Abstract

Environmental problems in the form of waste generation globally have increased rapidly, one of which is food waste. Food waste generated will have an impact, both in the form of social, environmental and economic impacts. This study aims to determine (1) Factors that influence food waste consumption behavior of Padjadjaran University students in the BRI Faperta canteen (2) Estimating the value of food waste economic losses in the BRI Faperta canteen due to student food waste behavior. This research is a quantitative study with logistic regression analysis method and raw price approach (FDMM) and mature price approach to determine the estimated value of food waste losses incurred in the BRI Faperta canteen. Determination of respondents was carried out by purposive sampling method as many as 94 people who were consuming heavy food in the canteen. The results showed that there are factors that significantly influence food waste behavior in students in the BRI Faperta canteen, namely gender, habits, income and appetite. In addition, there is food waste that occurs with an estimated economic loss value in the BRI Faperta canteen of Rp1,437,420 / month with the raw weight approach and in the cooked weight approach of Rp2,532,981 / month, thus showing the percentage of economic losses in the BRI Faperta canteen which is 2.42%.

Abstract

Processed chili products are the choice of the people of Bandung City, supported by a lifestyle that wants everything to be practical, instant, and easy to use, without having to take a long time. One of the processed chilies that has been developed at this time is instant sambal products. In consuming a product, consumers will pay attention to the quality of the product to be consumed, this is also called consumer preference. This research aims to determine consumer preferences for the attributes of price, taste, packaging, and variations of instant sambal and to determine the order of instant sambal attributes based on the level of importance according to consumer preferences in Andir District, Bandung City. The use of quantitative descriptive methods with survey techniques in the form of questionnaires was distributed to 120 respondents in Andir District, Bandung City. The data analysis technique is conjoint analysis. The research results showed that the combination of product attributes that respondents liked most was instant sambal with variations of shrimp paste-based sambal, price less than IDR 30,000, size > 250 gr (large size), jar packaging, with a medium spicy taste and an attribute importance level of the highest value to the lowest in the variation attribute, the price attribute, the size attribute, the taste attribute, and finally the packaging attribute.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPotato imports for industrial raw materials tend to increase, this is due to the lack of domestic potato production (industrial raw materials) is relatively small, the lack of industrial potato production can be caused by the lack of supply of seed potatoes (industrial raw materials) from local breeders. The lack of industrial seed potato supply has led to the emergence of new varieties of seed potato (for industry).  New seed potato varieties are generally untested by consumers. This study was conducted to compare new potato varieties”X” and Atlantis varieties and analyze the level of importance and performance of new potato seed varieties by consumers. The research was conducted using a quantitative design. The sample was taken using snow ball sampling, the research was conducted in Bandung district, West Bandung district and Garut district in February 2023.  Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Results show: There are eight attributes of new potato seed varieties, namely the number of sprouting eyes, resistance to pests and diseases, harvest age, tuber size, tuber shape, color and texture of tuber flesh, storability and productivity levels. The advantages of new potato seed varieties “X” over Atlantis potato seed varieties (the dominant variety planted by farmers) are that they have higher productivity potential and the harvesting age can be shorter.  Another advantage of the new potato seed varieties is that they have high productivity potential and good taste so that they can be processed into various kinds of processed products such as French fries and chips. Attributes that are important to farmers (seed consumers) and perform well in new potato seed varieties “X” are tuber size and harvesting age.  Attributes that need to be improved from the new seed potato varieties are pest-disease resistance and maintaining productivity.

Abstract

Organic coffee farming has a higher selling price than non-organic coffee, organic coffee farm business is a source of employment and income for farmers. Coffee planting in forest areas is different from coffee planting in farmers' gardens, because coffee planters in the forest are planted in between forest plants, the number of coffee plants planted in the forest becomes smaller in number (not optimal). The purpose of the research is to examine the characteristics of farmers and their businesses and to analyze the effect of the land area on organic coffee production in the Girisenang forest farmer group (Kelompok tani hutan/KTH).  The research method used is a case study, the data used consists of primary and secondary data, primary data obtained from sample farmers by census.  The analysis used is descriptive analysis and econometric analysis, namely linear regression equations.  The results showed: (1) Organic coffee farmers in (KTH) Girisenang are mainly farmers, with low education, productive age.  The average area of forest land cultivated is 1 hectare, the average number of plants is 1272 trees, fertilizing oranically, maintaining their gardens according to recommendations, harvesting coffee in the form of cerry, and (2) Land area has no significant effect on production, because the number of coffee plants in the forest land farming area are not optimal.

