Abstract

This study aimed to describe the style of language on the terrace of news about Covid-19 as seen from the terrace / stylistic lead's writing style. A good news writer tries hard not to want to be too mechanistic. Rigid lead writing will feel tedious and unattractive. News that gives the possibility to treat as a feature are beautified, enlivened, even made like creative writings so that they are attractive to the audience. The approach used was descriptive qualitative. This research's data was the core/intro/lead of Covid-19 news that contains a stylistic style. Data obtained from the CNN Indonesia YouTube social media channel was present around the time of the research, namely starting from March to October. The data collection method used was the observation method with record and note techniques. Data were selected, classified, identified, and then described based on the stylistic lead theory. Nine stylistic terraces obtained from thirteen kinds of stylistic core used in disclosing Covid-19 news leads as the results of the study, namely: (1) punching leads, (2) descriptive leads, (3) contrast leads, (4) questioning leads, (5) quote leads, (6) cumulative curiosity leads, (7) sequential leads, (8) parody leads, and (9) greeting leads.

Abstract

Writing scientific articles for students is not as easy as writing free articles. The most basic thing in writing scientific articles is not only grammar but also the systematics of writing. A writer should pay attention to good and correct writing in accordance with Enhanced Spelling (EYD). This study aims to find out Indonesian spelling errors in scientific articles for students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program Class of 2019 at PGRI University, West Sumatra. This is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The data collection technique used is a documentary study technique. The data were obtained from document analysis, namely Indonesian spelling errors in student scientific articles. The use of documentary study techniques in this study was assisted by instruments in the form of data recording cards, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with verification. The data was analyzed by noting Indonesian spelling errors and selecting each incoming piece of data from the documentation, then processing and focusing all the raw data to make it more meaningful. The results showed that these errors were found in (a) the use of italics and capital letters, and (b) writing errors. (c) errors in the use of punctuation marks (d) errors in writing absorption elements; (e) errors in the systematics of writing scientific articles in the form of errors in writing the title; (f) mistakes in writing abstracts and keywords (g) mistakes in writing the introductory part (h). mistakes in writing the main part (results and discussion) (i). mistakes in writing the closing part (conclusion) (j). Error in writing the reference list.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze pragmatic aspects in Indonesian language textbooks at junior high school (SMP) level. The research method used is qualitative analysis of the texts in the selected textbooks. Data was collected through observation of speech acts in the text, including language use, communicative context, and pragmatic implicatures contained therein. The results of the analysis show that middle school Indonesian language textbooks generally pay attention to pragmatic aspects in selecting and compiling texts, but there are still several shortcomings in their application. Some of these shortcomings include the use of language that is not appropriate to the communicative context, as well as a lack of emphasis on pragmatic aspects which are important in learning Indonesian. The implication of this research is the importance of greater attention to pragmatic aspects in preparing Indonesian language textbooks, to ensure that the texts presented can provide students with a better understanding of language use in various communicative situations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks, khususnya teks naratif. Siswa sulit mengembangkan ide, gagasan, kreativitas dalam menulis teks teks naratif begitu juga dengan mengalihwahanakan teks yang ada ke bentuk naratif. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang membantu siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis adalah write around. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran write around dalam pembelajaran menulis teks naratif siswa fase E SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa fase XE.1 SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Data penelitian ini berupa hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa di kelas dalam pembelajaran menulis teks naratif dan hasil wawancara dengan guru Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran meningkat, siswa antusias, dan siswa bisa mengungkapkan kembali pemahaman terhadap materi yang diajarkan. Kedua, berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru Bahasa Indonesia, diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran write around efektif digunakan untuk menulis teks naratif. Hal itu berdasarkan hasil belajar yang menunjukkan rata-rata nilai 76, 38 yang berada pada kualifikasi baik. Kata kunci: implementasi, model pembelajaran write around, teks naratif This research is motivated by students' ability to write texts, especially narrative texts. Students find it difficult to develop ideas, ideas, creativity in writing narrative texts as well as translating existing texts into narrative form. One of the learning models that help students in learning to write is write around. Therefore, this study aims to describe the implementation of the write around learning model in learning to write narrative texts for phase E students of SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive research design. The instruments in this research are observation sheets and interview guidelines. The source of data in this research is phase XE.1 students of SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman, totaling 36 students. The data of this study are the results of observations of student activities in the classroom in learning to write narrative texts and the results of interviews with Indonesian language teachers. The results showed that first, students' activities in learning increased, students were enthusiastic, and students could express their understanding of the material taught. Second, based on the results of interviews with Indonesian language teachers, it is known that the write around learning model is effectively used to write narrative text. It was based on the learning outcomes that showed an average score of 76, 38 which was in the good qualification. Keywords: implementation, write around learning model, narrative text

