Abstract

The performance of high school teachers (SMA) is very important in education, several factors that influence emotional intelligence from the teacher itself. On this occasion the independent variable was emotional self-awareness, self-confidence, emotional self control, while the dependent variable was teacher performance. Research data retrieve using a questionnaire, to measure how much influence emotional intelligence has on teacher performance. Data is processed using the SPPS program. The results of the analysis show that two variables of emotional intelligence have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance while self-confidence has a positive and not significant effect on teacher performance. Furthermore, the adjusted R square is obtained at 65.0%, influenced by these three factors, 35% is the contribution of other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the variables of distributive justice, transformational leadership, training & development, and perceived organisational support affect employee engagement. This research was conducted using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 500 respondents. The distribution of the questionnaires was carried out in two ways, namely, online via WhatsApp and manually, namely by visiting respondents. The sample of this research is employees who work in manufacturing companies in several industrial areas in Batam city. The industrial areas in question are the Batamindo industrial area, the Executive Batam Center industrial area, the Taiwan Kabil industrial area, and the Bintang industrial area in Tanjung Uncang. The technique used in this research is purposive sampling, which is a technique to determine the sample by using a special selection method to be used for processing properly. The results that have been collected from respondents, the data will be processed using SPSS software. This study indicates that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, training & development has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, distributive justice has no effect on employee engagement, and perceptions of organisational support have no effect on employee engagement

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze effective work from home on the leadership, competency, training, and technology to employee performance. The design used is hypothesis testing using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS). The population and respondents in this study was manufacturing employee. The results of the study show that the leadership has no significant effect on employee performance with significant = 0.360 and competency has significant affect to employee performance with significant value = 0,036 results on training has significant effect on employee performance with significant 0,005, and technology also has significant effect on employee performance with value of significant is 0,000. The results show that between leadership, competency, training, and technology as together influence employee performance with significant 0,000. Based on result for adjustedR square can be explain  at 51,7% is influenced by the four variables (Leadership, Competency, Training, and Technology) to employee performance, the other 48.3% is the contribution of other variables not included in this research. According results testing in this research training, facility and technology significant impact on employee performance. Next research model can be explain with mediating variabel to make sure and increase adjustedR square results for example variabel the role of organizational commitment in organizational structure, organizational strategy and management during Covid 19 new era.

Abstract

Analisis pengaruh Green Intellectual Capital, Green Training serta Green Recruitment and Selection dalam konsep paperless terhadap Sustainable Performance ini dilakukan pada karyawan Bank BPR yang ada di Kota Batam dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada sejumlah 301 orang karyawan yang ada didapatkan. Green Human Capital, Green Structural Capital, Green Relational Capital, Green Training serta Green Recruitment and Selection sebagai variabel independen dan Sustainable Performance sebagai variabel dependen. Dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh hubungan antara variabel. Diperoleh hasil angka signifikansi pada Green Human Capital adalah 0,425, angka signifikansi pada Green Structural Capital adalah 0,818, angka signifikansi Green Relational Capital adalah 0,195, angka signifikansi pada Green Training adalah 0,000, serta angka signifikansi pada Green Recruitment and Selection adalah 0,000. Maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Green Intellectual Capital tidak mempengaruhi Sustainable Performance secara signifikan sedangkan Green Training dan Green Recruitment and Selection mampu mempengaruhi Sustainable Performance secara signifikan

Abstract

Sistem pembelajaran pada sekolah disaat ini sudah mulai bergeser kearah pembelajaran digital, di mana murid-murid tidak hanya belajar sepenuhnya melalui buku, namun juga mencari referensi di internet dan salah satu bentuk bahan pelajarannya berupa video. Terlebih saat ini dimana pandemic covid-19 yang masih belum berakhir dan mengakibatkan para pelajar sulit untuk meminjam buku dari perpustakaan. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan data yang diperoleh melalui proses ekstraksi dan konstruksi ulang data-data mengenai pemahaman siswa mengenai siklus perusahaan dagang di wilayah SMA Ananda Batam, kegiatan Sepora ini bertujuan untuk membantu para siswa dalam kegiatan akademis, dimana tim penulis membuat metode media pembelajaran ekonomi melalui video sehingga para pelajar lebih mudah memahami materi tersebut. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menunjang prestasi akademis dan kegiatan belajar dan mengajar dalam sekolah SMA Ananda Batam. Selanjutnya diharapkan agar kegiatan ini dapat lebih dikembangkan di mata pelajaran lainnya sehingga pelajar dapat termotivasi belajarnya tidak hanya media buku melainkan juga dari media video

