Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman relasional siswa sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan masalah FPB dan KPK yang di latar belakangi oleh siswa Sekolah Dasar yang belum memiliki pemahaman mendalam ketika menyelesaikan masalah matematis FPB dan KPK. Jumlah responden 18 siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan lembar tes tertulis pemahaman relasional, wawancara subjek terpilih. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu instrumen tes pemahaman relasional dan tes wawancara. Subjek diambil dari hasil tes pemahaman relasional sebanyak 3 responden yang sudah jenuh sebagai subjek kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Instrumen pedoman wawancara untuk memperoleh data lebih jelas pada kemampuan pemahaman relasional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman relasional pada subjek kategori kemampuan tinggi, kemampuan sedang dan kemampuan rendah. Subjek kemampuan tinggi memiliki pemahaman relasional sangat baik dalam menyelesaikan masalah FPB dan cukup baik dalam menyelesaikan KPK. Subjek kemampuan sedang memiliki pemahaman relasional cukup baik dalam menyelesaikan masalah FPB maupun KPK. Subjek kemampuan rendah memiliki pemahaman relasional kurang baik dalam menyelesaikan masalah FPB maupun KPK.

Abstract

Literasi matematika penting untuk siswa dalam meningkatkan cara berpikir logis dan memecahkan masalah dikehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa pada pembelajaran berbasis masalah materi program linear. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas XI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang didapatkan yaitu data tes tertulis dan wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan tes, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data yaitu menggunakan tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kategori tinggi memenuhi semua indikator, kemampuan literasi matematika siswa pada kategori sedang dalam menarik kesimpulan ada kesalahan karena terdapat kekeliruan pada tahap sebelumnya, kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kategori rendah tidak merencanakan penyelesaian masalah dan menerapkan langkah-langkah penyelesaian yang tepat serta tidak mengambil kesimpulan. Abstract

This research was designed with a descriptive research approach. The research objectives of the study were to: i) investigate the impact of the project task of learning video media on prospective teachers and students; ii) analyze the important role of instructional video media as a learning assistant for students; and iii) describe the function of instructional video media in increasing students’ interest and achievement in learning. This research involved 100 participants consisting of 10 students of a teacher education study program (prospective teachers), and 90 junior high school students. The researchers collected data through tests; questionnaires; and interviews. Researchers analyzed the data through descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study indicated that the project assignment of making videos for learning (on a YouTube channel) provided a positive impact on learning experiences for teachers (prospective teachers) and students. Mathematics learning video media has a role as a digital native that may help overcome the limitations of students’ knowledge and understanding. Mathematics learning videos on the YouTube channel can be a dynamic tool to increase students’ interest (as an attention, and affective function) and to improve students’ mathematics learning achievement (as a cognitive function).

