Abstract

A hotel is a building with rooms that are rented out as a place to stay, event venue and place to eat. Batam has a fairly good hotel population because it directly borders Singapore. One of the hotels in Batam is the AP Premier Hotel, this hotel has four star status in Batam. The problem with this hotel is that the attendance system is often problematic, disrupting payroll at the end of the month. With these problems, the author proposes to create a manual attendance which aims to assist HRD in making payroll at the end of each month, using a direct implementation method. The results obtained from this activity are in the form of softcopy and hardcopy in the form of manual attendance which will be carried out at the hotel.

Abstract

Olsera Indonesia Pratama, which has the Olsera brand, is a startup company that operates in the point of sales sector. The Point of Sales system is an innovative system that makes it easier for people to carry out business transactions. PT Olsera is a technology-based company. This company is called technology-based because it uses a system supported by cloud storage. Olsera sells a system to help MSMEs in Indonesia but does not use it in the company's own operational activities. Olsera has a lot of work done manually. such as sales recording which is only done using Excel. If done manually continuously, work effectiveness will decrease and a lot of time will be wasted. This internship activity was carried out to assist Olsera's finance team in carrying out recording using a point of sales system so that the work carried out could be more effective and efficient. This internship activity is carried out by means of observation and interviews. The results of implementing the use of the system are that the finance team's activities become more efficient and effective, reducing company expenses, more effective financial control and faster financial reporting.

The instruments used to measure re-spondents’answer is a 5 point Likert scale, where I mean “strongly disagree” and 5 means “strongly agree”. And data were processed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) application. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach, using quantitative data analysis techniques. The work satisfaction plays an important role in mediating the effect of work environment, reward system and management support on achievement motiva-tion. Therefore, companies should try to increase work satisfac-tion by creating a positive work environment, implementing a competitive reward system scheme and providing adequate man-agement support. Abstract

Human resources are an important asset for companies, especially in the manufacturing sector. The manufacturing industry in Batam City contributed 56.83% to the Regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2023, significantly impacting unemployment rate by ab-sorbing a large-scale workforce with various skill levels. This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation, job satisfaction, and leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in Batam’s manufacturing industry. A quantitative approach was used in this study, collecting data from employees through ques-tionnaires distributed via Google Forms from October 2023 to March 2024, with a sample size of 410 respondents. The data was analyzed using Smart PLS 3.2.9 software. The result showed that motivation did not significantly influence OCB, while job satisfac-tion and leadership had a significant influence on OCB. Motiva-tion was also found to have a significant influence on job satisfac-tion and leadership. Indirectly, motivation affects OCB through job satisfaction and leadership. Management in Batam’s manufac-turing industry should focus on improving job satisfaction and leadership quality to enhance OCB, considering strategies such as incentives, career development, opportunities, and a supportive work environment. Future research should expand its scope to various industries and locations to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the factors affecting OCB.

The result of analysis shows that leader emotional intelligence exert a direct, significant, and positive influence on trust in supervisors. Additionally with trust in supervisors included as a mediator, transformational leadership demonstrate a positive influence on job performance. Although the results indicate that transactional leadership and leader emotional intelligence has no direct, significant and positive impact on job performance, trust in supervisors that was influenced by a leader's approach to leadership will empower and boost employee's morale, and indirectly have a positive influence on job performance. Overall, the research underscores the importance of cultivating the right style of leadership, emotional intelligence, and trust in supervisors relationships to foster better employee outcomes in the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

The research aimed to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction and work engagement in the relationships between polychronicity, job performance, and turnover intention among employees in Batam’s manufacturing industry. While polychronicity had been widely studied in service sectors, its impact within the structured, efficiency-driven manufacturing environment remained underexplored. The research filled this gap by examining how polychronicity influenced job outcomes in a sector that prioritized operational consistency and productivity. The research collected data from 350 manufacturing employees using a quantitative approach and purposive sampling. Then, data were analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS version 3.2.9 software. The findings reveal that polychronicity significantly influences job satisfaction, turnover intention, and work engagement but does not have a significant direct effect on job performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction and work engagement positively impact job performance, although they do not significantly affect turnover intention. The research also highlights the mediating roles of work engagement and job satisfaction between polychronicity and both job performance and turnover intention. However, work engagement does not mediate the relationship between polychronicity and turnover intention. These insights contribute to a nuanced understanding of how multitasking capabilities shape work outcomes under the unique pressures of manufacturing, emphasizing that demographic factors like gender, age, and marital status may further influence the effects of polychronicity
