Abstract

The heart is one of the vital organs in the circulatory system. Regular checkups are very important to prevent heart disease. The most basic examination is blood pressure then further examination is related to the evaluation of the electrical activity of the heart using an electrocardiogram (ECG). The ECG carries important information regarding various abnormalities of heart function. Several automated classification techniques have been proposed to facilitate diagnosis. However, not all digital ECG devices provide raw data for analysis. ECG classification method based on images can be an alternative in classification. Therefore, in this study, it is proposed to classify ECG based on signal images. The proposed classification method uses transfer learning with VGG, AlexNet, and DenseNet architectures. The method used for the classification of multi-class ECG consists of normal, PVC, Atrial Fibrilation, AFL, Bigeminy, LBBB, and APB. The simulation results generate the best accuracy of 92% and F1-score of 92%. Best performance is achieved using DenseNet architecture at 60 epochs. This study is expected to be a new reference technique in the classification of ECG signals.

Abstract

The hydroponic planting method is one solution for supplying vegetable needs where agricultural land is limited. Hydroponics allows the growing of vegetables in stages in a limited area by utilizing water as a growing medium. Water quality greatly determines plant fertility, so monitoring must be carried out regularly. Currently, the agricultural sector in Sukabumi has a large potential for the economy of the community. Farmers develop hydroponic farming but monitoring of water quality is still done traditionally. Therefore, in this study, a water quality monitoring system is proposed including pH, turbidity, and temperature. Another parameter that is observed is the water level in the reservoir which is useful for maintaining water circulation. This system works online through the internet network, both the sensing process, data transmission, and data display using the Internet of Things (IoT) platform. The measured parameters can be observed via a web application. Performance evaluation of sensor devices is carried out by comparing the measurement values of standard devices. The test results on the system that has been implemented show that the system has high accuracy, and all parameters are successfully displayed on the web page. The applied systems can increase the fertility of vegetables on hydroponic land so that it can improve the quality of production.

Abstract

An automatic parking system has been proposed to make the car parking process more efficient in terms of time and cost. The absence of information on the position of the parking lot makes the car driver take longer to find it. In multi-story parking lots, officers cannot constantly monitor the available parking conditions directly, so prospective parking users do not know the position of the open parking space. In addition, many parking lots use automatic door latch, but no parking space information display. Parking system automation can be based on hardware, software, or a combination of hardware and software. To the best of our knowledge, no software-based framework is entirely used on this system. Therefore, this study proposes an automatic parking system based on camera sensors and software, which is combined into an information system. The proposed method uses simple morphological operations. Based on the test results, the detection accuracy achieved is 100% with a light intensity of 3 lux, 15 lux, 30 lux, 60 lux, 120 lux, and 250 lux. The average processing time is 1.59 seconds. From this study, it is hoped that this prototype can be tested on relevant environmental conditions so that the prototype can be implemented in parking lots.

Abstract

Drowsiness while driving is one of the main causes of traffic accidents it affects the level of focus of the driver. Therefore, we need an automatic drowsiness detection mechanism for the driver to provide a warning or alarm so that an accident can be avoided. In this study, we design and simulate a system to detect drowsiness through the driver’s yawn expression. The acquisition is made by recording the face from two shooting points including the dashboard and front mirrors in the car. From the video recording, then it is taken into several images with a size of 128x82 pixels which are used as training and testing data. This image is then processed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for feature extraction and classified using a Support Vector Machine (SVM). From the tests carried out, the system generates the highest accuracy of 98%. This best performance is obtained by SVM with polynomial kernel in the camera position on the dashboard. Meanwhile, based on compression testing, the image that can still meet system requirements is 25% of the original size. It is hoped that the proposed drowsiness detection method in this study can be applied for real-time drowsiness detection in vehicles.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the non-contagious diseases that tends to increase every year. This disease occurs almost entirely in women, but can also occur in men. One way to detect this disease is by observing mammography images. However, mammography images often tend to be blurry with low quality so that it is possible to detect them incorrectly. Therefore, in this study, automatic classification of breast cancer on mammographic images was carried out using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). This proposed system uses the VGG16 architecture with a transfer learning system. The proposed system is then optimized using Adam optimizers and RMSprop optimizers. The results of system testing for normal, benign, and malignant classifications obtained an accuracy value of 80% - 90% with the highest accuracy achieved using Adam's optimizers. With this proposed system, it is hoped that it can help in the clinical diagnosis of breast cancer.

