Abstract

This study aims to examine, analyze, and empirically demonstrate the influence of Competence (X1), Workload (X2), and Discipline (X3) on Work Performance (Y) in Kepulauan Riau Province Government with Motivation (Z) as a mediating variable. The sample size consisted of 317 employees in the Kepulauan Riau Province Government. The results of this study indicate that there is a direct influence of Competence on Work Performance, but it does not have a significant influence on Motivation. Workload does not have a significant influence on Work Performance but has a significant influence on Motivation. Discipline has a significant influence on Work Performance and has a significant influence on Motivation. Meanwhile, Motivation has a significant influence on Work Performance. Motivation cannot mediate between Competence and Work Performance. The indirect influence of Motivation cannot mediate between Competence and Work Performance. Motivation can mediate between Workload and Work Performance. Motivation can mediate between Discipline and Work Performance. This study is expected to provide an appropriate workload, increase motivation and work discipline, and continue to develop employee competencies that will have a positive impact on improving employee performance.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of gender discrimination, inadequate administrative support, and hostility among employees on the subpar job performance of distributor companies in Batam City. According to BPS data, there are 2,153 distributor companies in Batam City, employing a total of 259,749 employees. The sample of this study was obtained from 382 respondents working in distributor companies who filled out questionnaires online via Google Forms. The processed data came from 365 respondents, with 54.25 percent of the respondents being male. This study uses quantitative data analysis techniques and descriptive quantitative research. The data was collected using survey techniques or questionnaires and processed using Partial Least Square (PLS). Results of this study showed that Gender Discrimination and Lack of Administrative to Person-Related Hostility have a positive and significant effect (H1) and (H2). Gender Discrimination, Lack of Administrative Support, and Person-related hostility to Poor Job Performance have a positive and significant effect (H3), (H4), and (H5). Then, Gender Discrimination and Lack of Administrative Support have a significant indirect impact on Poor job performance and are mediated by person-related hostility (H6) & (H7). So, this study consists of 7 hypotheses, directly from H1 to H5 and indirectly from H6 to H7.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji, menganalisis, dan membuktikan secara empiris pengaruh lingkungan kerja, gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan budaya organisasi terhadap kepuasan kerja dan implikasinya terhadap kinerja PNS di Lingkungan Pemerintah Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan pemecahan persoalan teoritis. Berdasarkan karakteristik masalah, penelitian ini dapat dikategorikan sebagai penelitian kausal komparatif (causal-comparative research) dan penelitian deskriptif (descriptive research).  Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah PNS di Lingkungan Pemerintah Provinsi Kepulauan Riau, dengan target populasi yakni seluruh PNS selain tenaga pendidik yang berjumlah 2843 orang. Sampel yang akan digunakan adalah sebanyak 386 PNS yang bekerja di Lingkungan Pemerintah Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Besar sampel ditentukan menggunakan perhitungan Slovin melalui sample size calculator dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%, margin of error 5%, dan proporsi populasi 50%. Kuesioner itu akan dikonversikan ke google form untuk mempermudah penelitian. Jenis kuesioner yang digunakan bersifat tertutup sehingga responden hanya tinggal memilih jawaban secara langsung. Selanjutnya, data yang telah terkumpul akan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan aplikasi Smart PLS 4.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh langsung lingkungan kerja dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja. Gaya kepemimpinan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sementara itu, gaya kepemimpinan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Kepuasan kerja tidak dapat memediasi terhadap lingkungan kerja dengan kinerja pegawai. Kepuasan kerja dapat berperan sebagai variabel mediasi antara gaya kepemimpinan dan kinerja pegawai. Kepuasan kerja dapat menjadi variabel mediasi antara budaya organisasi dan kinerja pegawai. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi untuk penetapan gaya kepemimpinan yang tepat, peningkatan kepuasan kerja, dan lingkungan kerja, serta budaya organisasi pegawai yang pada akhirnya akan berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

Secara global kolaborasi antara pemimpin dan pegawai sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Tujuan organisasi dapat tercapai dengan kinerja pegawai yang efektif. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui bagaimana gaya kepemimpinan seorang pemimpin, dan motivasi berhubungan terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan kenyamanan lingkungan kerja sebagai variabel mediasi. Uji data akan dilakukan menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS 3.0. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 2800 orang Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) dengan sampel data sebanyak 358 orang responden Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) di lingkungan Pemerintah Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Kenyamanan Lingkungan Kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai. Motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai. Gaya Kepemimpinan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kenyamanan Lingkungan Kerja. Sementara itu, kenyamanan lingkungan kerja tidak dapat memediasi antara pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai begitupun dengan Motivasi terhadap Kinerja Pegawai.

Abstract

Before the progress of the times and technology that was increasingly developing and rapidly as well as intense business competition, experts highlighted the important role of performance in organizations to improve the sustainability of life based on the promotion of leadership styles. This research aims to provide additional information on companies operating in the distributor sector in implementing leadership styles to improve organizational performance. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this study was 261 workers in the distributor industry in Batam City. All research has met the criteria for validity and reliability. The results of the research state that Innovative leadership significantly affects both organizational performance and organizational identification, but not when organizational identification acts as a mediating factor. Second, organizational performance and identification are not significantly impacted by transformational leadership. The same holds if organizational identity acts as a mediator. It was discovered that organizational identity significantly affects organizational performance and that strategic leadership styles do not significantly affect organizational performance. Thus, it can be said that while leadership style has a significant impact on organizational performance, not all leadership philosophies are appropriate for usage in a given setting.

