Abstract

Peningkatan kemampuan guru harus dilakukan dengan pelatihan dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan Kepala Sekolah dan beberapa orang guru SD IT Darrusalam diperoleh informasi bahwa jumlah guru di sekolah tersebut ada 9 orang dan jumlah ruangan kelas ada 6 ruangan. Kurikulum yang digunakan adalah K.13. Proses kegiatan belajar mengajar dilaksanakan pada pagi hari. Siswa /siswi SD IT Darrusalam  berjumlah 122 orang. Mayoritas penduduk masih taraf ekonomi rendah sampai menengah dimana masih banyak dari wali murid yang bekerja sebagai buruh dan wiraswasta. Di SD Swasta IT Darrusalam  guru – gurunya belum punya wawasan dan pengetahuan dalam mengembangkan dan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang berbasis IT. Hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya pengetahuan mereka tentang penggunaan aplikasi – aplikasi sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan masih metode ceramah serta fasilitas yang masih kurang memadai.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di Kelas I Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Darussalam Ardagusema, kecamatan Deli Tua, kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan belajar siswa pada materi penyusunan kata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dan mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar pada materi penyusunan kata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan semua subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 1-B Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Darussalam yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, dan tes tertulis. Hasil analisis data penelitian ini, 1) terdapat siswa yang tidak memahami kosa kata bahasa Indonesia pada tes tertulis. 2) Faktor internal yaitu penyajian materi yang tidak menarik bagi siswa, siswa yang belum termotivasi mengikuti pelajaran, rendahnya minat belajar siswa dan ketidakmampuan memahami kelas dengan baik, dll. Namun siswa tersebut tidak mengikuti pelajaran dengan serius karena faktor eksternal faktor kurangnya semangat dan motivasi guru serta orang tua. 3) Upaya siswa, orang tua dan guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan dalam mempelajari penyusunan kata bahasa Indonesia. Tujuan seorang guru adalah untuk memotivasi siswa dan membantu mereka ketika mereka menghadapi kesulitan. Upaya siswa untuk mengikuti berbagai petunjuk terutama di luar sekolah, dan upaya orang tua untuk memotivasi dan mendorong anaknya untuk belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kesalahan matematika pada siswa kelas XII MAS Taman Pendidikan Islam dalam menyelesaikan soal statistika. Metode penelitian Yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil 6 Sempel dengan jumlah siswa satu kelas 31 siswa melalui indikator kemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendahnya. Data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa 5 soal uraian statistika yaitu mean, median dan modus. Tes bertujuan untuk mengetahui letak kesalahan siswa berdasarkan Indikator prosedur kesalahan Newman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan siswa kelas XII MAS Taman Pendidikan Islam mengalami kesulitan dan terjadi kekeliruan dalam menjawab soal hasil akhir, sehingga siswa tidak dapat menyelesaikan soal dengan baik dan benar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between self-concept and student’s learning interests. Self-concept is an individual’s perception of himself, which indudes cognitive, affective and behavioral aspects. Learning interest is the tendency of students to pay attention and be actively involved in the learning process. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. This population is all students of SMA AL Washliyah 3 Medan and the research sample consists of 25 grade XI students who were selected using a random technique. The results of the analysis showed that there was a fairly low relationship between self-concept and learning interest (r = 0,266). Thus, students with a positive self-concept tend to have a high interest in learning, while students with a negative self-concept tend to show low interest in learning.

