Abstract

This research was in the Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of the life of craftsmen Weaving Tenun Siak in Kabupaten Siak. The research titled “Adaptation Strategies Craftsmen Tenun Siak in Kabupaten Siak”. Topics focus of this research is how adaptation strategies craftsmen Tenun  Siak  in Kabupaten Siak. This research subject craftsmen tenun siak in Kabupaten Siak and the leadership of the foundation that will be a source of information and research object. Samples were craftsmen  tenun siak amounted to 9 workers who are in Kabupaten Siak and the leadership of the foundation. he author uses qualitative descriptive method and the data were analyzed qualitatively. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique.                       Instruments of data are observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that the workers tenun siak: a few strategies to meet the needs of households, namely: Biological Investment Strategies, Strategy successively , Educational Strategy, Investment Strategy Economics. Of all the craftsmen Tenun Siak, work as a weaver is the main worker but not a second job to help the family economy. Before becoming Weaving craftsmen  Tenun Siak, all the craftsmen Tenun Siak  training how to produce woven fabrics Tenun Siak follow organized by the government Dewan Kesenian Nasional Daerah (DEKRANASDA) Kabupaten Siak  and partly trained work place . Keywords : Adaptation Strategies, Workers Tenun Siak .

Abstract

Indonesian people, consisting of various ethnicities and occupying different areas of residence, have developed a very diverse diet. The difference in food serving is related to the potential in each region that causes differences in behavior in response to nature. People in the watershed of life can not be separated from the river, the river as a source of life both bathing, washing, as well as food sources such as fish. So that in terms of food people in consuming what food is always eat fish from the catch. The problem formulation is how food is served (preparation, processing, and presentation) in the watershed of Tualang Village Siak Regency. The study subjects were 8 people who lived in the watershed for 10 years, in determining the subject of the author using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection is carried out using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of this study show that in terms of food the community ranging from preparation, processing, and presentation does not fully process the fish caught depending on the catch gained and the public buys more often in the market for a few weeks. The situation and conditions faced by fishermen are caused by their low education, factor of old age, difficulty finding work, ability and expertise are very lacking. Norms and values that fishermen believe are the norms that fishermen believe are the rules they agreed without writing and as fishermen must also know that taking fish as necessary. Keywords: Food Serving, Watershed Communities

Abstract

life of female prisoners at the Rokan Hilir Bagansiapiapi Detention Center. This research was conducted in the city of Bagansiapiapi, Rokan Hilir Regency, precisely on Jalan Dr. Pratomo behind the Bagansiapiapi City Regional Hospital. The purpose of this research is done because they want to see the lives of female inmates in detention Branch Bagansiapiapi which at that Branch Rutan ketauhi are merged between prisoners and detainees both the male-male and female. In this study, researchers took the theory from Pierre Bourdieu, namely social capital. In this study, to determine the informants, researchers used thetechnique  Nonprobability Sampling which was selected by saturated sampling technique or census. In this technique the researcher takes the entire population to be a sample. This study contained 4 informants with the status of female prisoners who were at the Bagansiapiapi Detention Center. There are 3 convicts with drug cases and one convict with embezzlement of funds. The results of this study are, there are prisoners' relationships with their families that are still in good contact and some are not good, such as never visiting and calling. For daily activities, prisoners are only in the detention room, the lack of facilities causes a lack of activities to be carried out. by these inmates. The activities that are carried out are only general activities that are only carried out simultaneously with other residents, such as religious activities, morning exercise activities on weekends, and other activities on other big days. Female prisoners and detainees occupy the same room with a total of approximately 17 people with a room size of 4.6 x 6.5 meters. The high level of crime in the city of Bagansiapiapi has caused the Bagansiapiapi Detention Center to overcapacity where it should have accommodated 125 people to more than 700 people. Keywords: Female Prisoners, Bagansiapiapi Prison Branch

