Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) was first implemented in Indonesia in 2007 and is said to be the number one flagship program in poverty alleviation in Indonesia. The level of poverty in Mandah sub-district can also be seen from the low income of the community so that they have difficulty in meeting their daily needs. Also for the elderly, the elderly including humans who are prone to disease, retirement as for complaints, it is only natural to receive PKH in the hope of improving the quality of life of the elderly in their old age. So this research needs to be related to this problem, especially how the lives of elderly PKH recipients after be the beneficiary. The purpose of this study was to find out how the life of the elderly recipients of the Family Hope Program was.

Abstract

This study examines the ideals of the Puteri Aisyiyah orphanage children in the Riau region in Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study is to find out about the ideals of orphanage children and how their efforts are to achieve these goals. In determining the informants, a saturated sampling technique or a census was used, namely all 8 children from the orphanage who were studying at a Vocational High School. The theory used is rational choice theory by James Coleman. The research results obtained are all informants have ideals with their own reasons. After graduating from Vocational High School, there were informants who chose to continue their education to college and some wanted to work immediately. All informants make various efforts to achieve their goals. Some informants have skills and talents that influence them in deciding their goals, and other informants' aspirations are influenced by the majors they take in Vocational High Schools. All informants have resources as supporting factors in achieving their goals, namely parental support, inheritance, and savings. Of all the informants, some are rational and some are irrational with their efforts and resources to achieve the desired goals.

Abstract

This research was conducted on fruit traders at Ms. Puan’s Morning Market, Pekanbaru citywith the aim of knowing how the social capital of fruit traders at Ms. Puan’s Morning Market, Pekanbaru city.This research was conducted on fruit traders at the Ms. Puan morning market in Pekanbaru City with the aim of knowing how the social capital of fruit traders is.this study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Research subjects in this study amounted to 5 (five) informants. The technique of determining informants, namely by using purposive sampling technique is to take subjects by specifying special characteristics with the aim of research that is expected to be able to answer research problems. In collecting data researchers used observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The theory is the theory of social capital put forward by Jhon Field which consists of social networks, beliefs, and norms. The results of this study are that social capital is very important in running a business and the smooth running of fruit business at Ms. Puan morning market pekanbaru city, such as a network that can help or facilitate the smooth running of their business. Trust that makkes it easier for them to sell fruit, with social capital such as a network of trust and norms, fruit sellers can maintain fruit and make their business easier because managing a business is carried out jointly and sense of trust is established. Abstract

The tradition of bathing a baby in Pulau Mungkur Village, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency is a celebration of the birth of a child and an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT, who previously mothers and babies were not allowed to leave the house, by doing this tradition they can leave the house freely.The formulation of the problem discussed in this study is economic capital in the tradition of Baby Bathing in Pulau Mungkur Village, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The informants from this study amounted to 7 people where these informants consisted of traditional stakeholders, the leaders of the Baby Bathing Drops, and the community who had carried out the Baby Bathing Drops tradition. Research uses the type of qualitative descriptive research. The technique in the study was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The theory used is the theory of economic capital and social capital put forward by Putnam which consists of networks, norms, beliefs. The results of the study that economic capital and social capital are very important in the implementation of the Baby Bathing Baby Tradition in the Mungkur Island community. Economic capital and social capital are very important, namely with the existence of economic capital and social capital in carrying out Baby Bathing in Pulau Mungkur Village it can be carried out because in the Baby Bathing Descend tradition requires economic capital, namely to buy the requirements for Baby Bathing, and social capital is also very important in tradition of Baby Bathing. Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang motivasi anak masuk sekolah pondok pesantren di Pangkalan Kerinci. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui motivasi anak masuk sekolah di pondok pesantren Hidayatul Maarifiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan teori Tindakan Sosial dari Talcott Parsons. Informan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 10 orang yang terdiri dari 5 anak yang merupakan siswa MTs dan 5 orangtua anak yang berasal dari luar daerah Riau. Hasil dari penelitian ini motivasi anak bertindak dalam memilih sekolah pesantren lebih dipengaruhi oleh kondisi. Hal ini terjadi karena situasi dan kondisi tertentu yang akhirnya anak memilih sekolah di pondok pesantren Hidayatul Maarifiyah.