Abstract

This study describes the prediction of heart disease using ensemble classifiers with parameter optimization. As input, a public dataset was taken from UCI machine learning repository, which refers to the dataset at UCI Machine learning. The dataset consists of 13 variables that are considered to influence heart disease. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) was used for feature selection and principal component analysis (PCA) for feature extraction to reduce the features' dimensions. The application of parameter optimization on several machine learning methods such as SVM (Radial Basis Function), Deep learning, and Ensemble Classifier (bagging and boosting) to get the highest accuracy comparison. The results of this study using PSO dimensionality reduction in the public dataset of heart disease resulted in the slightest accuracy compared to PCA. In contrast, the highest accuracy was obtained from optimizing Deep Learning parameters with an accuracy of 84.47% and optimization of SVM RBF parameters with an accuracy of 83.56%. The highest accuracy in the ensemble classifier using bagging on SVM of 83.51%, with a difference of 0.5% from SVM without using bagging.

Abstract

Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus Ostreatus) is a fungus-like plant that is often cultivated in Indonesian agriculture. Oyster mushroom is raised by manipulating environmental parameters, so that it can grow in the provided Kumbung. Oyster mushroom requires a temperature that is used, which ranges from 23°-28°C, for humidity used between 70% -90% and for light intensity it requires light of ±300 lux. In this study, a system was designed to carry out automatic monitoring and control in real time based on the Internet of Things (IoT) which integrates DHT22 humidity and temperature sensors, BH1750 light intensity sensors and NodeMCU as a microcontroller with measurement results sent to the Firebase database. In addition, a water pump connected to the sprayer nozzle is installed in this system to maintain the humidity of the oyster mushroom curd. From the test results, the system can work automatically to stabilize temperature, humidity, and light intensity according to the ideal parameters.

Abstract

Statistical calculations on signals commonly used in feature extraction. In software processing, statistical computation is an easy task. However, providing a computer requires high costs for simple statistical processing. Another consideration is the need for implementation with real-time and portable processing. Therefore, an alternative device is needed, one of which is the field programmable gate array (FPGA). FPGA is a logic circuit board that can be reconfigured according to computing needs. FPGA can also be used as a prototyping of electronic chips. However, implementing statistical formulas in FPGA is interesting in developing its architecture. Therefore, this research proposes a logic circuit design that can be used for first-order statistical calculations. Statistical parameters include the mean, variance, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis. The validation test was performed on the electrocardiogram (ECG) signal series and compared with manual calculations. Validation shows that the mean and variance has very high accuracy with an average error of less than 0.06%.

Abstract

Laboratorium komputer jaringan di SMK Al Amah Sindulang memiliki peran penting dalam pembelajaran dan praktikum siswa program studi Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan. Namun, laboratorium ini menghadapi tantangan terkait kekurangan fasilitas, sarana pendukung, keterampilan guru, dan keamanan. Telkom University dan PT Srikaton Inovasi Teknologi (SIT) berkolaborasi untuk menyusun program pengabdian masyarakat. Program ini mencakup pemberian perangkat komputer, pemasangan jaringan, pelatihan instalasi jaringan dan internet, implementasi sistem akses kontrol berbasis RFID, serta pembuatan modul pembelajaran dan video tutorial. Dengan serangkaian kegiatan ini, rasio perangkat komputer dan praktikan meningkat, kompetensi siswa dan guru dalam pengelolaan laboratorium meningkat, dan keamanan akses ke laboratorium terjamin. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran dan praktikum, serta memperkuat kemampuan siswa program studi Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan di SMK Al Amah Sindulang. Melalui Pengabdian Masyarakat ini, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam kualitas dan fasilitas laboratorium, sehingga memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih baik bagi siswa dan menciptakan lulusan yang kompeten dan siap menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja di bidang teknologi komputer dan jaringan. Hasil kuisioner kepada peserta menunjukkan bahwa 100% masyarakat sasar setuju bahwa kegiatan ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan berharap kegiatan dapat dilaksanakan berkesinambungan.

Abstract

Narcotics abuse has extensive negative impacts on individuals, families, and society, including physical harm to organs and mental health disorders. Addressing teenage narcotics problems requires collaborative efforts involving educational institutions, families, and psychologists. Currently, narcotics has increasingly targeted teenagers, becoming a serious issue that demands special attention in prevention and treatment. Handling narcotic problems at the adolescent level necessitates close collaboration among educational institutions, families, and the community, including psychologists. Emphasizing the importance of early detection and prevention, this study proposes a method to detect the possibility of narcotic abuse in adolescents using the Go/No-Go Association Task (GNAT) test designed by psychologists. The study introduced the TelUnisba Neuropsychology EEG Dataset (TUNDA), an open EEG dataset with data on the emotional and habitual aspects of drug abuse in Indonesia, classified into "normal" and "risk" by psychologists. The processed EEG signal is the visual evoked potential (VEP) within 1000 milliseconds following the visual stimulus onset. The data is classified as “slow” and “fast” based on respondent's responses using MobileNetV2 architecture. Results showed MobileNetV2 achieved the highest accuracy for both normal and risk categories, with accuracies of 0.86 and 0.85 respectively. This study obtained ethical clearance and received funding support from Telkom University and Universitas Islam Bandung, with technical assistance from the Smart Data Sensing Laboratory.