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menggambarkan penalaran siswa kelas VII pada materi segiempat dengan pendekatan RME ditinjau dari self-regulation. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Terdapat 6 responden yang dijadikan subjek dalam penelitian. Dalam penelitian yang dilakukan, triangulasi (angket, tes dan wawancara) dipakai sebagai teknik pengumpulan data.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Siswa dengan tingkat self-regulation tinggi mempunyai penalaran matematis tinggi yaitu siswa dapat mencapai semua indikator penalaran matematis (2) Siswa dengan tingkat self-regulation sedang mempunyai penalaran matematis sedang yaitu tidak semua siswa dapat memenuhi semua indikator. Untuk soal kedua siswa hanya dapat memenuhi kemampuan mengajukan dugaan (3) Siswa dengan tingkat self-regulation rendah memiliki penalaran matematis rendah yaitu siswa hanya dapat memenuhi beberapa indikator salah satunya siswa hanya memenuhi indikator melakukan dugaan untuk soal kedua. Bagi siswa yang mempunyai penalaran matematis sedang dan rendah agar lebih meningkatkan pemahaman terkait materi maupun soal. Hal ini bisa dilakukan dengan membiasakan mengaitkan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Program ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran penting Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran (TPQ) dalam mengenalkan dan menanamkan nilai-nilai Al-Quran pada anak-anak usia sekolah dasar sejak usia dini. Metode pengajaran yang digunakan di TPQ mencakup pengajaran alfabet Arab, membaca, menulis, hafalan Al-Quran, serta prinsip-prinsip dasar Islam. Meskipun demikian, ditemukan beberapa permasalahan, termasuk rendahnya minat anak-anak dalam pembelajaran tajwid. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mungkin menyebabkan hal ini, seperti kesulitan teknis dan kurangnya motivasi dalam mempelajari aturan-aturan tajwid. Dalam usaha mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menarik diusulkan. Penggunaan permainan edukatif, cerita, atau aplikasi digital dapat memudahkan pemahaman tajwid secara praktis dan menyenangkan. Dalam konteks ini, dukungan dari orang tua dan pengajar juga penting untuk mendorong partisipasi anak-anak dalam pembelajaran tajwid. Dengan adanya upaya ini, diharapkan anak-anak akan lebih aktif dalam memahami dan mengaplikasikan prinsip-prinsip tajwid, sehingga pembacaan Al-Quran mereka dapat dilakukan dengan lebih baik dan akurat. This program aims to analyze the crucial role of Quranic Education Gardens (TPQ) in introducing and instilling the values of the Quran in elementary school-aged children from an early age. The teaching methods employed at TPQ encompass Arabic alphabet instruction, reading, writing, Quranic memorization, and fundamental Islamic principles. Nonetheless, certain issues have emerged, including the low interest of children in learning tajwid (Quranic recitation rules). This study identifies potential factors contributing to this situation, such as technical difficulties and a lack of motivation when it comes to mastering tajwid rules. In an effort to address these challenges, an interactive and engaging teaching approach is suggested. The utilization of educational games, stories, or digital applications can facilitate a practical and enjoyable comprehension of tajwid. In this context, the support of parents and educators is deemed crucial to encourage children's active participation in tajwid education. Through these efforts, it is expected that children will become more actively engaged in understanding and applying tajwid principles, ultimately enhancing the quality and accuracy of their Quranic recitation.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the gap between teachers' and students' understanding of language literacy and mathematical symbols. The study was designed with a concurrent triangulation strategy. The research respondents consisted of 20 teachers and 120 class VII students. Data collection through questionnaires, interviews, and cognitive tests. Qualitative data was analyzed descriptively, and quantitative data was analyzed inferentially. The results of the analysis of quantitative data show that there is a linear (significant) relationship between understanding language and mathematical symbols and mathematical literacy skills. The results of the qualitative data analysis describe that the teacher's understanding of language and mathematical symbols (high criterion) does not necessarily support the students' understanding of language and mathematical symbols. We confirm the suspicion that there is a gap in the ability of teachers and students to understand language and mathematical symbols. Students need to improve their understanding of mathematical language and symbols. The pattern of errors is based on the teacher's conception of learning in the previous class, so the process of transitioning the teacher's knowledge to students' understanding of mathematics experiences obstacles. The implication is that the process of transitioning meaning from mathematical symbols to written and spoken language must be carried out when the teacher introduces or teaches new topics to students, and the context in which mathematical symbols are used must be followed by clarification.

