Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Linear growth failure caused by lack of nutritional intake, infection, and inadequate parenting patterns is a stunting event. This condition has an impact on increasing mortality and morbidity rates, and inhibits children's cognitive, psychomotor, and mental development. Responsive feeding is an important step for stunted toddlers to increase food acceptance and support optimal cognitive, psychomotor, and mental growth and development. This study is needed to identify behavioral features related to stunting and the factors that influence it. Methods: This study is a quantitative descriptive study, with a Quasi-Experiment One Group without Control design, and data collection techniques are carried out through direct observation. The sample was selected by purposive sampling from a population of 379 and a sample of 30 according to the criteria of families at risk of stunting and children under five years of age. Results: The results of the study obtained a p-value = 0.000. This shows that the intervention carried out has a significant effect on increasing active feeding behavior in mothers of toddlers from the early stage to the active stage. This difference can be interpreted as the success of the intervention in improving mothers' skills or consistency in active feeding, which can have a positive impact on their children's eating behavior. Conclusion: Education about nutritious menus has a significant effect on active feeding behavior in mothers of toddlers. Increasing mothers' knowledge about the importance of balanced nutritional intake has a positive impact on their ability to choose and prepare nutritious food for children. Abstract

Introduction: Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a set of behaviors practiced based on awareness of learning outcomes. Public health can be improved by changing behavior from unhealthy to healthier. Health education is needed to increase awareness, willingness, and ability to live healthily. Health education methods are generally carried out through lectures and presentation media. The use of visual and audiovisual media can attract the attention and focus of targets, thereby increasing effectiveness. Objective: This study aims to improve the knowledge and attitudes of students about PHBS in the Darul Fikri Sungai Belidak Islamic Boarding School environment. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design approach. It was conducted at the Darul Fikri Islamic Boarding School, Sungai Belidak from July to October 2024, with a population of all students. The sample consisted of 30 respondents taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate analysis using the paired sample t-test. Results: The average value of pre-test knowledge was 8.93, while the post-test increased to 12.23 (difference 3.3). The average value of pre-test attitude was 44.60, while the post-test increased to 48.77 (difference 4.17). Before education, 40% of students had good knowledge, increasing to 76.7% after education. The good attitude of students increased from 46.7% to 73.3%. The paired sample t-test showed a sig value of 0.000 (p <0.05) for knowledge and 0.019 (p <0.05) for attitude, which indicated a significant influence of PHBS education using film media. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a positive influence between attitudes and knowledge towards PHBS education in Islamic boarding schools using film media. PHBS counseling through film media is very effective in improving the knowledge and attitudes of students, so that students are expected to be able to learn and understand knowledge well.

Abstract

Background: Work stress is still one of the problems in the workplace. Survey results show that 55.2% of health workers in hospitals experience work stress. Health workers, especially female nurses and midwives, are more susceptible to stress and anxiety because of their dual roles as housewives and workers along with the work pressures that must be carried out. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of EFT in reducing work stress in female health workers (nakes) in hospitals. Method: The research design used was Quasi Experimental. The sample was health workers, namely nurses and inpatient midwives who worked with a shift work mechanism of 25 people and were measured twice. Intervention method in this study was EFT treatment which was carried out for 7 consecutive days with 3 repetitions in each treatment. ENSS questionnaire was used to assess work stress. Data that had been collected was processed and analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test. Result: The research findings show that the difference in work stress reduction is 31.76. Analysis test shows p-value = 0.000 (?0.05) which means there is a significant difference between work stress before and after the intervention. This study proves that EFT treatment is effective in reducing the risk of work stress in health workers, especially nurses and midwives who work with irregular shift work mechanisms. The main implication of the results of this study is the innovation of work stress interventions in a way that is fun and easy for workers to do. Conclusion: EFT can be used as one of the efforts to reduce the risk of work stress in health workers in hospitals. This treatment can be adopted as a routine work program in controlling work stress in hospitals, so that it can be applied sustainably both at work and at home independently.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious nutritional problem that Indonesia is still facing. One of the cities in West Kalimantan Province that still contributes to stunting cases is Pontianak City, which is the provincial capital. The condition of environmental factors that are not optimal, supported by the characteristics of slum and densely populated areas, makes Pontianak City, especially the Murai Valley, an area that is vulnerable to stunting risks. This study aims to analyze the indicators of the home environment in families at risk of stunting in the Murai Valley, Pontianak City. The research design used is descriptive observational with a cross-sectional approach, the number of samples is 58 respondents who are categorized as Families at Risk of Stunting. Sampling was carried out by simple random sampling. The location of the research is in the Murai Valley Quality Family Village, Mariana Village, Pontianak City. Data were collected through interviews and direct observations, consisting of variables such as personal hygiene, cleanliness of the home environment, and cleanliness of latrines. The data was analyzed univariate and presented in the form of tables and narratives. The results of the study showed that the personal hygiene of families at risk of stunting was mostly 91.4% in the poor category. The cleanliness of the home environment was not clean by 62.1%, and as many as 93.1% of respondents described the cleanliness condition of the latrines as less qualified. There is a need to improve sanitation, cleanliness of the home environment and improvements to family toilet facilities. It is also hoped that there will be awareness of families at risk of stunting related to the implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors in the family order as a form of stunting prevention efforts.

Abstract

Stunting remains a serious health problem as it is associated with an increased risk of morbidity and mortality in children under five. Based on the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (IHS), the prevalence of stunting in Pontianak City reached 16.7%, which still exceeds the national target. Specific interventions are needed to address this issue, especially parenting-related ones. The role of fathers in parenting is very important to improve toddlers' health status and support children's optimal growth and development. This study evaluates the effect of "PENTING" education on improving fathers' parenting role in stunting prevention. The research design was a quasi-experiment, with a sample of 30 toddlers and mothers from families at risk of stunting selected by purposive sampling. The research was conducted in Kampung KB Lembah Murai, Pontianak City. The educational intervention was conducted six times using the flip sheet media, with data measurement before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests. The results showed a significant increase in the role of parenting by fathers after the intervention. This finding suggests that the "PENTING" educational program effectively strengthens fathers' role as part of stunting prevention efforts.