Abstract

Jenis Penelitian Kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode korlasional dengan teknik penarikan sampel purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan kelas yang paling aktif dibandingkan kelas lain. Sampel penelitia ini kelas IX A SMP Negeri 43 Merangin Jambi dengan jumlah 27 orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian adalah angket minat baca cerpen dan tes unjuk kerja keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa SMP Negeri 43 Merangin Jambi. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh hasil penelitian (1) minat baca cerpen siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 43 Merangin Jambi memperoleh nilai rata-rata hitung sebesar 87,07 tergolong baik sekali berada pada penguasaan 86-95% pada skal 10. (2) keterampilan menulis cerpen sisiwa kelas IX SMP Negeri 43 Merangin Jambi memperoleh nilai rata-rata hitung sebesar 60,90 berada pada rentang cukup pada penguasaan 56-65% pada skala 10. (3) berdasarkan hasil uji t terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara minat baca dengan keterampilan menulis cerpen dapat dilihat nilai thitung = 4,89 lebih besar dari pada ttabel = 1,71 sehingga Hi diterima dan Ho ditolak. Selanjutnya besarnya pengaruh atau kontribusi minat baca terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 43 Merangin Jambi sebesar 3,61%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan metode Picture and Picture terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Lintau Buo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimental Design dalam bentuk posstest-only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA 2 Lintau Buo yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022 berjumlah 145 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI 1 dan XI 2. Variabel X yaitu metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture, sedangkan (variabel Y) yaitu kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan tes unjuk kerja. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini adalah skor dari hasil tes siswa. Hasil dari penelitian adalah terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Lintau Buo karena thitung>ttabel (3,306>1,671), sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 2 Lintau Buo.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of modeling techniques on the skills of writing explanatory texts for class VIII.1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Anai. This type of research is quantitative research. This research method is experimental research. The research design used is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were class VIII students of SMPN 1 Batang Anai for the 2021/2022 academic year, totaling 240 people consisting of 8 classes. The sample in this study was class VIII.1. The independent variable is modeling techniques while the dependent variable is writing explanatory text. The instrument used in this research is a performance test. namely the performance test of writing explanatory text. The results of this study are because tcount>ttable (5.13> 1.70) so that the use of Modeling Techniques influences the writing skills of explanatory texts for class VIII.1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Anai.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pelatihan penulisan teks negosiasi pada kurikulum merdeka bagi siswa SMA Negeri 14 Padang telah dilakukan. Rendahnya minat dan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis suatu teks negosiasi yang baik dan menarik disebabkan oleh minimnya pengetahuan siswa tentang penulisan paragraf pembuka, isi, dan penutup, serta aturan kebahasaan dalam teks negosiasi. Solusi yang ditawarkan atas permasalahan tersebut adalah melakukan pendampingan berupa pemberian motivasi untuk meningkatkan minat menulis teks negosiasi. Metode pelatihan yaitu kegiatan yang diisi dengan ceramah, presentasi, diskusi, dan pendampingan peserta. Peserta merespon positif kegiatan dengan menunjukkan antusiasme selama kegiatan berlangsung dan peningkatan pemahaman serta kemampuan peserta tentang penulisan teks negosiasi. Berdasarkan hasil nilai tes awal dan tes akhir yang telah dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan minat dan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks negosiasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan Mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai cerita rakyat (hikayat) siswa fase E SMA N 1 Mukomuko. Metode penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan berbentuk Posttest Only Control Design atau desain terdapat dua kelompok yaitu kontrol dan eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa fase E SMA N 1 Mukomuko. tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Dua kelas diambil sebagai sampel secara simple random sampling yaitu fase E.9 sebagai kelas Eksperimen dan fase E.7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat pengaruh dari pengunaan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil penelitian yang menunjukan bahwa nilai thitung (8,91) >t t tabel (1,66) sehingga hipotesis diterima. Dengan demikian hipotesis berbunyi ada pengaruh model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai cerita rakyat (hikayat) siswa fase E SMA N 1 Mukomuko dapat diterima kebenaranya dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 82,72 lebih besar dari kelas kontrol 67,74. Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of students to write short stories which was influenced by several factors. First , students do not understand well what is done in the short story. Second , it is difficult for students to arrange words into good and correct sentences, this is due to a lack of ideas when writing short stories. Third , students' lack of interest in education and thinking makes it difficult to determine topics that will be developed as short stories. This research aims to describe the effectiveness of the discovery learning model on the ability to write short stories based on daily events of Phase F XI students at SMA Negeri 7 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with experimental methods. The design of this research is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design . The population in this study were Phase F XI students of SMA Negeri 7 Padang. The variables of this research are the use of the discovery learning model as the independent variable and the ability to write short stories as the dependent variable. The data for this research are the scores from students' short story writing performance tests. The results of this research are First , the ability to write short stories based on daily events of Phase F XI students at SMA Negeri 7 Padang before using the discovery learning model (pretest)