Abstract

In essence, a learning process involves students interacting with teachers, other students, and the learning environment in an educational setting. This study aimed to explore student learning experiences and the long-term impact of learning mathematics outside the classroom. This research is a longitudinal study, in which the research subjects change after a certain period of time. This study involved subjects as 208 male and female students. The author collected data through tests, questionnaires, and interview methods. The author then analyzed the data by comparing the same data over two periods. The results suggested that learning by utilizing learning resources outside the classroom in learning mathematics may help increase student engagement in the cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. Changes shifted from learning inside classroom to learning outside classroom have created a different learning atmosphere and provided a lot of learning experiences for students, and also increased student engagement in the cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. It indicated that learning mathematics outside the classroom has a long-term impact on student interaction in three dimensions, namely (1) the cognitive dimension; students can develop such as critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and reasoning abilities; (2) affective dimensions; students’ positive disposition towards mathematics increases while students' mathematics anxiety levels decrease; and (3) the conative dimension; such as improvement in social skills, cooperation, better communication, confidence, and diligence in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menyelidiki adanya pencapaian KKM dari kemampuan daya matematis siswa kelas VIII dan menganalisa tingkat perkembangan kognitif dari kemampuan daya matematis siswa kelas VIII ditinjau dari Taksonomi SOLO. Penelitian menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Islam Sultan Agung 4 Semarang. Populasi sebanyak 182 siswa kelas VIII. Melalui teknik cluster random sampling diperoleh kelas VIII-E (sebanyak 30 siswa) sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pembelajaran menerapkan model group investigation dengan materi geometri bangun ruang sisi datar. Instrumen penelitian meliputi soal tes tertulis.  Hasil respon jawaban siswa dari tes daya matematika dianalisa berpanduan pada Structure of the Observed Learning OutcomesTaxonomy (SOLO).  Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan (1)  Tingkat Perkembangan kognitif daya matematis siswa kelas VIII dalam memecahkan masalah geometri ditinjau dari taksonomi SOLO belum sepenuhnya mencapai perkembangan kognitif tingkat permikiran  kualitatif (relational dan extended abstract), tetapi masih terdapat perkembangan kognitif tingkat pemikiran kuantitatif (uni-structural dan multi-structural); dan (2) Penerapan model pembelajaran group investigation efektif dalam pencapaian KKM daya matematis siswa kelas VIII pada materi geometri.Kata kunci: Daya matematis, mathematikal power, geometri, taksonomi SOLO AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the existence of the achievement of the KKM from the mathematical abilities of the eighth-grade students and to analyze the level of cognitive development of the eighth-grade students' mathematical abilities in terms of the SOLO taxonomy. This research applies a quantitative approach. The research was conducted at SMP Islam Sultan Agung 4 Semarang. The population was 182 students of class VIII. Through the cluster, random sampling technique, the VIII-E class (as many as 30 students) was obtained as the experimental class. Learning to apply the group investigation model with the geometry material of the flat side space shape. The research instrument includes written test questions. The results of student responses from the mathematics power test were analyzed based on the Structure of the Observed Learning OutcomesTaxonomy (SOLO). The results of the research findings show (1) the level of cognitive development of mathematical power of grade VIII students in solving geometry problems in terms of the SOLO taxonomy has not fully achieved cognitive development at the level of qualitative thinking (relational and extended abstract), but there is still cognitive development in the level of quantitative thinking (uni-structural). and multi-structural); and (2) The application of the group investigation learning model was effective in achieving the KKM of mathematical power of grade VIII students on geometry material.Keywords: Mathematical power, mathematical power, geometry, SOLO taxonomy

