Abstract

Human resources is one of the most important asset to be maintained in a company. Human resource management is important to organize, maintain, maximize and sort existing human resources. In the world of human resources, employee retention is an important thing to keep. This study uses a qualitative method with a research sample of manufacturing employees in the Tunas Bizpark Batam area. Questionnaires were distributed via google form with a total of 350 respondents. The variables used in this study are the independent variables of compensation, training and development, mediation of job satisfaction and dependent employee retention. The results of this study found that compensation, training and development have a positive effect on employee retention and job satisfaction. While job satisfaction has a negative result on employee retention. Compensation, training and development are not significant to employee retention by mediating job satisfaction. Sumber daya manusia merupakan salah satu aset perusahaan yang penting untuk dijaga. Manajemen sumber daya manusia berfungsi untuk mengatur, menjaga, memaksimalkan serta menyortir sumber daya manusia yang ada. Dalam dunia sumber daya manusia, retensi karyawan merupakan hal penting untuk dijaga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan sampel penelitian karyawan manufaktur di Kawasan Tunas Bizpark Batam. Kuisioner disebarkan melalui google form dengan total 350 responden. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah variabel independent kompensasi, pelatihan dan pengembangan, mediasi kepuasan kerja dan dependen retensi karyawan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kompensasi, pelatihan dan pengembangan berpengaruh positif terhadap retensi karyawan dan kepuasan kerja. Sedangkan kepuasan kerja memiliki hasil negatif terhadap retensi karyawan. Kompensasi, pelatihan dan pengembangan tidak signifikan terhadap retensi karyawan dengan mediasi kepuasan kerja.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the significant influence between transformational leadership on employee performance and employee engagement as a mediating variable for employees of Certain Functional Officers Immigration Analyst under the Provincial Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Kepulauan Riau. This research is a quantitative study using primary data. The population in the study amounted to 216 employees, with total sample of 163 employees who filled out a questionnaire measured by using Likert scale. To answer the research hypothesis formulation, the results of data collection were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method and assisted by SmartPLS 3.0 software. Based on the results of the analysis using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method, it was found that two components of transformational leadership, namely idealized influence and inspirational motivation, have a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance, while the other two components intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration have no effect. And when the four components of transformational leadership (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration) are mediated by the employee engagement variable, there is a strengthening of the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance.

Abstract

Jambi Province has great potential in pursuing horticultural production such as chili, not only to meet people's needs, but also opportunities for inter-regional trade and export. This study aims to 1) to get an overview of the supply chain and value chain of horticultural product commodities in Jambi Province; 2) To determine the position of Jambi Province horticultural product commodities for inter-regional trade purposes (Jambi and Batam); 3) To formulate a trading strategy for horticultural commodities for Jambi and Riau Islands (Batam Island). This study uses a qualitative descriptive method and uses a SWOT analysis. The results showed that the horticultural value chain is divided into 2 activities, namely the main activity consisting of incoming logistiks (horticultural raw material input), operations (horticultural production process into semi-finished materials), logistiks (output), and horticultural marketing. Second, supporting activities consisting of horticultural production infrastructure, HR development, technology development, and marketing and sales. The right strategy to use is a progressive strategy, meaning that the internal conditions of the chili commodity in Jambi Province are at a developing and progressing stage.

Abstract

The research aims to study the factor that affects an individual in choosing a major of study to career satisfaction mediated by a career path in Batam city. This research uses the variable of parental support, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation as the independent variable, career path as the mediation variable and career satisfaction as the dependent variable. The study uses the purposive sampling method. Two hundred fifty respondents in this research are residents of Batam. The data were processed using Partial Least Square (PLS) Software. The results of this study show that the process of choosing a major of study influence career satisfaction. Variables of parental support and intrinsic and extrinsic motivation significantly influence the career path. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation substantially affect the career satisfaction mediated by career path, except for the parental support variable. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation significantly influence career satisfaction, except for the parental support variable. Career path as the mediation variable significantly influences career satisfaction.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze effective work from home on the leadership, competency, training, and technology to employee performance. The design used is hypothesis testing using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS). The population and respondents in this study was manufacturing employee. The results of the study show that the leadership has no significant effect on employee performance with significant = 0.360 and competency has significant affect to employee performance with significant value = 0,036 results on training has significant effect on employee performance with significant 0,005, and technology also has significant effect on employee performance with value of significant is 0,000. The results show that between leadership, competency, training, and technology as together influence employee performance with significant 0,000. Based on result for adjustedR square can be explain  at 51,7% is influenced by the four variables (Leadership, Competency, Training, and Technology) to employee performance, the other 48.3% is the contribution of other variables not included in this research. According results testing in this research training, facility and technology significant impact on employee performance. Next research model can be explain with mediating variabel to make sure and increase adjustedR square results for example variabel the role of organizational commitment in organizational structure, organizational strategy and management during Covid 19 new era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh manajemen bakat, motivasi, dan kepemimpinan etis terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan komitmen karyawan sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap karyawan perusahaan pada bidang industri tekstil di kota Batam dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 295 orang. Metode penelitian adalah metode kuantitatif dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah SEM dengan menggunakan program SmartPLS 3.0. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode purposive sampling yang dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh manajemen bakat, motivasi, dan kepemimpinan etis terhadap kinerja karyawan terbukti signifikan. Manajemen bakat dan kepemimpinan etis yang dimediasi oleh komitmen karyawan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, sedangkan motivasi yang dimediasi oleh komitmen karyawan terhadap kinerja karyawan menunjukkan hasil tidak signifikan.

