Abstract

Today's rapidly growing use of social media has both positive and negative impacts on people's social lives. Moreover, based on UNESCO data, Indonesian people are very active in using social media. This research aims to The use of social media as a learning medium aims to increase students' interest in learning, improve students' ability to use technology and increase students' awareness in using social media in the context of education. The method used in this research is a quantitative method using a survey model and in-depth interviews with one teacher and students. The results of this study show that social media can be used for learning tools or media. However, in reality, currently there is no maximum use of social networking media. The results of researchers' observations by looking at the growing phenomenon, that the use of social networking media is currently mostly only used by students to be limited to sending messages with friends, playing games (games), and buying goods online. The use of social networking media is currently still not utilized as a learning medium by students. The conclusion of this research is that media in the learning process is an inseparable part of the teaching and learning process in order to achieve an educational goal in general and learning objectives. Strategies to be able to find learning media. The right and appropriate in the learning process can be done by making considerations in the selection of social media. Therefore, the limitation of this study is that researchers only conducted research on the role of the Discovery Learning strategy in Islamic cultural history lessons, researchers hope that future researchers can conduct research on the Discovery Learning strategy by developing this strategy in other subjects.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Sri Tanjung Village, Siantan District, Anambas Islands Regency. This research aims to determine the socio-economic conditions of fishing communities as seen from social conditions consisting of fishermen's education level and living conditions as well as economic conditions consisting of income and ownership of fishing gear. This research uses quantitative methods with descriptive analysis with a sample of 58 respondents. This research uses a simple random sampling technique and data collection is carried out through observation, structured interviews using questionnaires, and documentation. The research results obtained are that on the social aspect, the educational level of Sri Tanjung fishermen is still relatively low because they have only completed junior high school level, then in terms of living conditions, the majority of Sri Tanjung fishermen have their own semi-permanent houses. Meanwhile, in the economic aspect, the income earned by Sri Tanjung fishermen is classified as low, namely below the average income or UMK of Anambas, then for fishing equipment ownership status, Sri Tanjung fishermen use a fleet of boats (pompong) measuring 1 - 5 GT with fishing gear facilities. which is complete with 3 types of fishing equipment (pull fishing rod, trolling rod, and longline) and is equipped with modern technology (GPS, Fish Finder, radio, and solar panels).

Abstract

This study examines the adaptation strategies of pensi and langkitang traders in Pekanbaru, Pensi and langkitang are clams that live in fresh water and one of the traditional culinary preparations typical of West Sumatra. In Pekanbaru, there are also many street vendors selling pensi and langkitang, even special seafood restaurants have also mushroomed. The objectives of this study are to find out: 1) The adaptation strategy of pensi and langkitang traders in Pekanbaru 2) Obstacles experienced by pensi and langkitang traders in Pekanbaru. This research uses qualitative research methods. The theory used by Pierre Bourdieu's theory of Adaptation Strategies. The informants in this study were 5 people who were pensi and langkitang traders. The results of this study are 1)Biological investment strategies by sending their children to college in order to get a better job 2)Successful strategies by making savings, increase selling time and promote selling goods on social media 3) Educational strategies by finding information about how to process pensi and langkitang from friends and relatives 4) Economic investment strategies by lending to relatives and cooperatives, having a side job, establishing relationships with certain parties that are beneficial to him. The obstacles faced are due to the small business so that income is uncertain, lack of knowledge about online marketing or using social media.

Abstract

Durian is one of the fruits that are widely produced to be traded, because it has a taste that is so good to enjoy, the large number of durian fruits during the season on the roadside of a big city makes it easier for durian connoisseurs to enjoy the deliciousness of durian fruit. A descriptive qualitative approach and information selection using purposive sampling techniques, i.e., the acquisition of data from informants based on specific criteria or limitations, are used in this study to identify the components of social capital contained in durian trading business activities. These constraints or qualifications apply to traders who are considered veteran durian sellers. In this study, observation, interviewing, and documenting procedures were employed to collect data. The characteristics of social capital found in the durian trade sector are, according to the study's conclusions.

Abstract

Indonesia is the countries with the largest palm oil producer in the world. Oil palm plants are one of the plantation crops that produce vegetable oil, which has become Indonesia's main and superior agricultural commodity. In the division of labor on plantations, there is still an imbalance between men and women. Women spend a lot of time in the garden and have to divide their time into housework. The dual roles experienced by women are very influential in the division of labor. This study presents the division of labor according to Harvard's division of labor. Women also work like men in oil palm plantations and women also play the role of housewives who take care of their husbands, children, and home. Meanwhile, men only work in industry, do not want to contribute to taking care of children and other household work, women do not get the same salary as men.

