Abstract

This research aims to inventory the folklore in the Sabudeureun Jatigede reservoir, Sumedang district. The aim is that all or part of the folklore can be documented, preserved and planned, in development efforts so that it can be utilized optimally to improve the quality of social life of the people in West Java. In addition, it is hoped that it can maintain, preserve and develop the cultural values contained therein which can be utilized optimally to improve the quality of people's social life. This research uses qualitative methods, namely understanding the phenomena experienced by the research subjects. Meanwhile, the research techniques used are library studies and field techniques. The data collection technique uses recording or noting informants' storytelling activities which are directed at being able to answer what and how the stories, local history or myths they have. Meanwhile, interviews are used to answer the meaning or cultural values contained therein. Apart from that, secondary data was also collected related to previous writings regarding descriptions of local history, myths and folklore related to the purpose of the writing. Meanwhile, the theories used in this research are structuralism and functionalism theories. The results of the research are folktales in the Jatigede reservoir, Sumedang Regency, which contain 40 folktales, namely: Endog Sapatalangan, Prabu Adji Putih, Prabu Tungtang Buana, Resi Patangjala Seda, Dewi Nawang Wulan, Dalem Santapura, Aji Putih Sungklanglarang, Babon Kadarmarajaan, Sasakala Weak Sagandu, Sasakala Sumedang Larang, Sasakala Darmaraja, Origins of Cipeueut, Origins of Cipaku, Sasakala Cieunteung, Sasakala Cimanuk, Sasakala Cau Manggala, Sasakala Halu jeung Lisung, Buhaya Putih jeung Keuyeup Bodas, Gunung Surian, Cadasngampar, Pasircalung, Jemah, Mount Jagat, Mount Lingga, Mount Simpay, Mount Cikalingsem, Mount Pamalayan, Mount Sangkan Jaya, Mount Bande, Mount Putri, Kampung Gorowong, Kampung Leuwi Hideung, Kampung Malember, Puncak Damar, Sasakala Paauthor, Sangkuriang version of Paauthor, Larasati Suwung Rasa, Asal -Suggestions for Overtime Pamelangan, Sasakala Kampung Karedok, and Sasakala Lebak Siuh. Furthermore, the content of the story does not focus solely on local history (historiography). Other stories appear as they occur in other areas, for example about sasakala (the origins of a place), cosmological stories, such as the world of spirits and ghosts and stories related to agriculture. Viewed in terms of function, this research aims to show identity which in turn builds the character of the community. Likewise, folklore can provide an understanding of the behavior of people who believe in supernatural beings

Abstract

Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru bahasa Sunda di Kabupaten Sukabumi dalam menulis soal bahasa Sunda berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Subjeknya adalah guru-guru bahasa Sunda jenjang SMA/SMK dan SMA di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Kegiatan yang dilakukan ini merupakan kegiatan pelatihan untuk mempersiapkan guru-guru bahasa Sunda dalam menghadapi era digital dan persaingan global. Kabupaten Sukabumi dipih sebagai tempat pelatihan karena masih jarang dilakukan pelatihan sejenis dalam rangka menghadapi perkembangan ini. Pelatihan ini menuntut peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun soal yang berkualitas serta menyajikannya secara daring yang sesuai dengan tuntutan dari kurikulum 2013 revisi 2017. Luaran dari pelatihan ini adalah (1) artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan dalam jurnal nasional (2) artikel ilmiah yang disajikan dalam seminar internasional, dan (3) draf Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI).

Abstract

Tulisan dengan judul Pembelajaran Paradigma Baru dalam Mulok Bahasa Daerah berkaitan dengan enam hal: (1) Kurikulum Merdeka; (2) Mata Pelajaran Muatan Lokal Bahasa Sunda; (3) Landasan Pembelajaran Bahasa Sunda; (4) Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Sunda; (5) Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran; (6) Modul Ajar. Tulisan ini memuat informasi awal mengenai perangkat ajar mata pelajaran bahasa Sunda sebagai bagian dari Kurikulum Operasional Sekolah (KOS), mengingat perangkat ajar Mapel Mulok Bahasa Sunda tidak disediakan oleh pemerintah, tetapi harus disusun sendiri di daerah, terutama pada satuan pendidikan. Semoga tulisan ini bermanfaat bagi kita semua dalam rangka mengembangkan pembelajaran bahasa Sunda di Jawa Barat.

Abstract

The target of the results of this service program is expected that this training will be carried out as an effort to improve the professionalism of Sundanese language teachers in Pangandaran Regency in understanding, implementing, and developing Minimal Competency Assessment (AKM) models in Sundanese language subjects. The subjects are Sundanese language teachers in junior high and high school levels in Pangandaran Regency. The activity carried out is a training activity to prepare Sundanese language teachers in facing the digital era and global competition. Pangandaran Regency was chosen as a training location because its area is quite far from the city center of West Java, so that Sundanese language teachers there must also be given the same training to deal with this development. This training requires an increase in teacher professionalism in applying the AKM model in accordance with the demands of the current application of learning policies. The output targets of this training are (1) scientific articles published in national journals (2) scientific articles presented in international seminars, and (3) draft Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

