Abstract

Jagung (Zea mays L.) merupakan salah satu bahan pangan yang penting karena jagung merupakan sumber karbohidrat kedua setelah beras.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh INM berbasis silikon terhadap pertumbuhan dan karakter morfologi jagung.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan split plot design dengan   faktor,yakni faktor pertama varietas tanaman jagung sebagai petak utama dan faktor kedua Teknologi Pemupukan INM sebagai anak petak.Faktor pertama varietas tanaman jagung yang terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu V1 (Hibrida),V2(Komposit).Faktor kedua teknologi pemupukkan INM terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu S0(Kontrol),S1(INM),S2(Si),S3 (INM+Si).Kombinasi perlakuan terdiri atas 8 kombinasi dengan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan INM berbasis Si terhadap karakter morfologis tanaman jagung berpengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 35,45 hst,indeks luas daun 45 hst,laju pertumbuhan 65 hst dan efisiensi intersepsi 35 hst

Abstract

Today's economic and technological advancements have made the term “investment” widely recognized. Basically, investment is the result of various parties working together to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation. Education about the capital market can be carried out to various ages, one of which is millennials, namely high school / vocational high school students. Every child needs to be economically literate, and schools are institutions that can provide good knowledge and skills to children. Service on financial feasibility analysis is carried out to educate students in analyzing financial feasibility. This service was carried out at Jember Public High School 3 which is located in Tegal Besar, Kaliwates sub-district, Jember Regency. This service was carried out by presenting material from service members to students who had previously conducted a pre-test first. After the presentation of the material students were also asked to fill in the post-test that had been provided. From the service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that this service activity has expanded students' knowledge of engineering economics in analyzing financial feasibility.

Abstract

Dari banyaknya masalah yang dibahas, secara spesifik, Koordinasi dan FGD antara Tim Pengabdian Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember dengan IMM Komisariat Engineering Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember telah disepakati permasalahan prioritas yang akan ditangani. Permasalahan tersebut diantaranya Kader IMM Komisariat Engineering masih belum memiliki keahlian menerapkan teknologi ferosemen untuk memperkuat dinding rumah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah Kader IMM Komisariat Engineering Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember memiliki keahlian memiliki keahlian menerapkan teknologi ferosemen untuk memperkuat dinding rumah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam 5 tahapan pengabdian. Kelima tahapan pengabdian itu diantaranya pertama, Sosialisasi penerapan teknologi ferosemen. Kedua, Pelatihan Pembuatan teknologi ferosemen. Ketiga, penerapan teknologi ferosemen. Keempat, pendampingan dan evaluasi penerapan teknologi ferosemen. Kelima Keberlanjutan Program terdiri dari pembentukan Tim khusus pemanfaatan teknologi ferosemen. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan Aktivis IMM Komisariat Engineering Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember dalam menerapkan teknologi ferosemen. Sebelum kegiatan, kemampuan mereka berada di angka 20 (kategori kurang). Setelah pendampingan, penyuluhan, dan simulasi, kemampuan mereka meningkat menjadi 82,5 (kategori sangat baik). Sebelum diadakan kegiatan, kemampuan Aktivis IMM Komisariat Engineering Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember berada dalam kategori kurang. Setelah diadakan kegiatan program pengabdian di lingkungan persyarikatan Muhammadiyah kegiatan Aktivis IMM Komisariat Engineering Universitas Muhammadiyah Fakultas Teknik Jember ini meningkat pada kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Sorgum merupakan tanaman serealia dengan kandungan karbohidrat yang cukup tinggi dan sangat berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku tepung terigu, gula cair, dan bahan bioetanol. Salinitas merupakan cekaman abiotik utama yang mendominasi lahan marginal dan berdampak negatif terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman. Prolin dan gula merupakan senyawa osmoregulator yang diproduksi tanaman sebagai mekanisme ketahanan terhadap cekaman salinitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 2 faktor, yaitu varietas sorgum (Bioguma-1, Bioguma-3, Demak, Numbu, dan Suri-4) dan perlakuan salinitas dengan pemberian larutan NaCl (0, 50, dan 100 mM). Karakter morfologi, kandungan prolin, total karbohidrat, gula terlarut, dan sukrosa diidentifikasi untuk mengetahui respon tanaman sorgum terhadap perlakuan cekaman salinitas tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan cekaman salinitas dapat menekan tinggi tanaman hingga 60,46% dan berat basah hingga 40,39%.  Sebaliknya kandungan prolin, total karbohidrat, gula terlarut, dan sukrosa meningkat secara signifikan.  Dari beberapa varietas sorgum tersebut, Numbu menunjukkan potensi yang cukup besar untuk dapat tumbuh dengan baik di lahan salin dengan kemampuan memproduksi gula yang cukup tinggi. Kata kunci: sorgum, salinitas, prolin, gula