Abstract

PT.Pertani bergerak salah satunya di bidang produksi dan distribusi benih. Berdasarkan benih yangdipasarkannya, ada dua jenis konsumen benih padi PT. Pertani yaitu konsumen benih bersubsidi dan non subsidi.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan kualitas bauran pemasaran benih padi bersertifikat non subsidiberdasarkan kepuasan petani padi sebagai konsumen benih. Penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptifkuantitatif yang mengidentifikasi tingkat kesesuaian antara kepentingan dan pelaksanaan bauran pemasaran yangdirasakan oleh petani padi, prioritas perbaikan bauran pemasaran, serta tingkat kepuasan petani. Terdapat tujuhatribut bauran pemasaran yang dinilai berdasarkan prinsip bauran pemasaran 7P dan dianalisis dengan metodeImportance-Performance Analysis (IPA) dan Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). Penelitian dilakukan di empatdesa yang berada di wilayah Kios Tani Ramah, Kabupaten Karawang. Alasan pemilihan Kios Tani Ramah adalahkarena kios ini adalah pemasar benih padi bersertifikat terbesar dari PT. Pertani Cabang Karawang, dimana PT.Pertani sendiri merupakan satu dari dua BUMN yang memproduksi benih padi bersertifikat. Variabel yang akanditeliti pada penelitian ini adalah bauran pemasaran 7P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, danPhysical Evidence). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa yang menjadi prioritas untuk ditingkatkan ialah atributketahanan hama, penyakit, kesesuaian harga dengan kualitas, promosi word of mouth, dan kebersihan kios. Tingkatkepuasan petani berdasarkan penilaian CSI yaitu 75,20% atau 0,752 yang berarti ada pada kriteria puas, karenaberada diantara 0,66 – 0,80.Kata kunci: kepuasan petani, bauran pemasaran, benih padi bersertifikat, non subsidi, IPAABSTRACTOne of PT.Pertani’s business branch is seed production and distribution. Based on the seeds market, thereare two types of consumers of PT. Pertani. Those are, subsidized and non-subsidized seed consumers. Thisresearch was conducted to determine the quality of marketing mix of certified rice seeds based on the satisfactionof the rice farmers as seed consumers. The research was conducted with quantitative descriptive analysis methodthat identifies the level of conformity between the importance and the implementation of the marketing mixperceived by the rice farmers, the priority of the marketing mix improvement, and the level of farmer satisfaction.There are seven marketing mix attributes that are judged by the 7P marketing mix principle and analyzed byImportance-Performace Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. The study was conductedin four villages located in Kios Tani Ramah area, Karawang Regency. The reason for choosing Tani Ramah Kioskis because this kiosk is the largest certified rice seeds marketer from PT. Pertani Karawang Branch, where PT.Pertani itself is one of two state-owned enterprises that produce certified rice seeds. The variables to be sold inthis study are 7P marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, dan Physical Evidence). Theresults showed that the priorities to be improved are the attribute of pest resistance, disease, price conformity withthe quality, word of mouth promotion, and the kiosk's hygiene. The level of farmer satisfaction based on the CSIassessment is 75.20% or 0.752 which means it is within the "satisfied" criteria, because it is between 0.66 - 0.80.Keywords: farmer satisfaction, marketing mix, certified rice seed, non subsidized, IPA

Abstract

Produktivitas pemetik teh di Perkebunan teh Cibuni mengalami penurunan disebabkan oleh berkurangnyajumlah tenaga kerja pemetik teh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produktivitas pemetik dan faktorfaktoryang mempengaruhi produktivitas pemetik di Perkebunan teh Cibuni. Penelitian ini dilakukan diPerkebunan Teh Cibuni, Kecamatan Rancabali, Kabupaten Bandung. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitudesain kuantitatif dengan teknik penelitian survei. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode acak sederhanadengan sampel 40 orang pemetik. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan alat bantu SPSS IBMStatistics, pengujian asumsi klasik dan pegujian hipotesis menggunakan uji , uji F dan uji t. Variabel yangdigunakan yaitu motivasi, kedisiplinan, jenis kelamin, usia, pengalaman kerja, keterampilan, dan kapasitas petik.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai determinasi sebesar 0.845 = 84.5% yang artinya pengaruh semuavariabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat adalah 84.5%, sedangkan 15.5% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lainyang tidak diteliti. Nilai R atau nilai korelasi sebesar 0.934 menunjukan kekuatan hubungan yang sangat kuatantara motivasi, kedisiplinan, jenis kelamin, usia, pengalaman kerja, keterampilan dan kapasitas petik denganproduktivitas kerja pemetik. Hasil uji t menunjukan variabel yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadapproduktivitas pemetik teh yaitu motivasi, usia, pengalaman kerja, keterampilan dan kapasitas petik, sedangkanvariabel yang tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas pemetik teh yaitu kedisiplinan dan jeniskelamin.Kata kunci: faktor-faktor, produktivitas, pemetik tehABSTRACTThe productivity of the tea pickers in Cibuni tea plantation has decreased due to the decreasing number ofthe tea pickers. This research aims to determine the productivity of the tea pickers and factors that affect theproductivity of the tea pickers in Cibuni tea plantation. This research was conducted at Cibuni Tea Plantation,Rancabali District, Bandung Regency. The research design used is the quantitative design with the survey researchtechnique. The sampling used a simple random method with a sample of 40 pickers. The data analysis used themultiple linear regressions with SPSS IBM Statistics tool, classical assumption test and hypothesis test using R2test, F test and t test. The variables used were motivation, discipline, gender, age, work experience, skills, andquoting capacity. The results showed that the value of determination of 0.845 which means the influence of allindependent variables on the dependent variable is 84.5%, while the other 15.5% are influenced by other variablesthat are not examined. The R value or correlation value of 0.934 shows a very strong relationship betweenmotivation, discipline, gender, age, work experience, skills and picking capacity with the work productivity of thepicker. The result of t test shows that the variables that significantly influence the productivity of the tea pickersare motivation, age, work experience, skill and picking capacity, while the variables that have no significant effecton the tea picker productivity are discipline and gender.Keywords: factors, productivity, tea picker
