Abstract

Daerah penelitian terletak di daerah panas bumi Gunung Rendingan, Kabupaten Tanggamus, Provinsi Lampung. Daerah penelitian dipengaruhi oleh Sesar Semangko, mempunyai pola sesar berarah Barat Laut -Tenggara dan Timur Laut – Barat Daya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui himpunan mineral alterasi berdasarkan analisis petrografi dan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Analisis petrografi digunakan untuk mengetahui mineral alterasi sebagai indikator temperatur dan fluida hidrothermal di daerah penelitian. Analisis XRD dilakukan untuk mengindentifikasi jenis mineral lempung. Berdasarkan analisis petrografi dan XRD pada batuan permukaan di daerah penelitian menghadirkan mineral kelompok lempung yang terdiri dari smektit, ilit, serisit dan kaolinit. Hasil analisis petrografi dan XRD terhadap serbuk bor (cutting) dari sumur  XD-1, XD-2 dan XD-3 memperlihatkan  himpunan mineral alterasi hidrotermal smektit-kaolinit-serisit dan ilit-epidot pada sumur XD-1, himpunan mineral serisit-smektit, smektit-ilit dan  ilit-epidot pada sumur XD-2, himpunan mineral smektit-kaolinit dan ilit-smektit-epidot pada sumur XD-3. Berdasarkan himpunan mineral alterasi tersebut dapat diperkirakan temperatur bawah permukaan di daerah penelitian berkisar 150°-300°C pada kedalaman 700 – 1900 mKu sebagai zona reservoir. Kehadiran mineral kalk-silikat yaitu epidot bersama wairaikit dan prehnit sebagai indikator zona reservoir memiliki temperatur yang baik. Batuan di daerah penelitian memiliki permeabilitas yang baik dengan kehadiran mineral adularia.

Abstract

The Binuang area and its surroundings are genetically structural landforms which characterized by cuesta ridge line with curve lineaments pattern on northeast-southwest direction. Geomorphological approach were carried out to determine structural geometry of geological surface using qualitative and quantitative approach on multiple map analysis of remote sensing data. The result of quantitative analysis on elevation data are used to classify heights, slope shape and steepness, lineaments, drainage, and slope aspect. Optical images were classified to determine lithological pattern and boundaries through analysis of band ratios, decorrelation stretch, principal component, and spatial enhancement. The research area are classified into eight class of structural landforms, depicting deformations that occured in western flank of Meratus Mountains. The surface pattern indicates the influence of compressional stress, shown by fold belt with longitudinal characteristic and fault-bounded anticlines on northeast-southwest axis. The formation of main structure pattern on research area was compared with that on strike-slip fault analog model. The resulting correlation factor, R=0.932, shows that both of them are highly correlated. In conclusion, surface structure can possibly form another variation of thrusted mountain belt, such as thrust-dominated restraining bends.Keywords: landsat, SRTM, morphostructure, morphometry, rhomboidal pattern, Meratus.

Abstract

Cisadane Watershed is one of the most rapidly growing areas and infrastructure development, and has developed as a residential, industrial, administrative centers and other economic activities. The purpose of this paper is to use remote sensing satellite imageries to identify the morphotectonic characteristics of the Cisadane watershed both qualitatively and quantitatively. Processing stereomodel, stereoplotting and stereocompilation on TerraSAR-X Digital Surface Model (DSM) and SPOT 6 imageries, produced the  Digital Terrain Model (DTM) image, which has not been affected by land cover. Fusion of the DTM  and Landsat 8 RGB 567+8 images  is used to interpret the distribution of lithology, geomorphological units, and lineaments, which are an indication of geological structures. The morphotectonic characteristics of sub-watersheds qualitatively was carried out a bifurcation ratio calculation (Rb) which indicates tectonic deformation. Based on the analysis of satellite images both qualitatively and quantitatively, the morphotectonic characteristics of the upstream, middle and downstream Cisadane Watershed have been deformed.Keywords : satellite images, morphotectonic, DSM, DTM, Cisadane Watershed.

