Abstract

Food waste is becoming an increasingly significant global issue along with food loss and waste, consumers throw away 31% of the food they have purchased, a third of the total food produced globally or around 1.3 billion tons of food that can be consumed including fresh vegetables, fruit. , meat, bread and dairy products are lost along the supply chain. Food waste has many negative social, economic and environmental impacts. The household sector is one area that contributes to a significant amount of food waste. Household behavior is considered the biggest contributor to food waste. wasted (Food Waste), behavior shows significant differences in producing food waste produced by households, Sanggau Regency also experiences problems with food waste, this cannot be separated from the geographical conditions of the area which borders directly with the Malaysian region which makes the mobility of goods difficult. easier, thus making the community's consumptive factor increase as evidenced by the continued increase in public demand for food products produced by the people of Sanggau Regency every year. This research aims to identify household consumption behavior regarding the behavior of throwing away food (food waste) in border areas of the Regency. Sanggau and determine the influence of socio-demographic, socio-economic factors and household consumption behavior on food waste behavior in the border areas of Sanggau Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive statistics. The sample in this study was 100 respondents representing households. The variables in this research are divided into two, namely respondent characteristics and household behavior. The results of the research show that the average food waste behavior in households refers to the characteristics of respondents such as age, gender, occupation, income, expenditure and number of family members as well as tendencies or behavioral patterns of household members in producing, managing and using food. causes food to be wasted in an inefficient manner. Food waste behavior covers various aspects, including purchasing, storing, preparing and consuming food.

Abstract

Regenerasi petani di Indonesia, khususnya di Desa Senakin, mengalami kendala karena minimnya keahlian dan pengalaman generasi muda dalam pertanian. Desa Senakin, yang memiliki komoditas unggulan padi sawah, menghadapi kesulitan dalam mendapatkan tenaga kerja, sehingga banyak petani beralih ke perkebunan kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali kontribusi dan persepsi generasi muda terhadap pertanian tanaman pangan di sekitar perkebunan kelapa sawit. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan sampel 78 generasi muda berusia 15-35 tahun yang tidak bersekolah dan memiliki orang tua petani. Hasil menunjukkan kontribusi generasi muda terhadap pertanian tanaman pangan rendah, hanya 1,73% dari total waktu kerja, meskipun 19% menunjukkan minat tinggi untuk menjadi petani. Persepsi positif terhadap pertanian tidak memengaruhi keputusan mereka untuk terlibat, dengan faktor-faktor seperti kepemilikan lahan, status pernikahan, dan keahlian bertani berperan penting dalam keputusan tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik petani muda di Desa Parit Keladi serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan usahatani padi sawah di wilayah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sebanyak 40 responden yang merupakan petani padi sawah dijadikan sampel penelitian. Data yang digunakan berasal dari sumber primer dan sekunder, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan petani untuk mempertahankan usaha padi sawah dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal.. Faktor internal terdiri dari pendidikan petani, pengalaman petani, pendapatan petani, konsumsi sendiri dan luas kepemilikan lahan. Faktor eksternal terdiri dari lingkungan sosial, kebijakan pemerintah dan pendapatan non pertanian.

Abstract

It is not yet known whether the success of mangrove swamp forest conserva-tion in Setapuk Besar was driven more by the participation of members of the coastal care group or by involving non-members. It is important to analyse this problem, in order to determine the option co-management types, after the mangrove forest rehabilitation activities is deemed successful. This study aims to analyze the implications of the presence of coastal care groups and community participation on the option types of co-management mangrove forest conservation. The research method uses a quantitative and qualitative approach. Quantitative data were collected through structured interviews with 90 respondents, while the analytical tools used descriptive methods and the difference test of Mann Whitney-U. The results of the study show that the level of understanding and participation of group members has significantly higher qualifications than non-members, so this indicates that there is still a high gap. This difference in understanding and participation is shown in the high ability of group members to analyze, interpret, understand environmental conditions, as well as their concern for consevation activities. The success of conservation which still relies on the participation of group members needs to be continuously improved by improving its management capacity, so that the level of participation can be higher by involving most members of the community. In this regard, considering that there is a real role for the coastal care group but there are gap of understanding and participation, the option about co-management form that considered appropriate is cooperative type.