Abstract

Dalam implementasi Kurikulum 2013, banyak kendala atau masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru, terutama berkaitan dengan standar penilaian. Guru masih tetap berpola pada sistem penilaian hasil belajar bahasa Sunda berdasarkan teori penilaian secara umum bukan teori penilaian bahasa. Dalam rangka menyelesaikan masalah dan kendala tersebut, telah dihasilkan s penlitian model penilaian keterampilan berbahasa Sunda berbasis literasi, yang menghasilkan sebuah pedoman penilaian pembelajaran bahasa Sunda. Hasil penelitian akan diimplementasikan kepadan guru-guru bahasa Sunda di SMP Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang sekolahnya ditunjuk sebagai sekola  percobaan Kurikulum 2013.  Target dari hasil program pengabdian ini diharapkan para guru bahasa Sunda memiliki kemampuan dan  keterampilan dalam pengembangan dan penyusunan perangkat model penilaian keterampilan berbahasa Sunda berbasis literasi dan otentik. Indikator tersebut didukung oleh adanya peningkatan kemampuan dalam konsep model-model penilaian, perangkat penilaian menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis sesuai dengan hasil penelitian dan tuntutan standar penilaian.  Hasil akhir dari program pengabdian ini diharapkan guru bidang bahasa dan sastra Sunda memeiliki  kemampuan dan keterampilan dalam (1) menyusun perangkat penilaian berbahasa Sunda; (2) melaksanakan penilaian berbahasa Sunda;  dan (3) melaporkan hasil penilaian kegiatan belajar mengajar.

Abstract

In Australia, Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) educators have diverse educational backgrounds, including not only bachelor's or master's degrees in teaching Indonesian but also various disciplines such as linguistics and sociology. Interestingly, a number of these educators are native Australians who have mastered Indonesian. This study aims to improve the capacity of BIPA educators by equipping them with local Indonesian wisdom so that they can teach the Indonesian language and culture more effectively. This study uses a qualitative approach with direct training methods and field mentoring, which was carried out at the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra for two days. On the first day, 20 educators were introduced to the concept of local Indonesian wisdom, and on the second day, they practiced teaching using local wisdom-based materials. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with participants. The analysis results showed that after the training, 85% of participants felt more confident in integrating local cultural elements into their teaching, as measured by a post-training survey. In conclusion, this training has successfully empowered BIPA educators by providing additional skills that enable them to teach Bahasa Indonesia more engagingly and contextually. This emphasizes incorporating local cultural elements into language learning to enhance student appeal and understanding. Thus, improving the competence of BIPA educators through this local wisdom training has contributed significantly to Bahasa Indonesia education in Australia.

Abstract

The existence of COVID-19 in Indonesia was officially announced by the president in March 2020 before the virus emerged in Wuhan China. School closure was conducted and the policy of distant learning was officially released by the Ministry of Education. This research aimed to find the challenges that teachers in Indonesia encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and how teachers overcome the learning process challenges. The study was conducted towards primary school teachers in some provinces in Indonesia through an online survey with close-ended and open- ended questions. Our research findings showed teachers encounter challenges that include the disturbance in teaching and learning regarding accessibility, learning quality, school-home relationship, and technology awareness. Teachers also changed their ways of teaching by sending the learning materials via Google Classroom, WhatsApp (cross-platform messaging), and a few still conducted face-to- face meetings with strict policies.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas pentingnya keterampilan membaca di pendidikan dasar, terutama dalam pembelajaran bahasa Sunda, yang memainkan peran krusial dalam pembentukan karakter, sosial, dan intelektual siswa. Kompetensi membaca awal di SD mencakup keterampilan membaca nyaring dan lancar serta membangun budaya membaca. Metode suku kata dianggap efektif untuk membantu siswa yang kesulitan membaca, karena memudahkan siswa mengenali suku kata sebelum menyusunnya menjadi kata bermakna. Keunggulan metode ini meliputi pengenalan huruf tanpa mengeja, kemudahan identifikasi kata, dan efisiensi waktu dalam pengajaran. Berbagai penelitian mendukung efektivitas metode ini dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan, bahkan hingga tingkat keberhasilan 90%. Tulisan ini mencoba memaparkan bagaimana jika metode suku kata diterapkan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Sunda di SD dengan bahannya menggunakan buku “Budak Teuneung” sebagai media utama. Diharapkan bahwa penerapan metode ini dapat memperkaya keterampilan membaca siswa, terutama dalam pembelajaran bahasa Sunda, sekaligus mempertahankan budaya dan nilai lokal. Penelitian ini penting untuk mendukung upaya mempertahankan identitas budaya di era globalisasi, sekaligus meningkatkan kompetensi membaca siswa dalam bahasa daerah yang mulai terpinggirkan

Abstract

The existence of regional languages currently continues to decrease the number of speakers. Transformation into digital form as an alignment of the smart society 5.0 era is considered a preventive measure to prevent this condition from worsening. This paper aims to explain how the Merdeka Curriculum for Sundanese Language Subjects Towards the Era of Smart Society 5.0. Smart Society 5.0 was initiated to solve various kinds of issues in all fields of human life. To realize a revolution, it is necessary to have a lot of capital as a foundation, in this case improving the quality of human resources owned by Indonesia is crucial. There are 5 important domains in developing the quality of human resources: professionalism, ability to compete, functional competence, participatory excellence, and cooperation.

Abstract

Tulisan dengan judul Analisis Perangkat Ajar Mata Pelajaran Muatan Lokal Bahasa Sunda Berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka berkaitan dengan Pengembangan Perangkat Ajar dalam Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Pada tulisan ini dimuat berbagai informasi berkaitan dengan perangkat ajar mata pelajaran bahasa Sunda sebagai bagian dari KOS. Hal ini sebagai upaya pengadaan karena perangkat ajar Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Sunda tidak disediakan oleh pemerintah, maka dari itu perlu disusun sendiri. Semoga tulisan ini dapat bermanfaat untuk semua, dibuat sebagai upaya pengembangan mata pelajaran bahasa Sunda di wilayah Jawa Barat.
