Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the fourth highest rice consumption in the world. This large consumption must of course be supported by high rice production. Tasikmalaya Regency is not the area with the highest rice production in Indonesia, but this district has the potential for developing rice farming which can still be maximized. Based on this explanation, the research analyzes the factors that influence rice production in Tasikmalaya Regency using the multiple linear regression method with the help of SPSS and Microsoft Excel applications. Data was collected through a survey of 50 rice farmers in Tasikmalaya Regency using a questionnaire. The results of the analysis show that land area and fertilizer costs per season have a significant positive effect on rice production. Other factors such as farmer age, seed prices, farming experience, and dry grain prices do not partially have a significant influence on rice production. Furthermore, the regression model can be used to predict rice commodity production with 66% of the variance in Rice Production can be explained in this Regression model. Key-words: production, rice farming, regression analysis

Abstract

The number of coffee trees planted in forest areas is less than the number of coffee trees planted in farmers' gardens, coffee production grown in the forest is shared with Perhutani as the landowner, the selling price of organic coffee is higher than the selling price of anorganic coffee, organic coffee production costs tend to be lower because it only uses organic fertilizer which is much cheaper. The conditions of production yields, costs and receipts of organic coffee affect the income of coffee farmers in the forest.  The purpose of this study was to analyze the income of organic coffee farming in the forest farmer group (Kelompok Tani Hutan/KTH) Girisenang, Girimekar village, Cilengkrang sub-district, Bandung district. The research method used is a case study, the data used consists of primary and secondary data, primary data obtained from sample farmers by census.  The analysis used is descriptive analysis and mathematical analysis (farming analysis).    The results showed: The income of coffee plants per tree is IDR 5,431, the number of plants per hectare averages 1,272 trees, the income per hectare is IDR 6,892,968.  The R/C ratio value of organic coffee plants is 2.16, in other words, organic coffee plants in the perhutani forest area of Girimekar village, Cilengkrang sub-district, Bandung district are profitable.

Abstract

In Cireundeu Traditional Village, cassava is a staple food, but its production has been declining every year. However, the unique characteristics of cassava as a staple food and the Sundanese culture in Cireundeu Customary Village make it an attractive destination for tourists, whose numbers increase annually. This has led to to increase cassava production. This research analyzes the income and contribution of cassava farming. The research method used a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were analyzed using mathematical analysis. The results show that farmers produce an average of 5.312,5 kg/ha/year of cassava, with cash income amounting to IDR 7.604.816,78/ha/year and a R/C ratio of 4,88. Based on net income calculations, cassava farming shows a negative value (incurs losses) of IDR 15.143.855,22/ha/year. However, from a social perspective, cassava farming is closely related to the preservation of Sundanese culture and beliefs, as well as serving as a recreational site (Ekoeduwisata Cireundeu Traditional Village).

Abstract

Horticultural agribusiness plays a strategic role in providing nutritious food and improving community income; however, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in this sector continue to face various constraints that affect business performance. This study aims to analyze the effects of internal factors, namely entrepreneurs’ personal characteristics, entrepreneurial motivation, social support, opportunity recognition and exploitation, and entrepreneurial competence on the performance of horticultural agribusinesses. A quantitative approach with a descriptive–correlational design was employed through a survey of 109 horticultural business actors in West Java, DKI Jakarta, Banten, and Central Java. Data were collected using a 1–5 Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, index-score analysis, and multiple linear regression. The descriptive results indicate that the highest average index score was found for entrepreneurs’ personal characteristics (4.121), while overall agribusiness performance was moderate (3.084), with the lowest scores observed in business volume growth and market share growth. The regression model show that entrepreneurial competence had a positive and significant effect on business performance, whereas the other internal variables were not significant. Practically, the study suggests strengthening technical and managerial competencies, implementing more applied institutional mentoring, and adopting market expansion strategies to enhance business volume and market share.

Abstract

Large red chili peppers are an important horticultural commodity for the Indonesian economy, but Panyusuhan Village in Cianjur Regency still faces fluctuating productivity and tends to be below the district average. This study aims to analyze the effect of fertilizer use on the production of large red chili peppers with a quantitative approach through a survey of 30 farmers selected through a simple random sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the Cobb-Douglas production function as well as the classical assumption test (R2, F test, and t test). The results of the study showed that the production factors used by farmers were generally in accordance with the recommendations, with an R2 valueof 0.973 which means that the independent variable in the study could explain 97.3% of production variations. The F test showed that all variables had a significant effect simultaneously, while the t test revealed that the NPK fertilizer variable had a partial significant effect, while the manure variable partially had an effect but not significantly on the production of large red chilies.