Abstract

Etnomatematika merupakan sebuah kajian untuk menjembatani antara budaya kehidupan sehari-hari dengan matematika. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi etnomatematika pada Masjid Agung Kauman Semarang.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan terhadap data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Konsep-konsep matematika serta filosofi yang terdapat pada bangunan Masjid Agung Kauman Semarang adalah bangun ruang Limas Segiempat pada Atap Masjid Agung Kauman Semarang yang memiliki filosofi bahwa seorang Muslim harus memegang teguh tiga prinsip yaitu Iman, Islam, dan Ihsan serta mustaka yang memilki filosofi bahwa derjat tertinggi manusia adalah Ma’rifatullah, bangun ruang Tabung pada Bedug Ijo Mangunsari yang memiliki filosofi bahwa kata Mangunsari berasal dari kata Ma’un Syar yang artinya pertolongan dari Allah SWT, bangun datar Persegi panjang serta Konsep Refleksi, Dilatasi dan Translasi pada Pintu Masjid Agung Kauman yang memiliki filosofi sebagai seorang Muslim harus memiliki jiwa sosial yang tinggi dengan membantu sesama dan mempunyai sifat dermawan.Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika, Masjid Agung Kauman Semarang, Geometri AbstractEthnomathematics is a study to bridge the culture of everyday life with mathematics. The purpose of this research is to explore ethnomathematics at the Mosque. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Methods of data collection in this study using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out on qualitative data. The results showed that the mathematical concepts and philosophies contained in the building of the Mosque are the building of the Quadrilateral on the roof of the Mosque which has a philosophy that a Muslim must uphold three principles, namely Iman, Islam, and Ihsan and mustaka which have a philosophy that the highest degree of a human being is Ma'rifatullah, build a tube room on the Ijo Mangunsari Bedug which has the philosophy that the word Mangunsari comes from the word Ma'un Syar which means help from Allah SWT, rectangular flat shape and the concept of reflection, dilation, and translation in The door of the Mosque which has a philosophy as a Muslim must have a high social spirit by helping others and have a generous nature.Keywords: Ethnomatehmatics, Masjid Agung Kauman Semarang, Geometry

Abstract

Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan representasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari kecemasan matematika. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskripsif. Penelitian dilakukan di MAN 2 Trangkil Rembang dengan subjek penelitian 28 siswa kelas XI.Terdapat tiga instrument pada penelitian ini yaitu angket kecemasan matematika, soal tes kemampuan representasi matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil perolehan data penelitian menunjukkan profil kemampuan representasi matematis (1) Subjek dengan tingkat  kecemasan matematika “ringan” memiliki kemampuan representasi visual, simbolik dan verbal sangat baik. Kemampuan representasi visual lebih menonjol dari pada kemampuan representasi simbolik dan verbal. Subjek mampu membuat grafik daerah penyelesaian, membuat model matematika dan menentukan nilai maksimum dari system pertidaksamaan linear dengan benar dan jelas; (2) Subjek dengan tingkat kecemasan matematika “sedang” pada subjek satu memiliki  kemampuan representasi matematis visual dengan kategori baik, namun masih salah dalam menemukan nilai maksimum dari sitem pertidaksamaan linear. Pada kemampuan representasi verbal subjek kurang jelas dalam merepresentasikan hasil penyelesaiannya; dan (3) Subjek tingkat kecemasan matematika “berat” subjek satu memiliki kemampuan representasi kategori kurang pada tiga bentuk kemampuan representasi matematika.Subjek hanya mengerjakan soal representasi simbolik, namun jawaban juga kurang lengkap dalam merepresentasikan model matematika. Kata Kunci: Representasi Matematis, Kecemasan Matematika AbstractThis research applies a qualitative descriptive approach. The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical representation ability profile of students in terms of mathematics anxiety. This research method is a descriptive qualitative method. The research was conducted at MAN 2 Trangkil Rembang with the subject of 28 students of class XI. There were three instruments in this study, namely mathematics anxiety questionnaire, mathematical representation ability test questions, and interview guidelines. The results of the research data obtained indicate the mathematical representation ability profile (1) Subjects with a "mild" level of mathematics anxiety have excellent visual, symbolic, and verbal representation skills. The ability of visual representation is more prominent than the ability of symbolic and verbal representation. The subject is able to graph the area of solution, make mathematical models and determine the maximum value of the linear inequality system correctly and clearly; (2) Subjects with a "moderate" level of mathematics anxiety in subject one have a good category of visual mathematical representation ability but are still wrong in finding the maximum value of the linear inequality system. In the verbal representation ability of the subject is less clear in representing the results of the solution; and (3) The subject of “heavy” mathematics anxiety level, subject one, has a poor representation ability in the three forms of mathematical representation ability.