Abstract

The Mandi Mayang tradition of the Banjar community in Keritang Subdistrict Indragiri Hilir Regency is one of the beliefs of the Banjar tribe which in the Banjar tribe means that Mandi Mayang is a purification of self to dispel bad luck. The formulation of the problem discussed in this study is economic capital in the Mandi Mayang tradition of the Banjar Community in Keritang District, Indragiri Hilir Regency and Economic Capital in the Mandi Mayang tradition of the Banjar Community in Keritang District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The subjects of this study were 7 people whose subjects were the leader of Mandi Mayang and the person who had carried out the Mandi Mayang tradition. The informant's research technique in this study was by using a purposive sampling technique. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The theory used is the theory of economic capital and social capital proposed by Putnam which consists of networks, norms, and beliefs. The results of the study can be concluded that economic capital and social capital are very important in the Mandi Mayang tradition of the Banjar community. Economic capital and social capital are very prominent in the Mandi Mayang tradition of the Banjar community, namely with the presence of economic capital the Mandi Mayang tradition is still carried out because the Mandi Mayang tradition requires economic capital in preparing Mandi Mayang requirements, and social capital is also prominent in the Mandi Mayang tradition. Keywords: Tradition of Mandi Mayang Banjar and Community

Abstract

The meaning of education nowdays was a social constructed. This research have a purpose to acknowledge how is the meaning of education for students with disability (deaf). The informant of this research is the High School student in disability. The location of this research is in the Sri Munijab School for Disabilities, Pekanbaru city. This research using the purposive technique which determines the subject of research by terms and criteria. The researcher communicate with the deaf students with sign language, which the researcher have been learned before, and using the help of stationary and writing in the interview. Therefore, data was analyzed by a qualitative method. By this research, the researcher founds that the characteristic of disability or deaf students was very different. This can be depend on the factors of disability, family background, and their social life. Construction of the education meaning for disability students is education as a necessity for the future. But their standart of education in the future, it would be different for them, rather than the normal people, because of their disabilities and a different structure in social life. The necessity for the deaf or disability student is they can speak with the sign language and living their life in along with other normal people, and in future they can be employed or work independently without depending their life with others. The encouraging factors for the achievements of the disability students is a support from parents and teachers, and their spirit to get the science and knowledge. The Sri Munijab School of Disabilities in Pekanbaru have educated their students to be confident in their social life. Abstract

Special education school or educational tutoring is conducted outside of school either in institutions or not. The cooperation between formal and non-formal education will be maximized in achieving national education goals.But not a few students who rely more on tutoring as non-formal education in achieving learning goals, this happens because the excess kelebiahn-tutoring is not owned by the school. Therefore, the formulation of the problem in this study Adala: 1. What is the motivation to follow the guidance of junior high school students studying in Quantum Innovative Pekanbaru. 2. How junior high student achievement before and after participating in Quantum Innovative tutoring Pekanbaru. Informants or subjects in this study were junior high school students who have studied two semesters following the guidance in Quantum Innovative Pekanbaru, as many as five people.The method in this study is using qualitative. The results of this study were motivated to join junior high school students in tutoring is intrinsic motivation covering want to add insight, and because it is less familiar with the material presented in school teachers. Extrinsic motivation students joined Quantum Innovative include having participated by friends, who close the distance Bimbel and parents on the basis of orders. Student achievement before joining Innovative Quantum is not good and after joining an Innovative Quantum Pekanbaru become better student achievementKeywords: Motivation, Achievement, Tutoring.

Abstract

The lack of order and compliance of motorcycle riders caused many traffic violations. Starting from violations of road markings, traffic signs, breaking into APILLs and other violations become things that can be seen every day. Of course this is influenced by various factors. This study aims to find out what factors influence traffic violations and how the relationship between education, employment and income to the level of violations of traffic rules. This research is a inferensial quantitative study, by using a nonprobability sampling technique and the research sample is determined by using quota and incidental technique. Respondents in this study is 50 motorbike riders in the Bangkinang city. Data in this study were taken using a questionnaire. Questionnaire data in the form of ordinal data and analyzed using descriptive statistics, crosstabulation, and Spearman rank nonparametric statistical tests, to see the relationship between education, employment and income to the level of traffic violations. then to look at factors of violation of data traffic taken with a questionnaire with descriptive analysis. This study found a relationship between education and the level of violations negatively correlated, which means higher levels of education tend to have low levels of violations. Between the level of violation and occupation has a negative correlation which means that respondents who have good jobs tend to commit fewer violations. Whereas the relationship between income and the level of violation is negatively correlated. respondents with high incomes commit fewer traffic violations. While the factors that drive the level of traffic violations are influenced by Indiscipline factor (indiscipline factor), Ignorance / forget factor, Ignorance factor (ignorance factor), Negligence factor, and Road infrastructure facilities. The highest factor affecting traffic violations in the city is negligence of motorcycle riders.Keywords: Abuse, Motorcycle, Traffic