Abstract

The hotel industry is a work environment where activities are increasingly complex. Rapid world changes and globalization have caused major problems in today's commercial environment, especially in the hospitality industry including the provision and maintenance of superior guest services, labor scarcity, and retention of the best employees. This study examines the role of compensation as a moderating variable to test how polychronicity and job satisfaction influence employee engagement in the hospitality business. Purposive sampling and procedure were employed in the survey method data collection for the quantitive investigation. The study involved 422 hotel employees in Batam. Using Smart-PLS 3 tools, the data was processed and analyzed using the structural equation modeling PLS technique. With the challenges of globalization and growing operational complexity, it is crucial to understand how these factors can impact employee performance and retention in the hospitality sector, which is why this research attempts to provide a thorough understanding of this relationship. The study found that: job satisfaction positively and significantly mediated the relationship between polycrhonicity and employee engagement; polychronicity positively and significantly affected employee engagement; and job satisfaction positively and significantly affected job satisfaction.

Abstract

Laporan keuangan ialah suatu informasi yang menjabarkan kondisi keuangan suatu perusahaan. Dengan demikian, laporan keuangan bisa dikatakan selaku instrumen penting untuk memperoleh informasi baik mengenai kondisi keuangan suatu perusahaan maupun hasil usaha yang dicapai oleh perusahaan untuk mencapai tujuan. Toko Sembako Rita, fokus penelitian ini membuat laporan keuangan penjualan, pembelian, operasional dan laba rugi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilaksanakan melalui cara mencari juga menyusun data, menjabarkan data kedalam laporan keuangan yang akan dibuat. Hasil implementasi pembuatan laporan keuangan dimana pemilik mitra dapat dengan mudah menyusun laporan keuangan kedalam microsoft excel. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan ini, mitra dapat melakukan pembukuan secara sederhana dan dapat menyimpan transaksi pendapatan dan pengeluaran.

Abstract

Proses rekrutmen dan seleksi pegawai pada suatu perusahaan sangatlah penting untuk menarik pegawai yang memenuhi kualifikasi yang dibutuhkan. PT Hansway Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri pelayaran. Laporan Kerja Praktik dalam hal ini disusun dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui status pelaksanaan proses rekrutmen dan seleksi karyawan di PT Hansway Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT Hansway Indonesia selama 4 bulan di bagian sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui smetode wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil Implementasi proses rekrutmen dan seleksi karyawan di PT Hansway Indonesia yaitu pembuatan skema/bagan untuk menggambarkan proses rekrutmen secara rinci, selanjutnya membantu perusahaan dalam mempromosikan lowongan pekerjaan melalui media sosial, setelahnya, perancangan formulir khusus yang akan diberikan kepada mitra untuk memberikan umpan balik terhadap calon karyawan yang sedang menjalani tahap seleksi dan rekrutmen. Kesimpulan menunjukan bahwa dengan menerapkan ini, pada saat proses rekrutmen dan seleksi karyawan perusahaan lebih efektif, efisien waktu dan terarah.

Abstract

Proses rekrutmen merupakan serangkaian aktivitas mencari dan memikat pelamar kerja dengan motivasi, kemampuan, keahlian dan pengetahuan yang diperlukan guna menyimpan kekurangan yang identifikasi dalam perencanaan kepegawaian. Proses rekrutmen terdapat tahap monitoring calon kandidat.fokus pada pnelitian ini membuat rancangan untuk mencapai calon AXI yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan dengan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilaksanakan melalui cara mencari data yang diperlukan, dan menjadikannya dalam sebuah data yang dapat digunakan. Hasil implementasi pembuatan rancangan yaitu dimana mitra dapat memonitoring calon AXI dengan mudah dan cepat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu mitra dapat memecahkan kendala yang dihadapi dengan rancangan yang telah dibuat.

Abstract

This research aims to study the relationship between organizational reputation, occupational prestige, and HRM practices on turnover intention. In addition, this study also examines the mediating role of work-life balance and the moderating role of job opportunity in the research variables. This research falls into the category of quantitative research that adopts a purposive sampling method with a PLS-SEM data analysis technique. This study reveals that organizational reputation, HRM practices, work-life balance, and job opportunity significantly affect turnover intention. Similarly, organizational reputation and HRM practices significantly affect work-life balance. Notably, work-life balance serves as a mediator in the relationship between HRM practices and turnover intention. The population of this research is human resources of the selected corporations domiciled in the city of Batam, while the sample of this research is 435 employees. The study's findings provide recommendations for a thorough retention strategy and an all-encompassing model of turnover intention within selected corporations. It also identifies novel factors in the selected corporations in Batam City, in which organizational reputation has a significant negative effect on work-life balance. These insights can aid HR professionals, policymakers, and management in crafting an effective strategic recruitment and retention plan.
