Abstract

Usaha kecil merupakan sumber lapangan kerja dan pendapatan bagi banyak penduduk di kita, salah satu kelemahan usaha kecil adalah  kurang mampu membuat produk yang kompetitif di pasar.  Tujuan kegiatan PKM  ini:. (1) Bagaiamana meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta akan pengembangan produk dan (2) Bagaimana meningkatkan keterampilan peserta dalam memvariasikan produk dan meningkatkan kualitas produk.  Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan  dari 22 April sampai 22 Mei 2024 di bale Desa Mandalamekar kecamatan Cimenyan kabupaten Bandung.  Metoda yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan berupa ceramah, diskusi dan praktek pengolahan makanan. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta di analisis melalui tes awal dan tes akhir, peningkatan pengetahuan peserta di analisis  secara statistik dengan menggunakan uji t berpasangan pada tarap nyata 5 persen. Peningkatan keterampilan diukur dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif.  Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan: Pengetahuan peserta tentang strategi produk yang meliputi peningkatan variasi produk, peningkatan kualitas dan ukuran produk meningkat dari yang nilainya 60% menjadi 95%, hasil uji statistik terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan.  Keterampilan peserta akan memvariasikan dan meningkatkan kualitas produk meningkat dari kurang trampil menjadi trampil.

Abstract

West Java is one of the provinces that has potential for mango cultivation because it has a climate that is suitable for this plant. However, in 2023 there will be a decline in mango production, followed by an increase in the level of mango consumption in Indonesia, which is indicated to be influenced by the way farmers cultivate mango plants. The aim of this research is to identify farmer characteristics and relate mango cultivation techniques to farmer income in two mango production centers in West Java, namely Majalengka and Cirebon. The research method used is descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests. Respondent selection used a two-stage stratified sampling technique. The sample for this research was 258 mango farmers in Majalengka and Cirebon. The research results show that the majority of mango farmers in Majalengka and Cirebon have a productive age range of 45 - 60 years with an elementary school education level and their main job is as mango farmers. Meanwhile, judging from the cultivation techniques, the majority of mango farmers in Majalengka and Cirebon plant mangoes in gardens/fields with the majority of farmers in Majalengka implementing a polyculture planting pattern, while Cirebon is more dominant in implementing a monoculture planting pattern with the gedong gincu variety as the main variety. Then, the majority of mango farmers in Majalengka and Cirebon have implemented off season technology in their mango cultivation activities. Mango farmers who have a risk-averse nature carry out harvesting independently and control pests. The majority of mango farmers use pesticides as a means of controlling pests. Then, there is a significant relationship between planting location, use of off season technology, and pest control and farmer income in Majalengka and Cirebon.Key-words: Mango cultivation techniques, farmer income, planting location, off season technology, pest control.

Abstract

The food and beverage industry contributes significantly to the Indonesian economy. The fermented beverage market is growing due to consumer awareness of health. Recently, there has been a development in non-dairy fermented products, one example of a popular fermented drink is tepache. Tepache fermented drinks have the potential to become a business because in addition to utilizing waste, Indonesia also has the potential for local fruit. By applying production skills, packaging and storage technology, business management, and good marketing will support business potential. This community service program seeks to advocate marketing innovation and business opportunities. Because there are still obstacles, the product packaging currently used is less attractive to customers and there are still many prospective buyers who do not know the products and businesses of the Al-Qur'an garden due to the lack of information dissemination. The method used is Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for advocacy of marketing innovation and calculation of Production Cost for advocacy of business opportunities. The results obtained are packaging using cans that can maintain the quality and integrity of the product and informative packaging design to provide information effectively to customers and promotion through social media. In addition, tepache fermented drinks have promising business opportunities because the market is still open and the price range is in accordance with the health benefits offered by tepache fermented drinks.

Abstract

Edible flowers merupakan komoditas agribisnis yang permintaannya diperkirakan selalu meningkat. Sayangnya, PT Ijo Kreasi Indonesia sebagai produsen edible flowers di Kota Bandung dihadapi masalah stagnasi penjualan pada tahun 2023 dan penurunan jumlah konsumen pada periode 2022-2023 dengan rendahnya tingkat pembelian ulang konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi karakteristik konsumen, menganalisis kepuasan konsumen terhadap harga, kualitas pelayanan, dan kualitas produk edible flowers, serta menganalisis atribut-atribut yang kinerjanya perlu diperbaiki dan dipertahankan. Penelitian ini menerapkan desain kuantitatif melalui teknik survei. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 71 responden yang dipilih secara proportional random sampling. Metode analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, Customer Satisfaction Index, dan Importance Performance Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumen didominasi oleh perempuan dengan usia 20-25 tahun, tempat tinggal di Kota Bandung, pendidikan D4/S1, pekerjaan wiraswasta, rata-rata pendapatan Rp6.541.549, dan rata-rata frekuensi pembelian sebanyak 34 kali per tahun. Nilai Customer Satisfaction Index sebesar 76,70% yang tergolong cukup mengkhawatirkan. Hasil Importance Performance Analysis menunjukkan bahwa atribut yang perbaikannya perlu diutamakan adalah harga rendah, keramahan karyawan, edible flowers segar dan bebas kontaminasi, kemasan edible flowers yang baik, dan ketersediaan edible flowers.

