Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students at LKP Hazika Education Center Padang City, this is thought to be due to the low concentration of students' learning during learning. This study aims to: 1) describe the concentration of students' learning; 2) describe student learning outcomes; and 3) see the relationship between learning concentration and student learning outcomes at LKP Hazika Education Center Padang City. This type of research is quantitative descriptive correlational technique. The research population of all English participants at LKP Hazika Education Center Padang City was 30 participants and a sample of 21 people were taken using cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire with a data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the percentage formula and rank order correlation. The results showed that: (1) students' learning concentration was low, (2) students' learning outcomes were low, (3) there was a less significant relationship between learning concentration and student learning outcomes at LKP Hazika Education Center Padang City. Thus the concentration of learning affects student learning outcomes but not too significantly.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the number of teenagers who get good learning outcomes at SLTP Kanagarian Kinali level, Kinali District, West Pasaman District. The purpose of this study is to describe the parent's way of forming the child's learning habits in terms of the following aspects: 1) arranging the learning schedule together with the child, 2) accompanying and assisting the child in learning, 3) giving praise to the child and 4) assisting the child in eliminating anxiety and saturation in learning. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The population in this study all teenagers amounted to 109 people. Samples taken 25% using stratified rondom sampling technique, jad i amounted to 27 people. Data collection techniques used observation and questionnaires. Technique of data analysis using technique percentage. The result of this research show that parent in forming child's learning habit is included into good category. Based on the results of research, it is suggested to parents to be able to further improve again how to form a child's learning habits.

Abstract

Non-formal education is intended for people who specifically need education as a complement, addition to, and substitute for formal education. Non-formal education can be used as a support, a complement, an addition to the education obtained by a person in formal education, where non-formal education is held for people who need this education. Non-formal education includes equality education, training and work skills, functional literacy, women's empowerment, youth, PAUD, life skills, and others.Community Reading Park (TBM) is one of the institutions in the field of non-formal education. Community reading parks can be interpreted as non-formal educational institutions that focus on providing knowledge services in the form of print media (books) or electronic media (internet). On the other hand, the community reading park also functions as a supporter of non-formal education activities, one of which is literacy education.Fashion design is a non-formal education program that focuses on the science of designing and sewing clothes. This program is implemented in various non-formal educational institutions, one of which is the Community Reading Center (TBM). There is an important component in the fashion design program, namely facilities for learning. Learning facilities are said to be an important component because they are able to encourage a person's interest in participating in a learning program. Interest in learning is an element in supporting the success of the learning program. Without high interest from program participants, it will create failure in a program. Facilities have a relationship with interest in learning in achieving a successful program. Keywords: TBM and non-formal education

Abstract

The training in developing information and communication technology-based teaching materials for elementary school teachers in Padang Pariaman Regency is based on an analysis of the needs of teachers regarding the development of information and communication technology-based teaching materials and the level of teacher mastery over the development of teaching materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of training needs for the development of information technology-based teaching materials. This type of research is quantitative using a questionnaire. The method used in this research is quantitative. The population in this study were 350 classroom teachers in Padang Pariaman Regency. Samples were taken as many as 30 people randomly. The research instrument was a questionnaire that was processed using a percentage technique. The results showed that the level of importance of the development of teaching materials was classified as high at 66%. Furthermore, 80% of teachers stated that they really need teaching material development materials, 35% really needed to have the ability to select material sources and as many as 28% of teachers really needed the ability to make teaching materials. Based on the results of the study it can be suggested 1) teachers are given the opportunity to develop teaching materials, 2) the school needs to provide training in the development of teaching materials for teachers. must be factual and concise.Keywords: Needs Analysis, Training, Teaching Materials, Based on Information Technology

Abstract

The background of this research is the motivated by good learning achievement of children, the researchers suspect this is caused by good parenting. The purpose of this study is to reveal the picture of parenting parenting in terms of (1) monitoring, (2) closeness, and (3) support, towardSMA N 1 Sutera in Kampung Sungai Sirah Kenagarian Surantih Kecamatan Sutera Pesisir Selatan Regency. The type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population is 35 people with 20 samples. Sampling technique stratified random sampling. Techniques of data collection are questionnaires and techniques of data analysis using the percentage calculations. Based on the result of the research, it is found that (1) the picture of parent monitoring on the behavior of SMA N 1 Sutera Children in Kampung Sungai Sirah is said to be good, (2) the image of parents closeness to SMA N 1 Sutera Children in Kampung Sungai Sirah is said to be good, (3) the support of parents to SMA N 1 Sutera in Kampung Sungai Sirah is said to be good. Suggestion for parenting of SMA N 1 Sutera Children in Kampung Sungai Sirah is further improved.