Abstract

PKM ini bertujuan untuk transfer teknologi pembuatan pupuk organic berbasis biochar sekam padi dan kompos kotoran ayam untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah Spodosol, untuk budidaya tanaman jeruk dan padi sehingga dapat meningkatkan ekonomi petani di Desa Segarau Parit, Tebas.   Kegiatan PKM   ini berlangsung selama 8 bulan dimulai dari kegiatan persiapan, Pelatihan kegiatan inti PKM yaitu pembuatan biochar  sekam padi dan kompos kotoran  ayam, serta pembuatan sirup dan permen jelly dari jeruk. Pada akhir kegiatan, dilakukan evaluasi terhadap program- program yang telah dilakukan oleh tim dosen. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui hambatan/kesulitan yang dihadapi selama proses kegiatan, dan kemudian didiskusikan untuk diselesaikan. Diharapkan setelah kegiatan PKM ini selesai, petani Poktan Harapan Baru mampu membuat pupuk organik yaitu biochar  sekam padi diperkaya kotoran ayam yang mempunyai kualitas yang baik sehingga membantu menyuburkan tanah Spodosol. Selain itu Poktan Harapan Baru juga mempunyai produk unggulan yaitu sirup dan permen jelly dari jeruk yang tidak terasa pahit.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest producer of palm oil in the world, with a significant increase in plantation area, yet faces the challenge of increasing old and damaged plants affecting productivity. To address this, oil palm replanting is necessary, with government support to ensure the sustainability and productivity of independent smallholder plantations. The purpose of this study is to understand the management of oil palm replanting by independent farmers in Meliau District, Sanggau Regency. This research, which uses a qualitative descriptive method and utilizes both primary and secondary data, involves a sample of 40 respondents who are independent farmers. The results show that the replanting process in Sungai Kembayau Village using the mass clearing method demonstrates a strong commitment to long-term productivity improvement of the plantations. However, there are deviations from standard operating procedures that can affect the efficiency and outcomes of replanting, such as variability in chipping thickness, neglect of cover crop use, and inconsistencies in pest control dosing.

Abstract

Wasted food is a global issue that has been around for a long time but has become increasingly serious without realizing it. The resulting impacts negatively affect many sectors, such as the environment, economy and social. Food waste can reduce farmers' income and increase consumer spending. Households can be said to be the biggest contributors to food waste because apart from daily consumption activities, the most dominant livelihood system of the people in Teriak sub-district is farming. The characteristics of farming households that play a major role in meeting household food needs are the socio-economic conditions of farmers, because it can describe the capacity of farmers in meeting their food needs, research was conducted on the causes of food waste behavior by farming households, especially Teriak District. This research aims to determine household consumption behavior towards the emergence of food waste and identify the influence of socio-demographic and socio-economic factors on food waste behavior by households in Teriak District, Bengkayang Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive statistics with 100 sample respondents representing households. The variables in this study are divided into two, namely socio-demographics and household behavior. The research results show that the behavior of farming households is influenced by socio-demographic and socio-economic characteristics of respondents such as age, length of education, number of family members, income and expenses. Food waste behavior includes several aspects such as the social environment, purchasing, storage, processing and consumption.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the productivity of smallholder oil palm in the self-help pattern in Sungai Daka Village, Sungai Laur District, Ketapang Regency. The method used in the study is a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach that is analyzed using a multiple linear regression model. The data sources used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The place of this research was taken deliberately (purposive), namely a self-help pattern oil palm plantation in Sungai Daka Village, Sungai Laur District, Ketapang Regency. The results of the study showed that simultaneously independent variables consisting of the number of plants, plant age, NPK fertilizer, organic fertilizer, pesticide and labor had a positive and significant influence on the productivity of self-help pattern oil palm in Sungai Daka Village, Sungai Laur District, Ketapang Regency. Meanwhile, the results of the partially tested data analysis concluded that NPK fertilizers and organic fertilizers had a real effect on the productivity of self-help pattern palm oil, while the number of plants, plant age, pesticides and labor had no real effect on the productivity of self-help pattern oil palm in Sungai Daka Village, Sungai Laur District, Ketapang Regency.