Abstract

This research to find out what factors can affect employee performance. The independent variables in this research consist of motivation, work environment, leadership, teamwork and work discipline, and the dependent variable is employee performance. This study used 147 questionnaires, only 143 questionnaires that could be used as research samples. The questionnaires obtained were processed with SPSS to test the research on respondents who work as teachers at Elementary School in Tanjungpinang Barat. The results of the study show that employee motivation, leadership and work discipline have a significant positive effect on employee performance. However, the work environment and teamwork have no significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Turnover Intention yang mengalami kenaikan merupakan masalah yang patut diperhatikan karena berpengaruh terhadap situasi sebuah perusahaan. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti dampak dari Kompensasi, Pelatihan dan pengembangan, Pemberdayaan karyawan terhadap Turnover Intention dengan Kepuasan kerja sebagai mediasi. Objek penelitian tertuju pada 274 karyawan hotel berbintang di Kota Batam dan data primer diperoleh dari kuesioner melalui google form dan menggunakan PLS-SEM untuk menguji hasil dan memeriksa hipotesis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Pelatihan dan pengembangan beserta Pemberdayaan karyawan berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap Turnover intention dengan Kepuasan karir sebagai mediasi. Penulis menyarankan agar penelitian selanjutnya dapat menambah variabel lain untuk hasil yang maksimal.

Abstract

My Indothai Spa & Massage was formed in 1999 by Gideon Septianto Hidayat, the owner. My Indothai Spa & Massage is domiciled at Komp Penuin Center Blok K No 2-3-4, Batu Selicin, Kec. Lubuk Baja, Batam City. This business is engaged in services, which offers various types of massage and spa services for body relaxation. The purpose of this practical work is to assist MSMEs in preparing and forming forms for employees. The scope of this project is to design or develop a performance management system (HR) at My Indothai Spa & Massage as a source of information, recording and assessment of human resources. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observation. The result is the creation of organizational structures, attendance forms, leave forms, permit forms, training & development forms, attendance forms, performance appraisal forms, skills matrix and forms for filling in data regarding human resources using MS Excel.

Abstract

UD Uni Timber menggunakan jasa pihak ketiga untuk membuat laporan keuangannya selama 19 tahun berdiri. Hal tersebut dapat mengakibatkan kerugian jika ada kecurangan atau kesalahan dari pihak ketiga dan tidak ada pihak perusahaan yang bertanggung jawab atas hal itu karena karyawan tidak mengerti bagaimana format laporan keuangan yang sesungguhnya. Oleh karena itu penulis melakukan pelatihan cara membuat laporan keuangan dengan benar untuk membantu mengembangkan kompetensi staff keuangan. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan melaksanakan pre-test untuk mengukur kemampuan staf keuangan kemudian dilakukan penjelasan dan simulasi praktik pembuatan laporan keuangan dan proses akuntansi dari suatu kasus mulai dari pencatatan sampai dengan penyusunan laporan keuangan. Hasil dari pelatihan adalah hasil post test yang dapat diisi oleh staf keuangan setelah pelatihan sehingga dapat membuktikan bahwa staff keuangan telah memahami pengetahuan dasar tentang cara untuk membuat laporan keuangan. Untuk PkM selanjutnya, direkomendasikan untuk membuat jadwal yang efektif untuk semua peserta dan dibutuhkan bantuan yang berlanjut untuk memastikan manajemen keuangan dan prosedur akuntansi dapat dilaksanakan dengan benar.