Abstract

Single parent women have multiple activities and responsibilities towards their families. So that in fulfilling their needs of family life, single parent women must be able to balance their domestic and public affairs, especially when they are working. The job they are chosen is a job with high time flexibility, one of which is by becoming an online motorcycle driver. they meet various people every day, friends from a basecamp, from customers and parties they meet and their activities in order to get sustenance for the needs of their family life. The purpose of this study was to find out the rational choice of single parent women to become online motorcycle drivers in Pekanbaru City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses rational choice theory by james coleman. The results of this study indicate that single parent women working as online motorcycle drivers have their own way of dividing time for domestic and public activities, and have many friends

Abstract

Kedatangan ojek online memang membawa dampak signifikan bagi para tukang ojek konvensional, yang sering kali merasa bahwa ojek online telah mengambil sebagian pelanggan mereka. Persaingan yang semakin sengit ini kadang-kadang berujung pada konflik antara para tukang ojek online dan ojek konvensional tradisional.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1)faktor yang melatarbelakangi ojek konvensional, 2) strategi ojek konvensional ditengah perkembangan ojek online. Subjek yang dipilih pada penelitian ini berjumlah empat informan dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, dokumentasi serta observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi ojek konvensional tetap bertahan hingga saat ini karena faktor keterbatasan akses teknologi, relasi dan jaringan, serta menjadi ojek konvensional lebih menguntungkan dan bebas. Strategi penyesuaian harga adalah cara yang digunakan oleh tukang ojek konvensional untuk menjaga daya tarik mereka di tengah persaingan dengan layanan ojek online.

Abstract

Dalam konteks Pendidikan Nasional, semua cara, kondisi, dan peristiwa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sebaiknya diarahkan pada kesadaran nilai-nilai universal agama sekaligus pada upaya pemeliharaan beragam. Karena itu, pada beberapa sekolah, program ekstrakurikuler dikembangkan secara integral baik dalam pengalaman fisik maupun dalam pengalaman psikis. Model-model pengembangan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler hendaknya selalu diarahkan secara integral untuk mencapai tahapan-tahapan perkembangan kepribadian peserta didik yang matang. Ekstrakurikuler adalah kegiatan pembelajaran yang di selengarakan di luar jam pelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan, mulai dari potensi, bakat, dan minat mereka melalui kegiatan yang secara khusus diselengarakan oleh peseta didik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi peneliti di SMA Negeri 1 Gunung Toar diketahui bahwa masih banyak peserta didik yang tidak ingin mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di sekolah. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari masih rendahnya antusias siswa untuk ikut menjadi anggota dalam setiap penerimaan anggota kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Padahal melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler siswa dapat menambah wawasan mengenai mata pelajaran yang erat kaitannya dengan pelajaran di ruang kelas dan biasanya yang membimbing siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler juga siswa dapat menyalurkan bakat, minat dan potensi yang dimiliki. Adapun kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMA Negeri 1 Gunung Toar diantaranya adalah Palang Merah Remaja, Pramuka, Bola Volley, Badminton, Renang, Atletik, Vokal Solo dan Tari. Hampir semua minat peserta didik dapat digunakan sebagai bagian dari kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Hasil yang dicapai siswa setelah mengikuti pelajaran ekstrakurikuler dan berdampak pada hasil belajar pada hasil belajar di ruang kelas yaitu pada mata pelajaran tertentu yang ada hubungannya dengan ekstrakurikuler yaitu mendapat nilai baik pada pelajaran tersebut. Biasanya siswa yang aktif dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler akan terampil dalam berorganisasi, mengelola, memecahkan masalah sesuai karakteristik ekstrakurikuler yang digeluti.

Abstract

The Sanjai area, which is one of the sanjai chip industries in Bukittinggi City, is still actively engaged in the sanjai chip industry. The sanjai chip industry will be able to survive when they can apply forms of social capital in their business groups. The purpose and objective of this research is to find out the elements of social capital contained in the business activities of the sanjai chip industry in Bukittinggi city using a descriptive qualitative approach method and the selection of information carried out by purposive sampling technique, namely obtaining data from informants based on certain criteria or limitations. The criteria or limitations are the sanjai chips industry that has been running for more than 20 years, and already has its own sanjai shop. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interview and documentation techniques. The conclusion of the results of this study is that the elements of social capital contained in the sanjai chip industry consist of three, namely social networks, norms, and trust, where these three theories need each other and bind each other in each related individual, with the elements of social capital that are intertwined in the sanjai chip industry business will provide comfort to each sanjai chip industry and be able to maintain the existence of this sanjai chip industry business until now.

Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang modal sosial anak asuh di Panti Asuhan Amanah YKWI (Yayasan Kesatuan Wanita Islam) Kota Pekanbaru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana modal sosial anak asuh di panti asuhan tersebut dan bagaimana peran pengurus panti asuhan dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan modal sosial anak asuh di Panti Asuhan Amanah YKWI Kota Pekanbaru, yang mana anak asuh tersebut tinggal Bersama selama 24 jam tentu saja membutuhkan modal sosial yang mana meliputi jaringan sosial, kepercayaan dan norma sosial anak asuhnya. Dalam menetukan informan digunakan Teknik Purposive Sampling, yaitu teknik penentuan subjek penelitian yang berdasarkan adanya ciri-ciri khusus yang ditentukan oleh peneliti yaitu anak asuh putri yang menempuh Pendidikan SMA dan SMK yang berjumlah 7 (tujuh) orangTeori yang digunakan adalah teori modal sosial oleh Pierre Bourdieu. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah terdapat jaringan sosial yang baik antara sesama anak asuh serta anak asuh dan pengurus panti asuhan dan juga terdapat jaringan sosial yang baik dengan para alumni panti asuhan dan para donator panti asuhan, adanya rasa kepercayaan yang tinggi antara anak asuhnya serta anak asuh dan pengurus panti asuhan, dan juga norma sosial anak asuh di Panti Asuhan Amanah YKWI juga tergolong sangat baik, serta juga terdapat dukungan penuh dari pengurus panti asuhan terhadap modal sosial anak asuhnya.