Abstract

Students' self-concept is very important because it can influence learning motivation, engagement, and academic achievement. Meanwhile, academic procrastination is the behavior of postponing academic tasks or obligations that should be completed. The aim of this research is to determine the extent of self-concept and academic procrastination in students and to find out whether there is a relationship between self-concept and academic procrastination at SMA Al-Washliyah 3 Medan. The population of this study was SMA Al-Washliyah 3 Medan and the research sample was all 24 students in class X-C. The data collection method used is the self-concept scale and academic procrastination. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. Based on the results of data analysis regarding the relationship between self-concept and academic procrastination in students which was carried out using a correlation test in this study, the correlation coefficient value was (r) 0.519 and the significant value (p) was 0.009 (p<0.05). The results of this research state that there is a relationship between self-concept and academic procrastination in students at SMA Al-Washliyah 3 Medan. The correlation coefficient value also explains that the better a student's self-concept, the less academic procrastination behavior they carry out.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether and how the Problem Based Learning approach enhances students' capacity for mathematical creativity. The research was conducted in two cycles using Classroom Action Research (PTK). A total of 36 students from class XI at MIPA 7 SMA Negeri 2 Medan participated in the study. To be considered effective, this research must achieve the following criteria: (1) Students' mathematical creative thinking capacity must rise by 85% or more, falling into the medium group; and (3) Both student and teacher observations must indicate a good level of performance. The study found that while the average score on the first ability test was 58.85, it increased to 67.12 during cycle I and 84.78 during cycle II. Along with an increase in initial ability test scores, there was a rise in classical completeness; in cycle I, that number rose to 24 students (61.11%), and in cycle II, it reached 36 students (100%). The findings suggest that the PBL approach can help students develop their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Theoretical Model of Intelligence Integration in improving students’ self-directed learning in 21st-century mathematics education. The research addresses the problem that many students remain dependent on teacher guidance and have limited ability to regulate their own learning processes. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate whether integrating intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence can strengthen students’ self-directed learning in mathematics. A quantitative approach using a true experimental posttest-only control group design was applied, involving 120 eighth-grade students divided equally into experimental and control groups through cluster random sampling. The experimental group received instruction based on the integration of multiple intelligences through stages of contextual problem orientation, self-awareness reflection, strategic problem solving, collaborative discussion, and reflective evaluation, while the control group received conventional instruction. Data were collected using a validated self-directed learning questionnaire measuring awareness, learning strategies, learning activities, evaluation, and interpersonal skills. Hypothesis testing used descriptive statistics, regression, and correlation analysis. The results show a substantial difference between groups and a strong regression effect (R² = 0.823), indicating that the model significantly improves students’ learning autonomy and provides a holistic framework for strengthening self-regulation in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research develops Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT)-based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) worksheets for teaching triangles and quadrilaterals in junior high school mathematics, addressing the current lack of culturally relevant intructional materials. Using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the study involved 31 eighth-grade students at UPT SMP Negeri 8 Medan to create and test worksheets that integrate local cultural contexts with mathematical problem-solving. Expert validation yielded excellent results (96% for design and 95% for content), while both students (82,12%) and teachers (95%) rated the materials as highly practical. Effectiveness testing showed moderate but significant improvement, with N-Gain scores of 0,68 for problem-solving skills and 0,56 for self-efficacy, indicating that these culturally-responsive PBL worksheets are valid, practical, and moderately effective for enhancing mathematical competencies. The findings demonstrate that embedding cultural relevance in mathematics education through carefully designed PBL worksheets can effectively support both cognitive and affective learning outcomes in geometry instruction.

Abstract

This study examines the didactic challenges experienced by mathematics teachers in implementing technology-integrated Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Previous studies have focused mainly on student outcomes, while limited attention has been given to teachers’ didactic work in managing projects, technology, and mathematical understanding simultaneously. This study aims to analyze how teachers interpret and negotiate these challenges so that technology supports mathematical reasoning rather than functioning only as instructional media. A qualitative phenomenological design was employed involving 22 high school mathematics teachers selected through purposive criterion sampling. Data were collected through open-ended interviews and analyzed using phenomenological thematic analysis assisted by NVivo. The findings identified six major themes: tensions between project activities and conceptual depth, technology as a didactic black box, classroom management complexity, challenges in statistical reasoning, assessment dilemmas, and reflective didactic work. Teachers used technologies such as GeoGebra, Canva, Excel, Google Classroom, and Quizizz, yet most served primarily as presentation tools rather than as cognitive tools for mathematical thinking. The study contributes to theory by proposing a pentagonal didactical structure comprising teacher, student, mathematics, technological artifact, and project.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di kelas rendah sekolah dasar sering kali masih menghadapi kendala dalam hal pemahaman konsep, khususnya pada materi bilangan genap. Siswa cenderung menghafal tanpa memahami makna konsep secara mendalam karena pembelajaran yang masih bersifat abstrak. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji optimalisasi pemahaman konsep bilangan genap melalui pemanfaatan media manipulatif berbasis benda konkret pada siswa kelas rendah sekolah dasar. Penulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka dengan mengkaji berbagai teori dan literatur yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media manipulatif, seperti kancing, stik es krim, dan benda konkret lainnya, mampu membantu siswa memahami konsep bilangan genap secara lebih nyata dan bermakna. Selain itu, penggunaan media ini juga dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan minat belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan media manipulatif berbasis benda konkret sangat efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas rendah sekolah dasar.