Abstract

Abstract Mojogemi Village is one of the villages in Sukowono District, Jember Regency, East Java. Geographically, Mojogemi Village is very strategically located in the middle of Jember Regency. The population in Mojogemi Village is around 3,500 residents. When discussing with the Village Head and Mojogemi Village officials, Sukowono District, they encountered a number of problems regarding the wasteful use of electrical energy in the village that the people of Mojogemi Village, Sukowono District are currently facing. The problem in question is the lack of information regarding Energy Saving Education in Villages to Support National Energy Stability and Household Expenditure Stability in Mojogemi Village, Sukowono District, Jember Regency, East Java. To overcome this problem, an alternative solution that can be applied is for the author to discuss with village officials and suggest the use of alternatives to save electrical energy at this time to be able to overcome Energy Stability and Household Expenditure Stability in Mojogemi Village, Sukowono District, Jember Regency, East Java, so that Mojogemi Village can become a Villages that save energy, especially electrical energy, can stabilize energy and stabilize village household expenses and become environmentally friendly. Therefore, the aim of this community service is to see the potential for energy stability and household expenditure stability in the village in improving community welfare by saving electrical energy in Mojogemi Village, Sukowono District, Jember Regency, East Java. To obtain the data used were observation and literature study. This service activity is an educational effort to increase Energy Saving Education in Villages to Support National Energy Stability and Household Expenditure Stability in Mojogemi Village, Sukowono District, Jember Regency, East Java. As a manifestation of the author's thoughts, there are several efforts and breakthroughs offered, namely providing education on the use of energy saving to overcome the waste of electrical energy in Mojogemi Village, Sukowono District, Jember Regency, East Java so that it can support National Energy Stability and Household Expenditure Stability and become a solution for village communities. Abstract

This research investigates the influence of sustainable agricultural practices on ecosystem balance and land productivity in Indonesia through a mixed-methods approach. A sample of 500 farmers across diverse regions participated in surveys and field measurements, contributing to a comprehensive analysis. The study reveals varying adoption rates of sustainable practices, with organic farming and agroforestry emerging as prominent choices. Statistical analysis using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) demonstrates significant positive relationships between sustainable practices and ecosystem indicators, including biodiversity, soil health, and crop yields. Regional variations highlight the context-specific nature of these practices. The findings carry implications for policy formulation, extension services, and the promotion of sustainable agriculture in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study provides a comparative analysis of the productivity of organic and conventional maize farming in East Java, employing a quantitative approach with 40 sample farms. Utilizing a Likert scale from 1 to 5, data were collected and analyzed using SPSS version 26. The findings indicate that while conventional farming demonstrates higher average yields, the difference in productivity between the two systems is statistically significant but not substantial. Organic farming shows competitive productivity, particularly in the long term, due to its positive impact on soil health and sustainability. The study highlights the potential of organic farming as a viable alternative to conventional practices in maize cultivation, offering valuable insights for policymakers and farmers in East Java.

Abstract

This paper presents a systematic literature review (SLR) of 120 academic documents sourced from the Scopus database, which analyses the efficiency of crop watering systems utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology controlled via Google Assistant. The review explores key advances in IoT-based irrigation systems, highlighting how real-time data from sensors and voice-controlled automation improve water efficiency and user experience. The findings reveal that IoT systems can reduce water wastage by 25-30%, optimise plant health, and offer convenience through voice commands. However, challenges such as connectivity issues, high implementation costs, and system maintenance complexity also need to be addressed. This paper discusses potential future research directions, including scalability, AI integration, and cost-effective solutions to expand the adoption of these technologies in agriculture and horticulture.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan sumber daya terbarukan dalam praktik pertanian berkelanjutan merupakan aspek kunci dalam upaya mengatasi tantangan global terkait perubahan iklim dan keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis bibliometrik komprehensif terhadap tren dan perkembangan dalam penggunaan sumber daya terbarukan dalam praktik pertanian berkelanjutan. Data bibliometrik dari berbagai sumber penelitian, seperti Google Scholar, Web of Science, Scopus, dan PubMed, digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi tren penelitian, kolaborasi peneliti, serta potensi penelitian masa depan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa topik ini semakin mendapat perhatian dalam literatur ilmiah, dengan penekanan pada aspek-aspek lingkungan, sosio-ekonomi, dan geografis. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi berbagai potensi penelitian yang dapat mengarah pada pengembangan praktik pertanian berkelanjutan yang lebih efisien, terintegrasi dengan energi terbarukan, serta memperkuat ketersediaan pangan global.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat Unmuh Jember merupakan salah satu bagian mengatasi masalah-masalah kegiatan social di tengah masyarakat yang salah satunya pada Pengembangan Industri Ekonomi Kreatif Desa Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Dan Kewirausahaan.. Tujuan dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah terdapat system informasi kepada masyarakat untuk memberikan pendidikan pada masyarakat perkotaan khususnya pada binaan Panti Asuhan Budi Mulia Muhammadiyah Jember sebagai solusi keterbatasan lahan yang dimiliki namun berkeinginan melakukan kegiatan usaha budidaya ikan hias rainbow dalam bak plastic dengan substrat menggunakan rumpai-rumpai tali rafia.. Dengan diterapkannya sistem program pengabdian ini diharapkan mampu menjadi solusi dari permasalahan masyarakat keterbatasan lahan dengan budidaya ikan hias khususnya diperkotaan dan tambahan pendapatan khususnya Panti Asuhan Budi Mulia Muhammadiyah Jember serta melatih generasi muda anak panti membangun jiwa berwirausaha. Program ini juga mampu memepererat hubungan antara Universitas Unmuh Jember dengan masyarakat khususnya Panti Asuhan Budi Mulia Muhammadiyah Jember sebagai wujud nyata implementasi transfer teknologi perguruan tinggi Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember melalui program pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan masyarakat ini dilakukan di Panti Asuhan Budi Mulia Muhammadiyah, Kecamatan Sumbersari, Kabupaten Jember.