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kesadaran masyarkat dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Pengabdian masyarkat ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga Agustus 2022 pada masyarkat RW 021 (Perumahan Regata Batam Center, Oriana Batam Center dan The Monde Residence) yang berada dikawasan Batam Center. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kebersihan lingkungan sekitar mereka dan hal tersebut juga dilakukan agar terhindar dari berbagai macam penyakit. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan akan pentingnya kebersihan lingkungan, serta aksi seminar dan pemberian video edukasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Setelah pengabdian kepada masyarakat selesai, tingkat kepedulian dan kesadaran sebagian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan sekitar mulai mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari lapangan perumahan menjadi lebih bersih dari sampah plastik

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan zaman yang menyebabkan kasus bullying dan hate speech yang menyebar dimana saja melalui virtual atau secara langsung sehingga munculnya dampak buruk bagi korban. Kasus bullying dan hate speech banyak terjadi di lingkungan sekolah. Pada saat ini kegiatan mengambil tempat di SMA Negeri 3 Batam yang merupakan salah satu sekolah favorit di Kota Batam. Hasil observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner terhadap murid SMAN 3 Batam terdapat kasus kecil bullying dan hate speech yang kurang dianggap serius bagi murid. Kondisi ini diperburuk dengan pemikiran murid yang kurang mementingkan perasaan, dampak, dan pemahaman mengenai bullying dan hate speech. Universitas Internasional Batam melakukan kegiatan Society Empowerment Program 2022 melalui tim yang terdiri dari dosen dan mahsiswa melaksanakan kegiatan antisipasi bullying dan hate speech pada SMAN 3 Batam. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan pembagian video edukasi melalui media sosial, kegiatan kedua berupa pembagian buku saku yang berisi materi bullying dan hate speech, penjelasan materi, contoh kasus nyata dalam kehidupan, dan diakhiri dengan kuis untuk mengukur pemahaman murid mengenai nilai penting bullying dan hate speech. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan agar murid menjadi lebih paham faktor penyebab, dampak serius yang dialami oleh korban serta membuka pemikiran murid menjadi lebih luas. Hasil dari implementasi kegiatan menunjukkan 80% murid menjadi lebih tahu mengenai tindakan yang termasuk bullying dan hate speech serta lebih berhati-hati dalam melakukan tindakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the variables of innovation, strategic planning, and motivation on organizational performance. The respondents in this study amounted to 397 respondents consisting of employees of the manufacturing industry in the city of Batam. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires to respondents via Google form. Analysis of the data in this study using SPSS to see the effect of innovation, strategic planning, motivation on organizational performance. In this study, data analysis will be carried out to test descriptive data, test data quality, test outliers, test classical assumptions and test hypotheses. Based on the results of the research for the three hypotheses, the following results obtained, the innovation variable on organizational performance has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance with a significant 0.036 less than 0.05. Furthermore, the strategic planning variable was not proven in this study to have a positive and significant effect on organizational performance, as indicated by a significance value greater than 0.005, with a Sig value of 0.833. The third hypothesis or motivation variable has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance with a sig value (0.000) less than 0.005.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning and development, career management, talent attraction, talent development, talent retention and employee recognition on employee performance. This research is motivated by the decrease in the number of tourist visits that occurred due to the pandemic which had an impact on the ups and downs of employee performance at 4-star hotels in Batam City. This study uses a population of 4-star hotels in Batam City with samples of employees who work at Pacific Palace, Traveloge (Novotel), Planet Holiday and Swiss-Belhotel hotels. This study uses quantitative methods and non-probability sampling techniques through a purposive sampling method involving 285 respondents. The results showed that learning and development, career management, talent interest, talent development, talent retention, and employee recognition have a significant positive influence on employee performance.Keywords:learning and development, career management, talent attraction, talent development, talent retention, employee recognition, employee performance