Abstract

It has a big potential of geothermal resource in line with a unique graben like bowl landform and geothermal surface manifestations. This research was carried out using remote sensing and field observation methods. The remote sensing method used topography and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission -Digital Elevation Model (SRTM-DEM) maps to analyze morphotectonic attributes, and the result was validated by morphotectonic data analysis from field observation. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the relation between morphotectonic and the appearances of geothermal surface manifestations. The interpretation of SRTM-DEM and topographic maps are supported by morphotectonic analyses,which indicate that the geothermal surface manifestations in this area are controlled by tectonic activity. It has various levels of lift which are shown by the values of valley height weight ratio (Vf) from 0.16 to 3.31 and the values of mountain front sinuosity (Smf) from 1.05 to 2.09. The morphotectonic characteristics can describe the geological structure activity levels which are reflected in the landform and its rock. The volcanic areas consist of igneous rocks which have small primary permeabilities. However, the development of geological structure can cause fractures in the rock that step in as a medium for passing geothermal fluid from depth to surface. They are found on the fault intersection zone system trending NE-SW and NW-SE, NNE-SSW and NNW-SSE, and WE system directions that indicate the fault system is correlated with the appearances of geothermal manifestations.

Abstract

Bintan Island is a part of Riau Islands Province. On this island, the capital city is Tanjungpinang. The compliance of public facilities such as landfill waste is a priority in this city. Landfill design that suitable in this area is a sanitary landfill system. The soil layer uses to cover the waste in this landfill system. The closure did gradually avoid the disruption of waste processing. The type of soil for its landfill cover has to be able to control the leachate. It controlled by the permeability of the soil. The methods used in this study are the analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of soil. Rock and soil samples are obtained systematically through trenching. Sampling-based on changes in physical properties of soil that reflect its mechanical properties. A probabilistic approach used to solve the problems and to get accurate results. The geomorphology of the study area divided into four units. They are very flat terrain, flat terrain, slightly steep hills, and steep hills. The sample used for the study is undisturbed soil. Analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of soil shows the types of soil, such as SW, GM, MH-OH, and CH. However, MH is the most dominant type of soil. Each of the soil types represents a certain degree of weathering. The degree of weathering in the study area varies from the III degree to VI degrees. Rocks are weathering form clay mineral, which compiles the soil. Clay mineral in the soil layer is varied from quartz, illite, kaolinite, gibbsite, goethite, and hematite—the impact of the swelling of clay. The swelling of clay in the study area ranged from low to high. The properties and composition of the soil are affected by the permeability value.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat aktivitas tektonik DAS (Daerah Aliran Sungai) Manggur Gadang berdasarkan analisis morfometri yang berupa rasio perbandingan lebar dasar lembah dengan tinggi lembah (Vfw), indeks gradien sungai (SL), asimetri sungai (AF), sinusitas muka gunung (Smf) dan kerapatan sungai (dd).(2) untuk mengetahui hubungan kekar dengan segmen sungai, dan (3) untuk mengetahui hubungan longsor yang disebabkan oleh peristiwa gempa bumi dengan aktivitas tektonik. Aspek-aspek geomorfik seperti dimensi dan bentuk DAS dianalisis menggunakan morfometri untuk mengidentifikasi keaktifan tektonik wilayah penelitian. Azimuth segmen sungai dan struktur geologi berupa data kekar dan kelurusan azimuth mahkota longsor yang terjadi di lokasi penelitian dikumpulkan sebagai sampel yang selanjutnya dilakukan uji statistik untuk mengetahui hubungan antarvariabel tersebut.Hasil uji statistik yang dilakukan pada variabel diatas menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara segmen sungai dengan kekar dan azimuth mahkota longsor yang terjadi. Analisis morfometri juga menunjukkan adanya aktivitas tektonik dengan tingkat yang paling tinggi berada pada DAS Manggur Kecil, sedang pada DAS Manggur Gadang, dan rendah pada DAS Naras. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diatas diketahui bahwa wilayah penelitian memiliki tingkat aktivitas tektonik aktif.Kata kunci: aktivitas tektonik, longsor, morfometriABSTRACTThis study aims(1)toidentify the level of tectonic activity based on morphometry analysis; ratio of valley floor width to valley height ( Vfw ), stream gradient index ( SL ), asymmetry factors ( AF ), sinuosity of mountain front ( Smf ), drainage density ( Dd). (2) to know the relation between rock joint with river segments, and (3)to determine the relation of landslides caused by earthquakes with tectonic activity. Geomorphic aspects such as the dimensions and shape of the watershed were analyzed by using morphometry to identify the tectonic activity level of the studied area. The river segment azimuths and geological structures such as joint and azimuth of crown landslide lineament that occurred at the studied site were collected as a sample of whichthen statistical tests were performedto determine the relation between these variables.The results of the statistical test that were performed on the variables above show that there is a relation between the river segment with joint and landslide crown azimuth that occurred. Morphometric analysis also shows the presence of tectonic activity with the highest levels on the watershed of ManggurKecil, medium on the watershed of Manggur Gadang, and low on the watershed of Naras. Based on the results of study above it is known that the studied area has an active tectonic activity level.Keywords : tectonic activity, landslide,morphometry