Abstract

Policewomen are not only on duty in the general section, but some are part of the special forces in the Police Mobile Brigade Unit. In this study, researchers will focus more on discussing the Women's Mobile Brigade in Pekanbaru City by taking the subject of female members of the Riau Police Mobile Brigade Unit. The purpose and objective of this research is to find out how the profile of the Mobile Brigade of the Mobile Brigade of the Riau Police Mobile Brigade Unit in the context of action theory uses a descriptive qualitative method. The location of the research was carried out at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters of the Riau Police. There were 4 people who became informants in this study according to predetermined criteria (purposive sampling). Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The conclusion from this research is that the Polwan of the Riau Brimobda Unit are divided into different work units, so they have different goals according to their respective divisions. Polwan Brimob as the perpetrators of the action has many ways to achieve its goals. The first way is that they have to take the Polwan test, undergo initial non-commissioned officer education, then take part in Bina Tradition activities. Officially becoming Brimob, the policewomen have other ways that are adjusted to their position in the Riau Mobile Brigade Work Unit. There is special treatment for Polwan Brimob because they face conditions that come from their biology, namely as a woman. Within the Riau Police Mobile Brigade Unit, where the majority are male, Polwan Brimob continue to position themselves as women in speech and behavior. Polwan can adapt to the environment of the Riau Mobile Brigade Unit, this creates a different work experience for every woman who works as a Mobile Brigade special force.

Abstract

Batak society is a traditional society that adheres to a patriarchal system that places men as power holders and dominates roles in the group system. In Batak culture, the highest decision is in the hands of men, so there are differences in values between girls and boys. Child modality can be defined as the way of parents in modality, namely supporting, sustaining and being the basis for a child to develop in his life. The purpose of this research is to find out how the modality of girls in Batak society is. The subjects of this study were 6 people who were members of the United Batak Youth PAC Bathin Solapan. The method used is qualitative with the technique of determining informants using a purposive sampling technique. The theory used is the modality theory of Pierre Bourdieu with data collection techniques using interview and observation techniques. Based on the results of the research, the modality for girls is implemented well, even though the presence of patriarchal traditions in Batak society does not prevent the informants from giving the best for their daughters.

Abstract

Pekanbaru is one of the rapidly growing urban areas in the modernization era. The shift in lifestyle in the modernization era does not only affect women but also men's lifestyles. Some of the lifestyles of men that have changed in the current era of modernization are the way they look fashionable, smell good, clean, which is usually only owned by women. Men with this lifestyle are known as Metrosexuals. This research was conducted at a beauty clinic in Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to find out the metrosexual lifestyle from the frontstage and backstage sides. There were 5 subjects in this study, namely men who did facial treatments. The author uses accidental sampling method. Data instruments are observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the lifestyle of metrosexuals varies according to their preferences in using time and their preferences.

Abstract

Environmental protection education in Indonesia must get the attention of all parties, especially the government and its staff, because healthy environmental resources must be pursued, not surrendered, let alone let them be damaged and extinct. For this reason, it takes the government's seriousness as the maker and implementer of policy regulations through education on environmental protection that is healthy and free from irresponsible human intervention. For this purpose, we have reviewed more than a hundred international publications that have discussed environmental safety issues through application to school education in various contexts to become a model for application in Madrasah schools in Indonesia. We reviewed papers published between 2010 and 2021 as sources of scientific data and other research sources to prove this assumption. We chose a systematic review method to understand the main problem through coding systems, data evaluation, in-depth analysis, and interpretation before obtaining findings to answer environmental research problems, education, and realities of practice in the field. Based on the data found and the discussion results, we understand the relevance between government policies on government regulations and the content and behavior taught in madrasas and industry on attitudes and behavior and sanctions on the preservation and sustainability of environmental protection.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang kekerasan seksual terhadap empat orang perempuan yang ada di Kota Pekanbaru. Dalam tesis ini peneliti menekankan pembahasan pada aspek kekerasan struktural dan relasi kuasa sebagai penyebab terjadinya kasus kekerasan seksual dengan pendekatan feminis. Melalui pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, terutama melalui teknik observasi dan wawancara, tesis ini ditujukan untuk menggali informasi terkait penyebab utama kasus kekerasan seksual yang dialami oleh empat orang perempuan di Kota Pekanbaru.  Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan ditemukan bahwa kasus kekerasan seksual yang dialami oleh para korban disebabkan karena adanya kekuasaan dan kekuatan yang dimiliki oleh para pelaku yang membuat korban menjadi tidak berdaya. Posisi korban yang lemah ini dimanfaatkan oleh para pelaku untuk menekan korbannya. Kekerasan seksual tersebut juga melukai korban dalam hal identitas, kesejahteraan, dan kebebasan sebagaimana yang dikemukakan dalam teori Johan Galtung tentang kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Dalam aspek relasi kuasa dan feminisme, kasus kekerasan seksual yang dialami oleh para korban disebabkan karena posisi pelaku yang lebih tinggi dari korban dan memiliki kekuatan dari segi pengetahuan, jabatan, finansial, dsb, sehingga para korban yang mengalami kejadian tersebut tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa, sedangkan dalam teori feminisme korban kekerasan seksual disebabkan karena adanya budaya patriarki yang diskriminatif dan subordinatif terhadap perempuan. Para korban dianggap sebagai pihak yang lemah sehingga mudah mendapatkan perlakuan yang diskriminatif.
