Abstract

Abstract: This research is corcerned with the curiosity of how and in what way the author is able to produce a work that is satisfactory for the reader. The story of past events by a human being is called experience, through certain experiences we can take benefits for the present and the future. Literary works are popular because there is a creator, the author. The author as a social being cannot be separated from the surrounding social situation because a literary work is a copyright that expresses feelings. Honestly, the author embodies all the tastes inherent in a literary work, so the author as the creator of a particular work experiences a creative process. The theory used in this research is M.H.Abrams theory wich states that the center of the expressive desire and creative process of a work is the author. The source of data used is the short story collection book Nganjang ka Pagéto by H.D Bastaman. the methods and techniques used in this research are descriptive methods, literature review techniques, and documentation studies, while analyzing them using qualitative research.The instruments used are divided into two, namely data collection instrument and data processing instrument. The result of this research is a collection of short story books written by H.D Bastaman included as a work which has a great value, because many of them ride on psychological value, life, and socialist society. From the research results also we know that a lot of aspects affect the results of literary works trough self-authorship and surroundings. Keywords: expressive; psycological; short story.

Abstract

This research aims to inventory the folklore in the Sabudeureun Jatigede reservoir, Sumedang district. The aim is that all or part of the folklore can be documented, preserved and planned, in development efforts so that it can be utilized optimally to improve the quality of social life of the people in West Java. In addition, it is hoped that it can maintain, preserve and develop the cultural values contained therein which can be utilized optimally to improve the quality of people's social life. This research uses qualitative methods, namely understanding the phenomena experienced by the research subjects. Meanwhile, the research techniques used are library studies and field techniques. The data collection technique uses recording or noting informants' storytelling activities which are directed at being able to answer what and how the stories, local history or myths they have. Meanwhile, interviews are used to answer the meaning or cultural values contained therein. Apart from that, secondary data was also collected related to previous writings regarding descriptions of local history, myths and folklore related to the purpose of the writing. Meanwhile, the theories used in this research are structuralism and functionalism theories. The results of the research are folktales in the Jatigede reservoir, Sumedang Regency, which contain 40 folktales, namely: Endog Sapatalangan, Prabu Adji Putih, Prabu Tungtang Buana, Resi Patangjala Seda, Dewi Nawang Wulan, Dalem Santapura, Aji Putih Sungklanglarang, Babon Kadarmarajaan, Sasakala Weak Sagandu, Sasakala Sumedang Larang, Sasakala Darmaraja, Origins of Cipeueut, Origins of Cipaku, Sasakala Cieunteung, Sasakala Cimanuk, Sasakala Cau Manggala, Sasakala Halu jeung Lisung, Buhaya Putih jeung Keuyeup Bodas, Gunung Surian, Cadasngampar, Pasircalung, Jemah, Mount Jagat, Mount Lingga, Mount Simpay, Mount Cikalingsem, Mount Pamalayan, Mount Sangkan Jaya, Mount Bande, Mount Putri, Kampung Gorowong, Kampung Leuwi Hideung, Kampung Malember, Puncak Damar, Sasakala Paauthor, Sangkuriang version of Paauthor, Larasati Suwung Rasa, Asal -Suggestions for Overtime Pamelangan, Sasakala Kampung Karedok, and Sasakala Lebak Siuh. Furthermore, the content of the story does not focus solely on local history (historiography). Other stories appear as they occur in other areas, for example about sasakala (the origins of a place), cosmological stories, such as the world of spirits and ghosts and stories related to agriculture. Viewed in terms of function, this research aims to show identity which in turn builds the character of the community. Likewise, folklore can provide an understanding of the behavior of people who believe in supernatural beings

Abstract

The existence of local languages continues to decrease the number of speakers, so it is necessary to carry out preventive efforts. The method can be in the form of transformation into digital form. This effort is a step to change the form or transfer print, audio, and video media into digital form. This paper aims to explain certain media that can be used as innovations in digital-based learning of the Sundanese language. The media are in the form of websites (sundanesepedia.com and sundaculture.com) and digital learning applications (MABS: Bahan Ajar Basa Sunda).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap dongeng dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Sunda di tingkat SMP, meskipun minat mereka cukup tinggi. Kesulitan ini dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan bahasa yang kurang familiar, terbatasnya fasilitas, dan media pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Media konvensional belum mampu menjawab kebutuhan generasi digital yang membutuhkan pendekatan lebih visual dan kontekstual.. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 140 siswa dan 5 guru dari tiga zona wilayah di Kabupaten Bandung, yaitu wilayah pinggir, tengah, dan pusat kabupaten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru masih menggunakan metode konvensional seperti ceramah dan membaca bersama dalam pembelajaran dongeng, sementara siswa mengalami kesulitan memahami isi dongeng dan bahasa Sunda yang digunakan. Sebanyak 100% guru dan 93,6% siswa menunjukkan ketertarikan pada media komik digital yang dapat diakses melalui perangkat digital karena dinilai menarik, mudah dipahami, dan meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar. Hambatan utama dalam implementasi media digital adalah keterbatasan fasilitas dan akses internet. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media komik digital sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung pembelajaran dongeng Bahasa Sunda yang lebih kontekstual dan menyenangkan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya pendekatan sistemik dan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Sunda melalui integrasi media digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan media dadu bercerita dalam pembelajaran menulis carita pendek Bahasa Sunda meliputi perbedaan antara sebelum menggunakan media dadu cerita dan setelah menggunakan media dadu cerita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen murni dengan desain pretest-postest pada siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) Muhammadiyah IV Margahayu Kabupaten Bandung. Metode ini digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil awal siswa dalam menulis cerita pendek, hasil menulis siswa setelah diberikan treatment, dan mengetahui perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media pembelajaran. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas control. Instrumen penelitian mencakup tes menulis cerita pendek dan observasi terhadap penggunaan media dadu bercerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media dadu cerita efektif dalam kemampuan belajar siswa dalam menulis cerita pendek. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh hasil pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 76 dan hasil posttest sebesar 90. Sedangkan hasil pretest kelas control adalah 71 dan hasil postest kelas control sebesar 80. Kenaikan yang didapat oleh kelas eksperimen sebesar 14 dan kelas control sebesar 7, ini membuktikan adanya perbedaan hasil yang jauh lebih meningkat pada kelas eksperimen. Bedasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest yang diperoleh, dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independent yang memperoleh hasil sebesar 0,123 menunjukan bahwa hasil pretest dan posttest berbeda secara signifikan, yakni media dadu bercerita dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerita pendek Bahasa Sunda. Selain itu, siswa menunjukan respons positif terhadap penggunaan media ini, karena membantu mereka lebih mudah dalam mengembangkan ide cerita. Dengan demikian, media dadu bercerita dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek dan diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Sunda.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to develop the competencies of Balinese local language teachers regarding the Independent Curriculum through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). This is critically needed due to challenges stemming from comprehensive changes across all sectors, particularly in the post-Covid-19 pandemic era. The activity involved the participation of local language teachers and lecturers from UNDIKSHA Bali a higher education institution producing graduates in Balinese language education. Thus, it is expected that both lecturers and teachers will comprehend the essence of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar) within the context of local language subjects. The initiative commenced with problem identification, followed by developing learning outcomes and formulating well-targeted solutions. After the FGD implementation, lecturers and teachers will be able to execute the Independent Curriculum in Balinese language subjects, particularly at the university level, preparing future graduates to skillfully implement it in their respective schools.