Abstract

This study examines the Tradition of Basiacuong Koto Tibun Kecamatan Kampar Kabupaten Kampar. Basiacuong is one of the language culture of Kampar custom in general, is also a custom of the people of Desa Koto Tibun. This custom is inherited from their ancestors. Basiacuong used by ninik mamak Kampar in various custom events or not, such as opening Undiong "Runding" at weddings, eating bejambau, inauguration of adat, festivity, naming of children, circumcision and others. In this research, examined the form of social capital contained in the tradition of basiacuong and also the system maintains the tradition of basiacuong. Researchers use the theory of the habitus, arena and capital of Bourdieu. The research method is qualitative descriptive with the number of research subjects 9 people consisting of ninik mamak persukuan, kemenakan persukuan, people who learn basiacuong, community leaders and society. The results of this study indicate that the form of social capital contained in the tradition basiacuong the social capital, cultural capital, and symbolic capital. The author finds the system to maintain the existence of basiacuong tradition. Social capital is an important aspect of the strategy being implemented. By establishing a very harmonious relationship, well and get familiar with it all with the ninik mamak persukuan, kemenakan persukuan and people learn basiacuong to maintain basiacuong. Then the system to maintain the existence of basiacuong tradition by teaching and coaching to the young generation to continue the tradition of basiacuong, kemenakan and ninik mamak from each tribe teach and nurture to the youth generation.Keywords: Tradition, Basiacuong, Social Capital

Abstract

This research aims to discover blind parent’s parenting toward normal children in Pekanbaru. Blind parent’s parenting toward normal children in Pekanbaru was analyzed through qualitative analysis. In collecting the data, the researcher used interview method to three respondents. This research is also equipped with photo. Instrument used in this research are interview guidance and is equipped with a video recorder as well as field notes.The results showed that the tendency of blind parent’s parenting toward normal children is a democratic parenting, which is developing the openness of expression, freedom of responsible choices and decisions and do not use punishment to a fault, but the advice. Limitations in the parenting process are in the protection and surveillance functions overcome by teaching self-reliance, responsibility and communication attitude and giving confidence to the child, including the modification of the environment around. While limitations in support of learning activities for children is overcome by giving encouragement to children to be independent and by having of private teachers.The key words: Parenting, Blind Parent, Normal Children

Abstract

This research was conducted at 3 Sub district that located in Rokan Hulu regency,namely Kabun sub district, Tandun sub district and Ujung Batu sub district. Thisresearch aims to identify how the utilization of tuak shops and give descriptions aboutcausation factors of the growth of tuak shops in Rokan Hulu regency. This researchentitled “UTILIZATION OF THE TUAK SHOPS ROKAN HULU REGENCY”. Thefoundation of this research is because the researcher perceives lots of tuak shops inRokan Hulu regency and high enthusiasm of locals especially for men visiting tuak shopsevery day. The used type of this research is descriptive quantitative. Samples are theowners and the tuak shop visitors which taken by using census techniques to the shopowners amount 50 respondents that gained from Kabun Sub district, 10 respondentsTandun sub district and 10 respondents from Ujung Batu sub district. Meanwhile,sampling to the visitors of tuak shops is taken by quota sampling techniques bycalculating 10% of 20 visitors of tuak shops are 2 persons the and number of visitors are100 respondents. The data collection of this research was used questionnaires,observation, interview and documentation. The data which has been collected from thisobservation is processed by using frequency table. The result of this research is theutilization of tuak shops are utilized positively and negatively. The positive utilizationmeans utilized by visitors as a place to regroup with counterparts, spending leisure time,having relax and at shops also can find the intimacy, high solidarity. The negativeutilization means some visitors make the tuak shops as a place to have drunks, provokeother people to be a commotion as a prostitution place. The growth factors of tuak shopsin that region are economical factor, social factor, and cultural factor.Keywords : tuak and utilization