Abstract

Kelapa sawit merupakan komoditas penting dalam industri penghasil minyak masak, minyak industri, maupun bahan bakar lewat produksi Crude Palm Oil (CPO) melalui pengolahan Tandan Buah Segar (TBS) kelapa sawit. Ketahanan ekonomi keluarga mengacu pada kemampuan keluarga untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapinya berdasarkan sumber daya yang tersedia untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga. Salah satu pola pengembangan perkebunan kelapa sawit perkebunan rakyat yaitu pola swadaya oleh petani. Dalam mengusahakan tanaman kelapa sawit, berbagai masalah banyak dihadapi petani, salah satu diantaranya yaitu penurunan pendapatan dan peningkatan pengeluaran pada saat kegiatan peremajaan (replanting) kelapa sawit. Peremajaan kelapa sawit (replanting), adalah proses mengganti pohon kelapa sawit tua yang sudah tidak produktif dengan pohon kelapa sawit yang baru. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis deskriftif. Dalam penelitian ketahanan ekonomi keluarga petani kelapa sawit swadaya di Kabupaten Sintang pada masa replanting, analisis deskriptif dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui gambaran umum tentang pendapatan, pengeluaran, aset, diversifikasi usaha dan akses terhadap layanan keuangan serta kesehatan. Pendapatan rata-rata petani kelapa sawit swadaya sebesar Rp 2.853.750 selama masa replanting menunjukkan kondisi ekonomi yang rentan, meskipun berada sedikit di atas garis kemiskinan. Berdasarkan pengeluaran rata-rata Rp 2.709.000 per bulan, kondisi ekonomi petani kelapa sawit swadaya di Kabupaten Sintang pada masa replanting dapat dikategorikan sebagai rentan. Nilai rata-rata aset keluarga petani kelapa sawit swadaya di Kabupaten Sintang sebesar Rp 464.375.000 menunjukkan bahwa mereka memiliki modal ekonomi yang signifikan. Diversifikasi usaha yang meliputi berjualan, bekerja sebagai pegawai swasta atau negeri, serta mengelola kebun non-sawit terbukti dapat mendukung ketahanan ekonomi petani kelapa sawit swadaya selama masa replanting. Akses terhadap layanan keuangan, seperti kepemilikan rekening bank dan pinjaman modal replanting, dapat mendukung ketahanan ekonomi petani kelapa sawit swadaya di Kabupaten Sintang selama masa replanting. Akses terhadap layanan kesehatan, seperti berobat ke puskesmas dan rumah sakit serta kepemilikan asuransi kesehatan, dapat mendukung ketahanan ekonomi petani kelapa sawit swadaya di Kabupaten Sintang selama masa replanting.

Abstract

Produksi cabai rawit menurun akibat kurangnya pengetahuan dalam budidayanya, yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi seperti luas lahan, tenaga kerja, pupuk, dan pestisida yang belum optimal. Dengan menggunakan faktor produksi dengan efisien, hasil produksi dapat ditingkatkan sehingga pendapatan petani bisa meningkat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi cabai rawit di Desa Sungai Nyirih, Kecamatan Jawai, Kabupatensl Sambas. Metode yang digunakan dalam Penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan jumlah sampel 36 petani cabai rawit. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari produksi, luas lahan, tenaga kerja, benih, NPK, TSP, KCL, pupuk kandang, dan pestisida. Alat analisis yang digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi produksi cabai rawit dianalisis dengan Cobb-Douglas. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat dua variabel yang memiliki dampak secara signifikan terhadap hasil produksi yaitu variabel tenaga kerja dan KCL, sedangkan variabel luas lahan, benih, NPK, TSP, pupuk kendang dan pestisida tidak memiliki dampak secara signifikan terhadap hasil produksi usahatani cabai rawit di Desa Sungai Nyirih Kecamatan Jawai Kabupaten Sambas.
