Abstract

This study focuses on the influence of an animated video on students' ability to write explanation text. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the animated video used can help students improve their explanation text writing skills and see the differences in students' abilities before and after using animated videos in Indonesian language learning. The subjects in this study came from 20 students of class VII A at MTs Pasundan Cimahi, and the objects in this study were obtained from the results of the pre-test and post-test of students in writing explanation texts before and after using animated videos. The results of the analysis show that based on the output table data 1, there is no decrease from the pre test value to the post test value. Then between the results of the explanation text writing test for the pre-test and post-test there were 20 positive data (N), meaning that 20 students experienced an increase in the results of the explanation text writing test. Furthermore, in output table 2, it shows that there is a difference between the results of the explanation text writing test for pre-test and post-test, meaning that there is an influence of using animated videos on the learning outcomes of writing explanation texts for class VII A students. Animated videos are one of the learning media that can be used to improve the skills of writing explanation text.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve learners' learning outcomes through the application of Discovery Learning models. The type of research used is Class Action Research (PTK). The subject of the study was a class IV student of SDN Talagasari 3 Karawang City. Data collection techniques use tests, observation data, and rubric activities of Teachers and Learners. Data analysis techniques are used in the form of quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The learning outcomes of 28 learners in the first cycle study of IPA subject content with KKM 67 showed that as many as 19 learners had reached KKM if it was percentage to 68%. While 11 students have not reached KKM if the percentage becomes 32%. Then the results of the Second Cycle study increased when compared to cycle I which was (93%) or as many as 26 completed learners. Based on these data, it can be concluded that learning outcomes in cycle II have reached the target of 85%. Thus thr application of the Discovery Learning learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class IV learners of SDN Talagasari 3 Karawang City.

Abstract

Language is a tool used by humans to interact with each other. With human language, humans can interact anytime and anywhere according to their respective regional languages, especially Indonesian. Indonesian is the unifying language of the nation and must be upheld by its citizens. But in reality, there are still many citizens who experience obstacles in interacting due to a lack of language skills. Errors in language can happen to anyone, be it children, adults, or seniors; it depends on the person's understanding of the language according to the rules. This study aims to analyze the impact of using slang that often occurs among schoolchildren at SMK Miftahul Ihsan. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that describes data on language errors that are often used by schoolchildren. The facts about the language errors were obtained by using the recording and listening methods in class. Besides the data collection techniques, this study used a recording device to record all the conversations of the informants in the class. The results of the study indicate that the impact of using slang that occurs in schoolchildren or adolescents is inherent and used in students' daily lives so that it becomes a habit. The language errors are: 1) The occurrence of deviant errors or slang; 2) Errors in the use of joining suffixes; 3) Errors in omitting one letter (phoneme) in a sentence; and 4) the replacement of diphthongs "au" and "ai" with "o" and "e.".

Abstract

Teacher competence is very important in order to achieve success in learning. The purpose of writing this article is to improve the quality of the learning process which is focused on improving teacher skills in teaching. Based on the results of observations and discussions with teachers in one of the SMKs, problems were found in learning, one of which was that students were not active and when given a stimulus they did not respond well. Researchers want to implement Lesson Study as a solution to overcome these problems. Lesson Study is a model of developing the teaching profession through collaborative learning. Lesson Study involves 3 components, namely model teachers, observers, and students. Based on the learning results of the first cycle, 68% was obtained and the third cycle was 89%. In addition, based on the results of teacher observations, learning debate texts using internet media has a positive impact on student activity, giving the problems discussed makes students explore knowledge by expressing various ideas. In addition, Lesson Study activities provide valuable experience for teachers.

Abstract

This commitment in the form of training is motivated by the professional competence of teachers in the development of learning assessments. The assessment functions as a teacher's effort to be able to find the advantages and disadvantages of the learning process that is being implemented or that has been implemented. However, there are still many teachers who consider the assessment process to be only a formality. The assessment is not authentic, or the teacher gives conventional assessments, which tend to be carried out only to measure graduate learning outcomes, as if the assessment were separate from the learning process, without paying attention to assessments that can improve student competency during the learning process. Under these conditions, teachers need an assessment approach that is used in learning. This training aims to train teachers in developing an assessment of learning (AafoL) model through a gamification-assisted genre pedagogy approach. The training was held at the MGMP Indonesian Middle School, Garut Regency, West Java, at SMPN 2 Cibiuk, Garut Regency. The training uses methods: tutorial, workshops, structured assignments, and consultations. As a result, the teacher can have a basic understanding of assessment and its application in learning Indonesian. The teacher can compose HOTS-based Indonesian questions and provide good assessments.

