings, in the form of a sprint speed test. The data analysis technique used in this study was the normality, homogenitas, and hypothesis test using SPSS 22. Based on the research results, it was found that there was an influence of the traditional squirrel hunter game on sprint running. If ρ <0.05 then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Based on the results of the t-test analysis of sprint running speed in extracurricular students of SMPN 3 Muara Bungo with the traditional squirrel hunter game, the value of ρ (0.000) <0.05 showed that there was an influence of the traditional squirrel hunter game on sprint running speed. While the t-test value (9.865) .<ttable (2.144). from the results of the t-test value, it can be explained that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, meaning that the results show that there is a significant influence in the traditional squirrel hunter game on sprint running speed.

Abstract

Strenuous physical activity or ball sports can increase oxygen consumption in the body 10-20 times and 100-200 times in muscles. Increased use of oxygen due to increased activity can increase the production of radicals that can affect the performance of muscle activity marked by a decrease in hemoglobin (Hb). The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of effectiveness of vitamin C and caffeine on hemoglobin levels in maximal physical activity (muscle fatigue). The type of research conducted is quasi-experimental research. Sample testing was carried out at the Talang Pantai Soccer Field and hemoglobin levels were tested at Puskesmas 2 Muara Bungo. This study measured hemoglobin levels before and after consuming 90 mg of vitamin C and 90 mg of caffeine after playing soccer for 45 minutes. The data obtained in the form of hemoglobin levels were analyzed statistically by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with a test level of 5%. The results showed that there was an effect of hemoglobin between the control group and the treatment group. This is evidenced by the value of Fh= 6.795 with a sig value of 0.13, the alternating hypothesis (H1) is accepted if the sig value is <0.05 because the sig value is 0.13> 0.05, so that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, meaning that there is an effect of caffeine administration on hemoglobin between the groups before caffeine administration and after caffeine administration. Meanwhile, the vitamin C test showed that there was an effect of hemoglobin between the control group and the treatment group. This is evidenced by the value of Fh= 0.029 with a sig value of 0.97, the alternating hypothesis (H1) is accepted if the sig value is <0.05 because the sig value is 0.97> 0.05 so the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, meaning that there is an effect of vitamin C administration. on hemoglobin between groups before administration of caffeine and after administration of vitamin C.
