Abstract

This study intends to describe the function of the course institutions in empowering communities via roadster bicycle rental services. This study employs a qualitative research method based on case studies. This study utilized in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies to collect data. Techniques for data analysis consist of the steps of data management, data description, data classifications, data interpretation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Triangulation of the source method and triangulation of approaches are utilized in the process of validating the findings. The results of the study indicate that the course institutions play a crucial role in enhancing the local economy. Student mobility during taking the course in "Kampung Inggris" was high enough that the local community can be used to create economic opportunities. Economic opportunities are created by providing students with teaching courses with roadster bicycle rental services. The potential to boost the economy was utilized by a population for the first time in 1998. Since then, hundreds of roadster bicycle rental services have been formed, and some of them have even become family businesses in Tulungrejo village. Improving the economics of the Tulungrejo village community is inextricable from the role of the Mahesa Institute, which promotes the use of bicycles for student mobility during the "English Village" course.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to understand the development of research on technology in the context of adult learning over the last ten years. This study used bibliometric analysis to identify research trends, relationships between concepts, and author collaborations. The data is obtained from the Google Scholar database with relevant keywords, and the number of publications is limited to 1,000 journals. The results show fluctuations in the growth of publications about technology in the context of adult learning from 2014 to 2023. Out of 1,000 publications indexed by Google Scholar, only 628 have information on year and publisher, while 308 do not. The peak of publication growth occurred in 2021, with 105 publications (16.7%), while the lowest number of publications was recorded in 2017, with 50 documents (8%). Research shows that the use of technology in adult learning continues to evolve. Nonetheless, there is still a paucity of research on technology and knowledge of andragogical content in adult learning. This provides an opportunity for other researchers to continue to develop this research trend.

Abstract

Abstract

This study addressed low learning interest among participants in office application skills training at a community learning center by examining the use of NetSupport School as a digital instructional medium. A quantitative quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group was employed, involving 40 participants divided into an experimental group and a control group. Learning interest was operationalized through enjoyment, attention, and active involvement, and measured using a validated questionnaire supported by observation data. The experimental group received instruction using NetSupport School for four sessions, while the control group followed conventional instruction. Data were analyzed using paired and independent sample t-tests. The results indicated a statistically significant increase in learning interest in the experimental group, whereas no significant change was observed in the control group. These findings suggest that digital classroom management tools can enhance learning interest in nonformal vocational training, although the results should be interpreted within the study’s contextual and methodological limitations.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide assistance with digitalization and knowledge about tourism awareness in Nagari Sungai Aur, Pasaman Barat Regency. The main focus of the community service is the development of a website and social media as a marketing strategy for the integrated tourist area "Bawah Bingin," which is the new icon of the nagari. The priority issue faced is the lack of digital promotion and the palm oil-based creative economy center that has not been optimally managed. Thru this assistance, the service team from Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) conducts training in content creation, digital marketing, and support for local MSMEs to optimize promotion. The expected outcomes of this program are the formation of a tourism-aware community, the development of integrated tourist areas, and the increase in community income in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets.