Abstract

The price of chilies in West Java has still fluctuated over the last 12 months. Penyangga Aneka Cabai program is considered to be a solution for farmers to increase their income so that farmers have enough capital to carry out chili production and can play a role in maintaining price stability and chili supply. One of the villages used as an area for Penyangga Aneka Cabai is Sindulang Village in Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency with the main commodity being red chilies. This research aims to analyze the comparison of farmers' income and profits from red chili farming that participate in Penyangga Aneka Cabai program with those that do not participate in Penyangga Aneka Cabai program. This research uses a quantitative approach design, survey method and has a sample size of 67 red chili farmers with appropriate criteria. Data analysis techniques are carried out using descriptive analysis, farming analysis, R/C Ratio analysis, and Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney statistical test. The research results show that the average income of program farmers is IDR 35,330,175/ha/planting season which is greater than the income of non-program farmers of IDR 30,564,982/ha/planting season. Average R/C value Ratio program farmers is 2.64 which is also greater than non-program farmers, namely 2.03. This research proves that farming carried out by farmers who take part in Penyangga Aneka Cabai Program is more profitable. However, farming carried out by program and non-program farmers is feasible and efficient to operate because both have an R/C value of more than 1. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaan usaha coffee shop serta menentukan dan menyusun strategi pemasaran yang tepat dan dapat diterapkan oleh coffee shop agar usahanya dapat bertahan di masa pasca pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan desain kualitatif dan jenis penelitian studi kasus di Backspace Coffee & Eatery di Jatinangor, penentuan informan dilakukan dengan sengaja (purposive). Informan kunci pada penelitian ini ada 3, yaitu owner, supervisor, dan staff coffee shop. Analisis data menggunakan analisis SWOT dan QSPM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fasilitas yang memadai dan menunjang kenyamanan konsumen merupakan kekuatan internal terbesar sedangkan jumlah produksi makanan dan minuman pasca pandemi merupakan kelemahan terbesar coffee shop. Feedback konusmen merupakan peluang terbesar sedangkan pesaing coffee shop yang berjamur atau pendatang baru dengan bisnis yang sama merupakan ancaman terbesar coffee shop. Berdasarkan matriks IE, coffee shop ini berada pada sel V, yaitu posisi hold and maintain dengan melakukan strategi penetrasi pasar dan pengembangan produk. Berdasarkan matriks SWOT dan QSPM, didapatkan bahwa strategi paling utama adalah pemasaran digital dan kolaborasi mitra lokal dengan nilai TAS sebesar 5,368.

Abstract

The role of small-scale business (UMKM) is source of income and job for the people. The problem of the industry is low quality of product packaging. The purpose of PKM are: (1) How to increase the knowledge and (2) how to raise packaging practice. PKM activities took place from June 24th until July 24th, 2024. The activity was done by companionship of lecture, demonstration and practice. Participant knowledge and practice increase were analysed based pre-test before activity and post-test after activity. The result of activity showed us there were increase significantly about packaging product knowledge and packaging product experience.

Abstract

Kegiatan usahatani padi di Indonesia dalam rangka memproduksi produk kebutuhan pangan pokok yaitu beras, dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor yang berkaitan modal sosial diantaranya yaitu perilaku kontrol dan norma yang berlaku pada para petaninya. Perilaku kontrol dan norma sebagai modal sosial pada prakteknya seringkali berkaitan dengan kearifan lokal sehingga seringkali terdapat perbedaan dalam penerapannya antara satu wilayah dengan wilayah lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan perilaku kontrol dan norma petani pada 2 sentra produksi padi. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metoda survey. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah petani padi di kecamatan Ciracap dan Rancaekek dengan sampel 44 petani padi di Ciracap dan 41 petani padi di Rancaekek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku kontrol dan norma petani padi di Rancaekek sudah baik, namun perilaku kontrol dan norma petani di Ciracap lebih baik lagi. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang nyata antara petani di Ciracap dan Rancaekek dalam hal perilaku kontrol dan norma.

Abstract

There are many factors that influence the sustainability of rice farming, including social factors, namely cooperation and coordination between farmers. However, the level of farmer participation in cooperation and coordination can differ from one region to another. The purpose of this study was to describe the factors that influence cooperation and coordination of rice farmers and then compare them between rice farmers in Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency and Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency. The design of this study used quantitative research with a comparative approach. The population in this study were rice farmers in Ciracap and Rancaekek Districts with a sample size of 44 rice farmers in Ciracap District and 41 rice farmers in Rancaekek. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in terms of cooperation and coordination between rice farmers in Ciracap and Rancaekek. Rice farmers in Ciracap were stronger in carrying out cooperation and coordination between their farmers than rice farmers in Rancaekek.

Abstract

Fermented drinks made from fruits and spices are known to be beneficial for health and have high economic value. Public interest in these types of drinks has increased. However, the level of public knowledge and consumption of fermented drinks is still very low. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the characteristics of fermented drink consumers with consumer knowledge and consumption behavior. The research method used a survey method. The characteristics of fermented drink consumers are mostly female, living in boarding houses with flu as a common disease. There is a significant relationship between the gender of fermented drink consumers with knowledge about the types and benefits of fermented drinks. Then, the type of fermented drink is significantly related to the type of disease that is often suffered.