Abstract

This background of research by the successful implementation of non-formal education in the Duku village of Koto XI Tarusan sub-district is presumably due to the support for non-formal education by the Duku Kenagarian Community Leader, Koto Xi Tarusan District. Research has the goal of seeing the picture of non-formal education by community leaders seen from the aspects of entrepreneurs, coordinators, and facilitators. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this research is 45 people. The population in this study was 45 people in Kenagarian Duku. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling, the sample taken is 37 people. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. Meanwhile, the data collection tool is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the percentage formula. The results showed that (1) support Non-Formal Education by Kenagarian Community Leaders Koto XI Tarusan District on the entrepreneurial aspect is said to be very supportive, (2) support Non-Formal Education by Kenagarian Community Leaders Duku Koto XI Tarusan District on the coordinator aspect is said to be very supported, (3) support Non-Formal Education by Kenagarian Community Leaders Koto XI Tarusan District in the aspect of facilitators said to be very supportive.Keywords: Support, Non-Formal Education, Community Leaders

Abstract

The background of this research is that the lack of involvement of educated citizens in participating in the PKBM Ararudah PKBM Village in Pariaman City, the researchers suspect the cause of the lack of involvement of the learning community is due to the lack of intensity of program socialization by the manager. This study aims to find a picture of the intensity of program socialization by managers, knowing the picture of learning community involvement, and how the two are related. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The study population was all learning residents who were active in the Ar-Raudah PKBM Balai Naras Village, Pariaman City, amounting to 43 people. The samples in this study were taken as much as 80% with a total of 35 people sampled. Data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire with a data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques in this study used the percentage formula and product moment. The results showed that: (1) the intensity of program socialization by managers is still lack, (2) the involvement of learning citizens is still low, and (3) there was a significant relationship between the intensity of program socialization by managers with the involvement of learning residents in PKBM Ar- Raudah in Balai Naras Village, Pariaman City.Keywords: Socialization Intensity, Involvement, Learning Citizens

Abstract

The background of this research is the phenomenon of Karang Taruna Batuang Sarumpun, Batuang Taba Village, Lubuak Bagaluang District, Padang City as the only Youth Organization that has a Minangkabau cultural arts community in which randai training, in which the program management is well managed. This study aims to determine the meaning of randai training in terms of program management aspects, namely: setting goals, determining participants, determining facilitators, determining learning methods, determining and presenting material, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This type of research is a qualitative research with a case study method. The data sources in this study consisted of research informants, namely the training manager and the randai participants themselves. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation with data analysis used, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions as well as the validity of the data from research conducted with extended participation, persistence of observation, and triangulation. The results showed that: (1) Karang Taruna Batuang Sarumpun Padang carried out randai training activities with the program management running well; (2) The purpose of this randai training activity has been carefully discussed, namely to preserve Minangkabau cultural arts that are carried out and introduced to the younger generation; (3) Determination of training participants selected from every RT in Batuang Taba Village, the participants are at least grade 2 junior high school and the maximum is not limited; (4) The selection of facilitators is chosen from professional trainers who already have experience in training Minangkabau traditional arts; 5 Determination of learning methods in randai training is determined by the facilitators themselves, namely in the form of lecture methods, and practical methods; (6) The determination and presentation of the material from this randai training is left to the randai facilitator himself; (7) The activities are carried out in the secretariat room of the Youth Organization itself, starting at 20.00 WIB until 21.30 WIB every Thursday and Sunday; and (8) The monitoring and evaluation of the randai training is carried out during the randai training activity process, for the evaluation of the participants is carried out when they will appear for the baralek event and competition

Abstract

This research is motivated by the activity of learning package B Indonesian language subjects get high score. This is thought to have something to do with the participatory learning strategy used by tutors. This study aims  to  describe  participatory  learning  strategies  by  tutors  in  B  package  program  of  Indonesian  subjects which include: (1) planning of learning activities, (2) implementation of learning activities, (3) evaluation of learning  activities.  This  type  of  research  is  descriptive  quantitative.  This  study  did  not  conduct  sampling, therefore the entire population was made a respondent. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires,  while  data  collection  tools  use questionnaires.  Data  analysis  techniques  using  the  formula  percentage. Suggestions  for  this  research,  so  that  participative  learning  strategies  can  be  improved  again  by  tutors  in learning Indonesian and other learning.

Abstract

The role of non formal education oriented toward change and micro-social behavior in the short term. Disaster mitigation is a series of efforts to reduce disaster risk, either through physical development or awareness and increased capacity in dealing with hazards disaster. Disaster education is one way of mitigation that can be done in the community such as the institute courses, learning centers (PKBM), and other study groups. Disaster education to the community is an important part that should not be overlooked. Public awareness in disaster prone areas is absolutely necessary, because without awareness, attitude and character of disaster conscious will not grow.  So that when disaster strikes all the people will not be confused, panic, because it has been studied disaster education.
