Abstract

This study focuses on the role of Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) UGT Nusantara, Raas Sub-district Branch Office in improving the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the archipelago that have limited access to conventional financing. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, which allows for an in-depth understanding of the socio-economic context and local characteristics through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman technique which includes data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results of the study indicate that BMT UGT Nusantara not only provides sharia-based financing through the Modal Usaha Barokah (MUB) program with the Rahn contract, but also provides mentoring and entrepreneurship education that significantly increases the managerial capacity and productivity of MSMEs. The success of BMT in encouraging increased income and expansion of MSME businesses cannot be separated from the support of social capital and the active role of the sub-district government. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of Islamic microfinance institutions as agents of holistic local economic empowerment, as well as the need to develop integrated financing programs with assistance to ensure the sustainability and inclusiveness of MSME growth in remote areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of brand image and brand trust on customer satisfaction at Kuno Art Shop II Bali, with purchasing decisions as a mediating variable. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires from customers of the store. The population in this study were all Kuno Art Shop II consumers, both local and foreign, with a sample size of 90 respondents. The analytical tool used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) through SmartPLS software version 4.0. The results of the analysis show that brand trust has a significant effect on purchasing decisions and indirectly affects customer satisfaction through these decisions. Meanwhile, brand image has a significant effect on purchasing decisions but not directly on customer satisfaction. The purchase decision is shown to have a major influence on customer satisfaction, and the research model shows high predictive power and good variable reliability. The findings confirm the importance of building trust and brand image to improve purchase decisions and customer satisfaction in the antiques and cultural arts industry. The main conclusion highlights that management should focus not only on building image and trust, but also on creating a satisfying purchase experience to increase customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of a 360-degree feedback performance appraisal system at PT Nusantara Sebelas Medika to enhance employee evaluation. Traditional appraisal systems often suffer from bias and limited perspectives, primarily focusing on supervisors and peers. This study applies the 360-degree feedback method, involving evaluations from supervisors, peers, subordinates, self-assessments, and customers. Data were collected from 10 respondents using purposive sampling. Results indicate that this method improves objectivity, provides comprehensive feedback, and helps employees identify their strengths and weaknesses. The findings underscore the method’s potential for fostering a transparent, fairer appraisal system and enhancing employee motivation and organizational performance. This study contributes to the academic literature on performance appraisal systems, particularly within the healthcare sector, by demonstrating the benefits of multi-source feedback in performance evaluation.