Abstract

 This research is motivated by an increase in student learning outcomes towards the selection of learning models that are attractive and in accordance with student characteristics, and can measure the effectiveness of learning models, and student responses regarding the application of learning models. Especially in learning to write which is still difficult to master, and it requires continuous practice. The purpose of this study was to determine student learning outcomes by applying the think talk write model in learning to write fantasy stories, and student responses to the application of the thik talk write model. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with research techniques tests, observation, and interviews. The sample of this research is students of class VII-A MTS Darul Ma'arif, as many as 25 students. The results of student acquisition, from the pretest results with the highest score of 77, the lowest score of 40, the average pretest score of 62.56. Ten out of twenty-five students scored> 75 above the KKM score. While the postest score of the highest score is 95, the lowest score is 65 and the average postest score is 83.48. Twenty-two out of twenty-five students scored> 75 above the KKM score determined by the school. It can be concluded from the results of the posttest scores obtained an increase in student learning outcomes, on learning to write fantasy stories after using the think talk write model, with an average postest score of 83.48 which is superior. So the application of the think talk write model is declared effective and successful, and gets good responses from students.

Abstract

Poetry is a series of words and lines created by the expression of feelings and thoughts that make up a literary work. To beautify the language of a poem, the style of language used must be clear. Joko Pinurbo is an Indonesian writer who creates various poems. The poetry he creates has a unique language characteristic, is simple and has deep allusions. This study aims to examine the style of language used in the poems by Joko Pinurbo. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative with the type of literature study. The source of data used in this research is Joko Pinurbo's poetry library. The poems studied were entitled “Pacar Senja”, “Selepas Usia 60”, and “Tukang Potret Keliling”, which were analyzed based on the phrases and figures of speech contained in them. The study of poetry is carried out with semiotics, namely a way of studying a poem by enjoying its markers. The results of the review of the three titles of Joko Pinurbo's poems above, it is stated that the three works contain symbols and symbols that have a specific purpose. The use of diction in his poems is quite simple as it is often used in everyday life and has a good sense of humor.

Abstract

On the pandemic now this, learning is required and where required done at home in order to break the spread of Covid-19, i.e with distance learning (online). in online learning also teachers and stundents are required to more creative as possible. This research is done to examine learning and Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) – based Audiovisual on VOCATIONAL students of class X SMK KESFAM. Motivated by the many obstacles in the learning process in the network (online) to students who have difficulty pouring ideas and idea in form of writing which is caused by the lack of understanding of the students to the structure, the steps of writing, text, and the rules of language that right in writing the text of anecdote. This study aims to enhance creativity in writing the text anecdote - based audiovisual and find aout the students ‘response to the implementantion of the learning in the network (online) by the method of student Team Achievement Division (STAD). Methods this research is a descriptive qualitative. Data colletion techniques carried out by way of test, observation, and questionaries. The results of the study show that learning in the network (online) write a text anecdote on the students of class X SMK KESFAM. Through the method of cooperative learning and Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) – based Audiovisual running optimally it can be seen from the results expressed by students through the learning outcomes increased to exceed the average value of KKM namely 85.5 by looking at the average value in the structure is at 80.5 and the value of the rules of language is 75.5 anget done and learning with the use of audiovisual media also has the effectiveness to support the writing skills of students in the text of the anecdote.

Abstract

A song that has lyrics with a deep meaning or meaning is always popular even though it has been lyrical for a long time, in the creation of song lyrics, there are language games such as games in language style and word meanings. Dhani's songs with Dewa 19 are often judged to have controversial lyrics in the lyrics, the word "I" and the "You" do not always describe someone who is expressing feelings with their soulmate. The owner of this song also often describes the relationship between man and the creator. The song 'Satu' is an example. This research is to analyze a meaning in the one song lyrics. The method used is descriptive qualitative method by dividing the lyrics into several verses, with a semiotic approach the song lyrics are divided into markers and signs and then analyzed to determine their meaning. The research was carried out in several steps, (1) determining the song, (2) dividing it into several verses, (3) determining the markers and signs, (4) analyzing the meaning, (5) describing the results. The results of the author’s analysis on the lyrics of the song Satu Dewa 19 by Ahmad Dhani concluded that the lyrics contain meaning that implies one’s obedience to God.

Abstract

The style of language in a poem is one of the most important elements. The right style of language used in poetry with a certain theme will make the poetic value of a poem dominant. In this study, the researcher will examine the style of language used by Sapardi Djoko Damono in his poem entitled "Hujan Bulan Juni". Although the poem can be said to be short, the language style in this poem is very dense. In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive method so that the results of the analysis were descriptive. The results of the analysis on the poem " Hujan Bulan Juni" found a total of 3 language styles. The first language style is Repetition, Pesonification, and Metaphor. From the results of the style analysis, it can be concluded that the atmosphere contained in the poem is an atmosphere of emotion.
