Abstract

Desa Margaasih terletak di Kecamatan Cicalengka, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. Desa Margaasih sebagian besar didominasi oleh lahan pertanian dan perkebunan. Luas wilayah perkebunan Desa Margaasih yaitu 22,00 Ha dan luas tanah sawah yaitu 121,05 Ha., diantaranya terdapat potensi peternakan dan perikananKegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertujuann sosialisasi pemanfaatan limbah pasar dan pertanian yang selama ini belum diolah menjadi suatu produk yang memiliki nilai guna, melalui proses pengolahan menggunakan jasa mikroba yang berasal dari lingkungan untuk ternak dan ikan.  Hal tersebut memiliki arti penting, karena pakan alternatiif hasil biokonversi mikroba selain untuk mengatasi ketergantungan akan pakan komersial juga bernilai tambah sebagai prebiotik. Masyarakat cukup responsif dan antusias selama kegiatan, dapat dilihat dari keaktifan dan pastisipatif selama proses PPM terintegrasi berlangsung. Bahan pering kelapa mudah diperoleh sebagai limbah pasar yang lokasinya di lingkungan desa, hal ini direspon pula oleh salah satu pembudidaya ikan yang memiliki mata pencaharian utama sebagai pedagang di pasar.  Respon positif juga didapatkan oleh kelompok tani Sugih Mukti yang berpengalaman dalam bidang agroindusti di Desa Margaasih salah satunya dengan mencoba proses fermentasi alamiah dan mengintroduksikan pengolahan pering kelapa menggunakan ragi (Saccharomyces sp.) dan jamur oncom (Neurospora sp.).  Pengolahan limbah pering kelapa dapat dijadikan sebagai pakan alternatif untuk mengurangi penggunaan pakan komersil.

Abstract

Abstract

Keseimbangan energy-protein memeiliki peran penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi ikan dan meningkatkan performa pertumbuhan ikan. Limbah kulit ari kelapa memiliki potensi sebagai sumber lemak yang dapat digunakan sebagai suplemen pakan ikan. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh minyak kulit ari kelapa terhadap laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR) dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup (SR) ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Empat pakan dengan tingkat sumber lemak yang berbeda yang diformulasikan dengan menambahkan minyak kulit ari kelapa pada pakan ikan komersial pada level 0%, 2%, 4%, dan 6% selama 35 hari. Laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR) tertinggi yang diamati pada ikan didapatkan pada ikan yang diberi minyak kelapa pada tingkat 2% dan 4% dibandingkan perlakuan yang lainnya (P 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minyak kelapa sebanyak 2% merupakan level yang direkomendasikan sebagai suplemen pada pakan ikan nila yang ditunjukan dengan laju pertumbuhan spesifik yang baik.

Abstract

Produksi budidaya benih ikan nila merah dipengaruhi ketersediaan pakan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan nutrisi benih ikan nila merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari prebiotik berbasis limbah udang dan menentukan dosis optimum sebagai bahan tambahan dalam formulasi pakan buatan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila merah (Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan 4 ulangan. Percobaan pemberian pakan dengan penambahan prebiotik berbasis limbah udang meliputi A (0%), B (1%), C (2%), dan D (3%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis pemberian prebiotik berbasis limbah udang pada pakan buatan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan harian namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila merah. Perlakuan C dengan penambahan prebiotik berbasis limbah udang dosis (2%) 2g/100 gram pakan memberikan hasil tertinggi dengan peningkatan laju pertumbuhan harian dengan sebesar 1,23% dan nilai kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila merah menjadi 92,5%

Abstract

Aquaculture activities cannot be separated from the availability of artificial feed, even 70% of the total production cost is spent on feed, so the availability of good feed, in terms of quality and quantity, is an effort to maintain the success of aquaculture activities. Feeds with high protein have relatively higher prices because some of their raw materials still rely on imports from other countries. The solution to this problem is to use alternative feed ingredients that have good nutritional content, are easy to obtain and do not compete with humans. Organic waste originating from food scraps and agricultural industry residues has considerable potential. However, it is necessary to have a fermentation process as an effort to improve the nutrition and quality of these materials. Abstract

Chitosan is an ingredient that can be used as a feed additive. In aquaculture, chitosan can be used as an antimicrobial, antifungal, antioxidant growth-promoting and immunostimulant. This study aims to determine the optimum addition of chitosan to feed to increase growth and daily feed consumption of giant gourami. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of five treatments and three replications. The treatments used were (A) without chitosan (control), (B) 2.5 g/kg feed, (C) 5 g/kg feed, (D) 7.5 g/kg feed, and (E) giving chitosan of 10 g/kg feed. The test fish used were giant gourami with a 6 – 8 cm length and a weight of 8 – 10 g. The container used was hapa measuring 1 x 1 x 1 m3 with a density of 15 fish per treatment and 42 days of maintenance. The feeding rate was 3% of the fish biomass. Data from observations of length and weight were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with a 95% confidence level; if there was a significant difference, Duncan's multiple distance test was performed. The results showed that addition of chitosan 7.5 g/kg feed was effective in improving growth on giant gourami. During maintenance, absolute length growth was 2.90 ± 0.10 cm, absolute weight growth was 15.33 ± 1.19 g, daily growth was 36.51 ± 2.84%, feed conversion ratio was 1.69 ± 0.06, and survival rate was 100 ± 0.00%. Abstract

Tilapia is favored for its rapid growth and adaptability to diverse aquatic environments, making it a widely cultivated fish. In fish farming activities, feed provides the largest contribution to the total production cost. So that farmers must use alternative feed to reduce feed costs. One alternative feed for tilapia that is easy to obtain, affordable and sustainably available is lamtoro leaves. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of adding lamtoro leaf flour to feed at different concentrations on the growth of tilapia (O. niloticus). The average weight of tilapia at the beginning of the study was 5,7 grams. This research was conducted for 40 days starting in May until June 2023, taking place in Kertayasa Village, Cijulang District, Pangandaran Regency. The method used in this research was an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, namely treatment A: 100% commercial feed (control), treatment B: commercial feed + 5% lamtoro leaf flour, treatment C: commercial feed + 10% lamtoro leaf meal, and treatment D: commercial feed + 15% lamtoro leaf meal. Parameters observed included daily growth rate (SGR), absolute length growth, and water quality. The results indicated a significant effect (P<0.05) on the daily growth rate (SGR) by incorporating lamtoro leaf flour into the feed. The highest treatment, observed in treatment C at 50%/day, resulted in the maximum absolute length growth of 4.63 cm. The water quality parameters during the study were in the proper range for the life of tilapia (O. niloticus).  Providing lamtoro leaf flour in feed does not have a negative effect on growth and water quality. Keywords: Tilapia fish, lamtoro leaf meal, growth.