Abstract

Tembok sisi luar waduk pada rancangan fase Darurat tanggul laut NCICD merupakan rencana pengamanan kawasan DKI Jakarta dari banjir ROB. Banjir yang terjadi merupakan rangkaian dari besarnya curah hujan di bagian hulu dan naiknnya muka air laut di bagian hilir. Diantara penyebab tersebut juga terdapat fenomena land subsidence yang memberi dampak terhadap banjir. Tanggul sisi luar tersebut masih memiliki beberapa alternatif jensi tanggul yang akan dibangun, diantaranya adalah tembok laut, sheet pile, spun pile bahkan timbunan tanah biasa. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai kemungkinan tanggul timbunan untuk pengamanan banjir Ketersediaan data untuk perhitungan adalah tiga buah titik sondir di sekitar kawasan muara Kalibaru. Dari data tersebut, didapatkan parameter masing masing litologi sehingga analisis dapat dilanjutkan menjadi analisis rembesan dan stabilitas. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut, dapat juga diprediksi mengenai bahaya piping atau erosi buluh di dasar timbunan. Bahaya piping di dasar tanggul terjadi pada material pasir pada saat ketinggian muka air laut existing dan saat ketinggian muka air laut bertambah dua meter tanpa menggunakan sheet pile. Berdasarkan korelasi tiga titik lokasi data sondir di daerah penelitian terhadap Grafik Robertson 1990 didapatkan lima lapisan tanah berturut-turut dari atas ke bawah adalah: lempung lanauan, pasir lanauan, lanau pasiran, pasir lanauan, dan pasir.

Abstract

Desa Cisewu berada di Kabupaten Garut bagian selatan. Wilayah ini merupakan bentangalam perbukitan yang tersusun oleh material vulkanik berumur Kuarter. Struktur geologi  berupa kekar dan sesar di kawasan tersebut menambah risiko lahan bersifat labil. Oleh karena itu wajar jika kawasan tersebut rawan gerakan tanah. Populasi penduduk berkembang pesat mengingat wilayah ini strategis. Apalagi wilayah Cisewu merupakan penghubung, antara Jawa Barat bagian tengah dan selatan. Sebagian masyarakat Desa Cisewu telah berulang kali mengalami kerugian akibat bencana longsor. Relokasi warga hampir sulit dilakukan, mengingat budaya masyarakat setempat yang sulit meninggalkan tanah leluhur. Masyarakat Desa Cisewu perlu diberdayakan agar mampu berdikari serta tanggap terhadap darurat bencana gerakan tanah. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dapat dilakukan dengan cara memberikan berbagai pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan metode yang mudah dipahami. Pemahaman wilayah yang labil bisa disisipkan pada berbagai kegiatan dalam rangka pemberdayaan masyarakat. Sosialisasi beragam fenomena alam terkait kebencanaan perlu dilakukan dengan bahasa yang sederhana dan sesuai dengan tingkat pendidikan masyarakat setempat. Di sisi lain, masalah konservasi kawasan rawan bahaya alam juga perlu disosialisasikan. Target masyarakat dapat dikelompokkan berdasarkan usia dan latar belakang pendidikan. Pengembangan usaha berbasis potensi lokal perlu mendapat perhatian khusus. Potensi lokal ini perlu mendapat pendampingan untuk dapat bersaing dengan produk unggulan di daerah lainnya.

Abstract

Upper Citarik River is the Inter Mountainous Valley of Volcanic Denudational Landform in the eastern part of Bandung basin, West-Java. The research area compounds of several degraded small catchments with very low water flow in dry season. This research aims  to understand the implications of morphometric characteristics (Slope, Cr, Dd, Hi) on average river flow discharge of small sub-catchments of Upper Citarik River. Discharge data collected based on measurements, while catchments morphometric identified and analyzed based on topographic map using GIS techniques.  Correlation graphs were used to understand the relationship among the morphometric parameter and the average river flow discharges. The result were as follow  the steeper the slope, the more elongated the shape of catchment, the more distant was the river density,  meaning the more younger the erosion cycle of the landform.  The younger the erosion cycle of the landform, the smaller was the average river discharge per areal unit of catchments.
